Posted: 13 Jul 2020 09:49 AM PDT Saw this thread and a few others asking about the price of Badge of the Brotherhood, and decided to do some digging. There was a lot of speculation about what was the cause of the very high price of badge. Korean price fixers, deep delvers using storm brand (note that none of the 2000+ depth delvers are using Badge, even the ones using Void Batteries and high power charges), HoT autobombers (this definitely contributes), etc. Some people were absolutely positive it was because of Assassin deep delvers, similar with HoT autobombers. https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds?class=Assassin&item=Calamitous-Visions,Badge-of-the-Brotherhood But this seems to be the prime abuser, and where a lot of the ridiculously poe-rich players have dumped their currency into insane map farmers. Please note that the above link shows all Assassins using Calamitous Visions + Badge of the Brotherhood. Fire Blade Vortex is clearly the overwhelming culprit at. There are a few HoT users and a few Storm Brand users, but one needs only look on the right column to see all the cool Avatar of Fire icons (75% of characters, and 100% of the level 99-100 characters) to see that this Fire Blade Vortex is quite the build. edit: The above isn't true anymore. Had the same page open in my browser for 3-4 days, since then it's changed and there are many more HoT/Storm Brand characters (up to 37%), and 50% the 100s instead of 0%. I would say there are two main enablers for this build. The first is actually a cluster jewel notable, Vast Power, in combination with the standard dual Void Battery Assassin setup. Most of these builds run 10 power charges, and thus each Vast Power gives 30% increased area of effect and 20% area damage. Towering threat can also roll on the same jewel, which is an additional 10% aoe and 8% life. Most of the builds I saw ran four of these medium jewels. That means 120% increased aoe, 80% area damage, and 32% increased life. Area of effect scaling is vital for this build. Blade Vortex, Herald of Ash, and Explodey Chest all benefit greatly in terms of clear speed and playability from increases to aoe. It's what changes your normal, pathetic melee-ish range BV character to one that blows up the entire screen (and even off-screen) instantly. https://pastebin.com/NtH3X89E (PoB of the above character, there was an empty jewel socket when I imported from poeninja, so I added a jewel that capped the chaos res as the build was only 7% off, also added the glorious vanity extra ES onto the timeless jewel itself). That was the most comically expensive profile I saw while browsing through them. In addition to the 120% from AoE from jewels, you get 14% for free from the new quality->aoe Harvest implicits, although this specific profile of course has a double corrupted void battery with Unholy Might (rip avatar of fire) and another 16% aoe. So 28% aoe randomly from the two Void Batteries. Then another 20% aoe from the tree (note that this is just easy pathing, there is an additional 25% easily obtainable for 4 points that includes damage) for a total of 168% increased aoe. Now, the second enabler is Herald of Ash. There's so much currency flying around and so many power charges and other things, it's easy to miss the importance of Herald of Ash in this build, especially since unlike the other heralds (especially HoT), HoA isn't typically built around. One might see the videos and attribute a lot to the Inc AoE, explodey chest, and insane items, but this really is a Herald of Ash build. First of all, Calamitous Visions + 2x Circle of Anguish. What does that give us? Let's use the rings in the previously linked profile. Note that the cheapest of these double HoA Circles of Anguish with shitty implicits are 8ex. Anyways, the rings give us 114% HoA buff effect, 125% increased fire damage, and 52-69 fire damage. Note that the fire damage is generic, and thus applies to not only BV but the explodey chest explosions as well (notice a trend?). I'm unsure if the flat damage is added to explosions as well, if someone knows please let me know. Calamitous Visions gives us Lone Messenger, which gives 50% more HoA effect, and 50% more HoA burning dmg. I think it's important to stop and take a look at what HoA is giving with these rings+jewel equipped. The "buff" portion of a Level 21/20 HoA supported by a level 4 enhance grants 33% increased fire damage (quality), 15% phys as extra fire, and 13% more spell damage. Rings+Jewel gives 1.5*2.14=3.21 = 221% increased buff effect. This means that the HoA buff provides 105% increased fire damage, 48% phys as extra fire, and 41% more fire spell damage (pretty sure 41.7 rounds to 41% as rounding fucks you in every aspect of this game, same with the 105.9% inc fire damage). And, as I'm sure you've already noticed by now, that 105% fire damage and 48% phys as extra fire applies to our Explodey Chest explosions. Okay, with those main points out of the way, let's look at the rest of it: Assassin crit suite is obvious. 10 power charges gives you 603% inc crit (charges+batteries+power charge wheel), 130% crit multi (ascendancy+wheel), 420% (blaze it, literally) inc spell damage (void batteries+wheel). Throw in just 2 crit clusters and we're 80% crit (96% with diamond flask) and 441% multi, without going into crit on the tree basically at all (Assassination naturally paths out of Shadow starting area, and Arcane Potency is grabbed for 3 points by Avatar of Fire). Remember we already had 230% inc fire and 80% inc aoe dmg. Now another 340% + 80% from just two more sources, and we're at 730% increased damage. Just from a few sources, that makes up a huge portion our very impressive increased damage multiplier. The total is 1068% (1108% while leeching ES) increased damage for Blade Vortex. The truly disgusting part is that of this 1068% increased damage, 622% (662% while leeching ES, these numbers are also found in calcs, but you have to subtract the