The most unique Hierophant builds I found this league Posted: 08 Jan 2020 05:49 AM PST I dig Hierophant mana builds and I think that they are highly underrated. Here are the most interesting builds I found this league via poe.ninja:

Posted: 08 Jan 2020 02:01 AM PST Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/QqPsa2EN I've wanted to do something with the new Manastorm shield for a while and I think I've finally found a place where it shines. An AW Hierophant, utilizing Paradoxica for the 2x damage multiplier to scale the mana-to-lightning damage even further. I'm sadly in the middle of exams and haven't got the time to trim the build down and finish the Path of Building, as well as that I am not exactly the most experienced of builders. Anyone able to give a hand in trimming the build down? I guess one of the main issues right now is ES regeneration, as one cannot leech with the totems. I haven't included the mana-to-ES Watcher's Eye due to economical reasons, but it's without a doubt worth going for with the build. It's a very rough outline, but so far it looks promising! Dance of Death may also be worth looking into, as it is about a 33,3% damage boost, but comes at the cost of ones helm. [link] [comments] |

Suggestions on "twin" DPS + Support build Posted: 08 Jan 2020 03:06 AM PST Hello everyone, as many players in PoE I've played builds that were mostly designed for solo play, but since I often play with a friend, I was curious about trying a support + dps combo, but I don't really know where to start. I once knew that bow/wand ele-crit builds are the builds that can benefit most from a support, is this still true? Are there other fun alternative styles? What about the support? I was thinking about an aura focused support, is a tanky guardian worth it in a two player party or a DPS focused necromancer is still the best option for clearing things fast? We are playing softcore so we don't mind dying from time to time, as long as it does not get too frustrating. Do you have any build to suggest? Overall requirements:

Three ways to spice up your skellies build. Posted: 07 Jan 2020 08:49 AM PST Like others, I rolled skellies for it's sheer strength without requiring a lot of currency. Unfortunately, I played skellies last league as well and was looking at ways to make the build different and more interesting. Here are three relatively inexpensive options. These options assume you're running skeletons in your chest. . Soulwrest Ease of Use: 10 Clear: 7 Bossing: 6 Fun: 5 Summons phantasms when you consume a corpse. Assuming you are using cyclone > cwc > spirit offering (you should), you will have 100% uptime of 20 phantasms while clearing. During bosses, you can run desecrate either manually or in the cwc setup to maintain phantasms. The staff DOES NOT need to be linked. Links are up to user if they want more ST or Clear, Phantasm attack has tags Physical, Projectile, Spell. They're sort of boring, nothing flashy. However, it does make for quite an army. . Dancing Duo Ease of Use: 7 Clear: 9 Bossing: 7 Fun: 8 Summons two fast moving cyclone bois when you rampage. Getting the rampage and maintaining it is very easy when clearing as you only need to kill 15 enemies with your skeletons. However, it loses points as getting rampage against single bosses is only possible by giving p 4 of your 5 flask slots for wurm jars which have recently spiked in price. Recommend using a wurm flask and popping it between packs when rampage is dropping. Links (again, don't need to be linked): Melee Phys, Multistrike, Damage on Full Life, Minion Damage, Maim/Brutality/Impale/Withering Touch (some Gem color flexibility). High fun factor. Rampage is fun as it has all kinds of neat effects as you climb the rampage stacks. . Arakaali's Fang Ease of Use: 5 (reduced from 7, see comments) Clear: 9 Bossing: 9 Fun: 6 SRS on steroids. Consumes corpses to summon spiders when you or an existing spider's poison get a kill. You'll have to run a writhing jar and self cast desecrate to summon against bosses without adds. You can also run desecrate in your cwc setup for more sustain. In general, I seem to always have 20 spiders while clearing and bosses rarely outlast them. Also the tankiest option as fang only takes up your primary meaning you can run Ahn's or another good shield in offhand. I found Speaker's wreath to not be necessary when clearing but it's certainly a very high QoL for sustaining your spiders and drastically helps when trying to get the spiders up for bosses. Worth noting speaker's wreath does not stop your dumb spectre (if using jinxed juju) from eating your worms and not spawning any spiders. Edit: A fun interaction with speaker's wreath is the crafted amulet modifier "10% chance on kill to summon spectral wolf". Since you're getting all the kills, you'll always have 20 wolves. For stronger wolves, you can run "The Scourge" in your offhand as they will be supported by the gems in the claw. Links on fang: melee phys damage, minion damage, melee splash. Can drop melee splash for maim/brutality/damage on full life if you really want to crank up the boss damage. . . All of these are relatively cheap (30-40c?) and worth trying out and seeing which one you enjoy the most. Edit: Popcorn Skelly as suggested below is also an option but requires a slightly different tree. These are all options that can be equipped and used without any tree changes. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jan 2020 06:01 AM PST Recent I came across a circle of anguish with herald of ash buff effect as well as fire damage. The implicits are curse with vulnerability and increased fire damage. I'm wondering if there are any builds or skills that would work well for both? [link] [comments] |
