    I think overall Metamorph mechanic is fun and rewards single target skills again. It should be in core game but instead of the usual 10% chance in map, implement it differently. For instance, let map boss drop unique organs so that we go fight a morphs in tane laboratory. I'm just not the biggest fan of 10% chance thing. Catalysts and stuff can drop from lab metamorphs.

    Anyway, I'm about done with 3.9 and checking out Wolcen and be back in 3.10. Teaser season should be fun with Bex back. Great league GGG, hope next one keeps it up!

    New take on an old favourite of mine: the walking simulator.

    What do you get when you combine a bad unique (Abberath's Hooves) with a bad unique (Manastorm)? A Not-So-Bad Build.

    I love this quirky and unique build so much I wanted to show it off to others.

    You like walking simulators but already tried righteous fire and death oath? You always wanted to be a dancing giraffe? Well, I have just the thing for you!

    There is the unique Abberath's Hooves but the damage is abysmal and the aoe is too small.

    Now that I think about it, I always wanted to make a full mana build.

    How can I combine these things? Why, yes, of course there is Manastorm! So you say there is a chance.

    This was also inspired by other builds which use Disintegrator and scale the physical damage with poison and get aoe from poison proliferation on Abberath's Hooves but that's just not hipster enough for me.

    How this build works (Deep Dive):

    -Attack

    Abberath's Hooves does low damage for each step you take and it is a good idea to scale it with high added damage and movement speed. Manastorm can grand up to 0-4500 (~2250) added lightning damage which compared to disintegrator is huge.

    Manastorm has some peculiar problems, to get the most out of it we need: 1) extremely high amounts of mana 2) mana must regenerate completely in 4 seconds 3) use only 1 spell *exactly every 4 seconds*

    Let's solve this riddle:

    Problem 1=> just go full mana with hierophant, mana from gear and skill tree (theoretical gaining up to 18k Mana which results in roughly 0-4500 added lighning damage)

    Problem 2=> % increased mana regeneration from gear and skill tree as well as arcane surge and pure talent give us all the mana regen we need. We also use Clarity aura. (Honourable mention: warlords suffix: "Regenerate 0.4% of Mana per second" on a 1-hand caster weapon)

    Problem 3=> That was a tricky one. The answer is Phase Run. Just put Phase Run on your left mouse button and enjoy automated casting *exactly every 4 seconds* (Phase Run has a 4 sec cooldown) whenever you click or hold down to walk somewhere. Because the cast time of Phase Run is instant there will be no delay or stopping our walking while casting it.

    With these problems solved we have a working frame. You use your left mouse button to walk somewhere -> trigger Phase Run-> trigger manastorm buff, lose all mana-> your mana regenerates in 4 seconds->Phase Run Cooldown has ended-> repeat

    Hierophant does not only grant mana but also Transfiguration of Mind (200% increased damage) which boosts the added lightning damage. We also put 4 support gems in the boots to increase damage.

    We use Pain Attunement, Conductivity Curse and Wrath aura (bloodmagic).

    Another trick I have discovered (stolen) is Vaal Earthquake. When used this attack also triggers on each step which means that movement speed, added lightning damage, transfiguration of mind all the things affecting Abberath's Hooves will also work with this.

    Vaal Earthquake will enhance our single target damage and as it is an attack it doesn't interfere with manastorm.

    -Defense

    All mana and no live makes this build a dull boy. With Hierophant we can get up to 8k ES, with the Watchers Eye Mana->ES we get up to 12k ES.

    How do we deal with chaos? We use the unique "The Ivory Tower". There might be some issue when you receive high chaos damage while mana storm eats up all your mana but with a manaregen endgame of 5000 per second I don't think this will be a big problem.

    We have some ES regen. Memory Vault gives a good chunk of armor if you choose to reserve some of your mana (beware this reduces your damage).

    As we already have skilled some flask nodes with mana I choose to use "Supreme Decadence" from a Timeless Jewel (Elegant Hubris:Cadiro).

    A "Panicked Divine Life Flask of Staunching/Curing" can instantly heal up to 6500 ES. Because our life is not reduced by damage a life recovering flask effect stops immediatly so life flasks with duration do not work in this build. We need an instant flask and because we are always low life we can use "panicked" with less recovery penalty.

    Through some GGG magic these flasks only work in combination with certain suffix like curing or staunching. I can't fathom why but it do like it does. I use 2 of these flasks and they have saved my butt many times.

    "But duude flasks are useless against bosses, you won't get any charges!"said some pleb. We use the Pantheon "Soul of Ryslatha" which gives an insane boost and automatic flask charges.

    Hierophant also gives quasi permanent Arcane Surge and elemental ailment immunity.

