Elemental Cyclone? Starter viable? Posted: 06 Jul 2021 12:43 AM PDT Are there any Guides/PoB (beside poe.ninja) for a Elemental Cyclone? It seems like Raider + Voidforge are the way to go but are they even starter viable? [link] [comments]
Righteous Fire Juggernaut Questions Posted: 05 Jul 2021 10:52 PM PDT Hi guys. Last League I played a RF Inquisitor and had a lot of fun. But for end game content he was not tanky enough for me (even though I had good items). So I want to league start with a RF jugg this time. Not really sure if jugg is really tanky than Inquisitor? At least when looking at some POBs it seems so because he have more mitigation. On poe ninja most guys play with Kaoms Heart and not Flame Wall. Only some people play with Flame Wall as RF jugg. This is the thing which bothers me. Why they do that? Do they just don't care about bossing? They usually use a 3L Scorching Ray which shouldn't contribute very much to boss dps? Bossing without Flame Wall on my inquisitor felt like shit and when looking at the numbers inquistor and jugg are about the same dps wise. So I assume that boss dps without a 6L Flame Wall will be shit aswell. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jul 2021 11:55 PM PDT I'm starting SSF next league and I'm having problems figuring out, what "threshholds" my League Starter should hit to not be a "failure". I know, builds are different (Dots can have lower DPS, because they have better uptime etc.) but I feel like every time I put a "SSF" Build into PoB or change one up to be SSF-Viable, I feel like it wont be good enough to even hit red Maps. Or am I just too spoiled by the "godlike PoB Build with 13 Million DPS with affordable Gear in Trade"? At what DPS-level will I at least be able to kill the first Awakener (more or less comfortably)? Judging tankiness in Path of Building Posted: 05 Jul 2021 02:45 PM PDT I've been playing for years, but I always follow build guides and have never really made my own character before. I wanted to try this league, and make my own build for once. For a true judge of tankiness, what part of the Effective Health Pool box should I be focusing on? Is maximum hit taken more important, or Effective Hit Pool? I've been playing for a while, so assume that I can reliably avoid slams/die beams/similarly dangerous stuff. Does leech get factored into the EHP box? What about life/ES regen? What is considered "facetank it all" numbers for maximum hit taken/effective hit pool, whichever is more important? I'm usually pushing the hardest content, but I don't feel the need to go swimming in Sirus's degen balls or facetank his meteors. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
3.15 is the league I want to take group play (somewhat) seriously. I need help picking a role. Posted: 06 Jul 2021 04:06 AM PDT A friend is wanting to do ice spear totems as carry, I'd like to run full MF and I might have someone able to aurabot. Firstly, I've no idea if I've spear totems are even good for a carry but its what I'm working with. Second, as culler, I don't need a lot of damage, just very good coverage. What skills would work the best for this at low investment and with basically no non-mf gear? I'm likely going deadeye for chain etc so something like split arrow should be decent right? Third, can this setup still work if there is no aurabot in place? [link] [comments]
Looking for a starter build that can afk farm elder Posted: 06 Jul 2021 03:51 AM PDT I'm looking for a league starter build that can afk farm elder after his first phase. I like farming elder, but I really dislike the add phase in the middle. I'm thinking some sorta minion build. I'm willing to league start as one type of build, and then respec the character into the afk elder farmer after a few days. Any recommendations? [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jul 2021 11:01 PM PDT Its weird how this unique is so rare, costing at least 1ex currently at the end of the league. Poeninja brings up exactly 0 people who use this item. If were dual wielding two of these, thats 400% spell damage and 40% on top as chaos. Its pretty obvious to discard this unique since to push damage to any standard usually relies on some sort of interaction or spec into crit, but with such large numbers, there must be a hidden interaction. Even maybe just as a leaguestart strategy, surely we can push some sort of multi-mill dps with using these two wands and some small investment. Any ideas? Should this wand be reduced in rarity since no one uses it? [link] [comments]

Akaizerx or any Ball lightning hiero build as a starter Posted: 06 Jul 2021 01:51 AM PDT Hi, would like to hear your opinion why is it or is not a good build for a starter next league. [link] [comments]
