Your best ideas for Wings of Entropy?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 06:30 PM PDT

With Bex having revealed today that Wings of Entropy are mainly getting a numbers buff, I've been trying to come up with a decent build for them but I honestly can't come up with anything that seems decent.

The main benefits of Wings of Entropy are that you can potentially cap block while taking Dual Wield and Two-Hand nodes but there's also the Fire and Chaos damage aspect of them, which together with the slightly reduced Physical component has been leading me towards Fire Melee skills. Most of you may know this list but in doing some PoBs so far I've looked at the following melee skills as options:

    • Tectonic Slam

    • Molten Strike

    • Consecrated Path

    • Fire Wild Strike or Ele Hit

    • Infernal Blow

There are lots of other melee choices but I can't figure why you'd ever go Wings of Entropy without some kind of fire scaling? There's quite a few options for Fire as Extra Chaos. Then on top of that there's also the question of Ascendancies... so far I've looked at everything from Pathfinder to Gladiator to Jugg, Chieftain, Zerker or even Scion. Seems like most of these could work, but after staring at it for quite a while I can't really decide what's best.

    What do you guys think?

Seeing sub-5k hp jugg builds - am I missing something?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 11:19 PM PDT

Was looking into consecrated path builds and the three jug options on Poe ninja are under 5k hp. They have good phys mitigation but a lot of it is armor and they have minimal block or dodge. This sounds like a recipe for disaster.

    Minion builds

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 01:02 AM PDT

    Hello my fellow exiles!

I've been playing poe for quite some time now but I've never touched the summoner archetype except for a mana guardian hoag and a jugg holy relic hoag.

I'm actually considering practising one for harvest as a potential league starter. Would anyone like to share their experiences on league starting with minions and which ones aren't the most difficult to transition into maps? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Looking for Ball Lightning miner leveling guide

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:13 PM PDT

    Hi,

I've never played miner so I decided to start new league with BL Saboteur. Is there a POB guide or something (like Ventrua did for melee - https://pastebin.com/GGu5Rh1c) with leveling trees, all good support gems, alternative setups for different socket colors and so on?

    EQ Jugg and new warcry

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 02:34 AM PDT

As a kind of question/discussion, with the new war-cries coming into play, I am going to give an earthquake juggernaut a serious run but the majority of builds include the ancestral war chief, which would be a better route to go,

Stick to the tried and tested ancestral war chief set up? OR swap out for one of the war-cries with supports?

And in the same vein which kind of gem would you swap for the new red dude slam support on an earthquake 6L?

Obviously I know that the patch notes are not out yet so I know it's not going to be an exact number crunch but going on gut feelings from experienced players, I'm unsure which route to take for the potential to be gained.

PoB link for the guide I am going by:

Looking for suggestions for fast league starter

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 12:21 AM PDT

I'm looking for suggestions on which path is the easiest to start a league with, 3.10 was the first time I played PoE to the endgame, so I'm quite new at this. I managed to do this in a few weeks :

    1. Storm Brand Inquisitor Level 80, caps out around level 5 maps.
    2. Righteous Fire Trickster - got as far as not dying when I turn it on but plays terribly against bosses even before reaching maps. Damage output is pretty decent.
    3. Blade Vortex Elementalist - Level 88, does eternal lab runs smoothly, does most yellow maps up to tier 8 smoothly, have not yet succeeded against Atziri-tier enemies.

I'd like to learn what I could do better, as well as what paths seem good to you fine folk for starting out in Harvest league. Please share general tips on how I beat tougher bosses too :)

    HCSSF builds

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 03:44 AM PDT

I got a couple build ideas, but I'm wondering what everyone is thinking about prepatch notes. I'm not sure I will be league starting anything twohanded only because it's a bit risky.

    Earthshatter Jugg builds for 3.11

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 06:37 PM PDT

With the introduction of Earthshatter being just a basic slam skill, can that be put into a standard EQ Jugg build and work remotely well?

