    Delirium scaling

    Posted: 08 Sep 2021 11:36 AM PDT

    Delirium scaling

Ok, so i did some tests on delirium maps to find out monster's damage/survivability scaling.

    TLDR table:

Delirious Increased damage Reduced damage taken
    20% ~7% ~19%
    40% ~13% ~38%
    60% ~18% ~58%
    80% ~24% ~77%
    100% 30% ~96%

Method: just took 1-hit skill without damage spread and went to the reflect map (without mods that could interfere with the calculations, i.e. Point blank, vulnerability)

    Here is skill stats:

the character have 90% phys overwhelm and 0% damage mitigation. 0 leech/regen. 0 tethers on target

    Monster's damage reduction scaling:

Delirious Damage dealt Map mod reflect value Reflected damage taken Monster damage reduction
    20% 2001 19% 307 19%
    40% 2001 19% 235 38%
    60% 2001 19% 159 58%
    80% 2001 19% 87 77%
    100% 2001 19% 15 96%

    Monster's damage scaling:

Based on Goddess Beam damage (Orchard map boss)

Delirious Damage taken Increased monster damage
    0% (normal) 3812 0%
    20% 4070 ~7%
    60% 4506 ~18%
    100% 4955 30%

Here's dev manifesto that proves 30% inc dmg at 100% deli.

    Drops from 20 Maven

Had a great time, see you guys next league.

    Posted: 08 Sep 2021 10:03 AM PDT

I had a great time this league. First league where I was able to kill Sirius, all the elder guardians, shaper and almost the maven. I've made a total of 5 different characters, leveled them to at least level 90, crafted my first good usable item ever and even managed to farm up a headhunter belt

I've noticed the nerfs, it was hard AF, but that made it more challenging to me. I didn't mind.

Last week I was playing and slowly lost motivation. I've achieved everything I wanted, I'll give maven a new try next league probably.

Interacted with a lot of players and haven't even encountered one asshole. Even made a new gaming friend along the way.

Thanks GGG for the nice league, I enjoyed it very much. Thank you to all my fellow players for all the trades and nice discussion in General. See you next league!

For those who haven't checked; today's Uber Lab is only 6 rooms

    Posted: 08 Sep 2021 12:17 AM PDT

    There's no golden key either.

So looks like today's a pretty good day for you lab farmers out there.

There's also 2 Darkshrines on the main path; for those of you who need an extra boost for getting your Ubers done. Argus is also on the main path; so even without detouring you can get an extra key.

    Loot from 105 Mavens

    Posted: 08 Sep 2021 01:58 PM PDT

I've ran 105 Mavens on A8 and here are the results. It took between 2-3 minutes per run, so somewhere around 6 hours total with trading. Build used to run this was a standard FR totem.

    TLDR:

    Total cost: ~100ex

    Total returns: ~ 167ex

    Total profit: ~67ex

    BREAKDOWN:

Writ prices were consistently 0.9ex-1ex during the project, even when buying in a 10+ bulk. I haven't picked up any belts or any boots, only documented watchstones that were 10c+. Probably also missed a few helmets.
Longest loss streak was 9 runs, longest win streak was 5 runs.

    Sextants: 48 dropped (9,6ex)

    Orbs: 33 dropped (150.4ex)

    Watchstones: 6 dropped (2.5ex)

    Helmets: 24 dropped (4.4ex)

    Armor: 0 dropped (0ex)

    Drop rates were:

    Sextants - 46%

    Orbs - 31%

    Watchstones (good only) - 5%

    Helmets - 23%

    Armor - 0% (lol)

Better watchtones included +1 oil tier, extra div.card from boss and generic beyond/pack size/currency ones.

I've ran these across 3 days, and on the 2nd day around run 60 it felt like there has been a noticeable decrease in drops. There have been 20 runs where I've only dropped 3 orbs. It's probably just bad RNG though and the 30% orb drop rate still seems rather lucky.

I've also recorded drops run-by-run, you can check out the sheet here if you want.

