I'm no pro at this game so this one just hurt a lot

    Steps:

    1. Finally afford awakened melee physical damage support gem after a couple of days of farming
    2. Get a real sale after 2 scammers try selling me awakened melee splash gem
    3. Purchase Awakened melee physical damage support gem
    4. Look at currency and see that i dont have quite enough GCP to get it to twenty
    5. Go to gem tab and sell enough gems to get 5 more GCP
    6. Finally have enough GCP only to find out I vendored my Awakened Melee Physical Damage support gem
    7. Laugh like an idiot at how stupid I am

[LOOTFILTER] NeverSink's itemfilter 7.8.5 - tiering adjustments, new tiers for uniques, incubators and prophecies. General polishing.

    [LOOTFILTER] NeverSink's Itemfilter 7.8.5

This update focuses on further finetuning the tiering. Creating good tiering is quite a challenge, since the economy data has a lot of noise and exceptions and this update, I've invested extra time to find some solutions to this challenge. On top of that this update introduces level-based tiers for uniques (agnerod staves) and incubators (celestial and fragmented incubators) and polishes up things here and there.

https://filterblade.xyz/ - is of course also updated!

    Filter and Styleversions

Higher strictnesses filter more items. The general rule is that: the faster you are, the less you want to pick up, because in the time you'd take care of a higher quantity of items, you can kill more monsters and get a higher chance at expensive loot and experience. You can start with Regular/Semi-Strict first (great for new players and leagues) and simply up the strictness from the option menu, once you feel like you want to see less.

    Nr Name Short Description
0 Soft Shows too much. Includes low crafting bases, magic jewellery in the endgame. Not recommended for regular gameplay.
1 Regular Shows a lot. Recommended for beginners, new leagues and slow-clearing gameplay. Shows all rares. Good for chaos recipes.
2 Semi-Strict Healthy balance. Great for new leagues and beginners and medium-speed endgame gameplay. Hides the worst rares. Good for chaos recipes.
3 Strict Hides bad-base rares and scrolls. Recommended endgame strictness. Hides random gems (hold alt in the first zone if you level with it). Bad for chaos recipes.
4 Very Strict Hides most rares, scrolls, augments, armourers. Good for the endgame and for farming once your character is well equipped.
5 Uber Strict Hides all low currencies and rares. Great for speed-farming, once you have a highly optimized build and atlas!
6 Uber+ Strict Shows too little. Sterile screen. Hides all kind of stuff, including mediocre divination cards, all kind of crafting material etc. Recommended for high-speed clearing, once your character is top tier geared, your atlas complete and optimized and you're breezing through maps very fast!

Styles have no effect on how strict the filter is, but change the visual and audio configuration. Find one that pleases your eye most or make your own on https://www.filterblade.xyz . FilterBlade also comes with a preview comparison/feature for styles and strictnesses.

Can I enjoy this game as a casual gamer for $30-$60 all in?

    Posted: 17 Apr 2020 10:28 AM PDT

I really like the videos I've been seeing on this game. Diablo 2 is probably my favorite game of all time and I've been looking for something to scratch that itch lately. The issue is, I've seen surveys where people say they've spent thousands of dollars on in-game items.

What's the minimum amount of money you can spend and actually enjoy the game? I realize there are stash tabs and cosmetic items. I'm not concerned with the cosmetic items, at least at this point. I also realize that you can play the game completely for free, but I'm sure there are major restrictions which make it not a lot of fun.

I don't want to invest a bunch of time in a game now that's only going to end in me being pissed later that I can no longer afford to continue playing. I'm happy to give the developers some money - they absolutely deserve it, but overall I don't really like to spend more than $60 on a game, when I know there are AAA titles out there that I can get for my $60.

I guess what I'm asking - what would you consider to be the bare essentials of the game, that are only available for my real dollars? Sorry if this has been asked before - I suck with reddit search.

Delirium isn't working properly with Whites/Uniques only Private League

    Posted: 16 Apr 2020 11:55 PM PDT

Some friends of mine decided to challenge themselves with a private league, and they went with the whites/uniques only drop modifier to have fun.

Unfortunately, as they're levelling, they've noticed that the Delerium mobs are dropping yellows as part of their reward table, kinda ruining the challenge. Obviously they're a small enough group that they can house-rule this, and while they haven't reached maps quite yet I assume Blight/Legion/Metamorph will all work the same way because they have the 'loot symbol' style of drops as opposed to flatter drop tables like Abyss/Breach/Strongboxes and other older mechanics.

I don't think this is a huge issue, but I wanted to bring some clarity to it to anyone who has looked at it currently, private leagues will probably see a bit of a spike with the current lockdown situation and people wanting to spice things up. If you weren't playing in a small group of 5-8 like they are, someone could easily say they were just 'crafting' the items they were dropping off those mechanics, completely beating the point of selecting the modifier.

Also... I mean. They paid for an experience and it was ruined in the first few minutes. That sucks.

How to actually improve the temple.

    Posted: 17 Apr 2020 04:30 AM PDT

I had a very exciting start to a new temple. A Royal Meeting Room and a Speed room (all adjacent rooms +1), right at the start. The first batch of 3 incursions actually upped the speed room to a Sanctum of Unity as well.

Needless to say, I never got an incursion anymore for either of the two rooms, resulting in this disappointing crap: https://i.imgur.com/6ahQOb0.jpg

I never understood why we can't just keep running incursions until we get our desired temple. Hell, I can understand an argument that everyone will just push for a maxed out all level 3 room temple and that the loot will then be too good / targetable. But so what? You get to run that kind of temple once every 50 Alva missions? Instead of a temple every 4 Alva missions. It's a point of investment vs. return.

But if you really want to limit the room to a max of 12 upgrades, let me at least just skip an incursion. Give me an option to tell Alva that I'm not interested in that room and the next offering will be a new room. It's still a investment vs. reward trade-off. I might end up spending 10 - 15 Alva missions before I'm truly happy with the single temple I'll run, but at least I'll actually be happy to run the damn thing. Even in this league, I've not run a single temple without it feeling a huge disappointment, and that's with it supposedly being better. No, the temple can be really good. If you allow the players to actually make decisions that matter to truly shape a temple experience that they want. Give us something to truly look forward to. Not that crap like the image included....
