    Path of Exile Builds Trauma-stacking J U G G (100-200 stacks)

    Trauma-stacking J U G G (100-200 stacks)

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 02:39 PM PDT

    Hey everyone!

I recently posted a proof of concept for a trauma-stacking Juggernaut that I have been working on.

I finally finished it up and wanted to share it.

While /u/Mathils did post something similar recently, this takes the Trauma stacking a bit further.

To start off, some notable highlights:

    - Tanking Shaper slam and beam

    - Disco life globe vs Drox

    - Pre-ramped Baran kill (sub 10 sec)

    - Ramping damage on a Synthesis boss

    - An expedition logbook

    - The ultimate self-harm

The pros of the build are:

    - Ramping damage (if you are into that), from ~6.5 mil at 100 stacks, ~15 mil at 150 stacks, and ~30 mil at 200 stacks.

    - High life regen (realistically ~25k per sec)

    - High survivability (90% physical damage reduction, 66% up time on Immortal Call, Fortify)

    The cons of the build:

    - Ramping damage... Starting out on a boss can be painful - Same goes for mapping

    - Ramping life regen

    - Struggles with a lot of map mods - No (mana) leech, no regen, No stun, -res (as we facetank a lot), to name some

    - Risk of suicide if you get unlucky with incoming hits when ramped too high

    My verdict:

    - This is more like a vanity build. If you like the concept, and the playstyle of a bruiser, the build feels really cool, BUT

    - It does not do high-end bossing very well. I have done Shaper etc., but failed to do The Hidden, as the ramp up is just too slow for such a high pace boss fight..

Right - If you are still around, lets get to how the build works:

    - Divergent Boneshatter gives 1% attack speed per trauma stack at 20% quality

    - Using Enhance and Dialla's Malefaction we can push the gem to 60% quality, which then gives 3% attack speed per stack

    - Each Trauma stack counts as a buff for the purpose of Mantra of Flames

    - Our stacks now each give 4% more damage (from a lvl 20 Boneshatter), 3% increased attack speed, and 5-12 added flat fire damage, so all we need is to S T A C C

    - Trauma stacks have a base duration of 6 seconds, which is extended with various sources of skill effect duration to ~18 seconds

    - Using a Brightbeak, with a base APS of 2.1, we can reach around 150 stacks on average, giving us 600% more damage, 450% AS, and 750 to 1500 flat fire damage, which is pretty decent.

    - Problem: We now take 150 * 256 = 38.4k physical damage every time we hit. With 150 stacks, we have ~15 APS, which means we take 38.4k * 15 = 576k physical damage per second...

    - Solution: The massive skill effect duration lets us have permanent uptime on Enduring Cry and a high uptime on Immortal Call. Using Warcy Buff effect from passives and a Crusader shield, the buff from Enduring Cry makes each endurance charge give +3% physical damage reduction. In combination with the Unrelenting Juggernaut ascendancy node, each endurance charge now give 8% physical damage reduction.

    - We achieve 80% physical damage reduction with 10 endurance charges (3 base + 3 from tree + 1 from ascendancy + 2 from rings + 1 from warlord boots). We get the remaining 10% from a Warlord amulet, and the Gruthkul pantheon.

    - We further reduce the damage taken using Fortify (20% less) (from a corrupted Brightbeak or support gem), and Arctic Armour (13% less). This results in 0.1*0.8*0.87 = 7% physical damage.

    - As a result we "only" take 576k*0.07 = 40k physical damage per second. This is reduced even further whenever Immortal Call is up.

    - Using the Unbreakable Juggernaut Ascendancy node, we get 15% of physical damage prevented as life regen (when we average out each regen instance). We prevent 576k * 0.93 = 535.7k physical damage each second, meaning we get 535.7k * 0.15 = 80k life regen (After sustaining 150 stacks for 10 seconds).

The rest is history, and can be seen in the PoB https://pastebin.com/8YqSTezE .

Note that the Mantra of Flames interaction with Trauma stacks does not work in PoB, and has thus been hard-coded into the Dialla's Malefaction.

Hope you enjoyed this write up, although it got a bit long.

If you are interested in running the build, or have suggestions for improvements, let me know.

    Share your Utility Setups

    Posted: 25 Aug 2021 01:39 AM PDT

    Hey everyone.

I was looking for a place to find some interesting utility setups, andonly found forum/reddit posts from a few years ago.

