I just have to get this off my chest

You guys whinge about every goddamn thing. Lag, trade, blood trails, scams, dead league, lab, league mechanics, hard bosses, dying, hardcore, softcore. EVERYTHING. This reddit feels like its one goal is to turn POE into Diablo III.

Cut the crap. POE is hard. But it is fair. Yes you will die. A lot. But you can take steps to die less. Leagues are designed to be played for 3 months. Take your time and do it slowly. Stop rushing to cry here everytime you die. Bosses are meant to be learned. That friend of yours who says he does 80 billion DPS? Fuck him. Make your build tanky enough to do content.

Dev cycles take time and developers are human. They need to rest and recuperate between leagues. Stop with the constant trash talk about buggy leagues. If it bothers you so much start a league one month in. 90% of the issues will be resolved and prices will be cheaper on items.

Trade is meant to be difficult and uncompromising. Lowball some fuckers, there are no fixed prices. You will make money or they will learn pricing. GGG will make it easier to conduct this bargaining process but there will never be an auction house. Deal with it.

Finally I know being negative is a good way to get downvoted. But this sub needs to fucking hear this. Stop crying so much. There's 200% more things to praise in this game. Get some of that shit onto front page. These devs and GGG fucking deserve it.

Edit: A lot of people justifying the constant non stop complaining. No! This post is here to tell you to deal with it. Let this one game be as it is. Go complain and ruin literally any other game. I've seen what happens to games that listen to this constant crying *points to runescape*. I hope GGG ignores 90% of the complaints from here. It comes from people who don't know or can't be bothered to put any effort into the game. The devs know what they are doing. They do not need your constant nagging to water this game down to nothing.

Edit 2: seems like I hit the spot and kicked this sub where it hurts and bought all the rats out. Just all the usual suspects doing the same toxic shit they do day in day out. So many people crying, digging for dirt on me, going through my history, complaining again. I completely expected them to miss the point and downvote my thread which they did. But luckily I see that there are more people sick of their constant bitching by quite a few to keep this post alive. Faith in this sub restored.

Edit 3: thanks for the gold.

list of great arts from the Talent Competition that didn't win

    Posted: 14 Feb 2020 03:39 AM PST

    Hey guys,

I just re-watched the whole forum thread to check any arts, that were at least worth to be part of the "runners up" list. Turned out, that many of them - in my opinion - could easy have been in top20. Most of them are paitings/drawings, but there are also sculptures and cosplay. Enjoy!

The list ( chronologically, from the earliest submitted):

I feel defenses are in a weird state.

    Posted: 14 Feb 2020 01:02 PM PST

some time ago, the smart choice was to build some defense. to balance it out with your damage, giving you survivability and making your playstyle smoother. Having a character with 6k life, armor or evasion, maybe fortify and some defensive flasks made it much more comfortable to play.

Now, I feel like so much stuff is designed to be dodged, or one shot. I was doing the sirus fight, for the first time, on a bleed gladiator. I had a lot of damage, dodged most of his stuff, but every time he touched me, I died. well, of course that would be the case, I had 4.5k life, and barely any defenses!

so I changed my tree and equipment. invested a lot of currency, raised my life total to 5.8k, with 50% phys damage reduction, 77% all res, 60% attack dodge, 45% spell dodge, 70% evasion, and tried again. dealt less damage, fight dragged on longer, and as soon as he touched me... I was dead anyways.

There's so much damage in the game now that investing in defenses is barely worth it, unless you have a lot of defenses.

I don't know, i think maybe building glass cannon and accepting you will die frequently is more sensible.

What would glue you to the PoE league for longer each league?

    Posted: 14 Feb 2020 08:08 AM PST

I am usually done with the PoE league in 5-6 weeks, but I'd really love to stay longer in case there is some incentive. I think this is the case for most PoE veterans.

Question for all - what would make you stick in the game for longer each league?

ie. for me - I'd definitely stick around if there is some unique MTX reward for sc/hc SSF mode @ each league.

    Infinite Bossing Idea (via metamorph)

    Posted: 14 Feb 2020 09:12 AM PST

As folks continue to discuss ideas of metamorph going core, I just wanted to drop this weird idea here.

    1) have organs continue to drop from map bosses

    2) Add in organ tiers. (instead of organs being level 80 whatever, make them tier 1, tier 2, etc.)

    3) give metamorphs the chance to drop organs -- of a higher tier than the metamorphs were. running an all tier 4 metamorph would have a high (or guaranteed) chance of dropping one tier 5 organ. This organ would be "of" one of the 5 bosses used in the morph (or maybe there's a cooler system to make this random or whatnot. I'm not wedded to this part)

Result: a boss version of delve. Players can infinitely boss, pushing the boundaries of their boss builds. higher tier organs can add a base increase in damage/hp but can also add visible modifiers (like maps have) so players can decide which ones they think they can handle. Rewards would obviously scale up, but much like delve, they wouldn't get stellar till fairly high levels.

You could add in a mandatory invul phase or whatever is necissary at a certain tier base point so Xbillion shaper dps with no HP won't cut it. -- make it a true test of survival. (or not, depending on what the community likes)

This would open a bunch more design space. leagues could introduce new special organs from end-game bosses that can be combined to create a special boss (not just a hybrid metamorph). challenges can be added to kill a pure X tier morph. folks could compete to hit the new highest morph level the way they do delve depth. all that jazz.

Thoughts? is the base idea ok but you'd make tweaks? does this just sound terrible to you?

[Information] Private League Warning: Migrate your guild stash manually before league ends!

    Posted: 14 Feb 2020 01:54 PM PST

With the zDPS private league going on right now, we thought it would be a good timing to warn you all:

Guild stash will not migrate automatically. Do not forget to transfer your stuff or you will lose it.

A couple of friends and I decided to try having a private league for Metamorph. We're all in the same guild so we shared tons of items over the guild stash. It was basically a "group self found" league and it was a whole lot of fun!

Eventually the league ended, and we migrated all our characters and items to realize that the guild stash did not migrate. We were confused since after every normal league, the guild stash is transferred to standard. So, we contacted support.

We've been told that the only way to get these items is to pay to extend the league and get them out manually (and god knows it's a pain to remove items one by one from a guild stash). Still, we were lucky the league was still extendable, because they also told us that otherwise everything would have been lost.

Have fun transferring that stash tab full of maps!

Summon raging spirit VS summon skeletons

    Posted: 14 Feb 2020 04:11 AM PST

I wonder why so many summoners build ignore summon raging spirit in favor of summon skeletons. Anyone can help me compare them both?

Summon raging spirit is a homing mob, low mana cost and lond distance, while summon skeletons has a high mana cost, limited minions number and a lower range from what i see.

Am i missing something that makes skeletons so much better than raging spirits?
