    This league is the first league I've played POE "seriously". Did a few acts back when it was the nexus (think that's what it was called) and the first few acts last season but this time is the first time I've primed myself to get to end game and try out what I can in terms of what it has to offer.

    It took me 40 hours to "beat" the campaign, finishing at level 70 and still being unable to finish the 3rd lab. This was with a build guide to follow and a lucky tabula drop in act 2. Wish the guide told me to spec the skill that takes damage from mana earlier but you live and learn.

    Anyway. The point of this post is to just let people know how great and supportive the POE Community is, at least in global chat. I spent most my last few days in there asking tens of questions (both before and after reading and watching guides) and nothing has been too much trouble. Not a single person has given me shit or grief for it and everyone has been amazing and forthcoming with trying to help out as much as possible (except the one guy who asked if I was new, asked me if I wanted to "earn money" by buying him items but we will forget about that one).

    Also had a guy send me a party invite from global and drop me 100 chaos and a load of levelling gear because he knew I was struggling.

    Never seen a community like this in 30 years of gaming.

    Anyone who is thinking of picking this game up but is worried about the depth and complexity I would fully recommend giving it a go, even if you get lost there is an amazing, helpful community here that are always there to help.

    Thanks to everyone who has helped me out. Just started maps now so I'm sure I'm going to drive people mad in global again!

    Ye i know i suck, sirus around 15% hp after my 3rd attempt. 30 hours of gameplay (minimum) for 3 attempts is just annoying.

    GGG - We know you have Nested Tab Technology, as shown with the Map Tiers within the Map Tab. Please make this happen. I want to right click anything in my inventory and have it auto sorted in ONE tab.

    Played beta, took a break till warbands, then haven't stopped since. Loved everything so far.

    Sirus, though...

    What a terrible fight. Not fun at all and not hard in a good way like uber elder, shaper, etc. where the fights feel like boss fights.

    You guys think they'll change this? I hope it's completely redone personally.

    EDIT: I love the atlas changes to the core game btw, I think they're fantastic. Haven't had this much fun mapping in a long time. So I really appreciate all the hard work GGG put in, which made me all that much sadder that the Sirus fight was designed the way it was. I was expecting a really fun, exciting fight and learning the mechanics on my own, but all I got was frustration. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't in Oriath. I mean, just create a boss arena for the fight, why make me fight in Oriath with the camera panning all over the place. :(

    PSA: The official trade site has much faster updates

    I've been trading currencies the past week, and it's astonishing how many people whisper me with ratios that are long outdated. In many cases I just trade at those ratios anyway because it's faster than negotiating the current ones, but it is really annoying, and while I haven't watched the actual time at which I change the ratios, it feels like some of them haven't been that way for hours, and I always have to wonder whether people are actually using outdated info or just trying to scam me.

    Thus, the sites linked on poe.ninja, in descending order of delay:

    1. pathofexile.com/trade - almost perfect updates
    2. poeapp.com - outdated info
    3. poe.trade - hours old info, feels like it's updated 3 times a day

    This is definitely also relevant for people who mainly use trade to buy things and don't sell. I don't know if this frequency also applies to item listings, but if it does, then it means that using the official trade site will cause you to whisper a lot fewer people who have already sold the item you're looking for, making that part of the trade experience less frustrating. The other aspect is that if you contact currency sellers with old ratios, they may just take the ones you're offering if it fits them, but correct you if it doesn't, meaning that you can't benefit from outdated info in that aspect either.