spell damage increases, which are the only increases that affect BV but not explosions in this build) of that scales the fucking explodey chest explosions. Combined with the phys as extra fire from HoA (and ignoring the 40% inc dmg while leeching and the fact that it can fucking crit because Assassin), instead of a 3% mob hp physical explosion, you get a 32% mob hp fire explosion! Then it's time to go full oil prince. Headhunter, corrupted blood immunity Inspired Learning, Fire Pen corrupted intuitive leap, Glorious Vanity. Tailwind boots with tons of life/resist. Gloves with 50% fire conversion and tons of life/resist. Frenzy on hit + Explodey chest with life and resist, as well as a free suffix to complement your Glorious Vanity with crafted 10% Life as extra ES. Only piece left that hasn't been mentioned is the Helm, which is quite specialized. You can see almost every single person in the poeninja list has pretty much the exact same helm. Life, chaos res, +1 to max unleash seals, +1 max power charges, nearby enemies have -9% fire res, Aspect of the Spider, and BV duration uber lab enchant. The Aspect craft can be resist as well, and then crafted on gloves instead (assuming it's not a necessary part of Harvest-crafting or making the helm). Note that "resist" on all those items also means chaos resistance. The PoB is literally chaos resist capped, not just ele resist capped. Pretty amazing in a build that uses so many uniques and influence mods. Quick mention that Pain Attunement and Arcane Vision are taken due to Glorious Vanity (Doryani). See https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Timeless_Jewel#Changed_nodes (Vaal ones only) for the list of notables Arcane Vision can be, some of them can be pretty damn juicy for 1 point. Finally, about the Cluster jewels besides the four medium jewels already talked about. There seems to be a great deal of flexibility. Doryani's Lesson is obviously huge, as it's the only source of life leech, and is honestly necessary as using unique rings/amulet, there's no way to get fire leech outside of a lucky Circle of Anguish synthesis implicit. Lord of Drought is great for flammability curse effect and more AoE. Prismatic Heart is great but the ele resists are useless in this particular PoB. The other large cluster is weird. ES leech is already taken on the tree to activate Inspired Learning, and the cap is minuscule. You also aren't considered leeching when at full ES. Arcane Heroism I suppose helps with Arcane Surge uptime if you're trying to zoom around without losing Frenzy Charges to using Flame dash, and the increased damage from the Arcane Surge buff effect is solid. Seal Mender is an obvious choice for a build that utilizes Unleash, and with level 5 awakened unleash, means it only takes 2.0 seconds to refresh to 4 stacks. Although it only takes 2.6 seconds to refresh to 4 stacks without it, so like all the choices in this second cluster, seems to be quite flexible and up to preference. There's only a single small jewel (other 3 mediums finish with normal crit multi/life/res jewels and Calamitous visions), which instead of Fettle or another Towering Threat, chooses Enduring Composure. This must be very good, as many of the characters are running it, and speccing into an additional max Endu Charge with Intuitive Leap on the Templar area. Basically just Doryani's Lesson + whatever, with Lord of Drought being very strong as well, and Seal Mender/Enduring Composure being something to try out (with the latter seeming to be very good based on poeninja). Digesting this build was really interesting, and explains why the HoA rings I've gotten in the past have sold for a good chunk. Seeing HoA give 105% increased fire damage (and this coming strictly from gem quality lol!), 48% phys as extra fire, and 41% more fire spell damage, is pretty wild. And the extent that it scales the explodey chest (3% -> 32% wtf) is just insane. Also, for those of you who might not give two shits since this is such an expensive build, I'm right there with you my destitute brethren. I've got a grand total of 13ex and that's with not really spending much currency after getting my two characters cheaply fitted for red maps/a8/bosses. But looking at builds and their mechanics is fun, regardless of the budget. [link] [comments] | ||

It's now possible to combine Eldritch Battery Mind Over Matter with Divine Flesh Posted: 13 Jul 2020 07:51 AM PDT Divine Flesh makes it so all damage taken bypasses your Energy Shield, so combining it with Eldritch Battery + Mind Over Matter (so you can still reserve your mana) previously ended up wasting the MoM effect since the damage would go straight to your life pool. However, the new Emperor's Vigilance unique shield has a line that says "Damage from blocked hits cannot bypass Energy Shield", which forces the damage from your blocked hits (since it gives you Glancing Blows, you take half the damage of hits you block) to be taken into your ES pool, overriding Divine Flesh (it also comes with a hefty about of block and spell block too, thanks to the built-in keystone). While this isn't the same as having the full EB MoM effect, it does still result in EB MoM increasing your effective HP even on Divine Flesh builds (the more block you have, the more effective HP it's giving you). Posted: 13 Jul 2020 07:41 AM PDT Basically what tittle says, in the last patch Saviour sword nerfed because of server issues. Even it's not %100 same thing, we have to build tons of storage tanks and horticrafting stations and keep them on our gardens. Which is causing huge performance issues for people like me, who can't upgrade their computers. After some numbers of stations+storages garden becomes unplayable, but i have to keep them if i want to grow t3/t4's. I'm not the first person to tell this but please at least adress our feedbacks. Because i don't wanna quit the league because of how bad the fps is which is mostly out of my control. [link] [comments] | ||
