Wrecker of Days' Stress-Free, SSF, One Button Builds Are Ready for 3.10 Posted: 12 Mar 2020 09:22 PM PDT https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2606288 Hey Everyone! I've finished updating my guides for 3.10. I design all of my guides to:
So, if you know anyone that's interested in a guide that they can either "follow to a 'T'" or simply follow loosely...or anyone that requires/prefers a "1 button" experience...these guides were made with them in mind...I mean, I guess that everyone...but still. Anyway, feel free to check them out and ask whatever questions you like. These four guides have been around for quite a few leagues now so I'm excited to have kept them relevant. Thanks for your time and good luck with all your league starts! This game just keeps on getting more and more solid. So many great QoL updates in 3.10! [link] [comments]
Here is my Elemental Hit Wander guide for 3.10 Posted: 13 Mar 2020 03:09 AM PDT https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2784902 Hello everyone. So I spent quite a lot of time preparing this setup for next league and decided to make also guide for it and share it with others in case someone really wants to league start wander. I think it will work really well mainly thanks to Wandslinger, as getting half-decent spell damage wands should be pretty simple, and I get all flat needed from Ele Hit. The DPS is looking pretty good as well (10M final PoB with Fire ele hit, ~2.2M starter setup with tabula and some basic gear with tri-ele EE ele hit). The guide currently contains leveling trees + leveling section. I decided to level with Elemental Hit from level 12 and I am planning to rush Wandslinger + EE. But if anyone has better ideas, let me know please because I am not 100% convinced that Ele Hit leveling will be very competetive, but it should be fine-ish. [link] [comments]

Sources of instant recovery in 3.10? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 04:29 AM PDT Now that spirit offering is gone, what other sources of instant recovery are there? I'm looking to build a scold's bridle build, and while somewhat ludicrous I'm wondering if there's anything I'm forgetting that would make its combination with archmage support be viable. I want to self-cast blade blast and use archmage support, with the idea of abusing its ridiculous virtual damage effectiveness modifier of 0.6*30 hits for added damage sources. [link] [comments]

Storm Brand Archmage Hierophant Posted: 13 Mar 2020 03:53 AM PDT After seeing the numbers for Archmage support, I'm ditching my previous starter plans, and jumping on this (I think). I don't have much/any experience in mana stacking/hiero builds though. And haven't played storm brand since it came out. Here are my vague thoughts (Not turned into a proper build/PoB yet). Any better suggestions, feedback welcome! - Going to start off non-crit, try and push the flat damage and cast speed as much as possible. If damage tails off, then switch to crit. Kalisa's grace should be pretty easy to sustain and help cap crit. - I was planning on just doing vanilla life + MoM. But am I gimping myself? Would EB be better? Or even CI with Sanctuary of thought? Low life an option with ivory tower, but don't want to plan for that as a starter. - EB or CI options would require Sanctuary of thought, which cuts the mana cost and hence the effectiveness of archmage. 'Free' ES and aoe is nice though, and could probably offset with fevered mind jewels and gear, but is it worth it? - If sticking to non crit, some combination of Apep's rage/shade of solaris seems like a good idea. Would lose shield charge/whirling but they will be clunky with no attack speed anyway. No fortify though. Would keep shade of solaris buff up with orb of storms + inc crit strikes. - Atziri foible would be best amulet option, which is always nice - Mostly rares everywhere makes gearing easy. Maybe Omeyocan boots if can handle the regen requirements. Though would also want to get to Acro/Phase acro then, which might be a stretch. - Chest options, Basic rare or cloak of defiance. Impulsa would be good for clear too. I'd like perfect form, but colouring it is going to be tricky. A good shadowstitch might eb an option too. Interesting thing with the archmage scaling is that gem levels are going to be a lot less important. - Looks like I'll be mostly just running around (though second wind dash/flame dash might help) and won't have any nice movement speed bonuses unless any smart ideas? LF Ball Lightning/Arc Miner Guide Posted: 12 Mar 2020 11:59 PM PDT Hello everyone! I am looking for an updated guide and PoB for the build in the title. For my first build I played Arc/Lighting Spire Traps build guide by AngryRolePlayer last league and liked the play style but found out through this Reddit that mines were much better now. Can anybody help me out? Can't wait for my first league start! [link] [comments]
Cyclone impale: gladiator or champion? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 11:29 PM PDT Hi there :) What is the easier and more tanky/more mistake forgiving build out of these two? I see alot of impale cyclone champion builds, but alot of people are suggesting to start the league as an gladiator. If possible: someone has an good starter build link? [link] [comments]
Frost Blades in 3.10 - Marauder or Duelist? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 02:40 AM PDT I have never tried Frost Blades and I consider trying it this league as my starter. I have seen a build video from Path of Exile Builds where he uses Duelist Champion. However if I look on poe.ninja and check the DPS list for Frost Blades, they are pretty much all Marauders with the highest being 84m DPS. In comparison there are only five or so Duelist players. In the video it seems to do great in both clear and bossing which is what I'm going for, but one must be better than the other. Can anyone help me out with my choice? [link] [comments]
