WORMBLASTER IS BACK! THE RETURN OF WORMBLASTER THE FIFTH

Friends? I do not have any

    Posted: 12 Apr 2019 03:22 AM PDT

Hi I know that GGG and other players does not care, when it comes to such things. But I have no one to talk (to express myself) Yesterday I played in "POE" with my (as it turns out to be untrue) only friend Kenzo, we talked about new builds in the game. During the conversation, I showed him my gloves "Atziri's Acuity Vaal Gauntlets". He asked me if I could show him gloves for a moment because he would like to check something out. I gave it to him at the moment, because why not - after all, I know him almost from the very beginning of my POE adventure. After that we talked and suddenly he left the game. at the beginning I thought he got a "DC" after several minutes He came into the game changed the name and probably the name of the account - he probably thought that in this way he would remove himself from my friends list. Today I see that he added me to the "ignore list"

no matter that I lost my item - I lost a longtime friend who stabbed me with his "poison dagger"

    His acc: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Verge_In

POE has always been more than just a game to me............ now ... I do not have nothing here anymore

I am sorry that I took your time to read this (I apologize for spelling mistakes if they are). who knows maybe this is my last post

maybe it will be a warning for you, there is no such thing as friendship in life

    Best regards, Cheshire

In light of the announced Melee overhaul: Nerf pebbles pls

    Posted: 12 Apr 2019 04:52 AM PDT

When you've played PoE for a little while (6 years) you come to the conclusion that Doorways and Pebbles are the true end-game Boss in this game.

In light of the newly announced Melee changes I'd like to suggest to nerf Pebbles. Cyclone being a channeled skill sounds fantastic until you realise that you'd probably stop channeling/doing anything when your otherwise unstoppable spinning saw of death touches the almighty doom-pebble. Same goes for Shield Charge... or Lightning Strike.

I'd suggest to make Pebbles something the character mostly or completely ignores, just like the little critters or grass. They can be there but we'd walk over them as if they were a single stair. If that's impossible to code, I'd ask for a complete removal of pebbles and bricks.

That's probably a lot of work but since we are in the process of putting a lot of work into making melee great, it seems reasonable to remove a removable part of the game that does nothing but hinder 50% of the game.

We can hardly remove Doorways so that's gotta stay but I am certainly not going to miss pebbles, bricks and other small 10x10pixel particles whose only purpose is to annoy me and make the game feel bad.

Edit: I'm well aware that current Cyclone is a special case that is "fixed" in the pebble regard but the body count of those corrupted peaces of environment is still too high. If cyclone turns into a regular channeled skill it will very likely fall prey to the same limitations all other grounded movement skills do. There is no reason to assume otherwise so this is why I am bringing pebblicity to that issue.

So why does grace and determination reserve 50% of max mana but discipline does 35%?

    Posted: 12 Apr 2019 10:11 AM PDT

All three auras provide one of the defences. I guess ES is inferior to eva and armor so it needs to reserve less mana

Since 3.7 will have a melee rework, can the AI of melee minions can also be reworked for summoner players? Most melee minions' AI is fucking garbage, especially Spectre ones

With character-bound temples, syndicates, sulphite and nexuses, PoE is starting to actively discourage new builds, making me want to play less rather than more

    Posted: 12 Apr 2019 12:50 PM PDT

I understand why they do it, but the opportunity cost of starting a new character, especially this far into the league, is starting to get too high.

With two characters (94 and 95), I've already completed 36/40, killed uber elder a few times, killed 20 nexus bosses (no Cortex of my own, most likely because I started a new character), killed mastermind twice, completed three temples and made it to lvl 82 delves.

If I were to start a third character now, any masters I encounter would only contribute to brand new progress (besides azurite upgrades), rather than expand on the work I've already done.

Usually, starting a new character only meant having to redo the story mode and quickly gain levels in maps you already collected and maybe participating in the temp league's mechanic (although historically, these were always account wide in some way).

Now, to get back to the same place I'm already at, I have to beat the story, level in maps, meet alva for a temples, encounter syndicate many times for master placement and safehouses and mastermind, find Niko to mine A LOT of sulphite, and gather and run memories for reward nodes and bosses, with all of the aforementioned activities taking a very long time to advance.

So now, a month into the league, I don't want to start a new character and I don't necessarily want to continue painfully farming Betrayal, Alva, and Niko on a "completed" character.

This directly opposes the conceit that Path of Exile can be played forever and in fact, does the opposite.

[3.6.3] Suggestion: All fragmented memories should come standardised with three charges instead of sometimes two or three. Agree? Thoughts appreciated.

    Currently Needed Melee QOL Changes

    Posted: 12 Apr 2019 08:40 AM PDT

    Autotargeting:

For those who are unaware, one of the huge (and nearly required) bonuses of both multistrike, and ancestral call, is the fact that they autotarget mobs. This needs to be integrated to the default targeting system: single target melee attacks in which the player does not target a mob, needs to autotarget the nearest mob to the player, showing preference to the player's mouse cursor direction

    Weapon Range

The weapon range system as it stands is severely outdated. In the initial stages of POE, the idea was that certain weapon types would have the slight advantage of having a larger distance gap between the target and the player. However, in the current itteration of POE, where mobs have much higher movement speed and gap closing abilities, weapon range is strictly QOL. Weapon range needs to be increased both globally, and uniformly.

    Resolute Technique

RT in its current state is in a very similar state to the Bloodmagic keystone. Its a trade-off of for QOL and a slight benefit, but it severely limits the damage-scaling options of the build. Many people before have mentioned the change "Critical strikes deal no extra damage, hits can't be evaded", which would then give access to the Elemental overload keystone, but I feel that furthers the issue. Especially due to the availability of hit's cant be evaded on weapons (which gives access to Elemental Overload), I feel that RT needs to have a niche place for build diversity.

My suggestion: Resolute Technique should have a "Wheel" behind it, similar to Blood Magic. Behind the wheel should include physical attack damage / Ailment damage as minor nodes, followed by the major node "Attack skills deal 40% more physical damage against bleeding enemies". This would enable physical builds to gain access to scaling through hits, as well as through bleed.

    Crimson Dance

While the concept of stacking bleeds is interesting, the limit of 8 just defeats the purpose. Instead, we need something that mimics the idea of a higher attack speed, ramping bleed:

"Hits against bleeding enemies have a 25% chance to impale. Your bleeding does not deal extra damage while the enemy is moving."

    Two Handed Weapons

This suggestion has been added a million times, but it needs to be said again. 2 handed major nodes on the skill tree need to included increases to melee area of effect, as well as weapon range.

    Other Random Additions

    • Desperate need for more staff skills
    • Characters with slow-hitting weapons need access to a specific movement skill that doesn't scale with attack speed
    • I think GGG could do alot of interesting things with melee by taking advantage of "Nearby enemies"
