    Duo options for Mayhem?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 07:06 AM PST

A friend of mine who hasn't played for several leagues is willing to give the Mayhem event a shot and I'm looking for ideas to make duo play interesting. He got me started on the game and we've tried the standard aura/curse bot type builds before, but it starts to feel pretty bad as the bot after awhile. We've also tried the standard boss killer + map killer suggestion before which was also kind of lame as there was no real synergy or need to stay together. With that said, I realize the latter is probably the best option without a bot and I'm just hoping that someone may have suggestions on things to try for a 1 week event. Obviously we'll be in trade league to have the ability to play together for the event, so any cheap required items for builds to function shouldn't be a problem. We have tried to do a sort of "trade ssf" type style in the past as trade can be frustrating and feel like it's taking away from the natural progression of the game at times, so options with no required items are even better!

Anyway, any suggestions are welcome but I'll start with a few ideas that I'm interested in getting feedback for.

    1) Discharge "carry" + something like Harmony of Purpose Guardian or any ascendancy that has built in charge generation + conduit to share those charges. This would be more along the lines of a support + carry build, but the hope would be that it feels more involved than a standard support. This could look like Inquis/Chief/Assassin, or even Slayer?(Masterful form) carry + Guardian (for HoP + more useful party nodes)/Trickster/Assassion "support" as they have easy means to generate power/frenzy charges. I'm thinking endurance charges would be the easiest for the carry to passively generate via enduring cry or whatever and it's more about finding ways for that character to stack as many + max charges as possible.

    2) Master of Metal Champion (and likely Conqueror to be a kind of tank/aggro character) + something that can benefit from the added phys per Imaple (not sure if the 2nd character adding to # of Impales is important or if 2x Master of metal Champion would stack the phys). Definitely interested in suggestions here as I'm not sure what the radius for "nearby" from Master of Metal is which makes deciding on a ranged vs 2nd melee option difficult. First thought was a Guardian Summoner (impale zombies/skeles?) as making the tank more tanky + stuff like perma onslaught, attack speed buffs for party, etc means applying more impales.

    3) Flame wall + insert fire projectile. Maybe RF + Flame wall tanky + something spamming projectiles from range (salvo mines?). Not sure if this is worth splitting up between characters as you can make it function in a single build, but I've been interested in the idea since Flame Wall was introduced.

    4) Corpse generator + DD/VD/Crema sort of thing. Again, not sure if this is worth splitting between two characters. I believe what's popular now is Archmage for those types of builds, so it seems reasonable that a Necro generator + Heiro Archmage carry could work. Another idea that's more support + carry, but hoping to find ways to make it more active if the consensus is that it's a viable pairing. I don't think the +max life to monsters from party play scales with the explosion skills.

    Max Block Cyclone Gladiator

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 12:35 AM PST

    Hi all,

first time posting here. I'm still a relatively new player (1-2months) and was fortunate enough to get to know some helpfull people to learn me this game very quickly. Now, im starting to get into min-max territory and i have been contemplating on what route i should go on next to improve my build even further. I'm currently running a Max block Cyclone gladiator (PoB link below) i have roughly 13.2 mil sirus dps with 1 curse ring (vulnerability) and i've been thinking of expanding my build through adding a second curse ring and applying the Whispers of doom anointment to my amulet. So far most of my gear is where i somewhat want it to be with the exclusion of my non-curse ring and amulet that are available slots to improve upon. Below i will present the 2 ideas that i have for improvement, if anyone here has other ideas that may be better, feel free to let me know!

    Assassins mark ring:

I would change my non-curse ring for a similar ring but with assassins mark on it. If i take this route i have not really found a way on how to build further upon it on the long term. All in all this would simply improve my dps, mapping and bossing. Nothing more to add here i think.

    Warlords mark ring:

I would change my non-curse ring for a similar ring but with warlords mark on it. If i take this route the idea i have is to implement both Berserk and MAYBE Rage support (cyclone setup for melee phys - add melee phys dmg for bossing) in exchange for maybe enduring cry or i keep enduring cry aswell and switch my dash-second wind setup to simply just leap slam. I'm aware that i won't be able to sustain a constant uptime of berserk but thaught this would add alot of extra layer of defense, dps, ms... . It also fun to have something i would call an "ultimate". My idea is that i can sustain berserk for roughly a couple of seconds with a ramp up time of about 10sec to get my berserk going again. This would definitly improve my gameplay overall for deliriums/simulacrums and general mapping but i don't think it will be a direct improvement for bossing.

    PoB link: https://pastebin.com/azt2H2Zw

These are the ideas i have, if anyone can give me some feedback on wich route would be the best for the long term so i can keep improving this build or if anyone has a better idea on how to improve the build. Id love to know!

Thanks for listening and stay sane exiles!

    Starter build for Endless Delve

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 12:06 PM PST

I'm looking for ideas for a starter build for next week's endless delve. It also has to be something that scales well as I don't think I'll be making more than one build during the week. Thanks!

'meta leveling' build for poison BV

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 02:00 AM PST

I want to try poison BV with mayhem tonight. But from past experiences, BV feels pretty bad while leveling.

what's a 'get to act 10 in under 4 hours (with practice)' sort of build that can easily transition to poison BC without 100 regrets?

    Easy way for switching builds

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 12:17 PM PST

Is there an easy way to check your current build vs the one you're changing to so I don't have to constantly back and forth the game and POB and hope I didnt fuck up some regrets or anything ?

I know we can't import a build but i didnt know if someone had created an overlay for mapping out lvling points or anything like that.

