    SRS Questions

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 03:29 PM PST

Hey there! Long time player. First time Build Question poster. Never played a minion build outside of HoAg. Trying to do a fresh start in SSF with SRS and looked up a couple of builds. But they were doing various things that were different. Even PoB was a bit wonky on some things. So Im just gonna list out my questions and please respond as you see fit. :)

Unleash vs. Spell Echo? Do people gemswap Multistrike and Melee Splash? Or is there something better to swap? PoB says SRS has 33% conversion, but the wiki says 50. Which is correct? Is it worth converting the damage fully? I imagine so. I dont see many people taking EE for SRS. Why?

I was able to get up to ~3.5 mil dps on super basic gear (tabula and +1 wand), but thats assuming 15 srs active. Is that a good benchmark for SSF?

Thanks in advance and happy new year!

    Problem with build

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 10:13 PM PST

Hi. I am playing Heist with a Scion with Rain of Arrows (I know it is not ideal) and was wondering if some of you guys (who I'm sure are better at building than me lmao) can take a look at my build. Here is the pastebin. As of now, I am lvl 90 and I am struggling with some T7 rare maps. my dps is around 20-21k when engaging and killing isn't the main issue, but surviving. I have almost 5k HP and capped resistances (except chaos at 21%). I only have 30c to buy equipment you might suggest, but I'm working on farming more. Idk if there are something I could change to make it better.

PS: There are 2 trees in the PoB. Default is what I currently have and test1 is what I was planning to switch to, but it seems it only substracts stats, so idk what to do really. Any help is appreciated :)

Looking for a dodge based build

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 03:53 PM PST

Hi, I would like to start new league as a dodge based character. Can you recommend any builds like that? I have already seen BF BB Assasin, ED/C Trickster and CA/TR Trickster. Thanks for any comments ^

    Xandro Blooddrinker Build

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 07:05 PM PST

I want to meme it up and do a Xandro Blooddrinker build. Essentially a two handed ground slam build with super fast attack speed.

Any ideas on how to actually scale such a build? Bleed gladiator? Rage zerker?

Esoro's Blast Blast Asssasin - Mana Issues.

    Posted: 28 Dec 2020 03:28 AM PST

Hello there, overall i'm pretty happy with the build, but i'm looking for some ideas how to adress this problem:

    TLDR;

    • Mana Flask great at Mapping with refill, but runs out on Multiphase / dodgy bosses like Sirus.
    • Eldritch Battery great at Bossing, but leech and regen don't keep up during high-density mapping.

Preferred solution: Fix Mana regen for Bossing, have ES as Health

Okay-Solution: Increase ES recovery for mapping.

    DV; (Detailed Version):

    My Setup: https://pastebin.com/EPCHZB1i

I used Esoro's Blade Blast Assassin for the Flashback event (https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/kd5fg1/esoro_312_blade_blast_fall_assassin_build_guide/) and generally i was suprised quite positively how smooth the build was running up until Tier16 / Awakened 5.

That was the point where i was close to the recommended Setup, but encountered the issue of bosses not Dying before i've burned through the Mana Flask, due to the Bladefall / Blast Combo consuming 80% of my unreserved mana, while not doing enough damage.

The Path of Building also features 3 stacks of Itensify, which really is a shame: Essentially you need to have the mana flask running and stand still for 3 seconds to stack Itensify up, use Bladefall and Explode it - with the result of ton's of blades missing to the point where not stacking itensify does more actual damage.

This is, in my opinion, a major flaw of the guide where extremely high, unrealistic PoB DPS where favored, despite those setups still being on the ridicoulous side (still reaching 10 milllion dps without stacking itensify on the endgame setup).

So i've started not stacking Itensify and have more actual damage and easier dodging in the early stages of the build.

After switching the playstyle i was feeling pretty comfortable until i did Sirus again - a boss with so many phases and teleporting around where some combos are bound to not hit. The mana flask was consumed blazingly fast and then the waiting with bad mana regen began.

So i replaced the Ahuana / Timeless part of the Tree to get into Eldritch Battery, so i can use the Energy Shield Leech to have it refill the mana. Damage-wise it's roughly the same - you lose Arcane Surge due to not spending mana, but you gain the additional reserve of Heral od Purity, but it comes at a cost of the defense.

Eldritch Battery solved the mana issue quite nicely - for bossing. But at mapping, especially problematic for the Delirium / high density maps that require throwing lots of bladefalls and blasts the Leech rate is too slow to catch up. Here is where the mana flasks shined - with the refill on kill it provided constant sustain, even with using - cost of Non-Channeling skills on the rings.

Optimally i would fix the Mana regen so i can use the ES as Health pool again, but not run out on bosses, but i would also be fine with an Idea of fixing the Eldritch Battery Regen for mapping. For the latter i considered an ES on Kill Chest, but i'm yet reluctant on dropping the Carcass Jack.

    Thanks for your time!

Suggestion on an endgame phantasm necromancer

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 04:50 PM PST

    Hello,

I recently found a 4 white socket triad grip and this is what I came up with Untitled - Pastebin.com it has ok damage and clear speed and is fairly tanky but I would like it to be a bit better any suggestions? My plans for the future are six linking the body armour and getting rid of convocation for infused channeling.

