Lost my first Sirus fight - is this typical?

Been playing 3 months, have a lvl 93 pathfinder, finally made it to Sirus, got him down to about 10-15% life but I lost. Half my deaths were just me kinda learning the fight mechanics. I didn't look it up ahead of time, I just jumped right in. Is this typical? He is pretty hard. I feel like I could beat him now that I understand the fight mechanics, having done it once.

Edit: Really appreciate all the support from everyone. I did not expect to get this many responses. Thanks for all the good advice, and even though losing the fight was disappointing, all of the support from you guys has really made me feel better about it. Cheers to all!

Been playing since Delirium and every league I struggle to kill Sirus

I burn through conquerors, I can kill shaper and elder, but the Sirus fight I swear to god I'm at like a 5% success rate

Add on that it takes god knows how many maps to respawn him. i absolutely fucking hate him. his final phase is fucking stupid, it is hard to see what the hell is going on because the entire arena is shades of black and dark red. I fucking hate this stupid fight

Poe is a very detailed game!

After watching preach gaming play Poe with no help at all, I realized that Poe is really diverse and detailed. To me all mobs are very similar, you just 1 shot them and move on. But after watching preach play, I realized that there is a huge mob diversity.

Each act zone is different and has an unique boss and it really makes each zone feels fresh, at least to a new player.

How poe approaches skills and support is super interesting as well. Each support makes the different and can make the skill unique

Overall I think GGG does a really good job with the game and we should appreciate them more