Skill for poison claw pathfinder? Posted: 08 Jan 2020 06:00 AM PST Hi, I'm playing pathfinder claw with saviour so im bound to viperstrike, moltenstrike or blade flurry. (Pestilent only dag/claw) According to my PoB Viper strike has the highest dps but Bladeflurry and moltenstrike work diffrent mechanicly (ramp up time diffrence etc.) so im not sure if those numbers are accurate, is viper strike indeed the best? https://pastebin.com/dDaBGpD2 for my build. (switch opitional helmets for enchants) thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jan 2020 05:45 AM PST I am currently running a CI Occultist HoAG. While mapping I am doing okay, but I am running into issues with bosses and metamorphs especially when I start running out of flasks charges. Here are some of the instances I notice my builds struggling with:
Movement feels a bit clunky at times since I have to shoot RoA to keep stacks up and there's a slight delay with both blink arrow and flame dash. Does getting the 6th link on my bow for the tri-curse adding temporal chains be enough or am I messing something else up? Is CI Vortex safe because you can just drop the pool and mostly focus on avoiding attacks? POB: https://pastebin.com/j6MExffW [link] [comments] |
Need some advice for EA Chieftain Build Posted: 08 Jan 2020 05:41 AM PST Hey guys this is my first build I've done myself and overall I'm enjoying it but I there are 2 things I'm not happy with and hopefully you guys can point me in a good direction. I don't like the reliance on potions because you can't really leech. I've annointed Essence Extraction to try and help with that but during boss fights I still end up running out and running around waiting for charges. I'm also having some slight survivability issues. Some of my deaths are admittedly my fault. Leeching could probably fix both problems but EA can't leech. Is there another skill that could work well with my current gear? Enki's Arc witch with Inpulsa? Posted: 08 Jan 2020 01:43 AM PST I'm super new to POE (Metamorph is my first league where I reached endgame) [link] [comments] |
Cold ignite build - Hrimburn question Posted: 08 Jan 2020 12:00 AM PST Cold Damage can Ignite: Hrimburn allows the player's cold damage to ignite enemies, in addition to freezing and chilling. The burning damage from ignites caused by cold damage is cold damage that has been converted to fire, so it will follow the usual rules for damage conversion and can be affected by both cold and fire modifiers (along with other usual modifiers to ignite) As I understand this that means both cold damage over time and fire damage over time modifiers should be applied. You should also be able to use both burning damage and hypothermia to stack more 'more damage' over time modifiers. So before I go down the rabbit hole of spending a few hours trying to make this work are these assumptions im making correct. [link] [comments] |
duel wield cyclone slayer help Posted: 08 Jan 2020 01:45 AM PST Im extremely new to poe this is my first character over level 40 and my first league. Im now at end game and i started mapping some but im completely lost. I have no idea where to go with my build what gear to look for and what i need to do with my passive tree. Any help at all would be much apreciated just what to do next what i can change and maybe what gear i should be on the look out for. POB link: 1 [link] [comments] |
Where to go from here as CoC Ice Nova? Currently Sword+Shield, considering Dual Wielding. Posted: 07 Jan 2020 09:43 PM PST Right now I have a very hard time with conqueror's and sirius but I think I've settled and probably won't be able to kill sirius with this build. I've checked poe.ninja to see similar builds and I don't know whether it's worth going dual wielding or sword and shield. Right now I went pandemonius but should I switch to yoke and get the soul tether belt + glorius vanity then upgrade my chest to a elder vaal regalia with extra crits for attacks? Right now my aspd is 7.37 for cyclone and I know that the max for aspd is 7.57, with a 3% jewel, I will have 7.53 aspd so I know I need to go for that at least as well correct? Sorry this is new to me while this isn't my first time doing CoC, it's my first time optimizing it. [link] [comments] |
Another build suggestion thread Posted: 07 Jan 2020 09:13 PM PST Hi there. So I've been looking for a new build for the last few days but have been struggling to come up with something. Right now im open to most suggestions, no summoners though. I generally want a build that is good for mapping and bossing. Budget is at 150ex. [link] [comments] |
