SO what are you guys going for at the league start ? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 11:52 PM PDT Some things seem to absurdly buffed like pp or emp RF. What are your ideas ? Do I really see it correctly it will be a Necro PP league ? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Sep 2019 12:35 AM PDT Meme worthy but it could work. Searing bond damage numbers are pretty nice and the RF rework Should be great for totems. Of course searing bond should be strong against lined up monsters in blight encounters. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Sep 2019 03:22 AM PDT Hi, Looking for play Icicle Mine Sabo in 3.8 (for the crit buff, that's why no Pyroclast). I've created the following tree, but it's level 95 without even grabbing Phase Acro (which I really want). Would appreciate any feedback, what I can drop without killing the tree. I normally push up to level 94-95. [link] [comments]
Returning Player Planned League Starter need some advice (Storm Brand Inquisitor) Posted: 03 Sep 2019 10:25 PM PDT First time ever touching brands. Decided to go EB/MoM because mana sustain is a PitA early league otherwise and I get to use wrath + zealotry. Eventual Plan is to transition to Loreweave + some crafted daggers with chaos as extra + the new global gem level mods. Mark of Submission is my poor man's assassin's mark on hit ring until I can afford a rare one + mark of the shaper. Heartbreakers are cheap placeholders if I can find better rare daggers for cheap I'll use that instead. Would love any constructive criticism people have, haven't played in 2 leagues and probably have plenty of mistakes going on. One major question I have is about storm brand and conc effect. Every single storm brand inquis on poe.ninja had conc slotted even if they also had chain slotted which is only used for clearing. Does storm brand not take a clearspeed hit from using conc effect? Posted: 04 Sep 2019 04:45 AM PDT I haven't played melee since the days of using reave with high physical conversion. I was wondering if there are low investment, high clear speed builds that have the potential to scale into end game with more investment? [link] [comments]
Any advice on league starting an RF Guardian? Posted: 04 Sep 2019 04:04 AM PDT I'm not sure about rolling a second character this league, so I may just stick with this. I know how to scale it late game by being LL with shav's, but I need some advice on how to make it more league starter friendly. Should I stack life in the beginning instead of ES? Maybe go MOM until I build enough good ES gear? [link] [comments]
I'm looking for a league starter that doubles as a great delver Posted: 04 Sep 2019 12:11 AM PDT My goal this league is delve 1000. Not gonna lie, i'm not very confident in it but i'll do my best ! Thus i'd need a league starter that can start delving as soon as possible and as deep as possible, while still being able to map at least decently to farm that sulfite, is there any ? I could reroll later but would like to play this char as long as possible since I hate leveling. I was planning to go for poison + HoAg at first but it does seem pretty bad for delving since things will die over time and will be able to get a few it on you, is it ? Oh and I don't want to be playing trap/mine/totem if possible but if there is nothing else, why not. Thanks a lot ! [link] [comments]
Blight build vs blade flurry build Posted: 04 Sep 2019 03:17 AM PDT Cant decide between my blight build and blade flurry build as my league solo character for new league. Mostly interested in critique to the passive tree, ignore items gem links. Managed to test the blight build in lite version in standard and damage melt normal Atziri and similar level mobs real quick, but problem is survivability as blight lack any sort of leech so it only relies on regen from trickster. Flurry on paper should also has decent damage but with leech and higher evasion and dodge its might tank better. Playstyle wise thesde are pretty similar being chaneling skills damageing in cone in front [link] [comments]
3.8.0 - Poison Assassin - Cobra lash or Venom gyre Posted: 04 Sep 2019 03:10 AM PDT Hi! So Im most likly, depending on numbers, gonna play Poison assassin. Used viper strike as a placeholder for Cobra/venom gyre and nightblade will take a spot aswell. But made it to start a discussion about how to go on the tree and what items to use and so on. Looking for Ideas: One Build, Start to Finish Posted: 04 Sep 2019 02:41 AM PDT I really dislike leveling new characters, and every league, I try to commit to playing one build until I either hit 36-37/40, or hate playing it enough to relevel (or more recently, just quit the league). Historically, the builds I have done best with were stat stacking, nearly all unique item builds (qotf arc mines with a curtain call a few leagues ago; howa trickster in legion), builds that played well without a 6L (dual pens before the nerf, RT HoAg). Tanky builds based around eva/dodge have always felt the most fun, though a 'Hidden Potential' slayer obliteration RF build when slayer overkill leech stacked infinitely was awesome, and is currently very dead. Builds that have worked badly are builds that required unusually good rares (Like my 3 separate tries at champion builds), or builds that were built around an expensive item that I often could not farm up enough to get, so the build stalled. So here are the attributes I want for the build I run in Blight: -Must not require that I stand in melee range to do damage -Must have run for Spell Totem > Frost Wall > Multiple Totems Support > (one more support optional). I plan to try seeing if dropping this on the blight-bulb helps with the league mechanic -Killing should not stop while I click stuff to loot -Should not need to read map mods (not always attainable, having one or two mods that it can't run is undesirable but fine) -Should be able to map on a tabula, up and running in endgame on a 5ex budget -Minimize the use of rare items (if I can make a viable build with nothing but trash off-meta uniques, I totally will) --at a minimum, off meta 6L or common unique helmet with an off-meta enchant is desirable -Minimize button pressing (hold right click / activate flasks, or just activate flasks is ideal) -No gear/gem swapping for map bosses -Must full clear random legion encounters -Must face-tank syndicate encounters, and ideally shaper/elder guardians -Can ignore lab traps with either speed or tankiness Any suggestions are appreciated! Best Ascendancy for a Phys to Ele Conversion Attack based Character? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 01:32 PM PDT Currrently torn between the Raider and Inquisitor. Raider should be very effective with a low budget after the buffs and probably more defensive but how does it compare to the Inquisitor? [link] [comments]
