    Armageddon Brand

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 03:10 AM PDT

I've noticed that even with nerfs, storm brand has been insanely popular this league. Arma brand however appeals to me much more visually. Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent guide and also, is it still viable?

Bane still gain bonus damage and duration if re-applying curse?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2019 10:43 PM PDT

Does anyone know if Bane still gains the increased damage and duration if it is re-applying a curse to targets? I have been running a Whitchfire brew flask for the increased damage overtime but it also gives a despair aura which is a curse that I have linked with Bane. I'm already at 3 curse w/ despair/enfeeble/temp chains connected to bane. If i can get an extra curse item I guess I could replace the despair link on bane with something else but until then I was wondering if it would be worth dropping a curse for ctrld destruction or void manipulation?

    HC Build for Returning Player

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 02:22 AM PDT

I last played POE years ago, I was pretty heavily in to it early on in the cycle but only just returning now. Been watching Kripp, Zizaran, and ZiggyD... and just can't stay away any more.

However, I only tend to play HC (because it's my preferred mode) and would like something survivable combined with a lack of clicking (because I have some RSI which makes playing ARPGs a little hard some days).

Does anyone have any suggested builds? I'd really like something I can just take it somewhat safe with to learn the game again :)

Is there a strong endgame-viable build that does not turn the graphics into a light show? Basically which strong skill has subdued special effects?

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 05:13 AM PDT

So far I've played a Frost Blades build in Standard. Between me and my friend's Molten Strike and the enemies' attacks, I have a hard time telling what's going on.

I'm looking for a good build which keeps the screen clean, so there's one less source of visual pollution. Something like Split Arrow would've been great but it seems to suck because according to poe.ninja, only 1 player above level 80 uses it!

Damage seems kinda low on FB ignite trickster

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 04:49 AM PDT

    https://pastebin.com/mY7Cc2cA

I've never made an ignite build since the changes and I'm trying to make one for my next character

the defense feels like it's in a good spot but I think my dps is a little bit on the lower side, am I expecting too much dps in POB or did I miss something somewhere ?

Low life Inquisitor Winter Orb (maybe cwc Ice Spear)

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 04:30 AM PDT

    Hi Guys

I'm trying to build a low life inquisitor with Winter Orb.

I've put together a POB with 2 trees, one with unnatural instinct and lvl 94 (just in case i can manage to buy one), and a second one with no unnatural instinct, and lvl 89.

    https://pastebin.com/27hy6LLq

Damage seems like it's going to be good.

ES numbers are low at the moment, as i used the cheap gear i have on my current league char. I do think that with better gear, i should be able to get 7-7.5k es, if not more.

I'm looking for suggestions / criticism especially on the tree, and if you think that going low life is worth it, or i should just stay CI.

Also, let me know if i messed up some configs (onslaught should be on almost all the time, or so has been my experience for now).

Path of Exile 3.6 Synthesis Implicit Mods Guide - How To Get A Guaranteed Specific Mod?

How important is cast speed for Divine Ire?

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 03:29 AM PDT

What's the point of cast speed you'd think it's fine to focus on other mods instead? Running totems too so if that changes things. PoB doesn't quite translate its impact well so I thought I'd ask around here.

SR Trickster: Help with finalizing tree

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 02:38 AM PDT

    Hey there!

I've been messing around a lot with my SR tricksters tree and i feel like i've finally found something close to what i think will be my final tree (i kept messing around with the idea of running EB, but finally quit and just went for regular MoM).

    https://pastebin.com/bUeuBWzH

This is my POB with three different trees and i would honestly just like to hear what people think and if there is anything you would change. V3 is the one i'm probably leaning towards (it is lvl 93 while the others are lvl 92 though), since i feel like it's the superior balance of life/mana/dps, but i'm not sure if i should drop the 4 points going up to heart of flame and put them somewhere else (due to not benefitting from the penetration and ES leech since i do burning damage)?

PS: The extra curse is there due to planning on getting a second curse through witchfire brew flask.

    Thanks!

    Need advices for Charged Dash

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 02:32 AM PDT

I'm trying to do it since days. The problem is I can't make it fast enough OR get enough damage. I tried Trickster for the manaless casting and charges, Raider(onslaught/charges and onslaught/phasing) and I can't seem to find any other class for this. It's probably the mechanic behind the skill that stops me. I want to use it as clear and movementskill!

Things I found out is that 2 H are probably better for speed,

1H should'nt be used as dualwield,

attackspeed slows down your movement (also: it gains stages which deal more damage with atkspeed),

    movementspeed obviously increases movement.

It felt good with around 150% movementspeed and 2.0 attack speed, but dealt no real damage in my case. My biggest issue is that I can't get movementspeed of the skill I want without dropping heavily in damage.

If anyone got any advices, items, classes, maybe a skilltree or whatever comes to your mind I should give attention, please share it. Thankful for every answer!

