    Would any one be interested for a build guide for my league starter (Ignite Hexblast Trickster)

    I have been breezing through content and ultimatums and I found that many people are still struggling with it. Clear is good, its tanky (max ultimatum at 14+) and extremely good bossing.

    Viper Strike Occultist | Plaguesplosions | Mahuxotl's Machination | Take no light and cold dmg | Max chaos res

    Hi Exiles,

    here is an homemade build that has a very nice clear in Ultimatum (and elsewhere too !). With Viper Strike, you quickly fill Plague Bearer, then release it and watch as enemies explode !
    Demo video in T13, no regen : https://youtu.be/biZDtwkqwf8

    Features :
    * Plague Bearer + Profane Bloom ascendancy --> plaguesplosions !
    * Mahuxotl's Machination shield + Tempered by War keystone --> immune to chill, freeze and shock + no need of lightning and cold resistances !
    * Max chaos resistance
    * CwDT + Void Sphere = Ultimatum monsters are sucked into a black hole !

    Build on the forum, The Pestilent Viper : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2858969
    Current PoB link, level 90 : https://pastebin.com/hZcYXqLp

    Budget for mandatory/best items :
    * Wasp Nest : 1c
    * Mahuxotl's shield : 1c
    * The Embalmer gloves : 1c
    * 6L body : 60c
    * Lethal Pride/Rakiata : 1ex
    * Shadowstitch body : 1ex

    Good luck and have fun :)

    \* UPDATE \*
    Shadowstitch unique body gives you Recover 3-5% ES on kill. That's a full ES every 20-33 mobs, which is all the time in Ultimatum or juicy maps. It's almost 100% uptime for Everlasting Sacrifice (+5% all max res).

    Looking for a build that can take down The Feared

    Posted: 23 Apr 2021 03:33 AM PDT

    Hey everyone,

    Right now, i'm playing a LL Blazing Salvo Miner and feel like this build is not good enough for "The Feared", due to dying way too easily and not being able to frontload damage during the fight.

    Last league i was able to do everything but the "The Feared" Invitation. My personal goal this league (besides 36/40) is to complete this invitation solo. Is there a build that is able to do this pretty reliably? I don't care too much about budget, but the lower the better. The max i could go for is probably 20 ex.

    Thanks in advance!

    Coc ice nova assa or inqui? What are the main differences?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 10:42 PM PDT

    Hi, since these builds are played with coc ice nova, I would like to know what the differences are.

    Which one is faster? Which one has more dps? Which one is better to scale? Which one suffers from inflated cost since it is meta?

    I Actually just wanna farm some t16 and do all Simu waves. Maybe delirious maps at some point too. And heists (!).

    Who has made a ED/C character that's successful with T16+, 10 trial Ultimatums? Is it going to cost a lot of currency to achieve that? How about for bosses like sirus, shaper, UE?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 09:48 PM PDT

    I've read some posts about ED/C and it kinda bums me out that it seems like 95% of people make it seem like it will be like a zdps build vs bosses unless we invest a fuck ton of currency. I'd say I'm a below average player who gets around 15-30ex by the end of the league which is pretty terrible but I like being tanky which seems like ED/C trickster is and I'd like to clear fast in maps as well as legion. I started an ED/C character and now I'm near the end of act 2. Hope I made the right choice. Using Zizran's guide btw and since I like being tanky and hate dying, I'm probably going to use one of his max block ci glancing blow variation of the build.

    Why Raider for TR?

    Posted: 23 Apr 2021 12:20 AM PDT

    Noticed vast majority of peeps going raider for TR now, I didnt play during ritual so not sure if it was also the most popular TR ascendency of the 3 and I know they nerfed AoE but was that enough to push away from pathfinder and is the only good thing about deadeye the mirage archers?

    BFBB with extra survivability

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 08:56 AM PDT

    Hi all, I've noticed a lot of comments and posts about this build being squishy, especially in red map ultimatums. While some have suggested pushing more towards the Waggle version, there is a lot more that can be doing here. In taking some pieces from both Waggle and BigDucks versions, here is another take on it.

    https://pastebin.com/dZruJQtf

    Here we have 6.2KHP and 1.8K ES + 1000 phys aegis with 4.2M dps on 6 blades.

