What can I improve? Infernal Blow Slayer

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 03:43 AM PDT

I started the league not knowing which skill I'd want to use in endgame so it was fairly generic at first.

I am now a 71 slayer (Wheelee - https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Wheemix/characters) and have decided on Infernal Blow and need some help on where to go from here:

The idea is to get Ele Overload and remove RT, either get Avatar of Fire or Ngamahu (casual so Xophs may be out of reach). Other than that I'm not so sure anymore, so I appreciate your help!

Earthquake - fast and viable option?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 01:23 AM PDT

So I just played my Lacerate Gladiator till level 92 and sitting at around 15exalts and thinking about rolling a new char.

I really liked the fast Leapslam and fluid gameplay with my dual wield axe Gladiator and would like to play EQ on a similiar fast gameplay, while hoping to do much more damage.

What is the current way to da so? 2h Axe / dual wield axe?
Would love to be able to comfortable farm Uberelder and the 5-way army fights with good DPS against the Generals.

Anyone who played a strong EQ so far :)?

Slayer respec with approx 25 Ex budget - Currently Cyclone - Bosskiller

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 10:53 PM PDT

    Hey guys,

so I started off the league with Cyclone Champion 1h crit, moved over to Disfavour RT Slayer and am a little bored now.

Mapping is awesome ofc, also I was able to kill Uber Atziri, Shaper and Uber Elder but compared to Blade Flurry Characters I felt rather week and rather squishy even though I had over 6k life.

I kindly ask for ideas what I can spec into that compares to BF Champs/Zerkers/Slayers of the recent metas.

    Cheers

    Vortex this league?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 08:31 PM PDT

I started Trickster ED/Contagion and I love it but heres how sleep deprived I am. Trying to alt spam t1 NACDoT to multimod my want, I hit t1 cold dot, misread, regal/annul and hit. Thankfully noticed my mistake before multimodding, but I now have an i84 rare elder wand with t1 cold dot as the only affix. Okay, nbd, I can sell this and keep crafting. Hit t1 cold dot again and regal it, notice my mistake before annuls but I now have two wands with t1 cold dot, both good enough to multimod. For shits, I search 30% inc cd vortex helm enchs and find an i84 elder base for 3c.

So now I have two basically endgame qual wands and a great helm base.

I did my first deathless UE as Occultist Vortex in Synthesis and I loved it. Not sure if I should reroll now that I lucked into some gear.

Need a build suggestion for legion league...

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 03:28 AM PDT

I started out as a cyclone slayer, totally because melee. Hate it. Far too squish for me.

I got lucky and landed an exalt first day, which i sold for 75c, and used that to build an elementalist golemancer. Which i love the concept of, but im 50 and running around with 1300hp. Again, too squish.

So now im considering Jugg. I want a build that has a crap ton of physical mitigation, resistance capped, and a crap ton of health, while able to aoe and boss decently. I have never even beaten all the guardians yet.

SO im thinking earthquake, tectonic slam, or cyclone with a jugg. Heavy strike maybe?

If you have played something similar this league, how is it going?

    Disintegrator Ice Crash Slayer

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 03:13 AM PDT

Hey guys. So I wanted to make a Disintegrator build and landed with Sweep and Ice Crash. So far, I've liked Ice Crash more.

What do you guys think about the idea and the tree?

Looking for a build that's cheap to start that can clear monoliths.

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 11:20 PM PDT

I started with a Cyclone build on a Slayer, which I still plan on playing but now I'm wanting to try something that can specialize in clearing the monoliths when I come across them, so I guess it would be a mapping focused character by default.

Right now I am floating around the ideas of ED+Contagion and Lightning Trap but I would like to see what else I could do since I'm not the biggest fan of either. It doesn't have to be on the same level as ED+Contagion but I would at least like it to be faster than Cyclone so that I can farm splinters and the other various spawns from monoliths more efficiently.

Working on my first self made build for legion, wondering if I could get some help with finishing it up and checking to see if it would be viable for endgame mapping. Doesnt need to be uber viable. Main problem seems to be mana regen that I can tell. Thanks for any replies

Recommended builds for someone trying to get good at uber elder?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 05:53 PM PDT

I really want to get good at uber elder, but I can't afford multiple attempts at it to learn all the mechanics and get good without actually killing him and getting returns. I wanted to make a boss killer anyways, but I would really like recommendations for easy/tank uber elder farmers specifically. Ideally, I would like to farm uber elder enough this league that I get good enough to farm him at league start in the future.

    Thanks!

Looking for fast mapping t16 build good at legions.

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 03:13 PM PDT

^ title. I have 20 ex saved up from playing ED trickster. Have my atlas setup for farming eldered maps. Getting bored of ED and looking for a strong fast build that handles legion well. Was thinking maybe a bow build with chain or frost blades. Maybe scourge arrow or something along those lines. Any suggestions appreciated!