Noob witch lvl34 looking for help/advice :) Posted: 06 Jul 2021 01:47 AM PDT Hi all! Noob exile here, level 34 witch, with 7/8 passive skill points and 4 refund points. I haven't spent any points in the last few days because honestly, I have no idea where to go next in the skill tree, what to specialise in, etc. As of today I use OoS to activate EE + flammability for debuffs and fire wall as my main skill. Fire skeletons minions to "support" damage. I'm quite lost and would like to know which way to go. Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/dSY7p1ZH Thanks in advance !!! [link] [comments]
Is Righteous Fire as a SSF (non-HC) league starter? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 01:14 PM PDT Disclaimer.: While I cannot enjoy hardcore myself, I understand the appeal. I'm only looking for a SSF option, though. --- I was thinking about starting out in SSF next league, and I also wanted to try RF since long. While I have seen some people say RF is a budget/league-start options for trade league, other people seem to say otherwise, and I'd like to know how that translates to SSF? While I was doing some research I saw that many different ascendancies can run RF. Since I'm only a casual player I don't mind suboptimal bossing/clear speed, in fact, the tankiest option is preferred (I really hate dying) edit.: just realized there's an "okay" missing in the title - it was meant to be "Is RF okay as a ssf, non-hc league starter?" Posted: 05 Jul 2021 07:22 AM PDT During the second half of the league I decided that I wanted to try a CoC Ice Spear build, but didn't want to go full meta with Barrage or Tornado Shot. I then saw fastAF's video on using Lancing Steel to proc Ice Spear, and found it quite interesting. But because his build was using full uniques for proof-of-concept (and his builds are typically in the very expensive end, which I can't afford) I decided to grab the concept and make changes to it so that it better fits my playstyle. What made this build super fun was the sheer amount of projectiles being fired. Without GMP Lancing Steel was shooting 30 projectiles (with Dying Sun), and Ice Spear was shooting 9 projectiles per volley (with Dying Sun and helm enchant). Even if only 1/5th of Lancing Steel's projectiles proc'd Ice Spear I was still looking at 54 Ice Spear projectiles being shot. I made a forum post detailing the build w/ PoB links and would love to hear some thoughts and feedback on it. Two final notes:
Thank you, and have a nice day! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit: Recorded some videos of the gameplay. The forum post has more details on each run. I do want to point out the beginning of Atoll as a clear illustration of this build's dependency on Power Charge. It takes me a few casts before I start landing crits and therefore nothing dies. t15 Toxic Sewer (has Delirium mirror) [link] [comments]
Templar Storm Brand league start Posted: 06 Jul 2021 12:47 AM PDT Hello all, fairly new player here, 3.15 will be my 3rd league. Want to try out a Storm Brand build next league, debating whether to go hiero archmage or inquisitor. Which one is easier to league start with and easier to get the initial gear with? Noticed in poe.ninja that inquisitors do cold conversion, why is that? [link] [comments]
What Should I Run After Loving Cyclone? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 05:07 PM PDT I'm a new player and this will be my third league. I've played Cyclone both leagues because I love the natural movement to it. It's time to move away from pure physical or at LEAST play something that isn't Duelist. What should I try? If you have an ssf suggestion, I would also be interested. I know playing SSF will force me to learn big boi crafting. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jul 2021 02:23 AM PDT I know the patch notes are not out yet but what do you think is gonna be your league starter? I am thinking about a general miner ( arc, BL or sth ) or a spellslinger, probably kinetic blast fire wall [link] [comments]
Are Mines builds still viable? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 05:24 PM PDT Hi all.. I have never played Brand or Mines/traps... I was curious if there are any builds you would recommend that could be league started, I want to try a few in SSF before the next league to get the feel of it. Are mines something that can legit do most content without mirrors upon mirrors of investment? I was looking at the following guide but not much of leveling section, so was curious [link] [comments]
Builds that reduce the build up of getting wrist pain? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 04:44 AM PDT I had to stop early in the league due to wrist pain and I didn't want to cause myself any serious damage. It's not an issue I've have with any other games, other ARPGs included, so I'm putting to down to the amount of clicking. This upcoming league I was hoping to try a build that I could enjoy without causing myself a lot of wrist pain. If it doesn't work then I simply will have to stop playing the game full stop.
