    Results from chancing 5000 unset rings

    Don't upvote, just posting for the sake of posterity / people's searches.

    I scour/chanced gilded shaper unset rings 5k times.

    12 rings became unique.

    Average was ~480 scour/chance per unique.

    Results:

    9x Malachai's Artifice.

    2x The Hungry Loop

    1x Profane Proxy

    No essence worms.

    Why do this?

    I wanted to check the economic viability of chancing Essence Worms that could be vaaled and have a corruption implicit mod and still be socketable of course (starting with gilded fossils). I used shaper rings just because it was a negligible increase in cost and people may care about eternity shroud crap.

    If we assume essence worm is around the same tier as proxy it can probably be done in in 10k chances, but not sure. It looks like hitting a worm, then hitting the implicit corrupt, then hitting the 50/50 on the gilded implicit would probably cost right under 1 mirror in current prices.

    This a dumb project but I have zero use for currency at this point in the league and will probably keep trying.

    Elevating "Unaffected by Desecrated Ground" Elder mod might be in need of a revision

    To my understanding it is the one and only mod which currently loses its primary function when elevated. (edit: as pointed out to me in the comments, burning ground elevation also does it) All other mods either enhance it or broaden the scope where it applies. (i.e. elevating unaffected by shocked ground to unaffected by shock still means unaffected by shocked ground)

    This is definitely not a bug, since the wording is precise and the mechanics apply properly. You go from "unaffected to desecrated ground" to "unaffected by poison". The new mechanic works properly. But now desecrated ground affects you.

    So this seems to be an oversight of consistency when it comes to the design philosophy of elevating mods. Not a huge fuss considering how much work has been put into it, however a fix (a retrospective one at that) to have the elevated mod provide unaffected-ness to both mechanics instead of trading one for the other would be appreciated.

    Loot from 8 hours of delving at 6k

    I was curious how delving compares to juiced mapping so I wrote down my bigger/large quantity drops from ~8 hours of play. This includes delving and mapping for sulphite.

    Delving strategy is: go toward all sulphur vents and grab all accessible fracs. Path no more than 4 cells out for bloodstained/faceted/aul. Path no more than 1 cell out for hollow/architect. All azurite is converted to 2 slot resonators.

    Went from depth 6635 -> 6812.

    Mapping strategy is: 4x 6% watchstone, primarily parks but some other high quant lex proxima maps because I can't fully sustain parks. Mix of polished/gilded scarabs, adding only self-found sac fragments. Skip anything that takes longer than 20 secs, including harvests.

    Loot is recorded at https://i.imgur.com/YJ7LYQ9.png. The cost for sulphite was 70 polished, 28 gilded scarabs, 560 chaos total. Subtracting this, the net profit was 204.5 ex

    I believe this league with how strong the atlas (including harvest tft) and heist are , and the amount of fossils dropping outside Delve, the latter has sort of fallen off. After u reach maps and try to grind your completion, by the time you are done, Delving feels like going back to the acts. It takes a long time to do a couple of delves to get some decent rewards (compared to the other sources). Also u can't just grind it because you need to keep going back and forth for Sulphite. It really turns me off that I need to do like 400 nodes to reach endgame loot in Delve when I can just stick to the atlas. I would rather skip Delve all together instead of putting up with the hassle (which is sadly what I did this league).

    I know endgame Delve rewards are really damn strong with auls and very rare fossils. But the rewards on the way there don't feel worth it at all right now. Heist for example and leveling rogues felt rewarding all the way through and never felt like a chore. I believe the easiest most brainless fix (which I know GGG aren't big fans of) is greatly reducing amount of jewel/armor/essence/azurite while buffing all other rewards. Even just the random reward that gives a bit of everything would be better. And also greatly increasing earlier Sulphite storage while reducing azurite costs so you can just do earlier levels faster but still need to invest for big cash.