Share your useful, interesting, niche or quirky utility setups here. I'm talking setups typically in the range of 2-4L setups utilising support gems such as power charge on crit, onslaught, curse on hit, blind, knockback, etc.

Also interested in hearing peoples' thoughts on the position of cwdt guard skills? I'm not running one this league, due to the mana cost nerf. I'm interested in hearing if others have also foregone cwdt guard skills, or if they managed to make it work and how.

Storm Burst Juggernaut w/Aegis Aurora and Nature's Patience - Surprisingly Good!

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 08:46 PM PDT

I wanted to share my current build - a very tanky variation of something I built after being inspired by That's Real Neato. Aegis Aurora, Cerberus Limb, and Nature's Patience cluster jewel, plus a channeling skill to take advantage of standing still. Determination for armor, and Juggernaut to get freeze/root avoidance, endurance charges, extra armor, chaos res, and life regen. Leap slam with faster attacks, accuracy gem, and fortify to move around more easily and pick up fortify.

The damage output is not extreme, but it's been enough. The mapping is ok, but not zoomy. But standing still and tanking the whole screen is very nice. Max block with 700+ES on block, good regen, high armor, endurance charges, max res, blinded enemies, and good/max chaos res makes most things pretty easy.

I'm only level 89 and still tweaking it, but recent adds are global blind on hit for more avoidance, plus onslaught boots for faster casting. I'm trying too get a little more damage for toughest fights, but so far T16 maps are fine and 40-60 deli on found maps is fine. Conquerors are fine. I can facetank almost anything, but not everything... moving a bit usually helps.

My gear gets the job done, but could be better -- esp. the body armor, jewelry, and passive jewels. More auras or Aspects could be nice, but not sure if they are worth it.

    POB:

    https://pastebin.com/NfMighAK

Let me know if you have any suggestions or questions about the build. I think it might be my build for the league unless I get really rich and can get a tanky zoomer.

[Help!] Path of Building API import missing half my gems, other half are completely random.

    Posted: 25 Aug 2021 02:59 AM PDT

    Thanks for dropping in!

As per the title, I hate to bother any public community with technical queries but google is yielding literally nothing.

Whenever I import my character into Path if Building, it will import the items correctly, and some of the gems I have set up, but then others are completely made up and random. Gems in my gloves I've never used and don't own. Missing skills all over the place.

I've tried to reimport the character several times. I really don't want to have to go through each individual item and manually set all of my gems and links one by one.

Is this an issue for anyone else? Is there a known fix? Am I being a total plonker? Find out next time on Dragonball Z.

Seriously, if you read this far thanks so much. And better yet if you have an answer, I owe you one.

    Cheers.

CoC Badge of The Brotherhood Slayer. Can this work?

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 11:50 PM PDT

    Hi, guys.

This is a very simple concept of maxing all charges by going slayer and badge of the brotherhood.

    PCoC would generate the power charges;
Charging Ofensive node combined with Scold's Bridle would generate the other 2 as the cost of aprox. -800 life leech per second. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEm2LQblMpA&t=3s)
But a Slayer with 5k HP can generate something between 2.5 to 3k of life leech per second.
With some high dodge and evasion, plus physical damage reduction from the endurance charges, I think this 800 DPS taken wouldn't matter that much, as it also would just trigger on a critical strike, so it's possible to Cyc all the way without killing yourself if there isn't any enemy nearby.

Here is the PoB so far: https://pastebin.com/BTFmRGJq
I don't expect to level this build beyond level 95.

Have anyone tried something like it yet? Does it look viable?

HELP: My build does a fraction of the damage of a build I followed even though they seem identical

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 05:23 PM PDT

Just like the title says, my build does ~300k total damage while the build I followed does over 2m damage even after I removed all jewels and armor from the build I followed. My tree is identical to the other build other than a few times where I chose more damage over life because I like the idea of glass cannon builds. Please tell me what I'm missing because I'm completely lost. I'm pretty new to the game so excuse my horrible gear.

    Strength Stacking Slam Totems

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 11:37 PM PDT

I have started a strength stacker because the idea of slam totems sounds fun.... and it is.

I just need some help understanding why people are using a lead sprinkler with a iron fortress?

The iron fortress turns strengths bonus adds 3% melee physical damage per 10 strength. But why use it when lead sprinkler is the main source of damage, which is fire damage no physical. What's the link that I am missing?

