Presenting: A brainless, condensed leveling guide for getting through the acts without thinking Posted: 14 Jun 2020 02:33 AM PDT TL;DR: Optimised zone-to-zone, no layouts, no optional gods, no side quests, small brain Link here This guide aims to minimise the amount of thinking and information required to get through the acts quickly, but with a tradeoff that it does not min-max individual areas to be the fastest. Zones with a well-defined path have instructions to follow, and you can just follow the guide word for word to mindlessly level. Each line break represents a break point for pee breaks. Trial areas are marked so you can skip those if desired. Optional gods are left for after leveling, and this guide avoids doing every side quest that does not give a skill point or something important. I made it out of necessity as similar guides have incomplete or wrong information, wasting time on side quests or having a bad format. This guide is based on the condensed Engineering Eternity guide and Path of Leveling, and tested in Delirium. Collection of useful tips for preparing for League start Posted: 14 Jun 2020 04:04 AM PDT I wrote a list of things that you can do before the league begins so you can spend time playing the game when it launches instead of having to think about this stuff. Feel free to suggest other stuff to add to the list. Any time before the league starts Create a leveling checklist of things you need to do while going through the campaign. This will keep you focused on your next goal so you don't waste time deciding what to do next or trying to remember which quests to do. There are existing lists for this such as in Enki's Arc Witch guide or the new PoE Levelling Companion. If you want to make your own, I recommend having at least the following: Optional quests you are going to do and which quest rewards you are going to take. Things you need to buy from a vendor (especially gems) after completing a quest. Zones you need to visit for Lab Trials and when you are going to do each Lab. Create a list of your skill gems and their links. While you should have your skills in your PoB, I find it useful to also have a separate list of just your gem links and their colors so that you can quickly reference them without having to click around in PoB. If you aren't maxing out a gem level, make note of what level you are leaving the gem at so you can stop leveling it. This will save you some time and Orbs of Scouring/Regret if you have CWDT setups, Arcane Surge, or other reasons not to max your gem levels. Once Path of Building is updated with the new tree (and hopefully gems) Create or Import a Path of Building for your build. You should have an idea of the order that you are going to take important nodes on the passive tree. Remember that you can create multiple trees with level breakpoints in one PoB build if you want to reference the leveling order that way. At least a day before the league starts, before the website and servers go down Setup live searches if you're in a trade league for any items that will be useful for you to buy while leveling. You can set them up now and simply change the league name in the URL to Harvest once it launches (you actually might not even need to do this; I think the temp league names auto-update to the current league, but I'm not sure). For example: Regular search in Delirium for a Winter Burial jewel: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Delirium/aBZpSe Regular search in Harvest for a Winter Burial jewel: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Harvest/aBZpSe Live search in Delirium for a Winter Burial jewel: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Delirium/aBZpSe/live Live search in Harvest for a Winter Burial jewel: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Harvest/aBZpSe/live Setup your stash tab layout in Standard/Hardcore. Your tab names, colors, and positions will be transferred to each new League. Think of a character name and reserve it (thanks /u/PenduluTW) Once your item filter tool (e.g. Neversink/Filterblade) and third party programs are updated Setup your item filter. Recently, Neversink and Filterblade have been updated a few hours before league launch. Make sure to give Neversink your energy. Update any third party programs you use, such as Path of Building, trade macros, etc. Always Take care of yourself! Eat and drink healthy, exercise/stretch if you can, and get enough sleep.
