How does Ancestral warchief interact with warcry exert next attack buffs // the impaler keystone Posted: 30 Jul 2020 12:22 AM PDT hi, i wanna try to make a totem ancestral warchief build .. but some mechanics are a little bit confusing. how does warcries buffs interact with totems .. do the totems get the damage from the buff or not ?? also how does (the impaler) keystone interact with totems ?? do they apply the 4 impale stacks ? thanks in advance [link] [comments]
Bugdet build to farm up currency Posted: 29 Jul 2020 02:57 PM PDT I want to try out this fire bv assasin build but its too expensive for me since I have about 40chaos in my stash and some items that are worth around idk 2 ex maybe but i cant really sell them beacuse no one wants to buy. I have one character curently but it has no gear since i sold it all to respec but it turned out to be bad idea so what can i build with this 40 chaos that i own to farm up some currency for bv assasin [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jul 2020 12:39 AM PDT Hi, i'm going to do a blade vortex to melt endgame content and i hesitate between a fire or poison blade vortex I have 30-40 ex What is the difference in term of dmg single target, clear speed and survivability? (I think poison is more budget but i have 40ex) [link] [comments]
List of various summoner build? Posted: 30 Jul 2020 02:29 AM PDT Hello, I wanted to try a summoner after many years of avoiding it. Is there something like a list, video or sheet comparing various summoner builds? There seem to be a lot of summoner options and I have no idea where to start. I dont need guides or something, I can make it on my own, but I wish to know what to expect of which build/type of summoner. For example, how does it do in the end game bossing, mapping, budget, ssf or league start viability etc. I hope I explained my point properly. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Looking for build ideas given how cheap paradoxica and the saviour are this league, thx Posted: 30 Jul 2020 02:06 AM PDT At the minute im planning to run shattering steel glad But was thinking what else is there that can utilize either or, of these swords given how dirt cheap they are this league? anything as an assassin in particular? thanks [link] [comments]
Can't decide if this trade off of ES for damage is worth it Posted: 29 Jul 2020 11:09 PM PDT Here's me now Here's some musing I did, switching over to prism guardian and adding zealotry. It only gets me like 12% more damage while stealing a good 15% of my ES or so. What are the community's thoughts on these two? I can make the switch on my budget of about 5 exa, but will i be too squishy with my mediocre block and 7.5k es? I think it might be because I think getting more ES will be easy but getting more damage might be harder. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 11:42 PM PDT I saved up since league start and got a headhunter, I leveled up a CoC ice nova build My problem now is I don't where to go from here, I ultimately want to be able to do fractured maps farming I just don't know if I should switch to CI or if it can be done with life version, I don't know if dual wielding cospri is better or going shield and investing into block I skipped delirium league so I'm not very familiar with delirium maps or builds that run them, I'm assuming most of the builds running in them in delirium were using aura stacking or impale stacking Anyway I would love it if someone who has done delirium maps could help me figure out what the minimum required before considering doing them [link] [comments]
BV fire/cold assassin or storm brand assassin? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 11:06 PM PDT I heard good things about these 2 builds, lvled up a fresh assassin character got void batteries crafted explodey/frenzy chest and tailwind boots. Still undecided on the skills, I at least want the build to do conqs. Help me decide please. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Sustaining mana with Flicker Strike Raider? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:30 PM PDT Hi, just leveled my first ever flicker strike char. Not following a build guide, just looking at poe.ninja builds as I usually do, but I can't figure out how these guys are sustaining mana on bosses. This guy for example has one small mana leech node, and a jewel implicit that gives him 20% inc mana leech recovery--is that all he needs to sustain mana on bosses? I understand assassin mark sustains for clear on trash mobs, but how on bosses? I'm just getting the char to maps, but I'm already seeing that the single mana leech node is not enough to sustain my mana for bosses. This build is already flask starved so I'd rather not use a mana flask. Another guy has a -9 mana cost ring, but even then that only brings flicker to a ~45 mana cost for me which doesn't change the situation at all. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