    -Utility

    As we use Phase Run we already have a nice movement boost and the Phasing buff is perfect for running through enemies. I recommend Phase Run-Increased Duration-Efficacy with a 36% Phase Run duration Lab enchant so the buff will last more than the 4 second cool down and it will be up permanently.

    I also use a cast on skill use setup in my Weapon: Conductivity Curse, Wave of Conviction for lightning exposure. Be creative there are many other possibilies.

    Cast when stunned: Purifying Flame for consecrated ground, Moltenshell and Tempest Shield.

    Furthermore I have found the Lab enchant on gloves "Commandment of Ire" to synergize with the build especially for bosses.

    Hierophant also granting 125% increased aoe greatly helps the small aoe of Abberath's Hooves.

    The figures and feature are way off compare with other classes :

    -Berseker 10% increased taken/40% more damage vs Ascendant 5% increased / 15% more

    -Slayer None vs Ascendant 50% reduced maximum recovery life leech

    -Champion 100% vs Ascendant 10% Fortify / 25% chance to Taunt

    -Raider 10% dodge/spell vs Ascendant 4% dodge

    -Deadeye Tailwind / Chain vs Ascendant None

    -Trickster Ghost Shroud / Charges on channel vs Ascendant None / 15% chance on KILL

    -Assassin Poison damage / Elusive on crit vs Ascendant None / 10% Elusive on KILL

    -Occultist DOT damage / HexCurse vs Ascendant None

    -Elementalist Conflux / Golem effect / Herald reserve+pen vs Ascendant None

    -Necromancer Corpse consume regen damage defense vs Ascendant None

    -Hierophant Spell leech / Charge generation vs Ascendant None

    -Inquisitor Consecrated ground / ES regen vs Ascendant 10% chance on Hit Rare / None

    -Guardian Grant armour, ES , block vs Asecendant None

    All classes can get up to 3 or 4 notable passive but Ascendant only get 2 with LESS feature

    Either fix the number of passive or the figures and feature. While there is need for distinct class feature, Ascendant (center class) suppose to have one of those all feature but balance tune not None.

    Can we get an "or" filter for trade websites?

    I'd like to be able to specify if an item has one of two combinations of mods to show it. For example if I want to find 100% total resist boots I'd like to be able to search for:

    total resistance: minimum: 100

    OR

    total resistance: minimum: 80

    empty suffix modifiers: 1 (so I can craft a resist)

    Basically a combination of "and" and "count." I know that this can be solved by just searching multiple times, but, convenience and stuff.

    Hopefully this isn't posting again too soon, but unsurprisingly work is still boring. What a surprise! Mods, lemme know if this isn't cool to post again (keeping it 100% self-promotion free). My bad if it's not ok.


    The previous thread seemed to be helpful for a lot of people, considering that I was receiving replies more than a day after it was posted!

    While everyone is talking about QOL improvement, I'd like to talk about my most wanted QOL improvement: A big boss HP bar.

    Obligatory, make it an option. A big HP bar for boss when we are fighting them would be fantastic. There are a lot of boss that it's really hard to see the remaining health and not every build can have their cursor on the boss at all time to have the current bar stay there. It would make the fight so much better and awsome if you would enter an arena and BOOM. the bar apear signaling the player a boss encounter. It would also make lower damage build feel more impactful when landing hits on boss with a lot of HP. I swear that some of the boss sometime feel like normal enemy and a bar could really help change that.

    I first played PoE years ago and enjoyed the game a ton but after returning to it a year or two ago I kept falling away from the game due to the seasons which always lead to my friends anticipating it, grinding and enjoying hell out of it and then entering downtime until the next season. With another season looming I want to jump into the game but I'm curious if standard is still enjoyed and if there have been any other modes added. I'm at a crossroads between loving a fresh economy and a new beginning and kinda disliking how often it occurs and how standard is viewed as not so desirable due to people having so much already.

    Idea for Ascendant rework

    I think Ascendant should not be about copying the other classes, she should be a master of the general tree. They should rework her tree entirely and instead of her current copying mechanics from other ascendancies, how about giving her a tree with all stronger version Keystones. And when she chooses a Keystone, she can start pathing from that Keystone in the tree.

    Tasks:

    1. Allow players to consume multiple flasks by one button without macros.

    2. Add a new class of an item like a flask that will not break the current content but add something new and interesting.

    My idea - Flask Shaker.

    What is it?

    - New item class.

    How does it work?

    - In short, an item is like a flask, by clicking on which a predefined set of your flasks will be used at the same time.

    How it would be look?

    - I prepared an approximate version of the location of this item in the game interface on screenshot above.

    Could we get from it something more?

    - Sure! Since we are adding a whole new item class to the game, why not add more mechanics. Perhaps the shaker will improve and/or worsen the characteristics of the used flasks. And also add some new effects... may be from mixing certain flask types. And of course it may have synergy with pathfinder ascendancy.
