What are your favorite bossing starters? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 07:35 PM PST What are your guys' favorite bossing characters? I'm trying a bunch of playstyles out on standard before the new league to see what I want to start next league. I just tried Vortex, and while I see how it can boss, mapping on that build feels awful. What league starters have you guys had success with? How is their mapping? [link] [comments]

Ideas for Pure Lightning Shaper of Storms Self Cast Posted: 10 Jan 2021 03:37 AM PST Looking for any advice for a pure lighting self cast elementalist, ideally using Inpulsa and probably arc. Do you think stacking shock effect is worth it or just max crit? Are there better self cast lightning skills for a min max build>? [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jan 2021 03:29 AM PST As the title states really. I'm looking at tri-element elemental hit elementalist (Or maybe cold/lightning depending on rng and how good hydrosphere is, but that's undecided still), but have just realised that I have no idea how viable it would be as a starter. I'm not exactly looking to race for world firsts or anything so it doesn't have to be S tier, I just want to know if I'm going to shaft myself playing something incredibly slow to start scaling. Need help proofing burning arrow + blackflame concept. Posted: 10 Jan 2021 01:04 AM PST So I decided today was the day I would try and create a burning arrow build that would use blackflame. I am very happy with the gear and will keep it the way it is. I just would like help to double check my anoint and burning arrow link. This is my first time playing around with conversion mechanics so if there is ANYTHING that would just not work that is on my tree please let me know. Tri elehit elementalist wander with trinity. Quick mockup, please check my tree Posted: 09 Jan 2021 02:10 PM PST Hi all, this is what I'm thinking of working with: https://pastebin.com/Dsqj1PRY Swiftbrand is there in place of Trinity support. The cluster jewel can do a lot more than it is there, but I put something very basic in for SSF planning. Is pathing decent? Are the supports on ele hit looking OK? What auras would you use? Herald of ice/fire/ligtning and Hatred/Wrath/Anger only give additional damage on every 3rd hit, which doesn't seem very good. Maybe spellslinger setups would be good? Without the cluster jewel node spellslinger WOC and/or frostbomb would be good. Maybe ele weakness if you don't get a curse somewhere else. EDIT: Definitely want precision. I forgot that in the POB I would be taking both golem nodes, the aegis node and probably shock node. Was thinking I'd take Alira, but there is so much you want on the tree on an elementalist that 2 skills might be better. Being elemental ailment immune from golem ascendency makes it easier to use some interesting flasks. Is there anything better than wiseoak (especially if you can balance 3 resists) and cinderswallow? Probably anointing Divine Judgement/heartseeker/Command of the elements if golems are staying alive. Edit: This is a SSF starter build. In end game trade league you would be getting much more cluster jewel action, probably stacking a bunch of primordial bond nodes. thanks all. [link] [comments]
Wanting to try a new poison build. Posted: 09 Jan 2021 10:51 PM PST Salutations Exiles. Looking to do a new poison build. Whilst I enjoy poison BV immensely, I want to switch it up and try something different. Must be good at killing bosses and if possible some form of melee. Thankyou! [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Jan 2021 06:03 PM PST TR is usually a solid starter and I was considering playing it as a deadeye now that we've seen the rework. My thought process is that TR does well with attack speed so getting tailwind on league start seems nice. 3 mirage archers is pretty sweet since TR already uses MA for single target but we'll have to see how the detached MA's work for clear. I'm hoping that having 3 MA's in that multi-boss arena will help melt them down with TR and help with damage uptime when I can't sit and spam TR myself. For when I am spamming TR myself, the gale force buff of 3% less damage taken per gale force (so up to 30% less after 10 actions since you were last hit) will be a nice damage mitigation layer on top of wind dancer, and later on maybe Kintsugi. If there is some misguided thoughts in that, let me know, but my main questions are below: 1) Is the extra projectile as good for TR overlap as it seems? Most TR people use dying sun so I have to assume the extra projectile is good (the AOE from dying sun is nice too, but not nice enough for a whole flask slot). I've read a bit on it and it seems like the more AOE you have and the more projectiles you have, the more likely pods will overlap and cause their DOT effect on the target simultaneously. Since endless munitions uses to give 50% AOE, the extra proj might not even make up for that. I don't know. If it's a lot worse, the ascendancy didn't really gain much for TR besides the MA stuff which isn't even a sure thing if it's good. 2) I've played TR twice as a pathfinder which is great sustain for long boss fights. What