I very much want to do a 2h slam build for Harvest and as time winds down I'm hoping to lock in a specific guide before Friday.

That being said, is it still too early for questions like these until patch notes are released?

    Cheers

What mine skill would you use with an aurabot?

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 03:21 AM PDT

I always play a miner with some sick bossing potential like pyroclast or ball lightning but my friend who I play a lot with is gonna go full aurabot this league and I was wondering if any skill with the auras would outperform pyroclast/ball lightning since they don't have any physical damage, could wave of conviction, purifying flame, glacial cascade or maybe any of the wand skills be worth it?

What skill for a SSF bleed gladiator ?

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 02:27 AM PDT

    Hi everyone,

I want to league start in Harvest SSF with bleed gladiator, mainly to get those nice bleedsplosions soon in the leveling process ! My idea of the build is scaling mostly bleed dot damage and general physical damage, to have mainly DoT dps, and be sure to proc the bleed explosions, that will be further enhanced by general % increased physical damage (mainly from large cluster jewels).

However, after looking at builds on poe ninja and various guides on forum/youtube, I'm quite confused about which skill to use. Moreover, a vast majority of build are not pure bleed but rather mixed between hits and bleed or even focusing on hit damage with impale.

What would be the best setup for SSF starter for a bleed-focused gladiator ?

    1. Lacerate Axe/Shield
    2. Lacerate Dual Wielding
    3. Split Arrow/Puncture Bow
    4. Earthquake Axe/Shield
    5. Earthquake 2H Axe

I also have hesitations between going max block or not (with/without Glancing Blow which is now on the tree), Crimson Dance or not, Iron Reflexes or not, but on all these points I think I will be able to make my mind once I have an answer on what skill and weapon setup I will use.

Spell Suggestion for Doryani's Prototype Occultist

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 01:14 AM PDT

Which lightning spell would you choose for:

    1. Map Clear
    2. Boss Killing

Is there a clear favourite? Or does it not really matter in this case

BL miner or Necro VD, which is smoother league start?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:53 PM PDT

Struggling to decide between these two - I have done miner as league starter before, so confident in that one, but very intrigued by VD spellslinger action as something new (to me). And infernal cry may be powerful for VD.

Anyone have any insight into which may roll smoother through the acts, and into red maps? i.e. minimal worries about gear, etc. Thanks1

Need help: Life based RF Trickster

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 06:31 AM PDT

My league goal is to (at some point) recreate FastAF RF Trickster, however, it's really expensive and LL.

Is there any way to make it actually work as a life based Tricster while I slowly buy/craft all the endgame items?

    Here's his LL build:

Bossing build ideas for new league start

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 07:32 PM PDT

Hey Exiles, coming here for the age old question "What should I play?" I've always want to play a bosser but every league I rope my dumbass into playing "3 mirrors just to be effective" build, not noticing until it's too late.
My main question is, what skills do people use for those 36 hour shaper/awakener/elder kills?! I understand they know the fight very well, but there has to be some builds that shine in straight up rare items.
Anyways! I have a list of characters I've played and attempted to boss on with little to no luck. (Best / outdated on the bottom) And I'm wondering what skill should I try out? Clear speed is a plus, but if RF is still viable I'm down for something at that pace if it can boss easily. I've never played a bow character or traditional melee, and I'm not opposed to trying it if it means I don't have to buy a carry to kill my awakener 5's.

