    Okay, hear me out.

    The stun mechanic is meant to correlate with big hits. It's a basic premise. You hit something hard, it reels back. All builds that focus on stun understand this. It should be incompatible with small bits of damage, and definitely incompatible with ailments and damage over time. Particularly, when stun chance calculations are made (which I won't bore you with but involve the enemy max life and your flat damage), any resulting chance lower than 20% is directly discarded.

    However...

    Enter Warlord's Mark. It has this line:

    Cursed enemies have an additional 10% chance to be Stunned

    This is interesting, since it's additive to the normal stun calculation, but still subject to that 20% cutoff. This means that with enough curse effectiveness (100% in principle) it's possible to clear the 20% cutoff and make any hit (no matter how small) capable of stunning.

    There is an issue though. Bosses have 33% reduced curse effect on them, and the big ten (shaper, elder and their boys) have 66%. Ouch.

    This kills the idea for bosses. Or does it? I believe that with cluster jewels, an extremely lucky Glorious Vanity and the right helmet enchant, it's possible to reach 500% curse effectiveness on Warlord's Mark, ensuring that you can clear the magic 20% against shaper. With enough hits per second (easy with quill rain, poet's pen with a spamy spell, etc) this should put any boss out of commission instantly, given that stun duration is very long thanks to temp chains.

    So what would I do with that? Well, since I'm stacking that insane amount of curse effectiveness, I may as well build around it. The best combination of curses I could find is:

    • Assassin's Mark
    • Frostbite/Despair (depending on what the source of damage ends up being)
    • Temp Chains
    • Warlord's Mark
    • Poacher's Mark
    • Enfeeble

    The only way to squeeze any amount of damage out of this nonsense while retaining the initial idea is probably a cast on crit/trigger setup. My two options are Poet's Pen and Quill Rain, as they can deal enough hits to keep the stunlock going. I'm unsure whether to go poison or cold as a main damage mechanic as both have their merits. Poison can last very long with the supercharged temp chains, while cold is more amenable to clear with a high freeze high crit HoI.

    So before I'm too far gone, any thoughts?

    Is cyclone the best melee clear skill?

    I am a noob, and love the idea of Max Block Glad...Walk around with 4-4.5k health and just tank whatever comes at you. I never made my own build before and I dont know if looking at anything other than cyclone is just taking one step forward and then two steps backwards.

    I am also smart enough to realize that if someone found something better than impale cyclone, that would be meta. But I've never really made my own build from start to finish, and doing what Mathil does and just finds a cool skill and goes with it seems really interesting and I bet every time he does it, he learns more about the game and how to make things work. I also see it sometimes takes a toll on him if it doesnt work...

    Cyclone is a great skill because you can damage while moving. However, I see two problems that this meta of "zoom zoom dont die" brings light to:

    1) The AoE is rather small. You WILL have to circle around while spinning around to clear every mob. This can be partially remedied by an explodey chest, but that is rather an expensive fix. You can also try to fit AoE into your build, which would take away an affix or skill point that could maybe be more useful if spent elsewhere.

    2) The movement speed of cyclone hinders you. This can be fixed by Stampede, but if you plan on using a gladiator you'll already probably be using quite a few uniques already.....rigwalds, unique wep/shield, ryslatha, 2x circle of guilt iron rings, etc. Add a stampede, and youre looking at gear that has all 3 resistances to get capped.

    This got me thinking. What if there was a melee build better than that? Sure you wont have 100% uptime of damage, but what if there was a melee skill that rivaled Storm Brand or Ball Lightning or Ice Nova, whatever huge AoE skill you think of, and has the ability to be a great bosser and a great clearer? What if you fit reave or vaal double strike or SOMETHING with ancestral call + melee splash + pulverize? Are you giving up too much damage for QoL AoE? Where with cyclone your clear is your bossing skill.

    Loking for a fun headhunter build to do

    I got around to getting a head hunter and now I want a build that is really fun to do with it (not that my current build isn't already stupid). I have seen a BV build with it and that looks fun, if you have a guide for that link it please. Im down to hear suggestions.

    Current budget is 60ex but I can farm more if needed

    Don't really wanna do a bow build but more of a walk and stuff dies

    How to improve my Spark herald stacker?

    God of Exiles, Need help on SpinningCOC (ICRS%)

    So, to start with, i started playing on metamorph league and as all we know, there is so much to learn on this game so I am asking guidance from the veterans here in this game.
    The build I like most is COC builds and to be specific, playing with Ice nova. I've been able to clear contents with this build on metamorph and also with the current delirium league, some say that there's no way a new player would be able to clear contents, but honestly, just following threads here and there and also builds via youtube and playing the game pretty much..

    So anyways, the question i wanna ask is about the proc rate of the spells via ICRS%.. I used path of build and again, i followed this thread here at reddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/e5pyr8/the_cyclone_cast_on_critical_strike_cooldown/ ) too explaining the mechanics of COC builds when it comes to APS and ICR%.. What i know at the moment is that there is a formula:

    Please explain this, all I could do is push my character to 14%+ ICRS% and match 7.5APS/15.14APS getting calculations from path of building.. Now, I know that I could push my character to have 52% ICRS% through awakening COC and ICRS mod on boots and belt which i could afford but i never bought it because i'm just stuck on how i'll be able to push the build to have 10APS/20.2APS..

    So am I misunderstanding the mechanics (for example, 52%ICRS would totally work with 7.5APS??)

    Hello everyone.