is the best way to sustain in a deadeye TR setup? I assume leech will be lackluster with minimal hit damage. Regen doesn't really come naturally over there but I love having a good amount of it. Maybe enduring cry? 3) I'm thinking about incorporating a lot of enemy slowing mechanics for these boss fights. TR's hinder, skitter bot's chill, and then running Temp Chains (and despair) somehow. I might path up to those curse nodes since there is DOT multi nearby. Are there a lot of map bosses that are immune to slow that would make this pointless? Thank you all for any help you can provide! If you just have ideas about a TR variant tangential to this idea, I'd love to hear about it! [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jan 2021 02:52 AM PST Does anyone know whether the edges of arenas that "look" infinite or "ethereal", like Maven or Ritual, count for the purposes of Deadeye's new terrain chaining mechanic? The closest analogue I can think of is whether Kinetic Blast detonates on that same terrain; has anyone got any prior experience with this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2021 10:35 PM PST Hi! I just finished the 10 acts and i'm now enterring what seems to be the "big" part of the game, and that includes having decent builds. But here's the thing: I don't know how to build properly. My actual "build" is currently an improvisation of my own that looks a lot like this Witch Elementalist Arc Build that I found literally yesterday. So here's my question: how do I make a good build? What should I focus on? How much are Uniques important when building (the big difference between my build and the build I linked is that my build uses a wand that grant the Echo Support, while the "better", build use the skillgem itself. There's also a lot of unique jewel that I don't have so I hope that this thread will inform me enought so I can find good alternatives to these.) Thank you for the answers! (And sorry if I look like an absolute noob lol I just want to progress) [link] [comments]
3.13 Build Concept: Tanky WoC Ignite Elementalist (wall of text warning) Posted: 09 Jan 2021 02:51 PM PST Just a writeup and tree from Poe Planner. I've never tried Wave of Conviction as a main skill, googled it and found only one build, and not ignite based. I initially thought of a multi hit approach with unleash, but since the wave disappears as soon as you cast again, it's technically possible but at extreme close range, dangerous and not a good idea in the multi boss clusterfuck we have coming hehe. So, WoC has 220% effectiveness and a very high base damage, slow cast speed and exposure on hit, the main thing that sparked the interaction with the new Elementalist. Easy double exposure from reworked Mastermind of Discord, while Heart of Destruction will give increased aoe (fantastic for the wave to cover more ground and travel further) and 30% more damage on bosses, an extra dynamic link basically. Around 3K ele shield from Primal Aegis, and the Shaper of Flames node so all types of damage can ignite. What I'm trying to do here to take advantage is -you probably guessed it- get as much extra phys as elemental/chaos as I can, while keeping fire damage the highest so I get 25% more ignite damage from the same node. WoC has 100% conversion with both Divine Wrath and Divine Fury from the tree, staying at 50% fire and 50% lightning, and then we add herald of ash, added fire damage (these combined more than make the majority of the damage to be always fire), hatred, and taste of hate and atziri's promise flasks for some extra cold and chaos. Late endgame I can get a couple sources of phys as extra X dmg from gear. There's even a staff block node on the tree that gives 5% chance to gain unholy might (30% phys as chaos) on block, but seems kind of a waste, maybe I could get it too. So double exposure, EE plus storm brand - combustion and maybe later an elemental weakness on hit ring for a ton of lowered resistances. Basically apply EO and EE with brand, press flasks and hit Wave of Conviction for the huge ignite applied by all the elements at once. Ignite prolif or the prolif cluster jewel gives nice pack clear spreading the ignites, arcane surge, vaal RF on bosses and the typical spellcaster buffs of course included. Now defensively I went all in on the marauder tree to build it as tanky as I could, plus most of the fire DoT nodes, glancing blows and stun immunity through Unwavering Stance are there. Life, Soul of Steel, Call to Arms keystone for instant Enduring Cry, 2 end charges for the 5 needed to max Immortal Call duration, while also generating charges from Inexorable cluster (25% chance when hit) and leap slam - ecoms. Yes lol, a witch leap slamming around with a staff to get fortify... it's gonna be slow frog time, but I can get flame dash too. Did the math and with Kaom's Heart I get around 7K life at lv 90, max attack block and around 35% spell block -although glancing blows, yep- but with every other source of phys mitigation I think it won't be too bad. Add a basalt flask if needed. Lastly, only uniques would be Kaoms and The Searing Touch, replacing it late endgame with a rare crafted one if I can. Ideally a "Malevolence/Hatred reserves no mana" Aul amulet would be very very good for the extra aura, but expensive AF. So to start mapping just tabula, Searing Touch (usually pretty cheap) and rare trash gear will carry me through maps if the damage is enough. Aegis shield and decent all res/max res from tree passives go a long way too. Would love to hear your thoughts, I don't really know any WoC based build and never tried one before. Crackling Lance Elementalist Starter? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 08:25 PM PST Thoughts on title? With incoming buffs to CL will it make sense to pair it with Elementalist instead of Archmage/Necro? [link] [comments]
