    • Skill tree is already fully optimized.
    • 4th Ascendancy node fully up to you but I strongly recommend Opportunistic to get a constant DPS multiplier for bosses and added tankiness while mapping. Noxious Strike, Toxic Delivery, and Mistwalker are a MUST-HAVE.
    • When info on skill gems are released, I might do some changes depending on the numbers.
    • One thing is for sure though, I'll be getting the new poison aura which lets me store poison and release it for more DPS. Depending on its mana reservation, I might replace HoA with it and add War Banner.
    • Grab a mana leech node near Essence Sap while still leveling.
    • Keep Precision at level 2.
    • Should be a great league starter (a budget as well) and a well-rounded build in the late game. 75% attack dodge and 50% spell dodge most of the time.
    • Belt can be replaced with something which has more synergy.
    • Don't forget to get the annointed node which gives us 2x chaos resistance! This will make gearing easier as we need to get up to 85% chaos resist.
    • Don't forget to take Xibaqua legion jewel and put it near Point Blank!
    • This was heavily based on Mathil's SA Pathfinder, I just tweaked and optimized it for Assassin 3.8.
    • Let's keep this a "secret" as to not inflate the prices of our items at the start of the league. :)

    Cobra lash - Assassin - HC. Build discussion welcome

    Hi.

    Im acctually going HC with this aswell.So might change to get even more HP.

    Gear is just 2 wasp nests and then rare evasion with life on them, so see what HP number you can reach.
    Also, viper strike will be replaced with cobra lash and Void manipulation will be replaced with nightblade. Cobra lash looks insane with the +5 chain and nightblade could be the most OP support them I have seen ever tbh.
    If you can get in to the elusive mechanic with reseting with withering step and having high enough crit, you should be looking at almost maxed out elusive buff up at all times.

    When it comes to gear, the gloves in my PoB seems good, the chest which give +1 lesser posion and X% poison dmg when above 300 dex seems good aswell.But the best weapons are gonna be delve crafts(corroded fossil) to get"60% chance for poison applied with this weapon to deal 100% more dmg" and high phys+attack speed.

    The numbers are looking very solid so far. Over 5k HP and a TON! of elusive defences, 65% dodge, 55% spell dodge and around 50-60% evasion.Then the no extra damage from crits and 8% dmg reduction while having elusive buff, should be rly rly strong.

    My poison build for 3.8

    made a post yesterday about trying to make a mine build, decided instead to go with a poison assassin buildhttps://pastebin.com/BgwUHwGr this is what i got so far and im pretty happy with how it came out, with specteral throw, it does about 1.5 million Poison DPS buffed out but planning on using either venom gyre or cobra lash. if anyone has any recommendations to change about the tree or equipment post your thoughts, and if anyone would like to use the tree id be more than happy to know how it went for you. never really put my builds up since they usually fall flat.

    Edit:2 changed some stuff in the config since some of it was redundant so the DPS should be more realistic to what you'll actually be doing when mapping, i also switched spectral thrown with viper strike since i will be using gyre/cobra lash, I will also be testing out whether or not to drop the herald to use the aspect of the spider, which is what i have on in the POB, thank you for the notes/criticism hopefully the build will come out decent atleast https://pastebin.com/yAG6dm1L also for context i have piercing shot on because im going to try gyre for the majority at first

    3.7/3.8 Trickster Flicker Strike (~13-15 mil Guardian/Shaper DPS)

    Figured I'd share a build I've been playing in 3.7 and will carry over to 3.8. It isn't particularly expensive as it only requires a 6 link on body armor, mostly uses off-the-shelf uniques, and doesn't need expensive jewels.

    (note: Multistrike and Close Combat do no calculate in PoB, so I baked them into a jewel).

    Pros:

    • Straight forward gearing
    • Fast clear speed and high mobility
    • High boss DPS
    • No mana costs

    Cons:

    • Can't run reflect
    • Not good for delving
    • Bosses kill you as fast as you kill them

    Alternate Gear/Leveling

    • The Vertex, Vaal Mask offers a ton of free evasion through Trickster ES conversion and stronger Ghost Shroud procs.
    • Terminus Est is also pretty necessary until you can one-shot packs and kill bosses in a couple of seconds.

    Hello !

    So with the huge revamp for fire and chaos ailments on the skill tree, I'm looking to do a new spreading/prolif build like contagion.

    But contagion have a fixed clear range on the gem (20 units), but I don't know about some uniques for my build. This includes :

    • Binos for poison
    • Nature's reprisal for poison as pathfinder
    • Abberath's Hooves for ignite
    • Bereks respite for ignite

    So do we have any idea of the base range ? Just to know if it's worth to scale it and build around that. Ty.

    Too much chance to poison on hit?

    New skills have 40% Noxious strike has 40%

    Across the tree in all of the poison nodes there are plenty more 10% chance to poison on hot nodes. These cannot be avoided. Any suggestions on what to do? Is going non Assassin the best option? Or just accepting that you will have 140% and there is an element of waste in the build?

    Need some help with summoner build.

    So with recent changes I've decided to do a summoner for league starter - problem is, I played summoner kinda once in like 2014, so I realized I know absolutely NOTHING about summoners..

    I want something rather basic and league starter friendly - so I think I will go with zombies + spectres.

    So my question is mostly centered around items and I would like to ask some general advice:

    1) what unique items are worth looking into, that should not be too expensive on league start?

    2) what weapon setup options do I have (also - league starter friendly). I've seen people using 2h with +2 gems, etc so I'm even more confused.

    3) any other advice you can give would be appreciated

    PS: gems and passive treed - I will figure it out on my own. I'm just confused with items since they give a ton of options to build it differently, but I have no idea what is cost effective and what should be obtainable for starter.

