Please GGG, make all splinters auto pick up!

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 10:20 PM PST

For this upcoming league, we are getting another set splinters to pick up. We have Breach, Legion, and now Delirium splinters. Please just make them all auto pick up. Clearly the technology is already available with how organs were set up. I don't know of a single person who enjoys clearing a Breach and then walking around the area picking up splinters one by one.

In the new league were the Delirium encounter is time limited, having these splinters drop slowing us down to pick them up is going to be problem, please address it before the league launches.

Unpopular opinion: Even though autopicking up splinters sounds good...

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 12:08 PM PST

There's a big difference between splinters and Metamorph organs.

The organs instantly disappear if you leave the area and are wiped out of existence if you don't use them.

What resembles this is the keys in Alva's temple - now those can be picked up.

However splinters require inventory management, empty space.

[Unpopular] I'm okay with map sustain being nerfed, but "fix" side content map drops please.

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 06:33 AM PST

I can agree that 3.9 sustain with zero investment (running white/blue maps can sustain T16) is a bit too much and makes for very easy mapping, especially in HC.

However, at the same time, I'd like to see Temple and Delve map drops "fixed". I know it's technically caused by the watchstones, but opening empty map chests feels absolutely awful. Often you don't get a single map from T3 temple map room or delve city.

A leaguestarter tale as old as time

Shout out to the content creators and helpful community people for helping us noobs

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 10:39 AM PST

So, I'm not particularly old, but I am a very busy guy. Work a lot in a job that is a pretty big brain drain (software development). A big reason I played Diablo II/III for so long, was because I had already sunk the cost into learning the game's mechanics, and while PoE was always interesting, learning it looked hard. I finally decided to take the plunge towards the end of Legion. I took one look at the passive tree and decided I needed help, and found Woolie's PoE for Beginners series of videos. I can honestly say, without those or similar resources, there is no chance that I would have began playing this amazing game. I made my first build (A poision assassin before the 3.8 reworks.) that failed miserably! It was a lot of fun, and managed to get to white/yellow tier mapping before my 2.8k health pool just started letting me down. I had an amazing time, taking what Woolie and others had said and putting it a bit into practice, learning to put experience to the words/videos I had watched.

For Blight, I went with bladestorm perforate champion. It looked fun and the idea of making sandstorms and blood swooshes seemed cool. (Seriously, blood stance bladestorm just sounds so satisfying). I made it to yellow/early red maps with this, and that brought me here, to the wonderful daily questions thread. I was informed that I had no idea what I was doing, rocking a 250 dps exquisite blade, and the nice people here, and several follow ups guided me through understanding the stats I was reading. Not in the abstract, but actual numbers to look for. I scrounged up enough currency for CoC Cospri's, just before a price hike (got both swords for 80c).

This trend has continued in the 6 months I've been playing, and I read a big chunk of the daily questions thread and just absorb so much information that is freely shared to help out us noobs. I league started with BA Chieftan, which again the community helped with, and switched to a blade vortex chieftan once I got the currency, based off of PoE.Ninja builds I'd found. I don't play on steam so don't know my hours off hand, but I'd be doubtful if I spent less than a couple hundred hours enjoying this game because of all the resources out there for people like me to consume and get caught up to speed. As a special bonus, I'd like to shout out to balor mage, for his dominating blow/Herald of purity low life guardian build. It is stupidly tanky once you hit ~80 or so, with over 80 in all elemental res, and I've managed to fit in about 50% chaos res. Because of that build, the fact that I suck at this game doesn't matter, and after about a month of attempts on the BV Chieftan, I got my first Sirius AL 8 kill. I then went ahead and scored a bottled faith off of a zana cortex that I only survived because his build made up for my fat fingers. I'm now at 33/40 challenges, and trying to fit in the last 3 before league ends for that sick MTX in my second league ever.

TLDR; thanks for helping a complete noob get all the info he needs and for builds that make up for me being shite at this game.

Why can't we fight lower difficulty conquerors again?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 01:01 AM PST

Note: This is my perspective as a SC SSF player that does not always spend a ton of time in the game.

I quite enjoyed the endgame after Conquerors of Atlas. New bosses and map influence are cool, and them appearing progressively and becoming more difficult little by little is a good way to progress your character.

But.... it's only good once. Then, unless you can go all the way through the red maps, you get no bosses, no map influence, no influenced loot. And since elder is now only at pretty much red tier, there's no "low-level" boss content (except Atziri).

I really enjoy the buffs that happened this league that made it harder to just easily go through all map tiers (even with my weak ass builds and no stuff from SSF before). But this means I'm kinda forced to invest a ton into a single character to make it good enough just to be able to boss at all after a while.

Before you had elder, and you had to ability to spawn it and influence at the tiers you wanted, so it was fine...

Why not giving the opportunity to get influence back at lower map tiers again? With no watchstone drops in that case of course.

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 09:53 AM PST

Is there any bow build that i can go for league starter and scale it very well into end game? Bc i really like bow playstyle with lots of move and clear speed. Of course we dont have the patch notes yet, but this will halep me plan my league starter.