What should I upgrade to get decent damage for Uber Elder? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 02:22 PM PST So this is the current state of my uber tank build: https://pastebin.com/R6UBX1WG - I had to add weird amount of armor manually to actually get the real armor value in-game - 825k after single hit/block. What kind of upgrades should I go for here? I don't want to spend a lot of currency, but I do have maybe 20-30ex I could part ways with. The objective is to get DPS somewhere around at least 5m if possible. Ideally I'd want 10+ though. Shattering Steel feels mostly comfortable, but if Lancing Steel is the only way forward, then I'll obviously accept that. I also would like to get some ES somewhere if possible, but its not , right now it is tankier than before, but 7.1k ES makes some things a little more spicier than I'd prefer (tunnels/repository is still a bit scary - Sirus-wannabe-robots hit like a fucking truck, but now it takes them a lot more luck to kill me). Easiest thing I could think of is crafting another 3-passive large cluster, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make, I'm currently doing this regardless just because its cheap-ish. Reference build (that I had to change because some things are just either not available or out of my price range): https://pastebin.com/imT7jgqp - thank you u/AstuteKnave for the PoB. Posted: 09 Jan 2021 10:29 AM PST I played a crit BF/BB assassin in flashback for the first time and loved it. I was leaning towards league starting it in 3.13, but the new elementalist looks insane, especially with some type of crit/cold build with the chill and brittle effects. Just wondering if anyone else was thinking of something like this? Or are there better skills to consider? [link] [comments]

The Tactician Studded Belt + 3.13 Righteous Providence Posted: 09 Jan 2021 02:22 PM PST I know a lot of people are planning builds with the spicy new Inquisitor Ascendency, so I just wanted to alert you guys the incredibly strong synergy between this node and item because I'm pretty sure there are a lot of even veteran players that have forgotten this belt exists. I'm currently using it in some theory crafts for strength and int stacking on the Inquis and just wanted to give a shoutout as I'm sure there are other exiles doing the same! [link] [comments]
Cold to fire full conversion to take advantage of replica cold iron point Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:13 PM PST Hi guys, I'm super new to build making but while browsing the replica uniques I was wondering if it would be possible to use a cold spell like freeze pulse fully converted to fire with cold to fire support and 2 Pyre rings, giving you a huge +6 to cold gems. Do you think there's a build there or not really? [link] [comments]
Stone Golem Elementalist Siegebreaker Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:01 PM PST Hello, I've been trying to make this build works for years. Whenever the siegebreaker ability was a Necromancer ascendancy point, or when it became the belt. The damage was always there, but the clunkyness of the build was too annoying to make it work. Now, we that new point, that makes your golems revive 4 seconds after they die, I think we're at our closest to make it work. By using infernal legion and minion instability and Replica Siegebreaker. My issue atm is that 4 seconds is still a long time. Especially that they are going to die all at the same time, and 4 seconds without any golems = 0 damage. My fix is to resummon some golems when i enter the map, so that they wouldn't die all at the same time. Would anyone have any other opinion on how to make it even less clunky? Or any other suggestions about the build that I may be missing out? That would also make the Primordial Harmonies not essential. Which is good. [link] [comments]
“Fastest” class to take me to maps Posted: 09 Jan 2021 05:04 PM PST League start. No twink gear obviously. Which class is considered the fastest one to take me into maps? Anyone have a guide or link I would really appreciate it. [link] [comments]
Any good Spellslinger + Battlemage ideas? (leaning towards Bladefall + Blade Blast) Posted: 09 Jan 2021 02:38 PM PST It was just confirmed in the FAQ that Battlemage and Spellslinger will stack. What are some good spells to use this combo? I'm thinking Bladefall + Blade Blast would be great for this, Blade Blast with the Cast Speed and AOE would work wonders...but I'm not sure where to start for building this lol [link] [comments] |
