Gauging Community Interest to Create a Seismic Trap Full SSF Playthrough

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 11:23 AM PDT

Greetings Exiles! Hope you are all having a great league so far. Personally, I've achieved all of my goals for the league (ALL UBERS DOWN BABY) and I'm looking to start something new.

I'm the guy who made the Seismic Trap Flow Chart for league start (https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/umrhyi/seismic_trap_league_start_upgrade_guide/), and it had some great reception.

I'd like to become more involved in the subreddit, and I'm making this post to gauge the community's interest in me creating a YouTube / Twitch channel dedicated to a SSF playthrough of the build.

Inspired by BalorMage's old series "Working Class Exile", my self-imposed restrictions would be:

    - Solo Self-Found only

    - Brand new account, no purchased stash tabs

    - Max playtime of 2 hours per session

I would upload each full 2-hour video uncut so you can see every step I take, and there would be a 5-10 min summary included at the end of every video for those who just wanted the TLDR of that day.

If there is enough interest, let's say 50 upvotes for this post, then I'll start up a channel this week. Let me know if this is something that you all would find beneficial!

For reference, these are my Seismic Trap characters from the past two SSF leagues:

    Archnemesis (Phys Crit):

How to move forward with crafting this thing for TR build?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2022 09:55 PM PDT

How to finish this sceptre for RF? Playing ssf if that matters.

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 02:19 AM PDT

Another request for help selecting a new build.

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 02:49 PM PDT

So I have been playing PoE for quite some time, but I only really play about 1 league a year, maybe less. I started with Ziz/cArn's Boneshatter slayer on a whim. Made it to t16s and struggled through a couple bosses. Not really enjoying it anymore and any upgrades seem to be quite a big investment at this point, Ashes, mageblood, etc. I'm sure I could make it work better if I was a better player. Made it to 95 but I die a lot in anything juiced.

I'm looking for something I can invest currency in for the rest of the league probably that can boss better. Something really tanky that can do damage without having to stand still and be in melee range.

I've got about 50 ex to invest. Can farm more if I need to, though slowly. For reference favorite build I've played was a Vortex Cold dot occultist back in harvest league.

3.18 - LF best Atlas Trees to pursue all challenges

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 12:37 PM PDT

Due to work load i'm starting late into the league.

I wish to finish as many challenges as possible, but i'm time constraint and still a bad player more or less. Currently i'm rocking an Arakaali build which i'm focusing on as my main aproach to make currency and get the challenges going.

If you suggest some different build for specific things, i'm all ears.

My main question would be, are there any Atlas Trees which have been established to complete certain aspects of the challenges?

Is there any Atlas Tree i should focus on when i'm starting out right now, to complete as many challenges as possible on the side as i go for map completion and finishing the Atlas Boss story?

Are there certain Atlas builds i need to switch to after my initial mapping phase, which encompas as many aspects of the challenges?

So in short: what kind of Atlas Trees would you suggest after the fact if you already have done some, most or all challenges.

I would appreciate if we could gather some Atlas Tree builds here, or if you could be so kind to point me to some already collected resources, as i'm a bit OOL on the League.

Aethroz's and vironlawck's guides/infos i already have on my radar and will dive into later, but maybe there are some specific challenges which could be done simultaneously to minimize respeccing or which should be included "always" because their grind needs to be progressed as much as possible because of rng or something?

Any tips, hints and experiences you can share is very much appreciated to lessen the grind necessary.

    Thanks Exiles!

    Looking for more autobomber builds

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 01:11 AM PDT

I've played a bunch of autobombers, and i want to find more. The ideal would be one that 1) is fast, 2) can use attribute scaling to reward investment in a significant way, since that's likely the strongest scaling in the game rn, while 3) using an aegis aurora and high es/armor to not constantly die.

Here are the ones I've played (unfortunately, for a number of these as I got bored with them I stopped saving the PoB, so most of these are a few levels before I switched out of them and most don't have great DPS with my very garbage gear, but they were all fun):

