WTB Blight Developer Baeclast Topics Please

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 07:54 AM PDT

The plan is on either Saturday the 31st of August or Sunday the 1st of September, Baeclast will be joined by two GGG devs. Jonathan Rogers & Neon aka Mark2 to talk about the upcoming Blight League.

The dates & times are still a little in the air but expect the episode to start on twitch.tv/tarkecat roughly around 7-8pm NZ time. Once dates and times are locked in I will make an update with a countdown timer.

If you can't catch the episode live then you will be able to find it in full at https://www.youtube.com/c/tarkecat

We also upload short episode highlights for people who don't have time for a full episode on Raiz's Channel https://www.youtube.com/user/RaizQT

Anyway any questions you have either about Blight league itself or the many other changes coming in 3.8 let us know. I'll work the best ones into our topic list for the show.

    Thanks

Abaxoth Depth 729 vs Bleeding - Build description and PoB in the comments

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 05:27 AM PDT

Lets be honest, this is not going to be a 'Summoner meta' league...

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 05:53 AM PDT

Yes, Summoner will be reworked, buffed and new minion gems will be added to the game, new and reworked items will allow a diversity of viable minion builds, but after the glow of the new shiny toys will be over, people who doesnt extremely enjoy minion builds in particular will go back to what works best - cyclone (unless it will be gutted like WOrb), TS etc...

Overall I think it's great to have build diversity (I always play non-meta crap and try to make my own builds) but minion builds will never be the 'Meta 50% of playerbase' stuff

Xai SSFHC Act 10 Kitava race: results, clips & VODs!

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 12:29 AM PDT

The first race I even organized is done! It was a great success, while still having learned some stuff that I can do better in organizing.

    Results

    1. xLeaf @2:31:38 -- winning €166,50
    2. Havoc @2:31:49 - winning €99,90
    3. Fitegarr @2:35:15 winning €66,60

With the old recorded WR being 2:33 from tie23he it means that Leaf now holds the fastest recorded A10 Kitava kill. Since the times above are measured from league start, and the WR timing is measured from when you move your first character on the Strand his official "speedrun" time is 2:31:17

    VODS & Clips

    Thanks & Acknowledgements

There's a lot of people to thank for this:

    • Everyone who contributed to the prizepool
    • Famee, Octavian0, Phoenix_fir3, RaizQT and Sheh_ for their amazing casting
    • Muqve for creating the tool the casters use, and fixing issues even during the race
    • Pertinax for being on-point with his clip creation
    • Skryah for creating the art for this race
    • Viyro for helping managing the race behind the scenes
    • Kammell for all his info about race organizing and hooking me up with people who could help
    • All participants
    • You guys: the viewers!

    Next race

I'm not announcing the next race I'll organize yet, but it'll likely be about a month into the next league. As for the format: I'm not sure yet, so any suggestions would be great, I am considering a SC race forcing people to resurrect in town or maybe a more unique goal like Merciless lab.

    Love for Bino's Kitchen Knife?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 12:04 AM PDT

As everyone know Bino's Kitchen Knife is useless weapon and it is like that from quite a long time, but when I think Poison Assassin first thing that comes to my mind is Bino and I think GGG may tweak it a little bit in coming patch (I hope they will). Easiest solution would be doubling range of spread, as currently it is almost non-existing.

Other option would be something like 20% chance to deal 100% more damage with poison (global, not only with this weapon) or 40% with this weapon.

What do you think? How GGG will (I hope) fix it?

    Update: Laptop RAM upgrade

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 01:35 PM PDT

Update to this post: Laptop RAM upgrade

So basically almost everybody said it would make no difference -- It made an extreme difference.

I went from being unable to play in most situations, to be able to play at max resolution and medium settings (opposed to lowest possible settings) and carry 5 way legion with a full group. To reiterate, I went from literally unplayable to the most hectic content being a breeze.

Most everybody just said it would make zero difference, and they were incredibly wrong.

So if you have a shit potato laptop with low ram, just try an upgrade. You can get 16g of RAM for like $70 for laptops now, and the difference is staggering.

TLDR: You were all wrong as fuck.

I'd love to see a few new Unique Daggers to give them some love. Any ideas for some cool daggers?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 03:41 AM PDT

This is the one I came up with:

Something like a 250~350 pdps dagger that says something like

"1% More damage with Hits for each Poison on the same Enemy"

"5% Less Poison Duration per Poison Stack"

"Chance to Deal Double damage to enemies with no Poison Stacks is equal to your Chance to Poison"

    "20% Chance to Poison"

So it could scale nicely versus bosses and still be viable for clearing.

EDIT: So many more people commenting on the one I came up with rather than posting an idea for a unique lol

Would love to get a lot more Unique Dagger suggestions on here. People could comment on ways to improve them/prevent them from being too OP.

is feeding frenzy buff global or only for supported minions?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 07:24 AM PDT

the wording in the showcase wasn't clear to me:

" It also gives hits from the minions a chance to give you the Feeding Frenzy buff, granting more minion damage and increased minion attack, cast and movement speed. While you have the Feeding Frenzy buff, the supported minions deal even more damage. "

does the buff grant more minion dmg / as / cs / ms to all minions + even more dmg to the supported minions?

Melee Splash should either be combined with Ancestral Call or/and have interaction with Blood and Sand Stance.

    Posted: 24 Aug 2019 04:30 PM PDT

To be honest no one is really surprised that namelock skills are in bad spot (not like they are from the beginning) compared to newer skills. No matter how much you boost numbers if skill is clumsy to use. That's the main reason people only used Vaal Double Strike for clones or Molten Strike fall down in popularity after change it into stricte namelock. And of course they're viable, like almost everything those days, but problem is almost no one wants to struggle while you can jump on much better skill like Cyclone. And no! Nerfing Cyclone wont mean everyone goes back to namelock skills. They will go for spells, bows or summoners...

Melee Splash need to be changed into proper AoE on it's own. It's kind of joke that you need to sacrifice 2 extra gem slots only for making skill playable. Bow builds have huge benefits for putting utility gems in while other melee don't need to even think about such sacrifice. And btw, do I need to talk about mana multipliers on MS and AC? Add on top of that broken state of Multistrike.

    But what can we do?

    • I think it's good idea to start with combining Melee Splash and Ancestral Call. It would save up additional socket which already would be huge on it's own.

    • On top of that it wouldn't hurt to buff that huge base radius of 14 units (24 with 20/20) to make it really comparable with real melee skills. Or add more interaction with attack range.

    • As we talk with AoE, it would be really great if all namelock skills active their effect without need to hit anything so hitting air wouldn't be annoying (creating splash).

    • Another good step would be reducing mana multiplier on MS and/or AC.

    • Introduction of Blood and Sand stances is great way to manipulate stats of Melee Splash. Switch from clearing to single target without changing gem setup. Something like Pulverise Support or Shockwave Support effects.

    TL;DR:

Reworking one melee skill wasn't melee rework players wanted. We want options which are FUN to play around. And overnerfing Cyclone won't make people go for namelock skills.

Do the effects of 'Increased Effect Of Chill On Enemies' Apply to the effect of Chilling ground created by you?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 11:14 AM PDT

For example, Does bonechill support's [44% increased effect of chill on enemies] socketed to cold snap make the chilling ground more effective?