Gem Setup for Divine Ire MoM/EB Trickster

    Posted: 13 Mar 2019 12:27 AM PDT

So I'm bored at work and trying to plan a gem setup for a divine ire trickster. Unfortunately, I don't have access to PoB here, but I was hoping I could get some feedback on what I'm thinking for my setup.

((Divine Ire - Energy Leech - Infused Channeling - Physical to Lightning - Inc. Crit. Chance - Lightning Pen.))

((Herald of Ice - Curse on Hit - Onslaught - Warlord's Mk.)) I've seen a few HoI + Onslaught setups on poe.ninja and thought I'd try it out. Can anyone speak to how (in)effective it is?

((CWDT - Immortal Call - Inc. Duration - Wave of Conviction))

((Shield Charge - Faster Attacks - Fortify))

((Discipline - Herald of Ash - Lightning Golem)) After I get some good ES gear, I think I'd switch out Discipline for Zealotry and move the golem elsewhere to link the auras with Enlighten so I can run 2 heralds and zealotry without any mana reservation node investment.

What improvements can I make to this setup? Is there anything I can add?

    Need Arc trapper replacement

    Posted: 12 Mar 2019 11:43 PM PDT

Last season I was an arc trapper, loved it so much!!! What can compare this season for builds? Trying a tornado shot archer but didn't seem to have enough damage, or maybe I'm rushing ahead too quick.

It would be a league starter this time, archer isn't that high.

I just found out about poe.ninja and checked the most popular DPS skills in Synthesis Hardcore, this might interest you

    Posted: 12 Mar 2019 02:15 PM PDT

I'm sure veterans don't care but it's interesting for newbies like me who didn't know about this.

Here's the highest DPS done by a player, for various skills from Synthesis HC (I didn't include all skills, I ignored the ones with a low DPS, and those with a mediocre DPS only used by a handful of users (it could be more popular, but they died and went to SC)).

    • Bane 170k
    • Blade Vortex 252k
    • Caustic Arrow 250k
    • Double Strike 247k
    • Elemental Hit 344k
    • Essence Drain 397k
    • Ethereal Knives 205k
    • Fireball 225k
    • Freezing Pulse 225k
    • Frost Blades 175k
    • Ice Spear 347k
    • Incinerate 432k
    • Molten Strike 157k
    • Purifying Flame 209k
    • Reave 175k
    • Scourge Arrow 146k
    • Soulrend 351k
    • Spark 124k
    • Storm Brand 144k
    • Storm Burst 121k
    • Sunder 159k
    • Tectonic Slam 627k
    • Vortex 258k
    • Wave of Conviction 202k
    • Winter Orb 111k

That Tectonic Slam guy really stands out huh?

MoM/EB Soulrend Trickster - MF version

    Posted: 12 Mar 2019 05:15 AM PDT

    Hi,

I have been playing with the thought that since Soulrend is such a good skill with low gear investment and is a really good clear skill it could be used to magic find farming - an alternative to MF Windripper.

Here's the current gear that I have in mind, its an alteration of my current Soulrend build with MF options:

    Crafting help!

    Posted: 12 Mar 2019 04:22 PM PDT

I fairly new: had a sunder jugg with all uniques, very easy, but boring, build last season. Had trouble doing bosses.

This season I found a great easy guide to follow for Specter Necro Witch build.

My issue is I cannot figure out how to craft: "trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill."

From what I can gather, I need to find a veiled item. And then... disenchant it somehow? Is it just that specific item that gets the enchant, how do I learn to craft it? It does not show up on my crafting table. As of level 50 now, I have yet to find a single veiled item; I have found plenty of new memory items.

How do I go about getting this, without buying it (I would buy a weapon with it, but I want one with that crafting mod and +minion damage, and there have not been any for sale)?

    Divine ire- Hop or top

    Posted: 12 Mar 2019 03:13 PM PDT

So, just an opinion asking dude here:

What do you think, is divine ire able to crush late game, and do shaper etc without mirrorworthy gear?

What do you guys think will be needed?

    Powercharge trickster?

    Elementalist profane bloom and inpulsa?

    Inquisitor crit and consecrated ground?

Pls no flame, i would just like to discuss!

Toxic Rain - Less duration or increased duration?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2019 06:14 AM PDT

I'm trying to figure out whether I want to have longer duration on my Toxic Rain or whether I want to have lower duration.

On my head, having less duration was clearly the better option. The less duration, the quicker the pods explode for another big hit.

The DoT component of the skill seems way too small compared to the hit damage, plus quicker hits mean quicker on-hit procs like Poison.

But looking around online, basically everyone that builds Toxic Rain seem to focus exactly on the part of the skill I'm ignoring - the DoT from the pods. It's weird to me, because if I wanted to focus on that kind of flat damage DoT, Caustic Arrow has larger numbers for that.

So, am I missing something? Does going the Lesser Duration route for Toxic Rain has some kind of issue that I'm not noticing?