    I prefer to use 6 blades for dps, 10 is probably fine especially with adding conc effect in a 5L gloves, but 40 is overly ambitious for sure.

    Next, we're using a shield. You can go two directions here, survivability or dps. This version is focused on survivability, so The Ghastly Theatre is the shield of choice (dps should take Light of Lunaris, but it is still expensive). Why is Ghastly Theatre so good? The 1000 physical aegis is a significant boost to eHP, the raw armor bonus is pretty solid (about 5% phys reduction on its own), and it comes with blind while aegis is active) and cast speed and crit chance while not active. This allows you to save a gem slot and mana reservation from blood and sand. It's also a cheap unique and you can get a decent corruption (my favorite is phys taken as element for more survivability). Running a shield also lets you take shield charge / fortify for another big boost to damage reduction.

    You'll also notice blade blast is the only gem with quality here. That is not intentional, just because of costs at the moment. You do need to skip quality is for bladefall and conc effect. You can also upgrade to awakened gems at some point.

    The next thing to take note of is skipping Righteous Providence. This node is way overvalued once you get to lv90+ and have 500% increased crit from other sources. With a diamond flask you will get to a point where your raw crit chance from RP is more than your effective crit chance, that is when you no longer need it.

    In replacing RP you have to options, Augury of Penitence is usually about a 15% dps boost, or Instruments of Zeal. Zeal is almost unusable in any build, but here it actually works. Everything matters from it. You are generally going to be shield charging around the map and it will be up close to 100% of the time while mapping. You should also be using it to maintain fortify and move around in ultimatum and in boss fights, so it should be up 75% of time there. The absolutely huge boost to cast speed allows you cast bladefall twice and blade blast in under a second then shield charge to maintain fanatic charges and keep going. You will want to cast arcanist brand every few seconds as well, so that will drop you out of 100% uptime. This is huge, you need to actually play it to see how much better it feels. You are not stuck in place casting bfbb anymore. Your mobility increases an insane amount here.

    We don't have clusters in here right now because they are just a bit too expensive. The same for Doryani.

    I also want to make a note on the rings. It will be much easier to get life and mana gained on spell hit on two rings instead of one. Then you can craft +1 to minimum endurance charges on one or both. If you can manage to get assassin's mark on one of them, you get to open up a gem slot in your arcanist brand as well. The best option here is blade vortex. Every time arcanist brand triggers, a blade circles you as if you casted it, it feels a bit strange to me. Each blade vortex blade that is detonated gives you 35% MORE aoe for blade blast. I usually end up detonating with 1-2 at most and each blade blast effect covers about 75% of the screen (ultrawide). If you don't have the mark on hit ring then keep assassin's mark there as the dps boost is way more valuable, especially for bossing and ultimatums.

    For the amulet, there are many good influenced modifiers you can aim for, fire dmg leeched as life, phys as extra fire, fire pen, +1 gem levels, crit multi. Just balance this with your resistances. The anoint preference is Heart of Flame. Light Eater is fine as well. Diamond skin is just a fantastic budget option.

    For gloves, drop conc effect until you get a shaper pair with faster casting on them.

    If you can't live without flame dash, swap out enduring cry or get an unset gem and put enduring cry there so flame dash has arcane surge.

    If you want to keep pushing this further you have a ton of options as well. Cluster jewels, Doryani, triple multi sword off-hand, double influenced amulet, etc. Just be careful to drop too much survivability.

    Smite Inquisitor a viable starter build concept in Ultimatum? I've been away for awhile, but an Elemental melee Inquisitor using the "Holy" theme skills seemed like the vibe.

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 04:52 PM PDT

    I've never been one to hardcore follow a build guide, or honestly progress much farther than T5-6 maps... wonder why, right?

