Ascendancy differences for archmage arc Posted: 23 Dec 2020 01:07 PM PST I'm looking into running archmage arc next league and it looks like there are 3 ascendancies people are running: assassin, hiero, and scion multi-classing these two. I was wondering what the major differences are, my instinct would say that hiero is tankier but the dodge from being in the assassin area seems really good as well. The builds I'm looking at are running the same items basically (with assassin and scion taking crown of the inward eye to provide transfiguration of mind). So, is one class better than the other for a specific reason? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Dec 2020 10:06 PM PST heyo reddit, For the next league I'm looking for a ES or CI build that is a great bossing build. I played deadeye ice shot this last league and farming deli maps and the clear speed was great but despite the insane amount of currency into the build and struggling against Sirus a8 and Uber elder feelsbadman. Interested in playing a coc ice nova but also thst looks like it may fit more into a clearing build than boss strength. Any suggestions? A little blend of both would be nice of course 🙏🎉 [link] [comments] |
Bleed EQ Juggernaut build questions Posted: 23 Dec 2020 03:22 PM PST Hello ! Those recent events were pretty nice to test some new build and one of them was a Bleed EQ Juggernaut for me! The damage seems pretty huge with the right gear (for now my axe need to be a lot better!) but the few guides that i read about it (when it's not just a PoB link...) are kinda "short" on explanation... PoBlink : https://pastebin.com/qSRdzNKW So, first thing, if i intend to use some Cluster Jewel what would be the good to go? the large 12% melee damage? or the medium 4% phys dam over time? or both ? (i think for this kind of build, the less the better so with 8 / 4 passives i guess) Since we have on the first strike/Warcry 7 Endurance charge (and 3 Frenzy if i don't forget to cast Blood Rage), does a Thread of Hope in medium radius could be usefull ? To get the 2 Discipline (Unyielding and Slaugther) Third, with my actual skill setup, i have 2 slot free (well the enhance jewel is just here to leech xp... and when i get a real 6L chest that will be 3 slots) and i'm short on idee to fill this up, any suggestion on this? And last one, the 6L setup for EQ come from the first PoB i find for this build (which... i don't remember...) but i've seen some variation with 2 or 3 green support (like Swift affliction) instead of 1. is it just a matter of taste or there's a damage reason for those variations? Thanks in advance for your help ! PS : With my Bleed Bow Glad i use Blood and Sand, with this one it's Flesh and Stone... Again is it a matter of taste or....? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Dec 2020 03:33 PM PST https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5/characters My PoB damage is about 700k and I am trying to figure out how to increase the damage on this build. As of right now, I have a hard time with many red map bosses. I followed a guide on Poe-vault (https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/triple-herald-blade-vortex-elementalist-build-guide), but I can't figure out what I need to scale the damage. [link] [comments] |
Crit damage and Resolute Technique Posted: 23 Dec 2020 11:16 AM PST I am having trouble understanding this build. I built it trying to understand Sunder better on my own and have come across what might be an error in PoB. I chose to use a Berserker for the build for damage reasons and chose initially to take Flawless Savagery and Blitz. The only thing about that is, I also took Resolute technique later on, but PoB is still counting FS and Blitz as damage even though I can't crit. Help me understand this. The build is not entirely optimized, as I was mostly messing around with the skills and skill tree. What am I missing here? [link] [comments] |
Fevered Mind opportunity cost (Cremation Necro) Posted: 23 Dec 2020 12:07 PM PST Planning my first ever archmage build for 3.13. I've been reading about nerfs to fevered mind jewel and most people think it's not worth investing in. This is the only place in my tree that can spare these 4 notables to convert into 10% mana cost and 20% spell dmg each, for a total of 40% and 80%... https://imgur.com/gallery/AGEwzgg ...but it costs 6 points, not counting the 2-point jewel socket itself. Also the converted Devotion notable is 8% life lost. So the question is, what can I get for those points? a lot of life, or a few more minor mana nodes, or even a small/medium cluster jewel. I think it's a huge opportunity cost and not worth it at first sight, BUT I've never played archmage and the total %inc mana cost of skills I get *without* this jewel seems rather poor in theory? 15% from tree, 10% from quality archmage, 10% from sigil of power (hardly always up), for a total of 35%, meanwhile the jewel alone gives 40%. Those who have played the build before, what do you think? can you compare a before/after the jewel nerfs? Does cremation actually need the increased mana cost? btw this would NOT use Indigon, because 1) already using Crown of the Inward Eye and 2) it seems rather dangerous and complex to cast exactly X times and then stop casting for 4 seconds, risking being out of mana while skill costs keep going up, I'd rather avoid that for my first try at archmage. Posted: 23 Dec 2020 11:26 AM PST Playing a minion build for the first time in years, looking for some help. Problems I have right now is sort of poor single target which may be due to my spectre choice (Auto Scouts), and beyond t16's can overwhelm my minions ability to clear fast enough and ends up with all my zombies dying and kinda turning into a shit show. I tried going necroaegis, but I went from smoothly doing most corrupted t16 with 20% delerium etc... to just getting horrifically one shot too many times that I respecced about an hour later, and tbh I didn't really notice a significant uptick in DPS output, I mean obviously I could tell it was more but I wasn't blown away. Im not 100% on my gem setup, I'd like to find a way to get vaal haste in there, im not sure if spending all these point for reduced mana reservation to run vitality is worth it. I was also thinking about using a doryanis timeless jewel which would give me about 2k es at the cost of five points or so on the tree but im not sure its worth investing in. Maybe an enduring cry setup? Im looking at other spectre builds on poe ninja and specifically looking at trigger setups, a lot of people seem to run desecrate, offering, + EE ability, I find having a self cast desecrate is nice as it gives me a ranged ability to sort of keep my triggers going at a safe distance if i want to, so I swapped it out for tempest shield. Not sure if thats a good idea? Im also using elemental army on zombies, im pretty sure that works? I dont see too many people doing that wondering if its worth it? Last thing is about feeding frenzy on spectres, Common knowledge seems to be its the best gem for clear but im not too sure about that or if it depends on the spectre. I know I just kinda autistically spammed a bunch of thoughts here but hopefully it helps me get some nice answers. Any advice is greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
