    Please wait for patch notes

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 06:45 AM PDT

As we enter the hype season, it's time to remind everyone that you should wait for the patch notes before asking for Blight related builds. We do not know the numerical values on new skills, we do not know what skills and items will be changed, we do not know the final numerical values on ascendancy changes.

Please wait until patch notes are released to ask for Blight builds. We simply can not help you until the patch notes are out, we aren't trying to be difficult.

Any solid ways to league start ranger?

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 06:43 PM PDT

Last season I league started with a MF Tornado shot to farm currency for my main and was quite happy with the result. This season I'm planning to do the same thing but with MF Lightning Arrow.

To help the leveling process last season I went Storm Brand and then respecced later into TS. Is there any way to simply level with a bow as league start to avoid having to respec/regear everything later?

I recently tried a dry run leveling directly with Lightning Arrow/Barrage and made it to Act 3 before wanting to pull my hair out from how awful the DPS is. It truly seemed unplayable. Is there any way to actually league start bow?

How do people play Spectres SSF

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 10:40 PM PDT

So legion was my first SSF experience, and I wonder how people ever play Spectres SSF. I love minions(other than SRS), but Vis Mortis/+ 1 spectre boots are very needed for spectres. How do people manage with just 2 spectres.

Champion Impale Ballista Totem stack build?

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 11:43 AM PDT

Hey folks. This certainly isn't a fleshed out idea, but I was toying with the idea of a gladiator Ballista Totem build, when I read the Champion 'new' node Master of Metal, and saw the lines

" Impales you inflict last 2 additional Hits 20% chance to Impale Enemies on Hit with Attacks If you've Impaled an Enemy Recently, you nd nearby Allies have +1000 to Armour You and nearby Allies deal 6 to 12 added Physical Damage for each Impale on Enemy "

At 3 impales, and a build that stacks 4-10 ballista totems using Iron Commander (or perhaps with Crimson Storm instead with less totems), this seems like a pretty huge dps boost. (Plus the already big boost from impale effect stacking itself). From there I thought I would work on flat phys damage to boost Crimson Dance bleed damage.

    Thoughts?

Here's what we already know about the BEST BUILDS for PATH OF EXILE BLIGHT 3.8!!!!1!!

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 08:16 AM PDT

tl/dr: We don't know much. It's fun to theorize, sure, but it's kind of like imagining what you're going to do with all the money you'll win from an upcoming lottery.

We know they're reworking Necromancers, Assassins and Saboteurs (and possibly bits and pieces of Raiders). This may make them godlike right away (a la 3.7 cyclone) or it may make them unplayable for a little while (a la 3.7 most other melee builds).

We know that major gameplay changes can sometimes lead to bugs in seemingly unrelated mechanics, such as Accuracy or passive tree Ascendancy nodes.

We know that it's possible that trade will go down for no reason, like it did for a couple of weeks at the beginning of 3.7, which means that it's possible we won't be able to rely on builds that are designed around specific uniques.

We know that there's a new Blight mechanic, which may work pretty well right away (3.7) or it may work really poorly right away (3.6).

We know that the patch notes and the gem descriptions, the sorts of things that can help us answer specific questions, don't come until the beginning of September. We also know there's no guarantee that this information will help us help you.

We also know that time travel is (currently) impossible, and that if we had it, there'd probably be better uses for it than jumping ahead to see what builds work the best on day 1 of a video game update.

No-salt answer: You'll probably be ok if you use a league starter build that's worked well in the past and whose mechanics aren't going to be touched. But, we know that we don't know this for 100% certain.

3.8 Looking for a recommended summoner build

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 04:16 AM PDT

I never played a summoner build in PoE before but with the new changes to minions in 3.8, I'd like to try a summoner build. Any suggestions on what to play?