    If that's where I end up it's honestly chill, but I thought I would reach out for any insight to help it along.. Uniques that help it, other skills or support combos that work well, passive nodes to work toward, etc... I've only run it to lv 20, but it's fun enough so far using holy relic, sometimes a dab of righteous fire for the consecrated ground (thinking of putting it on a totem), and yuh.. sword and board right now, but I imagine a 2h would be a lot of fun.

    A Tankier Vaal Burning Arrow Build

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 12:05 PM PDT

    For those struggling with the survivability of Vaal Burning Arrow, here is a tankier version with:

    - Acro/Phase Acro

    - Wind Dancer

    - Divine Flesh/Xibaqua (80% chaos res)

    - CWDT Immortal Call

    - Flesh and Stone

    - 66% evade, 50% phys mitigation, 50%+ attack/spell dodge

    - 43% phys as cold/15% phys as chaos

    Note that this is not cheap and we do take a decent hit to DPS, but I like the survivability better and we no longer need Dex on every piece of gear (just 1 strength roll for Immortal Call)

    COC Ice Nova Assassin vs Inquisitor Early league

    Posted: 23 Apr 2021 12:05 AM PDT

    Last League I played COC Ice Nova Assassin and it felt great. It really popped off after around 30-40ex of investment.

    This league I want to play any form of COC Ice Nova a little earlier. I've seen that a lot of people are also playing Inquisitor. Is it easier to gear and/or just tankier? How does the damage feel on it?

    CoC Cospri Hierophant

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 05:57 PM PDT

    Was thinking about going CoC with agnostic (indigon + cloak of defiance), and I've seen most people take the Scion route with templar node + pathfinder or assa node; wouldn't it be better to do pure hierophant instead? What are your thoughts about it, is it dumb or a worth to explore route?

    Kinda sick of playing TR, is there a comparable build in terms of ease of play and clear speed?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 10:39 AM PDT

    I've been league starting TR since delirium, it's good no doubt about that. Too good some would say, I can't find something that comes close in terms of return on investment.

    Bonks are a pain to play, mines are annoying but playable, ED is terrible at boss killing. The only one I could see compare is BA elementalist, but it's so expenssive it's not even an option for a second char.

    So I got a couple exalts, and I want to reroll into something that is as good or better than TR raider. As a luxury, explode would be nice but no necessary

    arc or mines for ultimatum?

    Posted: 23 Apr 2021 04:19 AM PDT

    i'm not thinking about end game, i'm just focusing solely on this one league mechanic which would be better traps or mines. if eel like the extra trigger button for mines could kill me, like ED+contagion has done to me in the past(that split second between ed and contagion) so i would assume that traps would be smoother since they can trigger several times and doesn't need a button to trigger it.

    or maybe there are better builds to go with idk. i always die to some bullshittery in ultimatum because they just zerg you down and you have to react extremely fast to whats happenening. also my first reddit post. lol

    Is it worth taking some Spell Block over Life nodes?

    Posted: 23 Apr 2021 12:29 AM PDT

    I'm playing a Flameslinger build this league. I was wondering if I should unspec some of my life nodes (6 small nodes) to spec into Arcane Guarding for some spell block.

    I thought it'd be worth it since I'm also getting more ES (60% inc ES from shield), and I have 1% ES for enemy killed (Brush with Death in cluster).

    Below is my PoB. Thanks for the help!

    Also, any please feel free to give any suggestions for improvements to the build!

    Ultimatums ripping through my minions (SSF)

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 10:19 AM PDT

    I've finally gotten through the acts with Dominating Blow (been a busy week, so I didn't get to play much), I noticed it a bit while leveling, but mostly avoided the mechanic, but now that I'm trying to do ultimatums more, I am struggling to complete them. has anyone else been experiencing issues with the mechanic on minion builds? is there a solution, or is a reroll the likely best route to go?

    *note: the issue is only with the league mechanic, I can rip through maps and bosses like paper still at this point, but when trying to do the league mechanic, my minions are getting shredded.

    **secondary question: if a reroll is the best option, what are the best builds to go easy on the wrist? (work has been killer on my joints lately) I mostly chose Dom Blow because I've played it before and it's a pretty relaxed build.

