Why is this better than other controller remapping software?poe-controller was designed specifically for PoE: Mapping features A controller joystick is mapped to character movement: Moving your joystick holds down the left mouse button and move your mouse in a circle around the character. Releasing the joystick releases the left mouse button. You can see it happening in this gameplay clip: I map one joystick to character movement. This moves the mouse in a circle around the character. I map the other joystick to mouse movement. This lets me freely move the mouse. This allows for smooth gameplay compared to other remapping software (JoyToKey, ReWASD). Regarding the ToS:I've reached out to GGG and got a pretty standard response: I would like to emphasize that poe-controller does not give you any in-game advantage. It follows strictly the policy of one button equals one action. Also, it does not interact with game files in any way. I'm hoping to get a clearer answer as the project gathers traction and that someone from GGG will take a more in-depth look at the project. Crowd control skills seem pointless when they don't apply to bosses. Posted: 12 Sep 2020 09:29 PM PDT Many CC style skills are interesting mechanically, but have no practical application due to limitations imposed by bosses. I'm all for GGG promoting a playstyle of some skills being used as way to control enemy movement or mitigate specific attacks, but with how much damage players do there is no incentive to do this on rares or most fights mid map. I get not wanting builds to be "one button for everything", but there are better options GGG has given already. Guard skills and strong movement options like Dash do a decent job of promoting an active playstyle. I think some of the new skills might work well, mostly the cold one, but Void Sphere in particular worries me. The hinder might make it not entirely useless against bosses, but it isn't acting as anything other than a slow which we have other sources of that take less work to maintain. Knockback and flee also have this problem (although flee has others), where these mechanics that could have strong boss application just can't be used on bosses. I get that some of these could be broken on bosses or cause AI problems possibly, but them having no use in those fights seems to disincentivize their use. [link] [comments] | ||

If you're experiencing micro stuttering try noasync Posted: 13 Sep 2020 11:00 AM PDT Put --noasync -gc 2 in steam launch options (if using steam) or in the target field of your shortcut, past the stuff in quotes. It increases load times (which were about the only thing improved by this update) but should fix the stuttering, or at least it did for me on my shitty laptop. Hopefully GGG will fix the problem but until then this is a good stopgap measure. [link] [comments] | ||