Best luck by far however nearly 50 ex into the build - LL ED/C trickster. (killed A4 Sirus AFTER 5 seperate summons and full fails while learning mechanics)
    Elementalist BV
Vaal summon skeles necro (Worked well in Meta but heard it was nerfed, so didn't touch it since)
Scion Ele Hit (fire, "Bosser" before awakener... Did ok, heard it was gutted the league after. Never looked back)
Blade storm Glad (Felt so clunky I wanted to die)
Cyclone zerker (Meme build, Pillar of the caged god STR/DEX stack)
This build felt good, but seeing other cyclone builds I felt so weak in comparison
GC Miner sabo - Played in Meta, but my fingers still hurt from this.
Infernal Legion SRS necro Big meme, but paled in comparison to Spectre with SRS filler...
RF Jugg. Had by best luck with RF jugg, actually played it for 2 leagues in a row (been a long time), but that was after I farmed up ex's to fund it both times. Heard it was also gutted, so never attempted again.
I appreciate any info you guys have to spare. I've failed so many leagues on making a bosser, and with quarantine in full effect still, I'd like to give it one really good shot before I go back to buying boss carries every league just to pay to loot my own bosses. Thanks guys.

Final thoughts: I'm aware patchnotes.when hasn't happened yet, and anything could be changed, but what are some low-budget bossers people have actually had success on? Surely they won't/can't nerf everything that isn't 2 handed strike of doom.

Critique my Poison Starter (Cobra Lash Assassin)

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 07:15 PM PDT

Trying to make this as basic as possible so I don't fuck it up, lol.

Not sure how the Passive Skill Tree is. I really try to get 200% life, but it's really painful on Assassin so i'm always interested in other people's opinion there.

Not sure what to do for my chest piece. I get the feeling Copri's Will is not an ideal pick at least for cobra lash.

Edit wow I didnt post the POB:

    Can this PoB get improved?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 03:18 PM PDT

I found a nice *Lacerate* Build Guide from Esoro I plan to use next league, and was wondering if it can be improved? This is only my third league and I am not that familiar with this play style yet. From what I saw, it looks pretty fun to play, so I am excited to start getting currency for it.

I was just wondering if there were any good build/guides similar to Enki's Arc Witch. I know the build is meh but the guide I hear was really good. So I'm looking for a lvl 1 onward guide to really hold my hand through my first character. I'm extremely new and it will help me get to my own builds in the future :D thank you

    Levling Skills for RF Jugg

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 02:12 PM PDT

    Hey All,

With my kid due a few weeks into the league, I expect I'm only going to have time for a single build, and since I want one that can do 24/40 challenges, I decided this would be a good league for an RF Jugg start. (It being a boss meta instead of a speed meta helps too.)

Having never done RF before, I was wondering what the best 1-60ish skill would be, given I plan to follow this guide: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1985355

Also, if there's a better guide for RF Jugg, let me know!

This is seriously not a troll. I don't want to do RF, because that it too much investment into life regeneration. Can I make HoA work on a 4 link? I was also considering bodyswap or RF totems but I'm not sure about that.

Friend wants to try to get into POE, showed him some skill videos and he wants to try divine ire

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 07:14 PM PDT

Does anyone have a decent divine ire Inquis (my friend wants so self cast for his first play through and loves paladinesque characters) that don't require a ton of currency and can get to and farm at least yellow maps pretty efficiently? I will be playing with him and explaining mechanics to him as we go so as not to overwhelm him with an info dump, and I figure him having a decent build to follow while leveling while make it so he can absorb the other mechanics easier.

However, I'm not yet experienced enough to feel comfortable making a build for him that will give him enough tankyness to not keep getting one shot yet also feel decent to play. I was hoping someone here could give a hand with that.

    Much appreciated!

Edit: I should be specific before people put effort into making or finding something, specifically looking for something that does not require a ton of specific uniques or cluster jewels or anything like that. Just a moderately strong base tree build using divine ire inquis that is simple to gear and progress with. Probably one or two specific uniques would be fine as I could always buy them for my friend.

Need Help with Double Strike Scion

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 04:51 PM PDT

    Path of Building link

Hi! I'm inexperienced and need help with the skill tree for a double strike scion build.

In addition to being open to suggestions for how to improve my skill tree, I'm worried about the 6 ascendancy point requisite for allocating skill points from ranger's starting point becoming a bottleneck during leveling, whether raider+berserker ascendancy is better than raider+champion, and whether my character will be tanky enough to not get one-shot in the endgame.
