    What's an BiS Blink Arrow/Mirror Arrow Bow+Quiver?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2019 02:08 AM PST

I experimented with different options and am curious as there's little resources on the matter as most just stop scaling after Lioneye's Glare.
So far the best thing I can come up with is a 20% more with attacks fossil prefix multimod with +2 supported, attack speed, minion damage and minion attack speed, the alternative being a 20% DD/attack speed shaped bow with same multimod minus attack speed and plus lightning damage added for the prefix.

Can anyone suggest a better/more cost efficient one ?
I think for Quiver, a fossil crafted 5% ele pen quiver with 50% WED seems best, but if you use something like Doomfletch Prism that might be better(?). I'd appreciate your advice.

Have a PoB for reference: https://pastebin.com/wUNiJfkx
Edit: Apologies, I meant to use the 20% more with attacks prefix over lightning damage on the bow but can't change it now as I'm at work.

In response to my recent post about looking for inspiration for a support(-ish) character that I can play with friends: here's my attempt at a LL Baron Mana Guardian. Feedback is very welcome.

    Posted: 04 Dec 2019 02:14 AM PST

There's pretty much everything in the title. I'm just posting the build here because I'm looking for suggestions, ideas and just general criticism and feedback, since I haven't played a Baron build before. Let me know what you think. :)

EDIT: I just noticed that I have no stun/freeze immunity. I'll have to see what I can do about that. Maybe Dream Fragments or just a flask against freeze and the Guardian Ascendancy node against stuns.. we will see. There's plenty of options.

    3.9 Burning Arrow Ignite

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 06:55 PM PST

    https://pastebin.com/xXtgi7WC

Items have been pretty minmaxed to show the ceiling of this build ~~ roughly 3+ mil ignite dps without factoring the new debuff mechanics.

Elementalist always my go to for attack based ignite builds due to the power of golems filling all the holes: weak leech recovery fixed by high regen from stone golem, lack of attack speed and accuracy scaling fixed by lightning and ice golem, plus flame golem giving ~85% increased generic damage and chaos golem providing some hefty flat phys reduction.

Take this as a reference or let me know if there's anything to improve, thanks!

    Power Siphon Pathfinder Build Critique

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 01:33 PM PST

    Hi everyone,

I'm planning out my build for 3.9 and would really appreciate any thoughts/suggestions/critique you have for my build. Here's the pastebin: https://pastebin.com/jRTCuvrk

The intention here is to build a tanky PF using the new Barrage Support gem and picking up as much Reduced Damage Taken as possible. To achieve that, I've picked up Bloodletting, Silent Steps (via amulet) and Crystal Skin on the tree and made sure I can blind and bleed enemies. I have balanced res for wise oak along with 50%+ flask effectiveness, and I also have fortify along with 90% fortify effectiveness from the tree.

A few other things that I feel are worth clarifying:

    • Inexorable is needed to generate endurance charges for Daresso's Defiance to eat, which fuels Onslaught.

    • Shock is checked at 25% via Skitterbots and shock effect on the Hypnotic Eye jewel (20% base + 25% effectiveness)

    • Rumi's is checked in the Items section, but will usually be swapped out a quicksilver of adrenaline (pushes the build up to 276% movespeed). Will be using Rumi's for bigger boss fights though, and this is a Shaper config.

    • Piscator's has a custom 180% more damage mod added to it. This is the effective damage multiplier for Barrage Support (yes really, you can check my math in the Notes section and cross-reference with the spreadsheet that u/MechTrap created: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/e070aj/we_made_a_spreadsheet_to_calculate_how_much_more/)

If you can think of any improvements here, I'm all ears! Would love to get Shaper DPS over 1M without reducing life/defensive abilities or bump up life without impacting DPS.

    Noob/Casual-friendly Melee?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 06:46 PM PST

Looking for a shield blocking build with a reasonable clear speed (not super fast) that gets right up in a boss's face and smacks them with melee/strike oriented skills. No Cyclone. Other important characteristic: SSF-ish viable i.e. not too pricey - something I could finish the Atlas with and maybe try Shaper (or whatever the new version is going to be).