Build with the new melee totem

    Posted: 25 Aug 2021 03:15 AM PDT

I don't recall what it's called, but I recall a totem that you can attach a smash skill to.

Are they any good? Are there any viable builds?

Looking for something beginner and ssf friendly that's used this new combination

    Eye of Innocence shenanigans

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 11:04 PM PDT

    Salutations Exiles

I'm looking at making one more meme for the league, likely involving an Inquisitor using Eye of Innocence - Ngamahus Flame, ignite spellcast loop with Firestorm and Rolling Magma on CWDT Loops, with a regular 6L damage dealer in there somewhere, perhaps Normal Vaal Fireball. Now I'm aware of the changes and feel I could offset with Life stacking and Blood Magic Mortal Conviction. Likely Aura would be Anger or Malevolence if scaling Ignite damage. Stacking hybrid Life ES to benefit from Pious Path and perhaps Battlemage with Searing Touch. The idea would be to offset the damage taken with big dick life regen, and utilising Energy Shield pool as main hits taken, and Regen that with bulk Endurance Charges (which can assist with using several Uniques for resistances). Battlemage with Martyr of Innocence perhaps. I haven't scoped out the details too much but would likely utilise Instruments and Augury Ascendancy nodes also.

Now this build may be dead this League, I haven't had much time to look into it but it could make for a fun project to see the league out, even if it only means farming yellow maps with a firey walking simulator.

Appreciate any suggestions or advice, if it's dead, it's dead, but Battlemage has to account for some shenanigans right?

Edit: I mean Ngamahus Sign sorry

LF help from minion players. Elegant Hubris jewel with double Slum Lord node, worth using?

LF help from minion players. Elegant Hubris jewel with double Slum Lord node, worth using?

Like title says, the points circled in red are the ones that are being changed. It would cost a total of 4 points to get 160% increased minion damage, and I would have to respec the current points since all the other nodes are trash or not worth taking. Checking in pob, that would be a massive dps improvement (from 314k each to 366k each), I would have to fix my intelligence and most important I would lose around 300 life even respeccing points (from 4929 to 4614).Anyone playing a minion build and taking those nodes could give me some spare advice please? :)EDIT: this is my path of building https://pastebin.com/FJF7SJHF

New player trying not to be ZDPS aura necro

    Posted: 25 Aug 2021 01:51 AM PDT

Hi, I'm new enough that this is only my second league and first time at T15 maps. I was on a cold conversion build but kept dying so swapped to auras because they were suggested to be tankier. I'm now not dying but it also takes me a minute or two of running in circles around a map boss to kill it, so I'm a bit worried for if I get to a Sirus fight or the later conquerors.

My current pob is here: https://pastebin.com/B4fEbA4p

My attempt at a budget fix with mostly gear I have is here: https://pastebin.com/PnPdwSSf

I have around 3ex but just don't know what to invest in. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Feeling overwhelmed about next steps to improve base build

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 07:10 PM PDT

I am stuck in a pattern where I get builds to the T11-13 map range and then reroll because I am confused about what my next steps should be to improve the build. The things people are doing for their builds on poe ninja just seem so much more advanced that where I'm at that I feel like I'm constantly missing smaller easy wins that can be accomplished to get to those end points. I don't mind doing research to figure new things out so long as I don't feel like I'm aimlessly googling things that might not even matter. I hit a point last night where I was just aimlessly running T12 maps since that's all I can do on my current build and ended the session thinking what the fuck am I even doing at this point?

Are there any strategies/steps that anyone could recommend that they typically take once they get a build to the point where the skill tree is mostly filled out (pre cluster jewels), they have their gem links setup, and have basic gear?

Here is my pob if anyone is curious: https://pastebin.com/0QGKqeMR

Currently playing totems str stack and wanna swap into something else. What are good marauder str stacking builds?

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 10:37 PM PDT

I am currently playing totems str stack and wanna swap into something else cause I am tired of placing totems to attack.

    I have around 1600 strength.

I have 6 L iron fortress and obviously tukohama would be swapped.

I have around 10 ex to tighten and change the build + probably a lot more if I sell scarabs/fossils/random currency.

Which version of rain of arrows to use? (Vaal, divergent, anomalous)

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 10:35 PM PDT

As title asks. Which version of rain of arrows is best for endgame? Have been using vaal rain of arrows but find that it only storing 2 charges makes it not very useful.

Using rain of arrows mostly for mapping/clear whilst using iceshot/barrage support for single target.