As a new and first time player, how should I go about building my duelist? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 11:39 AM PDT I just got to act two and it's significantly harder. Not sure which way to move forward. Nor do I know which items are right for a duelist. [link] [comments]
What build takes full advantages pf the explody chest? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 05:50 AM PDT I just crafted a pretty sweet astral plate and I'd like to use it. I'd really like a build where packs blow up and all, but I would also like a fair bit of tankyness. [link] [comments]
IceShot Deadeye Build: Voidfletcher vs. Spike-Point Arrow Quiver Posted: 29 Jul 2020 09:35 PM PDT Is the Voidfletcher the best quiver for the IceShot Deadeye endgame build? Are the Void Shots more beneficial than the flat DPS that another quiver provides? I just quickly crafted a semi-low budget quiver for a little comparison. Spike-Point has almost 200k more DPS in Path of Building. Voidfletcher PoB: https://pastebin.com/7yY3JSay Spike-Point Arrow PoB: https://pastebin.com/GueTv0cV I appreciate your tips or advice! SSF trying to do builds that are not terribly common, Toxic Rain Occultist Test Posted: 29 Jul 2020 01:45 PM PDT I am thinking this should be very attainable in SSF, my goal is to clear game on one button. 214% Max hp, has Dodge, Wind Dancer, flesh and stone or damage reduct and blind, 2 curse, one being poachers mark to solve accuracy and grant sustain due to high attack rate with quill rain. Curses are applied by used of lioneye boots, easily farmable and will auto dual curse enemies in large area, wither is applied by ascend so no need for totems or dash. Never done toxic rain so i dont know what dps is good or in POB how many pods i should assume are applied. Goal here is ez gear, tanky and SSF possible with 2 buttons, attack and dash. Any suggestions? Edit: https://pastebin.com/k0r4bajk Slight changes, no more ES nodes or mana nodes, grabbed elusive on kill, figured more movespeed and dodge would be nice while mapping [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 07:19 PM PDT On the skill frostblink it says there is increased cool down with nearby enemies. Is there any way to cheese that and make it so there are always nearby enemies, without their being enemies? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:47 PM PDT So I have played the following builds so far this league. EQ Jugg (league starter) BL Sab Miner (My main boss killer) PS INT stacking CI Assassin Agnostic Archmage BV, BL, Cremation Necro Bleed Bow Glad Lone messenger dual void battery BV full fire conversion agnostic Necro Winterbrand Occultist Agnostic BV with Scion I just like testing new builds and this season I haven't min maxed much except for my PS Assassin and Agnostic Necro which both did all content. I'm trying to mess around with a pathfinder now and exploit the flask nodes and flask cluster jewels to become super tanky. Testing out scourge arrow now on the PF, just finished story mode but I'm obsessed with the idea of agnostic and using spells while maintaining RF in maps. I'm sure it would work with a PF but access to a lot of mana nodes would stretch the tree a lot and if that can even work. Just seeing if anyone has some build ideas around PF with spells, mana and agnostic while boosting flasks. [link] [comments]
molten strike projectile count Posted: 29 Jul 2020 02:52 PM PDT hello everybody. i have started to play molten strike build and i noticed that lesser projectile support gives only one extra projectile and greater one grants only 2. Ewar's mirage unique antique rapier does add one as it should be. is there something i am missing? why support gems provide less than half of their value? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:24 PM PDT POB --> https://pastebin.com/MsjgBSEx Profile Pic (those are mostly skin transfers) This good boy is a lot of fun to play and a product of some good drops I've picked up (especially gloves) from my first SSF character, an SRS Triggered Skeletons Necromancer. She's beaten Sirus 5 and is at that state of very slow progression (STILL haven't landed a 6-link on her Covenant!), so it's prime time to level a second. Shittyscramble, named after a bachelor recipe I eat frequently and also because his damage is scrambled, does everything I've been wanting to do in a new build. Anyway, I'll post the build because he'd make a great, cheap trade league starter and can clearly make it to red maps in SSF. I'd appreciate any tips or suggestions you can offer, even if they're big changes. He's currently comfortable in t11/12 maps but could work his way through t15 if I wanted to tolerate deaths. The result is a survivable, fast bow boy that feels great to play but needs a lot of stats to hit t16. At 88 right now I just have map grinding to do for some levels. Elemental Hit - Using one Combat Focus to block out Fire (because that's the one I found) and Elemental Equilibrium produces an immediate power spike that drills down bosses. EH does not use weapon damage and deals only one type of damage at a time, so that narrows your stat choices in a way that helps you build. Crit and crit mult, attack speed, MORE and increased damage, penetration/reduction, and pierce/additional projectiles is how you scale. Incidental fire damage (see boots) is free and good utility. Shock gives a huge damage boost and Freeze/Chill combined with Bow Knockback is powerful crowd control. Because you alternate between Lightning and Cold so quickly, you can count on high Ailment uptime. Point Blank lets you capitalize on all the defenses below by dealing MORE damage while close. Support Gems: Elemental Focus is huge but means no more Shocks, which POB tells me adds 50% damage on its own. That's his one big button, everything else is defense/utility. DEFENSES, ASCENDANCY and UTILITY Mind over Matter - Since no Auras or Heralds are really worth it, Mind Over Matter is an easy defensive layer to pack on. That's 30% damage reduction as long as you have mana, which is a no-brainer between Leech, Battle Rouse, and Dynamo, all conveniently nearby while you path to Elemental Equilibrium. Keep your mana unreserved for everything but Clarity. You'll feel very tough against most damage but eventually need to start dodging the big stuff. Blind - basically free evasion, also grants +90% crit chance with the blind/crit wheel by Point Blank. There's 15% chance to Blind on hit and some incidental Blinds from gems below. Focus - You can craft "Your Critical Strike Chance is Lucky while Focussed" onto your belt, I consider this essential because you can time it for brief periods of seriously crushing a single target. "Lucky" means the game rolls twice and gives you the better roll. If your crit chance was 50%, it's now 75%. lv1 Cast when Damage Taken - Purifying Flame with Blind and Desecrate. PF only deals Fire damage, which doesn't interfere with EE. Enemies on the Consecrated Ground take more crits and every hit has a chance to Blind. You regenerate health while on Consecrated Ground. Desecrate doesn't hit, but it spawns corpses for Death Walk. Death Walk - I picked up a 1-socket Bubonic Trail when I was already experimenting with CwDT Detonate Dead so the lv20 Death Walk fit right in. Your attacks will leave them weak to Fire because of EE, so the damage is surprisingly relevant, and it triggers EE back to Cold/Lightning. Support gems in the boots link to Death Walk so I slapped in Increased AOE, Combustion, and Blind again. If it Ignites, that's 10% MORE damage for EH against enemies with that Ailment. Double Dash - This is my preference, but I actually use two Dash gems in order to set one to "Attack in Place". This lets me set one button to Dash forward and the other to Dash backward. This is not essential, I just like it personally. Though both linked to Second Wind, their stored cooldowns do not stack. Linked to Blood Magic because you occasionally lose your Mana to Mind Over Matter. Doesn't happen with EH because it leeches mana for itself. Steelskin - Steelskin is pretty much the only good Guard for you, you pop it regularly. In 5-link with the above Dashes, Blood Magic, and Second Wind (just for cd reduction). Blood Magic is necessary because of Mind of Matter again. Dynamo nicely improves it further by turning it into a Mana Elixir, compounding the defense gains. Blood Rage - Blood Rage is just a big attack speed buff. Its degen is the reason you can't use The Agnostic (plus any DOT can kill your mana), but I think the damage is worth it. GEAR - This was my second SSF character so I had a leg up, namely the gloves. Quiver - You just want