    I want to play cyclone build rest of league and maybe other league too, but problem is there is a lot build of that skill. Champion, slayer, marauder, scion even ranger.

    I want to kill bosses fast and want to be tanky, decent map clear would be fine too.

    I have level 90 duelist, so it's better if i can choose from champion, slayer or gladiator. I have about 90-95 ex around to spend for build. Ty for suggestions.

    Planning my build for the Hardcore league, and I am deciding between 500hp vs 30% spell dodge and arctic Armour.

    I will have immortal flesh, blind, endurance charges, chaos golem. Pretty damn tanky elementalist.

    Damage dealers are HOAG and stone golems

    The question is, with stats like these, is 30% spell dodge and arctic armour worth trading 600 hp?

    Best "starter" watcher eye for herald?

    As the title says, which mod should I look for when searching for my first Watcher Eyes? Without double same mods as I'm still starting. Attack speed/precision, crit chance? Any tips? (I'm using spark, don't know if it changes a lot the choice)

    Ideas for Burning Arrow ascendancy.

    Hey friends, so I'm looking to do a Burning Arrow build and I don't know if I want to go with the normal Chieftain version. I've been looking at ranger and ascendant mostly, maybe a bit of shadow, and I think Deadeye might actually be pretty good for it. Tailwind with increased effect is always strong of course, then it's got far shot and extra pierce/projectiles. Ignite from burning arrow does 50% of the damage of my hit, right? So increased projectile damage should still scale it I believe.

    Also considered Pathfinder, good utility and a bit of defense but still does provide some offensive bonus, always a good touch. I'll have max ignite chance regardless of my crit, but I think I'm going to want to scale crit as well which would make assassin also a decent option I suppose.

    Ascendant is my last choice, they get the extra skill and starting points to make things quite nice. If I were to go Ascendant I think I'd almost certainly want to go Elementalist/Deadeye as those seem the most beneficial. I'm pretty sure elemental penetration shouldn't matter much for ignite as far as I know? Anyway. What do ya'll think? I realize Chieftain is the popular choice due in large part to their free fire dot multi but with cluster jewels I don't think it's that big of a deal anymore. I'm not against going Chieftain if it's overwhelmingly better though!

    Cyclone-Cremation Starting to Slow on Kills

    Starting to slow down on kills running T11 maps. Also seeing something spike hit me for 2k+ damage while running the delerium stuff, but I'm not sure what it is yet. Wanted to push and kill Sirius this league, sitting on ~40 chaos. I'm not quite at the ability to keep red maps going, but yellow maps aren't too much of a problem right now. Anything quick I can do to push through? Sitting on 12 watchstones right now, but knowing I'll need to get some damage increase and/or health/tankiness increase soon if I'm going to make it through another conquerer fight.

    Hollow Palm Juggernaut Tectonic Slam full fire conversion

    As the title mentions I made this Juggy boy to be a full fire conversion hollow palm user. I am trying to find best cluster jewels for the build than I have right now. I am still in the middle of crafting my gear but I will take the recommendations on it as well. Where it lacks DPS is on t14-16 bosses. I am not looking to kill Sirus with this but more of a fun mapper and fast clear. Yes I know there are other builds that make this way better and faster but what is PoE if not trying to make something work lol.

    Spellslinger Necromancer Super End-Game Advice?

    Hello guys,

    I've been playing PoE on and off. This is the first league I could actually manipulate my build a bit. I started of with Zizaran's Necromancer VD Spellslinger. I've customised it a bit to up the damage output.

    I would like your opinions on what to invest on next. I can do most tier16 no prob at all, unless there is a very rippy damage mod. I can do Simulacrum wave 16-17 pretty ok (tried it only once) and if I get Kotis or Omniphobia solo I can slowly bring them down. This is my first league playing Sirus too and my damage feels pretty ok to be honest, I just havent learned the mechanics very well, but I think he is doable.

    I just don't know what I could alter to give a nice noticeable "oomph" to my defenses, sustain or damage output.

    What builds can do 100% t16 maps comfortably and fast? I have different break points because I have a few other builds I'm bored of atm so can get a budget to up to ~500 ex but would prefer only to sink the 40 I have on me to start with.

    Things I've played thus far:

    • archmage brand B+ ->>PH herald stacker- A+ (but very bored of it now)
    • warcry stacking glad ->>champ B+
    • One with nothing (hollow palm) C
    • Bleed bow glad B-
    • archmage (lightning skill) B-

    I dont really like the summoner playstyle, traps and mines are fun for a while then become tedious.

    Preferrably I want something I can sink at most 20 ex into to see effective clear for t16 content and simulacrum with avenues for investment if I feel like its a project worth it.

    Main things I want to focus on is the ability to make t16 100% delerium content a safe and fast. All my builds so far have been pretty good at this for the most part at most resulting in a death or two per the really badly rolled maps. I would prefer a build without too many button presses so as to minimize RSI.

    All advice is greatly appreciated as this is only my 3rd league where I've cracked the budget above 200 ex so I don't have much experience on the high end of whats possible.

    Hi, SSF here -

    The DPS on my toon seems really low. Using Arcane Cloak with MoM. Any ideas for SSF available upgrades? I know I can get life res stats on the helm and then maybe reroll the shield for dps stats and +1 totem, but I'm surprised the DPS seems so low. Rolling a profane wand for +1 cold? more dps on neck?

    Spectres for Legion farming?

    Hey there r/PoEB, looking for a spectre that probably can get pretty good use out of supports like Aw. Chain, Vicious Proj, GMP, so that it has solid clear to do some delirious Legion farming.
