    Minor Update - subreddit rule 5c) Engine Issues Require Performance Metrics

    Hi guys, minor update here.

    As I previously commented, after the 3.14.3 Engine Patch goes live, you are required to have your Performance Metrics visible when posting a screenshot of a graphical issue or system issue on PC clients. This excludes purely gameplay-related bugs or crashes/kicks to desktop/login screen. As stated in the 3.14.3 engine patch notes,

    Like before, you can cycle through the three Performance Metrics states (hidden, FPS/performance, latency-only) by pressing F1. In the settings file's [UI] section you can set performance_metrics_state=fps (or =latency or =hidden) to set the default state.

    This is mainly to ensure that issues reported here at least have some helpful details and will cut down on bandwagon-y screenshots. As before, please ensure you check the Tech Support and Bug Report sections in the forums for duplicates, and to report there first. Including DxDiag/PC specs and/or WinMTR is appreciated for additional diagnostic information. Posting an issue on the subreddit will not guarantee any response or follow-up from GGG's tech support.

    Hey guys,

    we wanted to publish a tech update to filterblade before the league launched to ensure that everything is smooth sailing once 3.15 goes live.The latest FilterBlade update supports a new feature (a few more will come before league launch):

    Custom user-based presets!

    Presets are technically "saves". However, a save can include several presets. When a save loads, it will grab the latest version of the preset and implement it's changes. That means, you can have your "basic" style abstracted into a "preset" and then reuse that one across all your saves. Or make presets for specific builds. You can also use presets for tiering. Or whatever modular changes you want.

    There's also a "leaderboard" for the most popular presets.

    You can create presets in the save/load tab, similar how you create saves.

    On top of that you can browse the public presets on the frontscreen of FilterBlade and share these with other users ( https://imgur.com/vMx5dn8 ). Presets have a tag system, allow searching etc.

    Oh and I've also added the Azurite style. I intended to publish it together with the other styles for 3.15, but accidently forgot to remove it ¯\(ツ)/¯.

    GGG, plz add Corrupted blood immunity to Slayer's Endless Hunger node.

    When 3.14 hits and CB is made to be separate from bleed, you updated PF's Master Surgeon node to include CB and bleed, but Endless Hunger wasn't, for some reason. It's already an unpopular and relatively weak node in the class, it doesn't deserve to lose immunity to Corrupted Blood.

    Edit: Also Master Surgeon is still a horrible node that I wish get some meaningful rework/buff, but that's a topic for another day.

    Water effects tank FPS

    As my title suggests, wanting to try out the new engine improvements i decided to do a single map. Noticing at random times my FPS would start to drop for no explicable reason. That is until i noticed a small stream of water flowing throughout the map. I got curious and just started following the stream and noticed my fps drop stayed consistent throughout until i decided to move away from it again.

    Which lead me to the conclusion that it is likely water effects are causing some considerable fps issues on my PC (and probably others aswell).

    It is possible that certain other types of terrain might cause similar issues, i have not bothered to find them however.

    This is on a RTX 2070, i5 9600k, 16gb ram at 3200mhz (iirc)

    My golemancer found an Angler's Plait

    It dropped from the ultimatum lootsplosion in a tier 1 coves map.

    The only fishing gear I am wearing is a corrupted slitherpinch. My Chaos and Lightning golems are in my helm are linked with feeding frenzy and chance to flee, my Stone golems are doing the killing.

    So it is possible for it to drop if your minions are the ones applying chance to flee and killing those fleeing mobs.

    Hi guys,

    As the new league is getting closer, I'm trying to learn more about making my own build, hoping to break the meta.

    I'm a Softcore Trade league player and I've noticed that nearly all of meta builds and those of popular streamers revolve around doing as much damage as possible. Which is not necessarily a bad thing in itself, but they often neglect survivability.

    So I guess my question is, what do I need to know about defenses and how can I balance out damage & defenses properly and still be able to clear all of the end-game content?

    Which melee classes can have great layered defenses and good enough damage?

    I understand that all of the classes can do whatever and pick whatever passives or gems they want, but the truth is, some are better than the others simply due to their position in the passive tree.

    For a summoner how many of you guys use cluster jewels? I can see blessed rebirth being important for minions like skeletons. But would like to use most of this points for cluster jewels for life. Curious how many people use them?

    The new league will involve exploring and defeating enemies within areas marked by skulls and flags. Flags may contain loot icons similar to Legion or Blight. There will be several new NPCs to interact with.

    I had to stop playing poe, because my gpu is low for high end game and died many times so i had no reason play for a while. Finally I built a new pc, and gpu prices is getting low. So i would like to get your recommendation for it. I am wondering about rtx 3060 or if i can find a 3060 ti. I could buy 3070 too but i guess overkill. Or would be enough get a 2070S or 2080S

    Red CPU questions

    Greetings,

    patched PoE, ran it, and CPU is red. No real performance problems, but still it is the weakest link.

    I have an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz

    The thing that bothers me is that the task manager shows a solid 25% of CPU used, no matter how "intense" my PoE gaming gets. Multithreading is enabled in PoE, I even tried setting the priority of the process to High, is there anything that can be done to give more cores to PoE?