    3.8 Scourge Arrow Ignite Prolif Elementalist - Updated full guide

    Ignite proliferation will be great for Blight mechanic and the build got buffed pretty massively so I think it's the best moment to post it here.

    • Ignite got buffed with the new DoT Multiplier mod in the tree, possibly on some items too but we don't know yet.

    • Elementalist got buffed with +30% shock effect, an another 25% golem effect per golem, so 150% incresed effect of golems on this build. Now Elementalist is also Freeze immune ! (It was only Chill immune before)

    I think it will be the best League since Delve to play this build.

    Here is the PoB of my old character. It's quite optimized and some gear will not be available this League like the old Abyss jewels so expect around 15-20% less damage than the PoB (still higher dps than during previous leagues). Unless they add other sources of fire DoT Multiplier, on jewels for example !

    Deadeye frost bolt or icicle miner

    I've been thinking of making an icicle miner deadeye, and maybe use something else for single target. At the moment I came up with this tree: https://pastebin.com/y8gxCnAX

    The problem with going miner deadeye is mostly lack of hp. If anyone has any ideas on better pathing please help me out! atm the tree has 159% inc life, with 4 jewel sockets. I'd be playing this SSF SC.

    I used frostbolt to simulate the spell and projectile damage, just to help me decide which nodes were powerful, in the end it might be viable to go frostbolt instead.

    My thinking is deadeye might play out to be better than sabateur in light of its nerfs; with the deadeyes' proj buffs, crit chance and tailwind.

    As far as skills go, I could also stick with frostbolt anyway, as it does have some nice synergies with deadeye as well, but I'm open to any suggestions!

    Help regarding Voltaxic rift build

    What are the pros and cons of various summoner builds?

    I'd like to play summer in blight, but I'm not sure on the strengths and weaknesses of the different versions (i.e., SRS, golems, spectre, zombie, skeles).

    I'm planning on playing ssf. Does anyone have any advice for which builds will have a relatively high ceiling?

    I wanted to be skele focused, but that doesn't seem to really be a thing (spectres overall just seem better, but maybe im wrong ive never done a summoner build). Am i missing anything super vital? Ive got a lot of flexibility with the different wheels, and can easily pick up MoM if it would be necessary.

    Currently unaware of what gear i should be looking to shoot for to do cool things, but i feel like going all rares would be just fine with this setup as is.

    I plan on annointing smashing strikes for the end charges, and eventually using a timeless jewel on Second Strike. I also plan on running nightblade support on whilring blades to get the ms boost and keep attack dodge capped. Everything should be budget a few days into league.

    26k Evasion Rating Gives you max evasion.

    Help with burning arrow ignite build

    Hello,

    I would like to make a burning arrow ignite build, problem is I don't understand the changes in the manifesto :

    Perfect Agony has been changed significantly, and as a result, so have Ailments from Critical Strikes. Previously, Ailments from Critical Strikes dealt 50% more damage by default, similar to unmodified critical hit damage. The only way to modify this value was to take Perfect Agony. Now, Ailments from Critical Strikes have +50% to Damage over Time multiplier by default, which will be additive with Damage over Time multipliers from other sources.

    What does that mean ? Nodes or gear with "% increased damage over Time multiplier" will also scale the crit ignite multi ? Won't it be "double dip" ?

    Should I go crit multi with perfect agony ? Or better just scale regular damage over time ?

    How hard is starting with golems?

    I know there's a lot of required uniques, and so it wouldn't be great as a pure leaguestarter. But there's also more sources for some of the primordial items this time, right? Would I be able to start as a mixed summoner with some golem skills and then respec once I got the items? The trees can't be that different, and since carrion golem is around some of the nodes are items might work for both, until I transition.

    so, here is my question: I really wanna go poison assassin, just for the damage, survivability is on another piece of paper. but, what are the key facts to play around? poison on hit? pure phys (because conversion)? crit on daggers or claws?

    Non-cyclone melee builds for 3.8?

    I have a semi-beginner buddy who is considering playing Blight but only likes melee. He's played Molten Strike and Cyclone and enjoyed both.

    After the melee rework I am finding it hard to determine what melee builds are solid since everyone just went cyclone. The build would need to have a decent guide for him to follow.

    Advice On My League Starter? (TR+HoA Pathfinder, Potato Gear)

    Using some 3.7 community build guides, I fashioned a potato gear TR build for my starter. This is the first time I've built something without explicitly following someone else's build, so I'd like someone else more experienced to look at it to make sure I'm not forgetting anything obvious. Thanks for the help. :)

    Here's some of my thoughts that I had making this, in no particular order:

    -How can I fit malevolence (or other better auras) in this build without spending too much currency/allocating too many points to reduced mana reservation on the tree?

    -How can I reliably increase the DPS without getting expensive (since 150k shaper dps with all flasks + 15 wither stacks feels low, thought it might just be due to the crap gear)?

    -Are there any good, cheap uniques that I'm obviously missing?

    -Is the mana/mana leech setup I have enough to reliably support quick clearing, or will I stutter from the lack of mana?

    [Build Request] Dancing Duo

    So I really love the concept of the duo, and wanted to play it as leaguestarter 3.8(with skele levelling) The thing is that I suck at build making,and since bella stopped updating at 3.6, I cant find any build I dont know what is a good way to make one.

    I play HC so I'd like as much defense as I can cram in. Now with death mark I dont even need to attack. I can just mark the enemies I need ded.

    Any tips would be appreciated. Other than tree and support how would I get damage, do I go phys, chaos or elemental, stuff like that.

    I intend to use this character for mapping and delving more than anything due to the rampage speed, and maybe skelemancer for bossing so it need not hit millions of dps, though I'd like to do red maps comfy