Does increased effect of non damaging ailments affect impale?

What am I doing wrong with this Tornadoshot/Bleed build?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 01:34 PM PDT

I started poe during betrayel league and was quite succesful (killed some of the endgame bosses like shaper, elder, atziri) But I'm not seeing doing it in this league.

3 days ago I started the league and reached maps today. I'm following this guide, but changed it a bit (no siege ballista, changed the tree accordingly). My gems aren't finished yet, because I'm lacking currency.

The problem is that I die even in T1 maps fairly often (last was a desert where I died three times...). I know that my resistences aren't capped yet but even the damage is not enough. So any tips are greatly appreciated!I was thinking about switching to a Lacerate build (just reskill the bow-nodes and I should be fine I think..?).

I know that bleed-bow-builds aren't among the strongest in the game, but completing the atlas should be doable, right? :/

This is my planned tree: http://poeurl.com/csE3

edit: sorry, forgot the link to my character (it's the champion)

    Melee besides cyclone...

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 01:44 PM PDT

45% of all build this league are cyclone. What else is proving to be strong on the melee front? There's gotta be other strong options that people will start gravitating toward now that streams are maxing out their cycloners.

    Tempered by War for RF

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 12:50 PM PDT

I've been looking at using Tempered by War for my RF build Tempered by War:

50% of Cold and Lightning Damage taken as Fire Damage

50% less Cold Resistance 50% less Lightning Resistance

There's a pretty heavy investment in resistance, but if I'm hitting 90% fire res then I'm essentially getting 6% max cold and lightning res (If I'm doing my math properly)

Does anyone think that's worth it for late game investment? I'm pretty bad so any opinions would be appreciated.

    Ground Slam CoC Ascendancy

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 06:19 PM PDT

Posted this to the /r/pathofexile questions thread but then realized this sub exists.

I'm a bit of an altaholic and am already thinking about my 2nd character for the league. I was thinking that ground slam CoC glacial cascade (inspired by mathil/demi :P) would be fun. I was planning on trying to scale both with phys damage, and also add in hatred and herald of ice for the shatter-splotions. I'm just struggling to figure out which ascendancy to go and what exactly to take in the tree. Right now I'm between: inquisitor (has some synergies with ele and crit, nodes nearby to scale both the ele damage and phys damage, would probably spec staves), slayer (8% base crit is juicy, plus more damage and more aoe, not sure what weapon to spec was thinking 2h of some sort), and assassin (lots of crit in the ascendancy and on the tree). Any advice/pointers would be much appreciated! :D

    Suggestions for 2h build?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 02:32 PM PDT

Want to make a 2h build and craft an elder sword for fortify support. Can't decide on what skill to use though and cyclone doesn't seem very fun to me. Would like both good clear and bossing capabilities.. was kind of spoiled coming from scourge arrow. 2 leagues ago I went off meta and created a wild strike 3m dps character.. any suggestions on skills to use? Should I go back to wildstrike?

    Slayer cyclone crit or RT?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 11:55 AM PDT

Have 20 ex to invest in a weapon and respec. According to another thread everyone said RT is terrible this league and every slayer should be going cyclone to scale dps, yet when I check poe.ninja almost all the highest dps numbers are coming from RT starforge builds.

So I guess the question is, do I go crit or RT and do I go 6link starforge and kaoms or dual weild foils and try to craft a rare chest.

Budget duo build from start to Shaper for "tourists"

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 06:14 AM PDT

    Hello Exiles

[Repost from r/pathofexile. Just found this sub, probably should have posted here]

Me and my gf want to give PoE another shot, after hearing and seeing all the nice things about Legion. We played from the beginning and then a few season in between. However, we never lasted too long, mainly due to selecting the wrong builds, becoming too casual and generally sucking.

So this time we set ourselves a goal: Finally kill the Shaper!

We still can't invest lots of time and also did not "git good" in the meantime, though. I know PoE is not the game suited for us with it's depths and trillions of mechanics. D3 is much easier for that. But we just want to finally SEE this cool endgame content PoE has to offer. On another note, I love GGG as a company and just want to support their way of doing things as a gaming company. Hopefully this is will be the way gaming companies move towards in the future.

Anyways, we've been looking for builds for almost a week now and still could not decide. We're almost at the point of letting it go completely. So this is a last resort and maybe you guys can help us out.

    What we're looking for:

    • We both want to play the same build (adjusting just a little bit to share more auras/curses to buff each other, maybe one optimizing for boss killer and the other for map clear?)
    • A detailed guide we can follow from starter to Shaper
    • Budget (i.e. SSF viable?)
    • Bonus points for it being melee

For example, Cyclone looks very fun to us. But with it being one of THE mainstream builds in 3.7 it looks like it'll be way to expansive for us.

Thank you very much for any help!