I'm building out cluster jewels for the first time some I'm seeing if theres any way to make it easier to see which nodes to drop and all.

    build to transition into coc

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 07:31 AM PST

I've always enjoyed coc ice nova but I only play it as a second character after I farmed the gear on a generic meta league starter, but since mayhem is only 1 week long I'd like to play coc as my first character. I'm just looking for a build I can play into maps and farm for enough gear to transition (1 cospris minimum) that doesnt need that much respeccing, any reccomendations?

Going for GS Champ. Any useful support that my duo can play? Mayhem ofc

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 10:40 AM PST

I'm going for the carry as usual, wanted to play GS this time. What can my aurabot go for to support me?

Which triggerable spells benefit the most from large AoE?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 10:27 AM PST

I've come up with a half-baked idea for my "lazy cyclone/CwC just for fun build".

I'm going to go Ascendant: Necro/Sabo for the massive +60% increased AOE.

I've got some ideas about skill combos, but wanted to know which CwC-triggerable skills benefit the most from increased AoE?

Are there any spells that can still shotgun?

    Do fireball explosions still overlap?

How can I abuse this pairing on my cycloning Ascendant?

Thanks in advance! Okay, I'll stop posting now. :D

Fast leveling to 50 in mayhem, best build?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 10:14 AM PST

As the title says, whats the fastest way to get to 50 in mayhem? Just wanna get the box as fast as possible. I guess it has to be something without much/any gear investment, should be able to deal with mayhem mods and doesnt require ascendencies.

    Generals cry question

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 08:22 AM PST

Hey all I've been searching all over and couldn't find an answer for this question. If I have general's cry linked to tectonic slam will it expend or use any endurance charges that my character has? I'm thinking that if the mirages can get the buffs from endurance charges, but I'm not slamming so the charges wouldn't get eaten, similar to the interaction with the savior and steel skills snap shoting the amount of shards you have.

I might test this later once I'm off work, but wondering if anyone else has tried.

Cheap and Tanky straight forward Lacerate glad

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 08:09 AM PST

    https://pastebin.com/CKNd10dV

I was tired of "easy cheap build" that actually need 10ex items on 5 slots to really work.So I worked on a build with nothing expensive excepted for the Threed of Hope, wich is one Ex.

I wanted 50%block and 100K EHP, not much unique and average roll on everything (that's why res aren't maxed but it doesn't take much to get it)

Can you help me getting more damage while staying in this "really cheap" build spirit ?

    Scion Soul Taker Cyclone Build

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 04:44 AM PST

Hello. I started playing in 2013-2014, but I left the game soon after, so I do not know much of the game. I did make it to lvl 80 something one time I got into the game again. Around the time the masters were introduced. I made a Scion using Cyclone while wielding Soul Taker to cast Cyclone indefinetely and Bino's Kitchen Knife to proc some poison damage and it used to work ok for the level I was in. But now I noticed that for most skills I cannot have an axe/knife combo. Is there any build for this set up that works nowadays? All I care is that is a Scion using Cyclone with Soul Taker. Passives, support gems, and all other aspects I have no problems changing. I really don't want the most OP build ever made or to be able to kill the latest boss solo in one shot. Only want the build to be somewhat decent, but I have been disconnected for so long that I haven't really been able to understand how to make it good now. Thanks in advance for any insight and help

Need help with a Skele Archer build

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 03:44 AM PST

    https://pastebin.com/eJN847UG

I FINALLY made it to Sirus today, only to keep getting one-shot throughout the fight. This was my very first attempt at Sirus, so I couldn't dodge everything perfectly

I'm fine with the DPS output on this build, I was able to get him down to about 1/2 health before running out of portals - it's the tankiness that I'm concerned about.

Is there anything I can do at this point to make the build a little tankier? I realize that minion builds aren't known for being beefy but I've come so far with this one it'd be a shame to just give up on it.

    Quad Herald BV elementalist?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 11:54 AM PST

Thinking about going this for Mayhem, but was also looking at the steel skill builds before they get nerfed into the ground, but have zero idea about them. What are these op builds everyone speaks of? Would also, on the other hand like a good guide about the Quad herald bv ele, was confused between this two for Mayhem.

Culling vs. ~7% more damage for multi-phase bosses like shaper/sirus/elder

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 11:35 AM PST

I currently have a character that uses assassin's mark and I have Marked for Death anointed on my amulet. I could potentially upgrade my amulet for a corrupted one that with a different anoint that would get me about 7% more damage, but I would lose culling strike. Against single-phase boss monster culling strike is almost a 10% more damage buff, right? I'm wondering if the trade-off of being able to phase multi-phase bosses about 7% faster makes up for that 10% more damage that only applies during the final phase. The final phase of Sirus, in particular, is more challenging so it seems like having culling for the final Sirus phase is in particular more valuable. Is this thinking correct? Am I missing anything?

Looking for a lazy Cyclone-CwC/CoC build

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 12:29 PM PST

I'm looking to get back into the game with some of these events (just for fun, not competition) and am looking for a simple cyclone-cwc/coc build.

I'm not worried about maxing anything out, just something fun and chill without a lot of micro-management.

I've done Ball Lightning, WoC, VD, and Fireballs before, but I'm open to suggestions. They can be unconventional builds as long as it's cyclone pew pew.

    Thanks in advance!

Hello there. I just sold my aura stacker and wonder what to try now. I'm looking for something that has good defence(so you don't have to dodge everything in the game) and decent dmg for bossing and t16+ deli maps.

Something CoC If possible. I hope people have some good ideas I can check.

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 04:59 PM PST

From what I understand, mine builds are mostly used for deep delving, atleast that's what I heard. So what are some variations that are good for mapping? I'm curious to try league starting on a mine build.