Improving CoC - Frost Nova/Bolt Posted: 07 Jan 2020 06:45 PM PST Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/NFEDfdEc Looking for help improving my CoC build. My jewels are kinda bad but otherwise unsure what to do next. Save for second cospris maybe? First time using CoC so any help/tips/thoughts appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Minion rookie. Not sure how to improve Guardian Skelly build Posted: 08 Jan 2020 12:25 AM PST Hi All, https://pastebin.com/yZgvLkrz. I got some money early from my Arc witch character and wanted to make something a bit tankier, so I created a mana guardian following a HOAG build guide. After a while I remember why HOAG is so annoying to play and wanted to try my hands at skeletons. I adapted the tree and got a few different items that seemed to make sense. However I am not sure if I have the tree optimized properly or if there are any other things I should do differently with my gear/gem setups. Thanks all! [link] [comments] |
Good ssf a8 sirus killing build? Posted: 07 Jan 2020 06:18 PM PST I've beaten sirus a8 a few times on trade league with my baron necro and my hoag guardian and I want to try out ssf. I'm wondering is skele necro the best choice or is there any other tanky builds that can handle sirus a8 in ssf with way worse gear? [link] [comments] |
Delve: How deep a more tanky build can go? Posted: 07 Jan 2020 11:01 PM PST I know that really deep delve 90% of the characters play as Scourge Arrow Raider without life and CI since any hit would kill you. But I remember last league some people were playing Juggernault but I'm not sure if their defense helped or not. Also, those more defensive delve builds... how well they perform on maps and bosses? My Herald Of Ice is not working well Posted: 07 Jan 2020 04:53 PM PST Hey, First sorry for my english; Can someone help me with my build?. In fact, I'm playing a Dead Eye Ice Shot build, but my Herald of Ice is not working well (i mean i can't have the explosion on crit to get the AOE damage). I can't understand why yet , i have 50.4% chance of crit on my ice shot, but the herald of ice don't wanna work.. Here you got my profile : https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Veaoz/ Hope someone can help me to understand .. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Jan 2020 12:04 PM PST Looking to reroll now that my SA build has hit a wall and I don't really want to throw the currency at it to fix, so I'm looking into other builds. I've always liked the idea of Ngamahu Cyclone but want to be sure it's viable at end game (bossing especially) before I fully reroll. Also, any PoBs are much appreciated! [link] [comments] |
LL Arc/Pyro Miner Looking for help in improving build Posted: 07 Jan 2020 08:34 PM PST Hi all! Have brought my miner to to almost end game. Am now at Awakenening L5 and almost but am still facing issues with Sirus. Have 7.3k ES but am gettin 1 shot with random hits. Would love all feedback ...the good, the bad and the ugly so I can have my first successful kill. Would also love some advice on how to improve my gearing. My current budget is approx 3 to 4ex (not being stingy but thats really all I have managed to amass till date). Thanks again in advance exiles!! [link] [comments] |
Low Life, Ball Lightning Miner. Need some help from experienced players. Posted: 07 Jan 2020 12:43 PM PST Hello everyone. Hope you guys and girls are enoying the new league as much as I am. I am kind of in deep water of here. Playing both miner and low life for the first time. I've manged to get things going and want to know how I can get further with the build and what I can might change for the better. I'm open to all from good experienced players as yourselves. Kind of better skill tree choice? What can I change in terms of gems setup? Gear? To get more dps, or maybe be able to survive better? I've been trying abit myself In POB, but I feel Like I need some help :) Here my pob: https://pastebin.com/1KQ2ULkU If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask, constructive criticism please [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Jan 2020 11:20 AM PST I'm wanting to make a fast clear build, but there's one thing i want, a build that makes t16 (boss), that's it. I thought about Ice shot + barrage, made a past league, was not very good at boss, but it was great for clear, maybe invest more in build....could be decent for boss. From what I saw, this procedure follows the basics of hyrry with death and pandemonium. I had the idea of trying to change the bow, use a hopeshredder and maybe use the raider for frenzy, but I haven't theorized on pob.Poeninja has few examples, which makes me think it might be a bad idea. Budget: 20-30ex [link] [comments] |
HoA Cyclone Jugg - Levelling Guide Help Posted: 07 Jan 2020 12:23 PM PST This league I have been watching Modz in his HCSSF journey and I've been really enjoying his build. Here is the link to his build on POE Ninja: https://poe.ninja/challengehcssf/builds/char/Modz/DeathbyChaosBalls?i=20 As far as I can tell, Modz doesn't have a written guide and on the forums, I haven't found a similar enough guide where the levelling info is relevant during the early game, how and when to transition to HoA and Holy Relic, etc. Looking for just a general levelling guide. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