    Posted: 23 Apr 2021 12:17 AM PDT

    Hey guys, Im playing a flamewall kb slinger and im not sure if i should invest further in this build. Im scared to hit a wall soon, where the build doesnt scale higher. My plan was to transition into ba.. but im not sure anymore.. because of the prices and how squishy it is.

    Looking for a build to transition into where i can invest the rest of the league. Last league i was playing bb bf asassin ä, invested 150 ex. Was the most fun build i played, but dont want to play the same build.

    Looking for a build with explosions and some visual clutter

    Posted: 23 Apr 2021 02:24 AM PDT

    I want to move on from my league starter. Any recommendations for a cold or fire themed build that has a lot of pops and explosions? I always liked stuff like CoC, but i'm a bit tired of the various variations of CoC Ice Nova, even if the sounds and visuals are great. Played self cast Blazing Salvo inquisitor last league and it was fun, so was thinking if there's anything you'd recommend that's similar to the two examples. I have 9ex to work with.

    How do you leech energy shield with Soul Tether (Immortal Ambition) after the nerf?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 10:30 AM PDT

    Hey guys.

    My dumb ass brain can't, no matter how many times I read the lines in the patch notes, understand how energy shield leech with Immortal Ambition works after the 3.14 nerfs.

    Could someone smarter than me ELI5 the mechanics and what mods I would need for it to work similarly to pre 3.14 nerfs.

    The Life Leech effects Recover Energy Shield instead while on Full Life stat is now limited by Maximum total Energy Shield Recovery from Leech instead of by Maximum total Life Recovery from Leech

    Combined with the Corrupted Soul Keystone and the powerful recovery source of life leech, it provided too great an increase to a character's combined recovery.

    This change preserves the desirable Life Effects not being removed at Full Life aspect of the Keystone, but limits how easy it is to recover your Energy Shield pool.

    Other than Vaal Groundslam, what are some other strong directions for a Hateforge build?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 05:23 PM PDT

    Hey mates,
    I'm considering an alternative take on the gloves rather than the most obvious choice of Vaal Groundslam.
    I would like to narrow down to a good competitor, ideally.
    I considered, descending by interest:
    Vaal Double Strike - personal favorite, zoomy, snapshots(which should be nice with Zerphi's Heart) and likely insane single target but lacking in AoE.
    Vaal EQ - Zoomer option, but I think the soul prevention could gate this from proper usage. Good synergy with General's Cry.
    Vaal Spectral Throw - Did get buffed and the circular AoE should make it great for ultimatums. Possibly a little slow to unwind though?
    Vaal Lightning Strike - Possible to get a lot of VLS out with only a mere 20 soulcost. Also, got buffed. Duration equal to soul prevention. Quasi totem playstyle.
    Vaal Glacial Hammer - counter ultimatums with frostwalls. Maybe?
    Vaal Ancestral Warchiefs - great and flexible but lacking +1 totem shield hurts and limited by number of totems
    Bow Skills - Buffed but not really inspiring.

    Mind if I hear your opinions on the matter?

    Exsanguinate worth to expand on this league?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2021 09:32 AM PDT

    Hello,

    I just returned after many leagues and wanted to try exsanguinate as my main spell, searched for guides and was kinda stuck with spellslinger

    Long story short.. After a breeze through the acts after act 2, I'm here at tier 3 maps (don't play much atm, as I play mainly wow) and don't know where to go from now on? Should I switch to self cast? Should I switch my spell to another one, maybe even reroll? I feel like I lack a bit of tankiness (maybe it's league mechanic in itself) as I just teleport around and spam some kb to trigger everything and anything that hits me, could kill me

    If I can keep it (either self cast or maybe even spellslinger as I lime the playstyle) what would be the next step to either bring dps to another level or up my surv as I'm not used to be that squishy that early tbh

    My char:

    https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Ragnakh01/characters ulti_ex would be the latest toon :)

    In a side not, still a bit tight on budget so just about 50 chaos I believe

    Ty in advance guys