    Can someone explain that build

    Posted: 28 Dec 2020 02:49 AM PST

    Hello together,

i play a Earthshatter Champion and like it. My Problem is, i saw a build on POE Ninja witch looked rather cool, but i dont understand a few things.

    https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/CloudySorrow/%EC%97%BC%EB%9D%BC%EB%8C%80%EC%99%95?i=4&search=class%3DChampion%26item%3DFacebreaker%2CScolds-Bridle%26skill%3DEarthshatter%26sort%3Ddps

How is the Mana reservation managed? You can't put all of theses together...

whats the Plague Bearer for? pseudo chaos resist?

Its not that automated it seems when i play it?!

Headhunter is just Pimp Stuff i guess. I dont see reason to have it

Whats an effective way to aurastack?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 08:42 AM PST

So I'm trying to build my first build ever but having some trouble finding a way stack multiple auras in a 6L. I'm trying to link enlighten - generosity - pride - wrath - anger - hatred

Enlighten is obviously for reducing mana reserved but I still dont think I can cast all of that given the amount of mana reserved. Whats the most effective way to reduce mana reserved? Are there any passives I should take, or items I should pick up? Should I switch one aura for empower to upgrade gems so that the mana reserved is reduced?

Please be gentle, this is my first build ever and just trying to have fun and learn the skill tree, not necessarily make a super endgame character

Want to try burning arrow. But need help.

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 02:39 PM PST

Hey guys Ive watched so many different Burning Arrow builds but im torn between chieftain and Trickster. What is tankier and what has better upgrade ceiling without a cap. (Helpful if you can tell me pros and cons of both).

Now the biggest difference I had a hard time thinking about was I see two types of BA builds. One that uses xophs nurture and the other with stormfire ring and tempest bow. What is the pros and cons for those as well. Please help me guys and also happy late christmas and early new years.

    Archmage arc ignite trickster?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 07:19 PM PST

I remember seeing a really good looking arc ignite build using stormfire and archmage support back in delirium league. Has anyone tried it since the nerf to archmage support, and if so how did it go?

Wanting to play an Ignite Divine Ire Trickster or Inquis! Need help

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 05:22 PM PST

Acronyms are welcome, and any sort of guidance on where to start -- which skills to use early on and what kind of weapons to look out for during my leveling process!

Was planning on using this guys poe.ninja profile as reference. But I don't know what would be in place before a Nebulis! https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/CrankyPants1/Pink_BatCurglar?i=0&search=skill%3DDivine-Ire

I have serious problem surviving bosses as Bleed Bow Glad.

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 08:39 PM PST

    Build: https://pastebin.com/QZD6rrvM

Background: International POE>D3>Garena(TW)POE. Left because hated the leveling, didnt even went to endgame once. Came back because I want to give POE another go and so far it has been very enjoyable. Joined very late into the Heist league and I consider myself a new player.

I intend get familiar with this build for the next league. I can now usually clear T16 maps mobs no problem. But the bosses are really giving me a hard time. They usually one/two shot me and some T15 bosses are just impossible e.g. Core bosses. I attempted Sirus only once (went in blind AW4) and was only able to bring him down to 50% before I used up all the portals. I have since upgraded a few aspects (6L&6S-ing, ryslatha, belly of the beast, tree) but the survivability feels similarly mediocre during map bosses, so I think I am not able to take on Sirus yet.

Is this a case for me to:

    a. Just look for more damage to reduce fight time

    b. Build up chaos resistance

    c. Boost life pool

Currently my goal is to get an Elder bow upgrade and look for my last 2 trials, but after those I am honestly quite lost how to progress further. Any suggestions are welcome!

Relaxing boss killer (delve bosses, perhaps Sirus)

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 11:50 AM PST

    Hi all,

Could you recommend me a "relaxed" boss killer for up to 500 depth Aul'n'other bosses in Delve?

My max block es recovery ED does well on Sirus, uber elder, but I cannot sustain it with its 1.5 mil dot DPS in fights with delve bosses, where death means starting over.

I was thinking maybe a jugg HoAG, with maybe less dps but more brain-dead?

Boundary conditions, i play SSF standard since ~7 leagues. I don't have the time to learn every fight by heard, unfortunately, need something a bit brain-dead

Struggle to decide. Explosive trap or purifying flame mine

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 01:56 PM PST

I am planning to play ssf next league and can't really decide between the two builds. I played explosive trap already through the acts and was a hell of fun to skip all bosses. But purifying flame has such a better clear and I didn't played it yet. What is your experience?

    Looking for discharge-like league starter

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 05:42 PM PST

As title says, I really like the feel of self cast discharge, jumping head first into a pack and blowing them all up without the need to target or anything. However I only recently discovered that I like discharge so I haven't had the time to experiment with it properly. So what confirmed as good league starters have a similar play style? Ice crash seems nice but Hollow palm won't be a good starter for me and I've done int stacking for the past two leagues so I don't want to attribute stack again, any other builds would probably end up using marauder and I'd rather not do that. I also tend to like the dex/int play style more so than any of the strength classes.

How viable could a ignite fireball/flame wall chieftain be?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 06:18 AM PST

    Hey guys,

I've been thinking of making an ingite fireball chieftain for the upcoming league as a starter. I want a tankier spellcaster that does not rely on dodge like for example the trickster variant would. I don't care to play the best possible meta builds and go super fast, would just like to be able to clear the game comfortably. Would that be possible with an ignite fireball chieftain?
