    Meant to put a gem into my chest plate accidentally took off my chest plate instead. Then had to buy a 20c astramentis, then spawn all of my 16 minions. I hate my life.

    My game takes minutes to adapt to areas and new characters. It wasnt like this 6 weeks ago

    I am looking for help here. I took a break from PoE for about 4 weeks and installed it again 1 week ago.

    Ever since then, the games performance is _alot_ worse than before, and I dont understand what happened.

    I just cleared a Simulacrum with Character A until wave 19. Performance was 'ok'.

    I knew wave 20 was too hard so I switched characters to Character B. I entered the Simulacrum and as soon as the first action on screen began, my screen froze for 5 seconds. I lost the first Portal.

    I entered again - same thing. Repeat until all Portals are gone.

    I go to Blood Aqueduct and keep running it. First run my Frame Rate jumps up and down between 0 and 60 every second. After about 3 runs, the game runs 'ok' again.

    I swap back to Character A, go to Blood Aqueduct and my Frames jump up and down again every second.

    This is how my game plays for the last week. The screen freezes are out of control.

    When I enter Boss Fights, I have to run around for like 10 seconds until the lags are over.

    It usually gets bette rthe longer I play, especially if I just stay on one character. But even besides those really bad examples that occur every single day, the performance overall in literally ever single map is just so much worse than it was 6 weeks ago.

    I emptied my cache last week and nothing has changed.

    I added "--waitforpreload" to my .exe and nothing has changed.

    Graphic Settings are all lowest possible.

    Vsync Enabled or disabled changes nothing.

    I play on DirectX11 because Vulcan is worse.

    Bloom 85%.

    Lowered target frame rate to 25, nothing changed.

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

    Intel i5-7600K

    All drivers are up to date

    I am kind of lost because right now, the games performance is just so incredibly terrible that I get frustrated constantly.

    In my time off I played a few other games and I did not have any problems _at all_ in those games.

    Anyone know something that woud improve my performance? Or is there nothing I can do?

    What bases are good for cold/fire/lighting chaos spam?

    I am looking for non-meta depended bases for harvest chaos spam for next league.

    For now I have:

    • Caster - ring - curse on hit
    • Chaos - quiver 84+ ilvl - life T1, dot multi, res
    • Defence - shield - > 400 ES
    • Life - small life cluster jewel - Feast of flesh
    • Physical - Crusader chest 85+ ilvl - explode T1

    My First Elemental Hit bow that I have crafted

    I have spent about 55ex in total to get this baby to almost perfect stats.

    I spent about 500 alterations with some bad luck annulments to get the +2 Additional Arrows.

    Used an imprint, then I started with the annul and try to get +2 socketed bow gems. After MANY imprint/annul failures, I got the T1 elemental damage, so I decided to move on with that.

    Imprinted it again and then I used a Regal orb and depending on the affix I got, then I used the Prefix => Suffix or Suffix => prefix beastcrafting. This was the very expensive crafting part, this completely destroyed my currency.

    At some point, I lost all hope, 35ex wasted, I was broke, still not having a decent 3rd affix/stat on my bow. I picked myself up, washed off all the salty tears and kept on grinding for more currency.

    During this time of grinding, the prices of the Imprint beast went up by 40c. They used to be 70c when I bought them and now they were at 110-120c, that made me even more sad but I wanted that bow!

    Got about 20ex, bought the beasts for the crafting and keep on crafting. Then I got a T2 attack speed on the bow and I played around on CraftOfExile and saw that I can get a fairly good dps bow if I can get Aisling to give me a good affix with her T4 Veiled crafting. I had Catarina ready, so why not.

    Got the Veiled on my bow and I got 0 elemental hit stuff. Went back, used imprint and started over.

    On my 3rd last Imprint beast, I were broke again, I had 10c left, I finally got the +2 socketed bow gem.

    Sold extra leftover items I had, farmed for more currency. Completed the crafting and tried another Aisling T4 and she gave me double damage.

    This was one of the most stressful and exhausting crafts I ever done in any game. I still need to decide of it was fun/worth it, or just buying a bow for 50ex that does not have all the perfects stats but still has good DPS. I might in the future just craft a decent bow and sell it and buy a great bow.

    Elemental Hit Raider is very fun but it requires a lot of expensive items if you want to get to that crazy 40mil dps range.

    Next league start I will try a Caustic Arrow Trickster, crafting that bow is a lot easier.
