LF pure melee build without using cyclone Posted: 05 Jun 2020 01:26 AM PDT Hi, I played a cyclone build this league and liked it. I would like to know if another viable melee archetype exists so i could play that during Harvest league. If you have some ideas just feel free to tell me I'm curious. Ty ;) [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jun 2020 03:46 AM PDT hey, got away from the game for 1 year now, did already one HC Uberlab char. It was a max block glad. Izaro was quite tough and very tight. Didn't get all needed eq before though. For variety I would try something else, but I don't know if there is any safer option than max block glad. Is there any? Thx :) [link] [comments]
3.11 Theorycrafting - Builds that benefit from crafting Posted: 04 Jun 2020 11:56 PM PDT So I've been thinking about 3.11 and watching the usual "What should my starter be?" With the right response being "Wait for the patch notes" but I came across a thought that I wonder if it's worth exploring. So entertain this with me, I was listening to the Chris Wilson interview with Ziggy talking about the effects of the delirium mechanic. So one thing the statistics showed that because the mechanic is in every act map means the average player would have a ton of uniques by the end of act 10 if they engaged with that mechanic. And it's true, if you see upon entering that you had a unique reward, that's already a way higher chance than any other time in Poe. No one at the time thought of this but if you had a league starter that's unique item heavy, then that might be a better choice with a market filled with unique items. So, my idea is to think about builds and starters that benefit the most from crafting? My idea is that as a starter you might be able to get ahead faster than a cookie cutter "farm a tabula, get chaos and buy this mostly unique set for a handful of chaos" builds. Let me know if anyone has anything to add if you think this is worth exploring. Tell me, what are some builds that can benefit with moderate crafting? I'm also guessing SSF builds would be easier to get going than usual too, so what SSF builds have clear gear goals to hit on each piece of equipment? What vendor recipes could we use and enhance with a "more accessible crafting" league. I feel like there's something here and this might be the first league where you can plan a bit before the patch notes if you don't mind using a skill that isn't being tweaked or added. TL;DR - I think crafting this league will be more accessible so what builds start and scale the most from it? [link] [comments]
chaos skill builds for a semi-newish player Posted: 04 Jun 2020 06:55 PM PDT TL;DR looking for any build/skills/classes that can do endgame bosses and ignore phy/ele reflect mods hey everyone, Ive lurked here for a while reading all of your awesome ideas and builds. Delirium is the first league in which i killed sirus (woohoo!) . Ive never beaten shaper/elder, and have done only 2 of the guardians. There is a lot of content I want to complete (like the aforementioned bosses), and I think harvest is my league to do it. In the past, ive played mainly melee builds, but in delirium i followed Britknee's tricksters caustic arrow build. Ive gotten the farthest ever in terms of bossing and mapping (finally able to farm t16 maps). I stopped after about 1.5 months in because of life issues, but im ready to push it further in harvest. My question is, what skills/builds/classes are able to do all map mods and clear endgame bosses (clear speed is not as important to me)? I was leaning towards chaos skills, but im sure people with more experience can help guide me. Any and all advice is welcome! [link] [comments]
SSF Zerker Tectonic Slam League Starter Ender Posted: 04 Jun 2020 04:05 PM PDT I dont think i took too many liberties with the config, weapon may be a bit strong imo. Idea behind this, both tectonic slam and war crys are supposedly getting buffs + support gem so we want to take advantage of that. I like going crit and your options are Swords or staves, i have always liked the idea of staves and they give us some end charge and power charge generation which is important. Tect slam will now use 1/3 the charges, meaning we can now use someone other than Cheiftan and Jugg. War cry buffs mean more damage and once you take the instant warcry node a you can just hold lmb while attacking to gain end charges, damage and have instant 25% life and mana every 2 seconds. Other than that just build crit, some of the war cry nodes are being changed but that shouldnt affect this build too much. You could go oni goroshi, but i ran the numbers and the default rare template staff matches its dps without the downsides. So with only the template staff equipped looking at about 1.1m dps, 800k to standard bosses potentially increasing or decreased based off patch release numbers and the new slam support. Posted: 04 Jun 2020 07:08 AM PDT Now that glancing blows is being made a notable on the passive tree, is it worth picking up on melee builds? With much less investment you can easily reach max attack/spell block on glad but is it worth having 50% less effectiveness? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2020 06:50 PM PDT how are people getting average hits up to 1mil with storm brand i have similar tree and items i know wep can be better. any help is appreciated https://pastebin.com/pDynUCuJ [link] [comments]
5.5k life 1 million+ DPS max block blade vortex gladiator. Posted: 04 Jun 2020 05:58 AM PDT second time posting because i wanted to get some more feedback on improvements. i know it sounds weird blade vortex and gladiator? well it seems to work pretty well on paper (POB). recently i got really into max block gladiator builds and got a dusksawn maelstrom staff. having this high block chance made me think it would go well with a glad so i tried doing that. Problem is more than half of glads ascendancy is useless for spells. i saw violent retaliation node scales physical damage so i decided on a phys damage spell. i decided on blade vortex but maybe you can try ethereal knives on it. i went for a phys->lightning->cold->fire conversion. somehow i manage to get to some pretty decent numbers and it seems pretty tanky and not too expensive on paper. the most expensive parts of the build would probably be the 2 call of the brotherhoods most others are relatively cheap uniques. BV links which are mandatory are: phys to lightning-cold to fire-empower BV links optional last 2 slots: unleash(best QOL) - elemental focus (raw dps) - efficacy (QOL a bit more duration for BV) - increased crit damage (raw dps and if not