    One of my biggest passions in PoE is helping new players break into the game and get "on their feet". While there are a huge number of YouTube videos explaining this process (none better than Engineering Eternity's guide series), I've always preferred written content to videos.

    Path of Exile For Dummies aims to break new players into the game in digestible, organized chunks of information. Inside you'll find links to important third-party sites, an explanation of classes, items, the skill tree, and more.

    I've included a link to my leveling guide, which is a generic doc that can help any build get through the Acts efficiently.

    My hope is that PoE For Dummies can help many new players understand this daunting game a lot easier, especially during the pre-3.12 hype week.

    so i noticed that there's a big blue poof in the showcase video.. is that a built in effect or an inpulsa?

    i feel like skill showcases shouldn't be done with using added effects such as inpulsa or explo chests as it just makes it misleading as to how the skill actually operate

    Can we make it so Essences no longer ignore meta mods?

    It was fine it did during essence because back then it would've been too good but Essences are the weakest of all crafting methods right now and with Harvest not going core at least this would give us a small middle ground were you could guarantee a Suffix or Prefix (at the cost of re-rolling the others +2ex).

    QoL Ask, The Technology Is There: Make Tora Research work Like Facetor's

    Since we know it's doable, if we can get Tora in research to "push" the XP over a level barrier like a facetor's lens, I would be forever grateful. Nothing's more irritating than having to wait to run a safe-house because you need to push a gem over an XP threshold just so you can get the full value from the bench.

    I can't be the only person who wants this...

    Now, if we could figure some way for the lenses to go core, then I'd have something do with all my level 3 corrupted empowers again.