    • HoT assassin (this is the stereotypical bomber. It's perfect except made of tissue paper)
    • HoT elementalist ignite (using discharge ignites for bossing). NOTE: 3.13 build, but I'm sure it's still viable, just too slow. POB: https://pastebin.com/uNCw1grA)
    • Instant lightning warp elementalist ignite ft. fireburst. This build has a weapon swap for bossing, for Flames of Judgement to proc a bigger ignite, but it's really really scuffed, as I was screwing around with some other ideas at the end that didn't do that well. Not strong enough as is for good sentinel juice, unfortunately, but beautiful clear. POB: https://pastebin.com/ccXJv3qi
    • Corrupting fever hidden blade ascendan, POB: https://pastebin.com/98S9mqyn (I don't have videos of mine, which was MUCH tankier and I think similar damage, but used a reap/cf double 5-link to help with bossing). Here's a video of similar gameplay tho: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8HnOBaMLt4 (I made this after seeing Palsteron's poison Hidden Strike build in 3.16 and thinking that it would be mechanically easier to build with CF than with poison, but after making it I realized that other people had done similar stuff and looked to their mostly youtube videos for inspiration).
    • Ward loop self chill, POB: https://pastebin.com/H2tKC9Bw
    • Explode rf (CaptainLance has a version of this, and several other streamers do as well)
    • Death's oath (haven't played this in a few years, no idea if still good)
    • Pure shield charge ignite (this is a super cool build that I only got up to about 200k dps with. I didn't like how clicky it was, though. Palsteron has a min-maxed version of this from a few leagues ago. This is my crappy version with cheap gear: https://pastebin.com/ytVQMH5n

Other bombers I'm aware of but haven't played:

    • Toucan saqawals avian twister (doesnt appear viable since 3.16 but i really want to try it).
    • Vortex herald of ice occultist
    • Kay's burning legion skitterbits

Of those I played, my favorite was the hidden blade CF character, which was pretty tanky and fast but capped out around 1.5mill shaper DPS and struggled hard on invitations (but could level doing nem3 farm a few leagues ago). Ward loop is great but too many things can instantly kill your loop now, I think.

Do you know about a fun, fast autobomber? Please tell me about it. PoBs would be great.

Looking for advice on an attribute stacking build to pair with mageblood

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 02:10 PM PDT

I decided I would gun for a mageblood for the first time this league, and I just hit it this weekend! I've just been playing RF all league and am now looking for a new build to min max to close out the league.

I've always liked the idea of attribute stacking, but have never done it. I see two clear ways forward: an int stacking wander, or a dex stacker (maybe with spectral throw). Both look pretty good to me, but I think the wander might just about creep ahead - I like spells. That said, spectral throw dex stacker looks great too. I'm not sure how to compare the two, so am curious whether anyone has any insight to share here?

I have ~60ex to spend left from my grinding (maybe another 40-60ex or so if my RF gear sells). Is this enough to get either of an int/dex stacker off the ground? I'm looking to buy a solid set of gear that I can then work on upgrading incrementally. My starting gear doesn't need to be perfect, but ideally it would be good enough to clear relatively heavily juiced content (when paired with the MB) so I can grind out the upgrades.

One final thing - are there any good resources/guides you may know of for how to gear an int/dex stacker from scratch?

Thanks for any and all input!

    Looking for a tanky build

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 11:42 AM PDT

    Hello

I am looking for a good melee build with realy good tankyness (i prefer tanky than dps), i am playing an arakali occultist build but i'm bored with the gameplay.

I'm nostalgic of the Hybrid's Molten strike jugg build for the investement i put in it (around 15ex). I never feel this safe since then.

I currently have around 10-12 ex and looking for a build feeling safe, melee if possible. I see that Accuracy stacking LS Jugg seem tanky and cheap to start but can't see the level of tankyness the number look good.

Anyway i'm open to suggestion thanks =)

I need help calculating my actual DPS and appreciate pointers at upgrading my build further

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 10:59 AM PDT

Hey, i've been playing Unearth/Cremation for a while this league and actually managed to get lvl 100 with it.

I always had something to upgrade but now i kinda hit a wall and dont know what to further do, Maybe some of you guys got interesting ideas and takes on my PoB.

Also i would like to know the actual dps i have, because thats been kinda a mystery to me the whole time. I rather suck at using PoB and i kinda am lost using it.

I appreciate all the help i get!

Heres my PoB of my most recent gear/character: https://pastebin.com/qDt5skaa

Looking for review of my perspective POB for Occultist Raise Spiders build

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 03:20 PM PDT

Hello! This is my first time playing Spiders. I am looking for anything obvious I did wrong or any other clear improvements.

    • The build is targeted for mapping only. No end game bosses will be attempted
    • The POB is designed based on what I believe I can afford with my current budget. For example, I know that Enfeeble/Temp Chains is worse than Despair/Temp Chains so I understand to upgrade that when I can afford. Similar with the large clusters being only 10 passives instead of 12 passives.
    • I am using Vitality to help mitigate the difficult ground effects this league
    • I have two desecrates. One for cyclone to help Sprit Offering, and one separate to help spawn Spires with Divine Ire.