using elemental focus allows BV to chill enemies for survivability) i personally chose unleash and crit damage (i also allocated thunderous salvos for critchance+ extra unleash seal but you can choose another maybe). i get unholy might from enigmatic defense and have lots of extra chaos damage thanks to duskdawn so i put a wither+assassins mark+elemental weakness spell totem setup for tough mobs (i get additional curse from tree). maybe i could get more damage and life for cheaper as chieftain but this way has way more survivability i think. POB: https://pastebin.com/WgQmJPUn NOTE: you get max block cap after blocking 9 hits thanks to glad ascendancy. thoughts on the build? do you think it would be viable ingame? what would be a good idea to allocate on necklace in your opinion? I have a question about a build guide I'm following. Posted: 04 Jun 2020 04:45 PM PDT I'm a new player on PS4, and I've been following the build guide below. I have a couple of questions about it if anybody can help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsiT8vsxeU0
Any help is greatly appreciated. This game is super fun, but jumping into it is overwhelming since it doesn't explain everything, ha. [link] [comments]
Scion Lacerate Build - Need Help and Thoughts Posted: 04 Jun 2020 09:54 AM PDT Hello, First of all, some backstory. I have played PoE in the past but haven't really finished the main story until this League. Because of unforeseen circumstances, I had a lot of time on my hands and decided to play PoE and got extremely hooked. My first character to reach endgame was a Frost blades Berserker which I followed a guide on. But I decided to try to make my own character, I picked Scion and Lacerate both for aesthetic reasons and really want it to work. Here is my current skill tree. Currently Lv 87. And let me say that I absolutely don't know what I'm doing. I just looked at Glad Lacerate builds and tried to see which Nodes I can get while playing Scion. At first, I was going for Bleed Crit build but after more research found out it is very sub optimal rather than Impale Crit. So currently, it is an Impale Crit Lacerate build but I don't know if it's good or not. I can clear Red Maps easily but I also die easily if I get stunned or anything that prevents me from life leeching. What are you're thoughts on how I could improve or even a different direction I could take it on? I really like the overall Aesthetics currently, but I do miss the explosions from my Frost blades Berserker. Right now it's just like a meat grinder when killing monsters. [link] [comments]
Elemental dagger suggestion for a reaver raider Posted: 04 Jun 2020 02:39 PM PDT So I just started to do a little cheap build using reaver as main skill. Since I don't want to spend too much time on crafting, I looked at unique weapons, and I noticed three of them that look quite fun to build around.
So the first one could end up giving lots of dps if I have lots of frenzy charges, the second one has HoI synergy and could be easy to build with since most dagger nodes are around ranger, and the last one could end up a lot stronger but might be a bit harder to build around. Also the cold one loses DPS if I dual wield it and if I use a shield, so I wouldn't have dual wield bonuses, and no defenses from shield. I don't plan of wielding two different one, more like both the same because I'm not a master crafter, I'm gonna struggle if I have to build around physical + 2 elemental types of damage. What do you think ? Which one would be good to dual wield or use alone ? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2020 05:38 AM PDT My buddy would like to play PoE for the first time and was wondering if he can play a viable ranged minion build. Thoughts, or ideas? [link] [comments]
VD Scion, need advice on ascendancy Posted: 04 Jun 2020 10:27 AM PDT Building a Cyclone CwC VD Scion for funs this two weeks before Farmland League, yet undecided on ascendancy choice. She's life and shield block, so my best bet goes for Guardian+Gladiator. Id like to hear opinions 🤔 [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2020 09:56 AM PDT Hi, I have just downloaded the game on ps4. I played Diablo 3 and I really enjoy play as a necromancer, what build do you suggest? How does the game run on ps4? Thanks [link] [comments]
Last build of the league - maybe CoC nova? Posted: 04 Jun 2020 01:23 PM PDT Hey guys I have about 30ex (a bit more if I manage to sell things) and I'm looking to try another build in the last 2 weeks. I've played warcry glacial hammer, poison BV, stormbrand, and TR. I was thinking of trying CoC ice nova but I'm not sure if it's within my budget. Any suggestions? I mostly want to zoom and clear fast :) [link] [comments]
Making a build in preparation for Harvest, thoughts? Posted: 04 Jun 2020 07:10 AM PDT Here's the build: https://pastebin.com/0nsyZ7it I know the tree's gonna change during Harvest, but I've been making this build for over a week now, fine-tuning it as best as I can. It's an Inquisitor Dual Wielding Mjolnirs with Cast on Crit Cyclone/Shock Nova, Arc, and Ball Lightning. The entire point of the build was to spam as much lightning as possible. Note that I'm a casual player and can't afford super-heavy invesments into the current crafting systems, so hopefully the Harvest League will help with that a bit. Feedback is appreciated, and if I messed anything up, let me know. [link] [comments]
Feedback on first build in awhile Posted: 04 Jun 2020 09:08 AM PDT PoB: https://pastebin.com/V2fExxi1 So this is my first build for a few leagues I haven't been able to play much since legion. The idea is to take advantage of glancing blows coming to the skill tree and use it as both a defensive layer as well as a source of damage with the light of lunaris shield/cluster notables to stack crit multiplier on a phys spell conversion Inquisitor. The gear is pretty decent but as far as I can tell it should work fine on a budget as the defensive layers/playstyle are there and all it really gains from expensive gear is a whole lotta damage. I've chosen to go with blade fall/blast though I imagine just about any phys spell could probably work well with this setup and some tweaks. Would love some feedback as I haven't really played with cluster jewels much and I'm not sure if my links are optimal. Arcane surge is on Dash as a link just to get the buff in the calc since my cluster jewel node doesn't give it to me in PoB but its not a link I would actually use in game. Glancing Blows' effect is simulated on a rare jewel and I've pathed on the tree to where it was shown in the teasers. [link] [comments] |
