Help optimise my Cyclone Slayer Posted: 16 Feb 2020 05:55 PM PST Hello, I've been putting a decent amount of currency into a Slayer to finish off the league. I've been using a Vaal Double Strike and Vaal Ancestral Warchief as a second so link which is amazing if the boss isn't phased. My first and only character was this league which was a Flicker strike Slayer that I had to transition to Cyclone because the gameplay was too hard to follow. Now I'm bored of melee. Advice on current cyclone build. Posted: 16 Feb 2020 01:55 PM PST Hey all, I'm currently playing a cyclone slayer(PoB) but have hit a wall. Ive tried sirus(awakener 4) and got completely stomped. Ive managed to do nearly all other content(havent tried elder or shaper) but die usually atleast once. Im sure theres some gameplay skills i could improve at aswell, but i feel like my build needs to a bit tankier, and if possible do more damage, as offence is the best defence after all. New Player to Endgame Looking for Tips on Progressing into Red Maps Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:54 AM PST I'm just starting to get into end game and I feel like I struggle at the same point every time. Particularly in SSF. I start hitting Red maps, and I feel like my characters stall out in progression. I pick up item bases that I want for my build and hope some good gear comes out, maybe some uniques, but then around this time I stop finding improvements. The rares are just a mish mash of good/bad stats and no real upgrades, the uniques are mostly the same things that have been dropping for a while and don't offer me anything. I'm doing Divine Ire totems, and I feel doubly screwed because once my totems start dying I can't even deal damage let alone survive the random RIPs to metamorphs/bosses, general map trash isn't bad. I think it has the ability to scale, particularly I need my uber Lab. I feel like I can brute force deaths and continue on, but I don't understand how to improve my character by doing that. I see all the Delve, Temple, item Unveiling, kind of mechanics, and I've done a few but don't know how to abuse them to improve my character. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 16 Feb 2020 05:54 AM PST I've been playing since Christmas on HC SSF and can get to maps pretty comfortably, but regularly getting squished on t4-t5. My life pool is typically 3-4k when I die and I have capped resists, but to be honest I don't know a huge amount about other defensive mechanics and build guides typically neglect them focusing on damage output. I understand the whole kill before getting killed concept but at the moment I seem to kill most uniques/bosses/metamorphs in a couple of seconds but still get splatted in a split second if I'm not careful - so I don't think damage is the issue! I play skelly necros (which my phone auto correct keeps trying to change to smelly necrosis -yuck!) [link] [comments] | ||

Other than getting phat awakened gems, I'm considering better jewels too. Wonder if it'll be worth it to path around to RT and use that jewel node to get Corrupted Soul since I'm rolling with 7.5k life and 5.3k ES (with spirit offering). Single Target damage problems as IceShot/Barrage Deadeye Posted: 16 Feb 2020 05:01 AM PST Hello Guys, with this build https://pastebin.com/Cd2YwFR7 i have the following problem: I managed to farm the currency for a Headhunter the first time ever and decided i wanted to make a char using it, so looking at some stuff on poe.ninja (i know) i decided to play selfcurse IceShot/Barrage Deadeye. Obviously the build i great for clearing maps as you get more and more HH stacks but i have massive problems with anything that can take some damage including:
I can kill them semi-reliably if i have a lot of HH stacks and as soon as i die (which happens a decent amount of the time because barely any defences) i can give up a map completely. The things i see differing from other builds on poe.ninja are mainly:
Does anyone of you have experience with this build to tell me where the problem lies? Currently Mapping isn't really fun if i run into a brick wall as soon as something has more HP then your average yellow mob. Question probably is how much currency/time would be possible to get this build to do all content. Maybe the frustration comes from the fact that my first character, a Lacerate Gladiator, cost like 10ex to make and can do all content without problems.