I already have all my skills bound to my keyboard, and my flasks to my side mouse buttons so I can fat finger them all at once with my thumb. I only use left click for force move/arcane cloak (and other 100% uptime skills), and then I have my movement skill on right click which I now will probably have to change. I will probably have to change my left click to space bar via my keyboard software. Ideally looking for a build where I don't have to click with left or right mouse button too much.
The only build I can think of that could help limit the amount of clicks I have to do is minion builds. I have played these a lot however in past leagues so I am wondering if there's other alternatives. Most builds I have played recently have the action bar full of skills meaning I have to use my mouse clicks.
I am more interested in being able to play the game without pain than I am about being top dog or anything. I would like to be able to beat Sirus with it, but that would be my limit. I beat him on awakening level 2 for the first time last league, so I would like to o that again if I could. If that's not possible without playing a click heavy build etc. then that's ok.
Thank you for your help :) [link] [comments]
Flameslinger help! (mainly Elemental Equilibrium) Posted: 05 Jul 2021 08:35 AM PDT I plan to start flameslinger in 3.15 and am interested in the mechanics of EE as I never understood it. I've done some reading and understand how Malachai's Artifice works but I don't want to use it and would rather have a rare ring instead. I have seen that some people play Elemental hit instead of Kinetic Blast. From what I understand EE doesn't proc on dot damage and flameslinger deals mostly dot damage so isn't it enough to put storm brand after hit? Doesn't this mean that playing Elemental hit is unnecessary? Any help would be appreciated :) [link] [comments]

Odd Necromancer with Offering skills, but no minions? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 09:24 AM PDT Ever since I read about Mistress of Sacrifice in the Necromancer ascendancy, I have been obsessed with the idea of creating an odd necromancer that uses offering skills to buff themselves, possibly completely ignoring minions and instead going full for corpse-based or life-based skills and offerings. However, I struggle a lot ot make it work. The three offering skills that are given through skill gems are interesting, Bone Offering for a block-based character, recovering life when blocking. Spirit Offering, well, I guess that it could be huge because it frees up affixes on gear that would otherwise be needed for resistances and if one goes for spells that deal physical damage, one could profit a lot from the additional damage as extra Chaos damage. Flesh Offering is kinda meh if you don't use minions, is it not? I mean, both movement speed and cast speed are huge, but I don't how one could fit in so many offerings into one character because they consume a lot of corpses. What intrigues me most, is Blood Offering. It is granted by Bloodbond, an unique armour, and boosts life regeneration by a lot. Since Spirit Offering also works well with physical damage, I thought about going for Reap and/or Exsanguinate and creating a life-based block build. Now comes my main problem, however. Bloodbond is the only opportunity for 6L, since one also uses a shield for blocking, but one also has to use or trigger Blood Offering somehow. This means that when one reserves the 6L for triggering and boosting offering skills, one basically loses the only opportunity to boost damage by a lot using support gems. Are two support gems enough to boost your main damage skill? Doesn't feel like it it. Maybe casting Blood Offering manually could be the solution, then there would be one 6L for the main skill. Has someone an idea on how to proceed with this or other thoughts? If you know someone who has done this in 3.14 successfully, please share a link, videos welcome! I couldn't find much of use with quick searches, only some ideas and concepts from PoE Ninja. To summarize some main points and to add additional ideas:

Anyone with a good updated pob of Low-Life Aura Golemancer? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 03:08 PM PDT I had one but unfortunately i had to format my pc, so i lost all my preparations for the next league. [link] [comments]
3.15 poison holy relic guardian? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 08:44 AM PDT Do you guys think a poison holy relic build could work? I am not sure what would be the best ways to grant poison chance. United in dream + lesser poison? The grasping mail breach armor also gives the poison chance to minions. Love to hear any thoughts and a pob if someone has a similar character. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jul 2021 11:47 AM PDT my first build I tried to do, I didn't test is probably trash but if someone is interested there's the link https://pastebin.com/hikJBJvG [link] [comments] |
