Posted: 02 Sep 2019 12:03 AM PDT Saboteur saw some nerfs but I believe it can still shine, especially with the new pyroclast mines. However, the nerf to the regen (20%>10%), as well as the death of MoM, makes miners very squishy. Some questions. 1. What can we do to beef up defences and sustain on the new miner? Specifically, to survive uber elder? 2. Will the new smoke mine become the primary mobility skill for miners? Should it be used unlinked or is it more effective in a 3 link with inc. duration and efficacy, for example? 3. Whats the best setup for a single target utility skill? Would something like storm/arma brand with combustion and curse on hit flammability be good enough? [link] [comments] |
Should I try to league start a CoC Assassin Posted: 02 Sep 2019 03:45 AM PDT Hi, I'm a veteran PoE player with good grasp of mechanics and builds but I have never played a CoC build. With the Assassin buffs to survivability and movement speed Cyclone CoC Ice Nova looks even better than before and I'd like to try it this coming league. The problem is I have never tried one and from what I've read about the build it is really hard to use as a league starter. Is there anyone who has started as CoC and if it's doable could I get some general tips on how to level and gear for maps? [link] [comments] |

Viability to start with a MF Build? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 07:19 PM PDT Hey guys, I was thinking to start this next league with a MF Build (probably Tornado Shot) but never made one. I'm not sure how viable it would be to start with such a build. Can anyone more experienced than me give me some insight? Also, any build suggestion? Theorycrafting a necromancer unearth meme build idea Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:06 AM PDT As you've know, the necromancer is getting a rework for the upcoming patch, and after the changes has been announced, Those Corpse specialized caught my attention, and I had and idea to use Unearth as a main skill for damage. Now since this is a meme build, the DPS won't be measured in "shapers per second" unlike many builds here and will probably require a different playstyle, and would be too "clunky" for your average poe redditor. The buildFor starters, Unearth at level 20 is the highest damage of the pure physical spells (682 to 1023) compared to EK ( 633 to 949) And gem scaling thru items and empower is even better. Using unearth, We we always produce corpses, This allows us to have the conditional buffs of plaguebringer and corpse pact to be always active. The targeting may need a little getting used to at first since unearth projectiles end at your cursor unlike other projectiles, thought it has innate pierce, it is still extremely crap for clearing/mapping. The solution is dual wielding Obliteration wand for clearing, since this build will be stacking tons of increased and more damages, we will be able to scale the explosions nicely without any problem. For this, We will use a separate 4link (5) on our gloves specific for unearth. For bossing we use weapon swap into a better crafted rare wand and a single target setup on our chest. This build is not really socket starved so having two unearth setups is fine. Unearth itself is quite difficult to scale, so we will go crit route, and get " physical damage added as x" along with spirtual aid. Aside from that. for our ascendancy, we will go
The playstyle will be involves putting as much corpses on the area (with desecrate and unearth) during boss fights and using your Offerings to keep buffs up, as well as using bodyswap to dodge boss hits by jumping around the area to stay safe as well as triggering the conditional bonuses of our ascendancies. Since we are using unearth, we don't have to worry about losing conditional bonuses since we are always putting corpses under enemy feet. For mapping we can go the usual: Start with triggering your offering and just shooting unearth and Explosions will take care of the clearing, we will use bodyswap to jump as fast as we can. The GearAside from obliteration wands, this build does not require any uniques to be effective. My Set up uses Essence worm because I think The manacost of unearth is too high for me to sustain, And I don't have any way to simulate the Essence Glutton Passive. For wands set up: Both obliteration and weapon swap will have copies of:
Flesh offering is our choice of offering for cast speed and move speed buff, But having bone offering for emergency purposes is nice to have. With obliteration wands and Mapping set up: about 180k for trash mobs, Which is more than enough. The basalt flask is used to emulate the ascendancy bonuses
Room for improvementWith tons of exalt investment This build can reach 1.3m+ Shaper DPS. depending on the cost of oils, If I can get Spiritual aid on my amulet, I will be able to respec it from the tree and free up 5 more skill points. which can activate 2 additional jewel sockets. That leaves us with 6 empty sockets. Watchers eye with 2 hatred mods, Unnatural instinct on the scion area, Timeless jewels and a bunch of life/damage jewels are the ones we will put into those. Patchnotes are also not out so there might be even more buffs to crit and minion damage. I believe this tree is not well optimized have more room to improve. Thoughts on this pure phys league starter/budget Blade Vortex Scion for mapping? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 09:15 AM PDT PoB: https://pastebin.com/JTDCZLeQ I've been working on this build for a bit. It's a pure phys, crit BV Scion build that uses Brutality and Blood and Sand with maim to deal a lot of damage on a budget. We ascend to Assassin for power charges and raider for frenzy charges and movement speed, pretty much the only ascendancies that give us any bonuses (Pathfinder might be an option for bossing, in order to keep flasks up). The DPS is roughly 500k on a 5-link (including unleash) while still maintaining respectable defenses with 6k+ HP, leech, fortify, evasion, armor, etc. While all of the uniques are desirable for many builds, they are not required for the build and should drop down to a few chaos eventually. I'm thinking mana leech shouldn't be required either since we only have to unleash every few seconds, but can be acquired on boots if needed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve it? Are there other BV builds that would be strictly better for this purpose? I'm not planning on this being a boss killer, but rather a strong, cheap mapper. Cheers! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 06:31 AM PDT Hi. The basic idea is simple as the title says, I'd like to play a HoAg glad for 3.8 leaguestart with cyclone as a trigger with some new ideas. Atleast new for me, if the build exists I'd like to know where. To start a HoAg build you dont really need much, so I wasnt really concerned about leveling tree and items, coz you just need get a cyclone with poison support and you're good to go with a 4-5l HoAg to start mapping. So the interesting part would be integrating a Soul Tether belt and a Glorious Vanity timeless jewel with the Corrupted Soul Keystone. I'd prefer to use a +3 minion gem helmet with Minion Damage for the HoAg, and a glove for my Cyclone with Elder Faster Attacks and Poison support to use Infused channeling, fortify, and life gained on hit. So the concept would be getting a bunch of life gained on hit with the support gem, the claw, and a thief's torment as a starter, maybe even get the life gained against blinded enemies elder mod for the claw. Get capped leech with soul tether and 26% of my max life as ES aswell. Also getting max block with 50k armour for molten shell and an Aegis Aurora, how the shield works with the belt is not clear for me so far, but the shield say "replenish" and not recover nor regenerate or recharge, so if im right it works. And also I'd having ~10%+ regen and perma enduring cry therefore charges. With the HoAg being in the helm, and the Cyclone in gloves I can use a kaom's hearth for a lot of HP and ES with the jewel/belt. My current PoB plan looks like this: https://pastebin.com/FRbxTw02 My isses are the following: -I couldnt quite get my armour to 50k -My leech is nowhere near cap -My block is 72% if im hit, which should be fine as it'll go up to 82 as im getting hit, but it would be better if i can get without relying on getting hit and blocking a bunch. My toughts on solutions so far.: Getting the helm enchant for mana reservation onn HoAg or Determination and running that for armor. I'd probably use clarity watcher's eye for the -mana cost before getting the claw with the life gain on hit, and then using the ring craft. Determination could also solve my issues with block if I use a watcher's eye for that, but idk if determination is efficent enough as a 50% aura to run when i could use vitality for regen/life gain on git watcher's or just some dmg aura like hatred for the HoA. The Leech however is kinda hard to solve, or atleast I dont know how to get capped. [link] [comments] |