Overall I'd recommend doing this. Runs don't take long and don't require too much investment or setup. All the drops sell very fast except maybe watchstones. It also seems to be a pretty consistent profit. The fight is also pretty chill if your build can handle it, you can do something else while farming. 0 armors during 105 runs is pretty weird though.

Why the campaign isn't as fun as mapping

    Posted: 07 Sep 2021 08:43 PM PDT

I was just listening to the most recent Fated podcast, and yet again the topic of being able to skip the campaign, level via other means, etc came up.
The question of why the campaign isn't as fun as mapping was half-heartedly answered as "maps are more challenging" or "my build isn't working quite right yet in the campaign" but a lot of the sentiment was "I'm not quite sure, but it just isn't."

My thought is that the core gameplay loop between the campaign and end-game is very different.

In maps, the goal is largely to kill everything (most things). This lets you gain experience, currency, progress your Atlas, etc etc.

During the campaign, the goal is to skip fighting in order to run in a straight line to some mcguffin & then rush back to town to touch a yellow "!".

Skipping all of the content isn't as fun as engaging with all the content.

    Just my two cents.

GGG, where the harvest change recipe? (and poeprofit tells me it's 50% to get either frag)

TOP 1%, what's your motivation for playing POE?

    Posted: 08 Sep 2021 07:24 AM PDT

I've been listening to recent community podcasts and noticed that some power-players prefer only the strongest meta-builds (one of two per league), they usually invest into them hundreds of ex and clear with that all content in game within a few days-week after league launch. So the game for them no longer present any challenge, nor it can give any arbitrary goals, but they keep playing - why? I'm wondering why you're keep playing POE after "completing" all that game can give you?

Im going for a minion damage, hypothermia, +3 minion gems helmet for spectres but I hit this with my awakener orb. Will it sell (and I start from scratch again) or should I just continue with the fossil spam

    before the fat lady sings

    Posted: 08 Sep 2021 10:00 AM PDT

After finishing challenges on Monday, I decided to spend some time with Tujen and 'farm' a +3 victario's chest to round out my aurabot (cards were just added so these are attainable now, just in time for them to never matter again). https://i.imgur.com/mbKOHph.png This is particularly cool because with an empower 4 and an Awakened Generosity 6 you can hit level 10 Awakened Generosity, which gives +2 level of aura gems. This makes the chest give 10 levels overall, which gets you close to the level 32 breakpoints of Wrath (% light), Malevolence (duration and % dot), and Hatred (phys to cold; the % cold is 29). Zealotry has a big breakpoint at 33 (% spell damage), so with a +1 sceptre, +1 int gems on neck you can hit all these (though it means you need +5 gloves to replace sin-eater, but it's the end of days, so let's splurge). End result in flask form for the POB warriors (including Purposeful Harbinger) is below. Based on my current sparker, this is only about 80% of the damage upgrade of a similar support in Ritual that didn't have +5 gloves or a +3 chest (so like 100 ex cheaper), and 40% of the same in Heist. This is not (nor is the sparker) fully optimized and there's tons of ways to build these out, but that's where I'm leaving it.

    Crafting help

Making shoes is all the rage nowadays so I've tried my hand on it. Started by elevating a shaper ailment avoidance (worked on first try) then elevated the bleeding mod on some hunter boots (worked on first try, the other option was pierce). Used an awakened orb to combine them together and got the pierce projectile prefix. Kind of unexpected and nice but don't really know where to go from here.

My original plan was to reforge life more likely then hopefully aisling slam for movement speed or craft it myself. But ideally I'd like to try and keep the pierce for quality of life. Now I'm thinking I should just go prefix cannot be changed and try and annul with a 1/3 chance to remove the extra armour and evasion then try and aisling slam with a 1/2 chance to hit the correct mod. I could also go Aisling straight off the bat with the same 1/3 chance but I also have a 1/3 chance to completely fill up all my prefixes and that means harvest reroll prefixes.

    Any advice is welcome.