Tri-Herald + Flicker Strike Ascendant (Help Smoothing out the Edges) Posted: 12 Mar 2020 08:11 PM PDT The idea is to make big booms with two one hand swords, three heralds, and Flicker strike to bounce around and blow everything up. Will likely use Inpulsa's. I haven't been able to find anything on a Flicker Strike Herald build and am hoping some of you lovely people can help me make this build concept a reality. Here is the tentative tree. https://pastebin.com/9R5a2MPK Would love to discuss ways to make this work with anyone willing to take the time. Thank you so much. [link] [comments]
Anyone with extensive aurabot knowledge, Scion or Guardian this league? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 11:16 PM PDT With the nerfs to Guardian, I'm curious. Girlfriend is looking to play support build this league and I don't often play support. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Mar 2020 11:02 AM PDT Mega long post trying to dissect a bit about how good stormbind will be. Consider this a warning. Stormbind seems to have really good base damage if you can ramp up the runes quickly enough. The interaction with totems is that they will place runes for you (not on top of each other, they share the same grid to fill) while you have to manually cast rune blast to pop them. 1) You can only 'upgrade' a given rune once per channeling interval of rune blast. Apparently any excess after this upgrade is sent into nearby runes. Meaning you could hypothetically take 4 fresh runes and ramp them all up to pop after three channeling intervals with enough mana cost. 2) The bonus per upgrade is very significant (100% more damage up to 3 times for 400%). If you can get to the point of upgrading multiple runes per tick then dps really soars, since casting Stormbind only adds a rune to the field (100% base damage) while upgrading multiple will result in 200%+ extra damage. 3) Runes can have an explosions AOE larger than their square so you can get multiple hits on one target, however it's probably hard to make a target take more than four hits at once (standing on the corners of four squares). Maybe nine hits is feasible with enough AOE (standing in the middle of a square). 4) Stormbind places a rune every 0.12s and runeblast channels once per 0.2s. Since you can only upgrade one stage at a time and there are three stages, runeblast will take at least 0.6s (5x longer than the SB time for one rune). 5) You can use the runeblast from skill gem A to upgrade the runes from stormbind from skill gem B. Meaning you can have a 6 link for pure SB damage and a 4 link for maximising runeblast cast speed and mana cost. The combination of 2 and 3 makes me think that you will be best off focusing on popping only a small number of runes, with respect to single target damage. No point scattering runes everywhere if the boss isn't on top of them. The combination of 1, 4 and 5 makes me think that totems will be a very strong way to play this skill, since you can both plant new runes and siphon into them this way, while benefiting from things like faster casting, arcane surge, maybe even CWC on your separate rune blast setup. But having many totems will lead to many runes spread out which isn't very damage efficient (at least not for single target, as per the previous paragraph). Your typical totem build will have 4-5 totems (1 base, 1 ancestral bond, 2 multiple totem support, 0-1 whether hierophant or not) and these will easily outpace your runeblast mana feeding. Nice for large AOE coverage for clearing I imagine, but not so good single target. And single target is what we're trying to build here. So let's say we only need 2 totems for this example, and we have a setup with Stormbind - Spell totem as 6L and Stormbind - Faster casting - Arcane Surge - Infused channeling as 4L. We'll say faster casting is about 20% more cast speed factoring in the roughly 100% increased cast speed you usually possess from wands/tree/arcane surge/frenzies etc. So you have two totems casting runes at a rate of 0.7 * 2 * 2 / 0.12 = 23.3 runes per second (remember spell totem has 30% cast speed penalty). You meanwhile are channeling rune blast at a rate of 1 * 2 * 1.2 / 0.2 = 12 times per second. If we assume that (in the best case) you have built enough mana cost increases to always upgrade all active runes one level, then you should be detonating all your runes roughly 4 times a second (since 3 casts of runeblast trigger the sequence). The average number of runes on the field at that time will be 5.83 (5-6 variably), which will all exist on a sliding scale of 'completion'. One quarter will be stage 0, one quarter will be stage 1, one quarter will be stage 2, and the last quarter will be stage 3 (aka the ones that explode first). We'll assume that all the runes pop quickly enough after each other that you don't get to upgrade the rest any more before they detonate. Let's do some napkin math (with lots of assumptions that I hope you can live with) 5.83 runes on average. 1/4 have base damage, 1/4 have 200% base, 1/4 have 300%, 1/4 have 400%. We'll say that only the 4 closest runes deal damage, which will also be the highest level runes. So take make it easy just discard the 1/4 that have base damage. Your remaining runes have 300% base damage on average. 3 x 5.83 x 0.75 = 13.1 times base damage per detonation sequence. We already said we detonate the sequence 4 times a second, so quadruple it. We'll chuck in four damage support gems on Stormbind and approximate each as 41% more damage, so you end up roughly quadrupling your damage there as well. Spell totem deals 21% less damage, cast speed has already been factored in. We'll say your passive tree/wands etc give you 700% increased damage, so multiply by 8. Already factored in cast speed. Ignore crit, simplify by going EO for 40% more. Take a quick step back before we consider auras/ascendancies/uniques. 