How to mana sustain on caster now? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 04:36 PM PDT Hi guys I haven't played POE for a few leagues now, and I saw that warlords mark and other leech effects for casters have been removed, I was wondering what mana sustain options are there now? (looking to make a caster as a starter) thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Can anyone help me choose between Ambush and Opportunistic for my poison crit assassin? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 09:59 PM PDT Ambush gives: 20% MORE damage with hits and ailments against enemies on low life 40% crit multi on enemies on full life 100% crit chance on enemies on full/low life Opportunisic gives: 20% MORE damage against solo bosses (rare/unique) 10% reduced damage taken when against two or more rare/unique Which one is more effective for a poison build? I get that on first glance, ambush looks better, but upon closer inspection I realized that the bonuses I get only procs IF and ONLY IF the enemy is on full life or on low life. This means that the first hit I land on the enemy receives the other bonuses, while the other bonuses will activate when the enemy's hp drops to 35%, meaning that when his hp is 36%-90% I won't get any bonuses. Whereas opportunistic gives me a constant 20% more damage mult whenever the boss is alone, and kinda helps my defenses as well by giving me 10% damage redux on top of 8% redux on mistwalker. Please help. What are your thoughts? [link] [comments]
About mana guardians RF in 3.8 Posted: 03 Sep 2019 09:25 PM PDT As seen in the patch notes, they reduced the Hp/ES to damage to 20% instead of the old 40%. But now, we have fire damage over time multiplier and a consistent damage over time in the skill itself. I would like to know of you, more experienced players: Would this changes make a Mana guardian with 30k ES having way less damage than a Jugg/trickster/Chieftain with 6k-8k HP with proper investment in the skill tree focused on damage over time? Is it worth to build a Mana guardian for RF at all in your opinion? [link] [comments]

VD PP Hype, but is CoC just better? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 08:27 PM PDT With Necro reveal and Poet's Pen cooldown being reduced and Desecrate's cooldown being removed I see some hype about running dual PP VD build, with obvious synergies with Necro's corpse ascendencies. But to actually hit the new cap you need a LOT of attack speed. And each PP only has 3 links + a pseudo-empower. Would it just be better to run a CoC shaper 2H? I think the links work out at least as well. [link] [comments]
how do you go from league starting to an autobomber Posted: 03 Sep 2019 07:12 PM PDT is there any transitional build (presumably something crit assassin) i can use to farm up the gear/currency? [link] [comments]
are solar guards really the best spectre? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 08:00 AM PDT frost sentinels just seems like they are better mechanically to me. especially if the new gems allow them to have a much longer range aggro. p.s. i ask because currently the only necro spectre builds on the forum only mention SG and do not even hint at the option of using anything else. seems bonkers to me. Ascendancy for Bodyswap Totems? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 04:37 AM PDT Trying to decide between Heiro, Chieftain, or new Necro with that Corpse Pact node for the juicy 50% more corpse hp [link] [comments]
[3.8] Advice on Smite summoner build Posted: 03 Sep 2019 02:12 PM PDT Hi, I really like to play this build in 3.5 league and i was wondering if it's still possible to play it? So basically this build is : Smite supported with multistrike - ancestral call-elementary dmg with attack - added lighting damage- lighting penetration Plus : Raise zombie - Multi stike - Minions damage - Mele Damage These are the main Gems I used this guide : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFJmpbP6dis But i'm not sure if i can use it on 3.8. Benchmarks for theorycrafting a league-starter build? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 08:24 AM PDT Hi guys, I've theorycrafted a build I sort of liked. It has around 300k shaper dps, 4k life with only full tree [lvl 91], full ascendancy, lvl 20 gems [damage and buffs] and crit chance is lucky (i.e. no equipment at all, no quality on gems, only simulating diamond flask). I am wondering if that is a good enough benchmark or should those numbers be a warning sign? I feel quite comfortable with the life , but worried that the damage won't scale much higher considering I'm at full passives and lvl 20 gems. Thanks [link] [comments]
What are the best Mjolnir builds right now? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 11:45 AM PDT I'm leaning towards Jugg or Slayer as a starter and I think that I'd like to build into a Mjolnir build (Discharge or arc) what are some recommendations? Are they decent at T14+ mapping? [link] [comments]
Looking for help with an ES-based Dual-Weilding Mjolnir Inquisitor build. Posted: 03 Sep 2019 11:03 AM PDT Here's the build link: Included in the build is a Level 70 tree, for getting up to the Mjolnirs, and a Level 100 tree to experiment with where I would take the build. As you can see, the build doesn't have much energy shield, only boasting ~2800 ES at level 70. I also take Chaos Inoculation to prevent Chaos damage from being a threat, which obviously sets my life pool to 1. My question now is, are there any methods of increasing Energy Shield further? I have enough damage to make the build work, but not enough defenses to really survive, at least from what I currently understand of the game. Any help is appreciated. :) [link] [comments] |