Builds I've played in the past and am trying to steer away from: - Frost Blades Shadow (obligatory shitty first character) - Winter Orb/Vortex (both Shadow and Witch) - Bane/Soulrend Shadow - Frostbolt Witch

Taken time away from PoE since mid-Synthesis, familiarizing myself with the game again to prep for the new season. Trying to find something different than what I've usually played.

Was having a blast with a Tank/Summoner build recently, but reading through reddit made me realize minions are probably going to get the nerf bat hard. The one I was working off was a Dominating Blow Templar: https://pastebin.com/qjjnJm3e

Flat phys vs flat fire for BA?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 02:29 PM PST

100% phys conversion to fire from new BA, planning a Chieftain purely scaling the ignite DoT damage. Anger gives a lot more flat dmg than for example herald of purity, but correct me if I'm wrong, the flat fire portion wouldn't be scaled by the various "X% of phys as extra fire" (herald of ash, chief passive, the signal fire, added fire gem, minor tree passives and so on), losing a pretty nice chunk of dmg.

So is anger that useful? Would it be better to have flat phys or flat fire affixes on gear? Which auras would you run? I was thinking anger - HoA - precision (could go RT and not worry bout accuracy, but I want to use Elemental Overload)

How would you remake my old D2 minion build in SSF for 3.9?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 05:56 PM PST

I joined Blight very late, and missed the boat on minion league. But it reminded me I used to love my D2 necro's wall of (undeath) style build.

Basically - a lot (~20+) of undead minions flowing as a tide of death while I used a range of curses to set up the field and then corpse explosions to chain-massacre anything.

My 3.8 minion witch had the "wave of undeath" part (9 zombies, 10 skellies, golem, guardian, a few spectres and some SRS). But my char was standing around doing too little, mostly spamming infernal legion SRS for something to do. (I followed a baron-build, but never found a baron, so I had a lot of spare passives and gear wasted on str that could probs be used in more interesting ways.)

Is there a similar wall of undeath feeling build that works as SSF but that also lets me contribute more?

A note on SSF since reading a few guides today showed me it's less obvious than I thought: builds that run effectively with only stuff that I can reasonably get solo.

One I just read said "It's SSF - you only need spend 80c on this build" and another said "it's SSF - just farm this build-enabling unique." Neither of those are what I'd call SSF. I mean something that runs effectively on self-found rares mostly, with maybe the odd low-budget craft.

I know patch notes aren't out and might change things. I'm looking for a rough build, not the perfect one. I'm assuming minions will be somewhere between 3.7 and 3.8 for power. As a guide, I'm looking for a build that'd be good up to red maps in 3.8, doesn't have to be Uber Elder level.
(And yes, the endgame will change in 3.9. This is just a rough idea of target power.)

I can find lots of builds that aren't quite what I'm after, would love a link to something that fits if anyone knows one, pls.

HCSSF HoA Jugg or max block Glad?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 04:23 PM PST

Thoughts for 3.9? I expect i would drop an anvil eventually, i find like a hundred of them per league normally, so i can get the 82% block with some jewels without too much hassle. But i feel juggs defense/free endurance charges would be better for starting the league. Anyone have experience with both ascendancies?

Since elder bows are going to be hard to come by next league (I think). What about a cold point cyclone HoAg Occultist?

    Puncture Trickster 3.9 Viable?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 11:00 AM PST

I've been tinkering with a puncture build at work. Please excuse the pob party link I cant get it to generate a pastebin code.

I started theory crafting this build because I like the new ensnare skill mechanic that makes it so the enemy counts as always moving. I would link a ballista totem to ensnare, gmp, and blind. There are a couple different bow and quiver combinations to work with but I settled on reach of the council for now so I can use 5 offensive support gems. They said they are changing reach of the council so we will see if it makes it better or worse.

anyway what do you all think? Does this seem viable?

Looking for ranged SSF boss killer - please?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 07:47 AM PST

Looking for a good boss killer for SSF, ideally right side of the tree or really fancy Inquisitor. No melee. Any suggestions? I was thinking Cobra lash but not sure the single target will hold up?
