[Suggestion] Make endgame bosses drop rares with very lucky modifiers to compensate when their uniques in certain leagues are worthless and also to add a new type of rewards for boss farmers.

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 05:35 AM PDT

Basically the title. Chris mentioned in Baeclast that one of the solutions to decrease the number of items dropped is to increase the "luckiness" of the drop so they have higher tiers.

I love the concept of getting a character per league to almost mirror tier equipment via crafting

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 07:23 AM PDT

Talking about harvest crafting of course; and doing it via engaging with the game and its mechanics and not just the trade site.

I really think Harvest is outstanding for the health of the game.

I think it will take a while till people catch on and understand crafting and that this learning period is part of what holds the popularity of the lague back a bit.

Being someone who has written multiple BuildGuides over the last couple years I am not surprised at all that many people don't engage with the crafting or item system at first.

Many, many players are often stuck in the mindset of 'I look for one or two mods and buy those items' and more involved items or itemisations need to be painstackingly explained over and over again. Very often people commenting in my buildguides don't slam their open prefixes, or suffixes, or even just craft on those free slots on their otherwise solid items. If basic understanding like that is missing - I am not surprised if Harvest will be received as 'meh'.

I am 100% convinced though that Harvest-crafting is a step in the right direction for the game as a whole and it will - as a whole - benefit from crafting systems like this longterm. Reducing the importance of trade and increasing the importance of playing and understanding the game is a plus no matter how I look at it.

What is you guys opinion on this?

Just had my most heroic POE moment and I wanted to share

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:47 AM PDT

So today, a guy on global chat asked if anyone wanted to get a free Vinktar Square map completion. Five people joined and he told us to wait at the start. He cleared the map, taking quite some time obviously due to the bosses having loads of HP and him playing ED contagion. He went into the arena, and it took a long time to get the boss down to half HP, at which point one other guy joined in and died immediately. The map owner also died in the fight soon after, so 3 of us were left because one guy left the map by accident.

Two ripped immediately, but nobody left the map and everyone stayed on the ground. So it was all up to me to get this massive boss down to 0 HP and getting the completion for 5 people at once. After more than five minutes of constant bobbing and weaving, staying at long range with my mediocre-gear level 93 VD build, and everybody cheering me on, I finally managed to take the boss down and recovered the flask for the map owner! Definitely the proudest moment of my POE career, especially since it's a game where it's not often possible for a scenario like this to happen.

    Invincible shrines are stupid

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 05:53 PM PDT

Good luck finding the shrine and then click it in an overcrowded area, if u even notice there is an invincible shrine at first. This has no place in this game and just another frustrating experience a user can have.

Can we remove the "currency" tag from items that don't go into the currency tab?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 11:49 AM PDT

    Hey,

This is a pretty minor inconvenience but just thought I'd post it in case other people feel the same way. Sorting dump tabs sucks for a lot of reasons, but the main one is it feels like any item that stacks is basically tagged as a currency item.

It would be awesome if items had a base tag with the name of the league / tab they go into to least help with sorting.

i.e: If I type in "currency" i don't get seeds being marked as a currency item. If I type in "harvest" all the seeds / components light up.

Harvest from a perspective of a semi "pro" player.

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 03:50 AM PDT

All rare items (accept the iron ring), i have, i either crafted from scratch or bought a base with 2-3 desirable mods and crafted the rest.

Now a little bit about me, as PoE player. I play since closed beta. Did a lot of racing, when official races were a thing, and even got some top placings. Played quite a bit of hardcore early on, now exclusively SC League player. Played in every single league, usually i get 36 challenges, sometimes 40, some times 24+. Every build i do, i theory crafted myself. If i like the build, i spend on average 50 ex on it. If i really like the build, i even make a guide for it. In an average league i play for 1-1.5 months and have 2-3 90+ good geared characters.

This right now is the point in league, where i would quit and wait for the next one. My gear can only be upgraded by mirror tier items (except 1 ring and i'm currently working on the replacement). I've successfully done every single encounter.

But because of harvest crafting, i want to keep playing. I know, i can upgrade my gear without paying 100+ ex per slot. An the best part, i can do it by crafting and not just farming currency and buying it. The reduction of crafting rng makes it a lot more fun for me and i want to engage with it. I still want to get t1 life roll on my boots, replace that iron ring, get t1 resist rolls, upgrade my amulet and so on. All of this would not be possible without harvest for me and it is what still keeps me in the league.

All rare items (except the iron ring) i have, i either crafted from scratch or bought a base with 2-3 desirable mods and crafted the rest. I don't know, how much longer, i will play in harvest, but it will definitely be more, than i ever played before in any league.

I will miss harvest a lot.

There should be more obvious indicators when you are affected by an ailment or negative effect.

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 09:09 PM PDT

I've been playing this game on and off for 10 years now, and I can honest to god say that the little freakin' rectangle on the top left of my screen is not enough to warn me if I'm shocked or chilled or ignited or bleeding. Especially with the on screen clutter that's going on nowadays and with many characters running into packs to deal damage, it's really hard to tell when you're more vulnerable than usual.

Perhaps there should be an on screen effect (like frost appearing on the corners of your screen when you're chilled) to better warn people. (should be able to be toggled on and off, of course.)

*edit: a good point has been brought up about how many ailments there actually are. It would be easier to generalize what is affecting you instead of specifying each ailment - something like:

blue for movement impaired, yellow for vulnerable, and red for dot

The idea is that you know something is affecting you so that you can react to it, which would be very nice to have.

Giving away harvest crafts, seeds, currency and all sorts of items for FREE as I'm done with this league. Preferably newer and less experienced players. Can give a collateral, if you fear getting scammed with the crafts :)

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 12:28 PM PDT

No idea if this kind of post is allowed on here, but if it is, just hit me up ingame (name's Harveed) and let me know what you're needing. Any craft, seed, currency, essence, influenced item, fossils, literally anything I might have in stash.

    Spread the love!

EDIT: Sorry if I don't respond right away, I got messaged by quite a few people and work my way through them one by one. I'll eventually respond to everyone.

**EDIT2** Still have tons of everything except for seeds (still have all sorts of crafts) and raw currency.

I love harvest crafting and I want it to stay in the game

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 10:41 AM PDT

I just spent half an hour in the garden debating which mod to try on what item, and I was fully engaged the entire time. Mod-targeted crafting keeps me looking forward to each and every fully ready harvest. I honestly can't remember the last league that kept me hooked for this long. Just remove the absolute bullshit on-death effects that sit on my crafting stations (and make metamorph spawn more often) and I will be eternally grateful. Hats off to the team att GGG for this one.

    FPS Drop since last patch?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:48 AM PDT

Anyone else getting massive FPS drops and stutters since the last patch drop?

I am back to DX/pre-Vulcan quality FPS since the last patch. I use Vulcan now, but it is basically back to 3-5 second FPS stutters and freezes, and about 15-20 FPS lower on average. Even in just basic maps (no delirium) if any mission character comes on screen it freezes 3-5 seconds whenever they die. Gotten me killed several times now.