Thank you for any advice you can offer

Lightning Strike Raider - can’t seem to handle bossing despite high investment

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 07:45 AM PDT

This is my poe.ninja page with POB link

Essentially, I have this mageblood from friend who unfortunately quit the league early, and I decided to use it strictly defensively. The flasks I use vary based on the boss/content, but usually include the fire, lightning, and cold flasks, as well as a granite flask.

POB suggests output of ~6mil dps.

I've tried Uber Maven and Uber Cortex. In both cases I got clapped back to Lionseye Watch.

I come seeking your expertise and how I might be able to optimize this character to better handle bosses. Assume infinite budget the lower is better of course.

Hands of the Hight Templar Curse priority? Despair internally is "Vulnerability"? What the..

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 08:52 AM PDT

So i'm trying to buy Sirus gloves with Despair, found good pair but it has Elemental weakness. Which comes first?
I Found multiple answers and came to conclusion that they are alphabetical BUT i also found out that despair is internally called "Vulnerability" and Vulnerability its "NewVulnerability". So so despair alphabeticly starts with V? So 'Despair alphabetilcy comes after Elemental Weakness?

I tested it out with cheap EleWeaknes and Despair gloves and despair doesn't work.

Am i right and its alphabetical but Despair and Vulnerability have different internal names? or something else is the case?

Need advice on build. (i suck at builds)

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 02:43 PM PDT

So I was following a Pob-vault build, and well It was shit...I guess the idea of the build was to enhance auras, but I was just super squishy...

Changed a few things and the build I'm using now can do alch'd t16's, the only boss i've tried so far was screaming invitation and it worked fine, died like twice but that was because I didn't know the mechanics.

My problems are, I want more tankyness, I'm really low on armor for some reason..and I feel like I don't have enough defensive layers. Just not sure what route to take tbh. Also, damage is lacking. I'd like to have at least 2mil shaper, Rn i'm at 700k-800k. (side note: My flasks feel absent most of the time, and that affects my movespeed which slows the whole build down..any ideas on how to fix that would be great).

Here is the POB: https://pastebin.com/hFJ5YL5N)( My budget rn is around 8.5 ex to buy or make any changes needed.) Thanks!

    Looking for a "lazy" build

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 02:43 PM PDT

I looking for a "lazy" Build

With this i mean:- have a close to 100% Uptime with my DPS- a "drop and forget" mechanic (2 Brands on Boss, Ignite, drop Totems, big Hit (Bleeding), Minions with Predatorand after it, i can run circles and need to repeat it after aroud 4-5 Sec. maybe 1 Curse or Mark and a Debuff or gain Charges etc.)

    - it dont need to be a tank- around 2-4M DPS on Cheap/Crap Gear- straight forward Gearing (unqie heavy)- Target is Boss (Shaper, Elder, Guardians + Invitation

I would be happy if it a bit more off meta so no DD or Explosive Arrow pls

LF for sc ssf build around mageblood

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 02:26 PM PDT

So... I gambled mageblood from gwennen and really happy right now, but have no idea what to do with it. I'm currently playing ignite DD and got quite tired of it, so I was preparing to do EA ballistas champ and to push it for uber content, but with mageblood I'm not sure it is optimal choice.

What ssf build would you recommend that gets maximum out of mageblood? I don't think I have any strong preferences other than that I don't like RF

P.S. I also have melding of the flesh that I think have some synergy with mageblood

Build to lvl to first 100.

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 02:21 PM PDT

I'd like to make the push to 100 for the first time. I've got a 93 champ, and a 91 deadeye. Don't tell anyone but I decently enjoy lvling new chars so I could start again if there's nothing between ranger and duelist. If I sold everything I'd have probably close to 90ish ex including my Omni. Currently playing a TS Omni based on PoMs guide with 1150~ omni. It blows shit up and is super fun, but with 2 kids running around I'm constantly distracted and dying, like multiple times every map.

I'm kinda ok with pretty much any build, I'd consider myself pretty casual and I absolutely love PoE, so there's tons I haven't played and I'm sure I'd still enjoy anything.

I'd like to also be able to do sim30 if possible, not immediately, but with more than the initial gear I buy.

In case anyone thinks it can be fixed to be tanky enough to hit 100 in, I'd be fine with that too. https://pastebin.com/FNe7R5LH

If Inquisitor gets changed / nerf would elementalist become the new RF character ?

    Posted: 19 Jun 2022 02:08 PM PDT

So I have played a few RF builds but current Inquisitor with pious path just makes it soo easy to sustain. However seeing how popular it is this league I assume it might get some changes or nerfs.

If this happens would the new thing be to run RF on elementalist ? Using stone golems for regen, flame golem for increased damage and the AOE from heart of destruction ?

Or would there be some type of low life trickster build that would take the lead ?

    Thanks