14.6 x 4 x 4 x 0.79 x 8 x 1.4 = 1856 times base damage, per second. Stormbind's level 20 base damage is roughly 300-900, average 600. 1856 x 600 = 1.11m dps. Sounds reasonable for what is essentially an empty character save wands and passives. If you can increase rune blast's cost to 100+ this should all be easily realistic. Add auras, ascendancies, non-wand gear, higher damage passive tree, good wands, crit, you can see that stormbind seems to have potential to be a strong bosser. Just to throw out a different example of completely hand-casting Stormbind. Place 4 runes yourself (0.24s) and channel for three ticks (0.25s). All four runes explode for 400% damage -> 4 x 4 = 16 times base damage per detonation sequence. Do this every 0.49 seconds like some kind of mechanical god for roughly 32 base per second. You get to use a good damage support gem versus spell totem support, so you have 5 damage supports overall, roughly multiplying your damage by 5.6. 700% increased damage, so multiply by 8. EO 40% more. Maths. 32 x 5.6 x 8 x 1.4 = 2000 times base damage, per second. Compared to the totem's 1856, and we're assuming you have literally perfect timing on alternating channels, this is nearly identical. Interesting to see. Regarding how to scale mana cost, there are a few options: Indigon, apep's rage, doedre's malevolence, voidbringer, fevered mind. If you have runeblast 4 linked with faster casting, infused channeling and arcane surge you should take its 14 mana cost to 30.5, whichever way that rounds. To upgrade, say, 4 runes per tick, each requires 24 mana, therefore you need to increase this to 96 somehow. This can be done with roughly 220% increased mana cost of skills, or doedre's malevolence + 60% increased mana cost. I think doedre's wins this handily just in the mana department, however voidbringer is an option if you wanted more crit, and I'm certain we'll find indigon to be just as op as always. Good facebreaker or righteous fire 3.10 build? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 04:38 AM PDT I see several builds with facebreaker, but all of them seems squishy/bad dps. And for RF there is only one 3.10 and if i understand correctly it's endgame is bad. Which is surprising after seeing so many comments in patch threads talking about facebreaker or RF build. And i always wanted to try facebreaker and loved RF. Maybe someone knows actually good facebreaker/RF build? [link] [comments]
Kinetic Bolt Arc Spellslinger concept Posted: 12 Mar 2020 08:38 PM PDT Here is my rough PoB for a KBolt/Arc Spellslinger Elementalist The idea is for KBolt to crit, to trigger EO and gain power charges, and have Arc shock and cull, to trigger Herald of Thunder and Innervate. Would appreciate any thoughts on things I might be overlooking as it's my intention to league start with this. [link] [comments]
good sources of mana sustain for archmage builds? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 04:03 AM PDT So my original plan was to sustain mana with mind of the council but thats no longer possible. Currently thinking of going EB+MOM trickster with weave the arcane and patient reaper + clarity watcher's eye +essence of insanity amulet. Are there any other sources of mana sustain (ideally based on a % of your maximum mana) that I should be considering for an archmage build? [link] [comments]
Is there any viable poison AW build? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 03:53 AM PDT Curious seeing as the base physical damage and attack speed of animated weapons will be potentially huge now, and with a white socketed triads grip the amount of damage you can convert to chaos will be pretty significant. Is there any good methods of getting poisons out of that or are minions pretty dead for poison damage? [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Mar 2020 03:50 AM PDT Hello. I'd like to combine my favourite class in the game (Berserker) with my favourite item in the game (Quill rain). I think it has some potential because we are getting 150% damage/75% attack speed from rage, and another 100% attack speed from quill rain. I was thinking of stacking 3-4 heralds with all the attack speed we have to apply the herald damage. Obviously using some of the herald cluster jewels with herald effect and reduced herald reservation to try hit 4 heralds. I'll be playing on Delerium hardcore, so I'll need some level of tankiness. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
BladeBlast-BV Chain Explosion while moving? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 03:38 AM PDT Like Mines, BB explodes the charges of BV. I want to tryhard get a build running with just recasting BV fast enough to keep the explosion chain running. That way you can run through the map and unleash your charges every 2-3sec. Problem 1: is BB with enough speed nearly"Instant" to make it smooth? Problem 2: will the Chain interrupt, even when you refresh the stacks? (mine Charges do So?) Problem 3: MORE area of effect for each charged used. Will we become addicted? Too good to be makeable? Any ideas about making this possible or other concerns why it could Not work? Thx everybody :) [link] [comments]

Pyroclast still best single target for Mines? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 02:57 AM PDT Title. I'm unsure how significantly the changes to pyroclast shake its spot as the no. 1 single target mine. I plan to run it in my chest piece until I can scale arc well enough for it to be my single target. [link] [comments]

Can you think of a faster clearing build than Arc Trap? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 08:19 PM PDT My friend and I are going to be playing right at league launch. Last time, I did a summoner build which was great when I was alone, but I never kept pace with him when we mapped together. This time, my friend is starting this Arc Trap build. Any ideas on something that will clear just as fast, if not faster? [link] [comments] |