good stats, preferably with a Pierce implicit. You can get Life, Crit %, Crit Mult, Attack speed, and Ele Damage with Attacks. There's also a lot of good Influence Mods and a few good Uniques. Maloney's Mechanism is particularly awesome if you can get one, as you can 3-link a Split Arrow with Curse on Hit and Elemental Weakness as the ideal Curse applicator. Gloves - In my POB, you'll see a mediocre pair of gloves with the fantastic corrupt implicit of "Curse Enemies with Level 12 Elemental Weakness on Hit". Not gonna lie, this started the build. If you're in SSF and haven't picked one up you'll want to set up Blasphemy with Phase Acrobatics and Grace instead of Mind Over Matter. See Questions at the bottom. In a trade league, just shop for a decent pair with the implicit and you'll find something affordable eventually. Boots - As mentioned above, I'm using Bubonic Trail, but only the standard rare is necessary. 30% movespeed, life, resists. If you'd still like to explode corpses, you can make a Detonate Dead CwDT setup with Blind and Increased AOE here. Helmet - Again, you're just looking for the main stats of life/resists. You can craft Piercing or something more defensive, depends on what you need. I got one with a little less mana reservation but that's not important. Body Armour - Again, pretty basic unless you get really expensive. Life, resists, and links. A 5-link is affordable in SSF. I had a good hand-me-down from the Necromancer but it doesn't take long to find something decent and 5-link it. Rings - Life, resists, and Attributes. Until you're well-built this will be all you're looking for. There are some nice special mods available when you can afford them, especially Crit Multiplier, but I haven't gotten to that point in SSF yet. Amulet - Same story as the Rings, lots of options but basic needs first. Belt - I picked up a Hyperboreus that unveiled into "Your Critical Strike Chance is Lucky while Focussed", which is pretty nice for now. That can be crafted onto any Belt, however, so you'll be fine with a good rare Leather or Stygian. Life and resists, as usual. Goes without saying that Headhunter is best in slot, but duh. JEWELS - 3 Abyssal Jewels of three different types to benefit from Bubonic Trail and good stats anyway. Life, attack speed, and crit. I pack one Poacher's Aim for the Pierce. A no-fire Combat Focus, of course. You can alt-craft good gems pretty cheaply even in SSF. If you don't use Bubonic Trail, you just need the usual stats with a priority on Crit Multiplier. Gem Links Leveling In Ascendancy, go for Fortify first even though your first two points won't be useful. Don't worry, he can handle just fine waiting for second Lab. While leveling, you want to grab Elemental Overload until you can start stacking crit multiplier. You can even wear an Ungil's Harmony during that time to ensure 100% EO uptime. This will let you focus on stacking the essentials like life, resists, and attributes. Chance to deal double damage is good here but not worth heavy investment. You will drop Overload and Ungil's later, it does not compete with real crits. Storm Cloud, something you've probably vendored 100 times, is actually fantastic until you can pick up a good bow. Pick up one of these and a Combat Focus ASAP. That's really it for leveling, you can just work on the basics while gearing up. Life and resists, movespeed, and attack speed will get you into white maps easily. Eternal Izaro will be your first challenge but if you be sure to grab all the Darkshrines it will just be a matter of learning how to move the character. All major bosses have something to dodge. Map Mods - you can clear anything but Ele reflect, unless you pick up immunity to Reflect from like a Redeemer chest. Atziri is not doable without reflect immunity. Trade league My questions for the Veteran Exiles: That's it, thanks for reading. Suggestions are appreciate, he's still a growing boy. [link] [comments]
