| Tested some The Saviour and Fury Valve mechanics Posted: 25 Dec 2019 06:41 AM PST https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Saviour When you crit with this weapon it has a chance to summon a clone of yourself. The clone will use the exact same attack that you used to crit with. This works with all the sword skills in the game. Including flicker strike, cyclone, tectonic, lancing steel. You cannot support them with minion gems since the attack you use cannot be supported by minion gems. The clones are however affected by offerings and feeding frenzy. The clones deal 50% of your damage and act very much like double strike clones. If they get a kill while using headhunter the headhunter buff will transfer to you. So this probably works with inspired learning too. The clone has some of the highest, if not the highest targeting range in the game. But it is very dumb. On blade flurry the clone will target an enemy off screen and just keep hitting the air. But the targeting range is actually insane for Lancing Steel. Frequently killing enemies before I can even see them. The base DPS of the sword is 240 pdps so it needs scaling with a lot of added phys, or dual wield, or flat elemental. I have not tested with two swords so I don't know if we can have 4 of them at the same time. Now let's talk about https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Fury_Valve This turns multi projectile skills in to a single projectile. But when that projectile hits something it splits in to multiple projectiles targeting anything in a huge range. like frostblades targets things behind it, but this is a circular aoe. The targeting range seems to be affected by projectile speed but I'm not 100% sure. The range is massive on my deadeye. Aoe indicator here: https://i.imgur.com/h39lAhd.jpg After the first it has hit the initial target and split in to 3+ new projectiles, normal supports apply like chain, fork, pierce. It works really well with chain and I suspect Awakaned Fork Fury Valve basically turns Lancing steel in to a new skill. The secondary projectiles dont spawn at all and the split projectiles all have the 100% impale. My EHP is 4700 (4300 life and 300 ES.) and it's just a mess. I am not sure how these people on the ladder are surviving. I switched from some mine build to this by regret orbing and what not. Spent about 20ex into the build and it just feels really weak for the investment. It was fun at first but then I realized I've literally been 91 for the past 2 days. That's just dumb. I am at 186 deaths now. It's absurd. I've been copying/mixing matching https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/Atixed/Niqsters?i=2&search=class%3DAssassin%26skill%3DCyclone%2CIce-Nova and some other people. Anyone with experience playing this build have any input on how I can go about fixing it? I really don't enjoy dying to the metamorph gently blowing air on me. I know I am probably making mistakes during fights but come on now. I've played a good amount of melee a few leagues back but this is just absurd. I'm currently leveling an Ice Shot Deadeye and I really like the clear speed on the build, but it is extremely squishy, has difficulties killing bosses, and I don't think it would be viable without the shrapnel ballista secondary set up I'm running at the moment. Could you suggest something that is similarly fast at clearing maps but that can compensate for survivability and bossing? I was considering something like a vortex chieftan or sth like that. Split arrows always been my favorite skill since years ago when catacombs was a good grinding spot. I love playing marauder back then I could do any kind of builds but now with alot of changes and ascendancy it's kinda focus on other classes. Anyone have a small guide or tip. I have never really played with Dark Pact before so thougt It could be fun to do some poison nova thingy with the new ring. Bumping the damage with Plague bearer aswell. Selcasting. Capping chaos res with Circle of Nostalgia. Should throw in elder gloves aswell. Without Skelly the poison DPS lands around 420k.