Can I upgrade my build with 1 ex, or should I keep farming? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 02:33 PM PDT PoB: https://pastebin.com/MHRaqEu0 Cospiri's ice nova CoC, Mind over matter/EB w/ devouring diadem. Made build around shield, so thats the only piece that I don't really want to change. I see >90% of CoC builds go either LL with Shavs or CI and was wondering if this build will even be viable to run with this shield as a life variant. Dps is fine for clear but struggles with bosses, though I know getting gem lvls and more levels for jewel sockets/crit multi will help. Build feels pretty squish, so much so that I had to throw in life leech and energy leech just to stay alive in regular red teir mapping. Cast on Crit is super fun and I think this will probably be the build that I want to play for the rest of the league, so I'm not necessarily opposed to selling the shield to better fund the build, but I'm not really interested in crafting it further. Best build for farming fractured delirium maps? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 08:53 AM PDT I've heard that farming the fractured max delirium maps is really good money, but what build would be really good for this? Is it worth doing if you're solo and not playing with a huge group for quant? Does it have to be t15/16 or can I do a t8 port like empyrian did? I've tried doing it with an auto bomber but it seemed too squishy as I don't have much investment in it right now. I've seen mentioned a CI CoC Ice Nova build but last time I checked that was quite expensive to get started. Say I have a budget of around 10 ex, which builds would be tanky enough for this while dealing enough damage, but still being fun? Not too interested in a zoom zoom level of speed as my main build is an auto bomber, just need something to chug through the map just a little faster than a turtle you know? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 05:08 PM PDT i cant get 100% crit, i only get 70% when using "hypothermia" and 97% when using "increased critical hits" is it more power to use hyperthemia support and maybe get more crit chance node in skill tree until you can get some jewels or go critcal strike chance and gurantee crit which one do i use and how do i get 100% crit, im using opportunist node in my ascendancy profile name:*CHAOS_EQUATION https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/JamileB/characters [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 04:07 PM PDT Hi, this is my penance brand inquis. https://pastebin.com/1fGcg5gD I'm working on a very expensive staff craft because the only upgrade I can seem to make (besides shaped cotb) is swapping disintegrator for a new weapon, but even a generic +5 staff is less damage than disintegrator. So shaped cotb aren't all that great until I also replace my disintegrator with a shaper staff because a) I won't get the ignore chaos res part and b) I can't sustain an additional 2 siphoning charges without leech. You'd think "np, you're always leeching" but it's a QoL thing to not have to swap out of your main set every time you end a fight to loot or leave harvest etc. Are there any changes I can make to my build to increase my survivability without losing too much damage? I'm kind of comfortable where my damage is at. Huge increases would be welcome but currently the only bosses that survive long enough to be a threat are sirus8 (who I can do deathless so no big concern) and harvest bosses, but that's only a problem when I try to farm multiples. I'm kind of pigeonholed where I'm at, using double clusters means that I am barely over the str req for enduring cry/steelskin, barely over the dex req for my blade vortex (used for power charges+coh+temp chains) and barely resistance capped. It's also not actually MoM, the timeless jewel gives me corrupted soul so my EHP is 4700hp/1500es. I have around 20% life regen per second because of perma consecrate. I run ES leech support but 6 siphoning charges keeps my ES at 0 unless cinderswallow is running. This means for bosses, my ES is useless more or less. I can let them expire during like Sirus phases to regen my ES, but then I'm trading damage for survivability. The staff craft I'm working on is a +5 with hatred aura effect shaper/redeemer staff. Currently, it's a 6W 6L shaper/redeemer staff that I'm spamming add/remove lightning for the 2% chance to hit my +3 lightning. So in the meantime, any changes I can make to my build? I'm up for pretty drastic shifts, but again it would have to mean actual improvments. Would appreciate any help in trying to find a path to improve besides (or in addition to) this very expensive craft. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 03:56 PM PDT I'm new to Poe just started this league. I'm looking for a easy build to play , something easy on the button play. I was looking at some videos posted here with blade vortex and everything exploding looks fun but is it something that can be done via a console or are there builds just for that. Sorry if this has been asked a million times. But I appreciate any advice or direction. [link] [comments] |
