Delirium Maps - Oooo, piece of candy!

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 09:24 PM PDT

[SUGGESTION] Opening a map with an offering of the godess gives the map a random uber lab trial

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 11:09 PM PDT

Basically an easy way to eliminate the randomness of finding uber lab trials, without it being unreasonable, since in order to keep getting trials and complete all of them you need to run every single one in your maps, in order to get the offering back.

Even if you keep getting duplicates , you should still be able to grind for it and have a somewhat natural progression, instead of getting to level 90 without having found the last trial or waiting in global 820( which is a mess nowdays anyway) in trade leagues. Thoughts?

[LOOTFILTER] NeverSink's Itemfilter 7.8.6 - High strictness improvements and final touches for delirium

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 08:33 AM PDT

    [LOOTFILTER] NeverSink's Itemfilter 7.8.6

Influence item tiering improvements, hidden low unique maps, better unique and divination filtering and some final touches. This is likely the last structure update for Delirium (the economy-updated versions still get updates every 4 hours). My filter-work time will now be focused on new features/content and maybe a few videos.

https://filterblade.xyz/ - is of course also updated!

    Filter and Styleversions

Higher strictnesses filter more items. The general rule is that: the faster you are, the less you want to pick up, because in the time you'd take care of a higher quantity of items, you can kill more monsters and get a higher chance at expensive loot and experience. You can start with Regular/Semi-Strict first (great for new players and leagues) and simply up the strictness from the option menu, once you feel like you want to see less.

    Nr Name Short Description
0 Soft Shows too much. Includes low crafting bases, magic jewellery in the endgame. Not recommended for regular gameplay.
1 Regular Shows a lot. Recommended for beginners, new leagues and slow-clearing gameplay. Shows all rares. Good for chaos recipes.
2 Semi-Strict Healthy balance. Great for new leagues and beginners and medium-speed endgame gameplay. Hides the worst rares. Good for chaos recipes.
3 Strict Hides bad-base rares and scrolls. Recommended endgame strictness. Hides random gems (hold alt in the first zone if you level with it). Bad for chaos recipes.
4 Very Strict Hides most rares, scrolls, augments, armourers. Good for the endgame and for farming once your character is well equipped.
5 Uber Strict Hides all low currencies and rares. Great for speed-farming, once you have a highly optimized build and atlas!
6 Uber+ Strict Shows too little. Sterile screen. Hides all kind of stuff, including mediocre divination cards, all kind of crafting material etc. Recommended for high-speed clearing, once your character is top tier geared, your atlas complete and optimized and you're breezing through maps very fast!

Styles have no effect on how strict the filter is, but change the visual and audio configuration. Find one that pleases your eye most or make your own on https://www.filterblade.xyz . FilterBlade also comes with a preview comparison/feature for styles and strictnesses.

Activate all your Auras in no Time with this simple Trick

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 09:12 AM PDT

Is it sinful that I miss Synthesis?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 08:59 AM PDT

Synthesis by all metrics was a bad league. On release it was a hot mess: crashes and bugs ran rampant, map sustain was negative, the mechanic was half-realized and confusing. Crafting the fractured items usually meant turning 3 items worth 6 alt shards into 1 item worth 2 alt shards. You could go on and on about this league and why it was bad.

But I miss it. I miss the old dude and how hilarious it was to run past him while levelling. I miss the insane soundtrack that you can almost never hear in-game anymore. I miss having these side-zones every map that gave you little lore snippets. I miss finding fractured items that were actually kinda cool, and finding out what they could be combined into. I miss the aesthetics of the blue... memory fog gunk, and the aesthetics of all the other stuff! Sure it was deeply flawed but with some iterations it could have been one of the coolest things to go core.

Now, we get a hollow experience of it. A couple of unique maps that Zana can offer, that aren't explained to new players, that people farm in hopes of getting the flask. A handful of other unique items, most of which are worthless. No bumbling floaty man, no mechanics. I don't know, it just makes me sad to think of what could have been you know?

[DSC] Giving away full set of Arc Herald gear (Low Life Guardian)

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 10:34 AM PDT

This league was fun but I'm done. I enjoyed giving away my stuff a few leagues ago so I figured I would do it again. I would estimate I've put about ~45 ex into this character but that might be low.

This is a COMPLETE set of gear/gems/clusters/jewels for LL Arc Guardian. The best thing is that you don't have to know what you're doing to start this up. If you win you can just grab all of the gear, level a Guardian, and just straight up copy my PoB. Then turn all of your auras on, put Arc on right click, and farm the game. I killed Sirus 8, UE was insanely easy, 100% Delirious Minotaur was a joke, and full level 20 Sims are on easy farm. Stats in H/O: 6,609 ES, ~2 million tooltip. PoB Fork shows something like 12 million. You can take a look at it all here:

    https://pastebin.com/rGgZqCji or

    https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Nalroc/characters (Corlan_Heralds)

    Highlights:

    • 3x 7 Point Voices
    • 5x PH/Endbringer Clusters
    • 4 PH/Heraldry Clusters
    • 21/23 Vaal Arc, 5/20 Awakened Cold Pen. All other gems at 20/20 or 21
    • All required uniques: 6L Shavs, 48% CotBs, Maligaros, Nebulis, etc

With all of this said there is a TON of room for improvement. 5 point Voices, mana res jewels, and Doryani's are all obvious next steps but the investment options are literally limitless (3 point and 1 Point Voices, etc). You can absolutely play this for the rest of the league and not run out of things to do.

How to win: Just comment here. I'm going to pick one at random. The only rules are one comment per user and no brand new Reddit accounts. I'm also not going to let this run for long. I'll pick at 6:30 PM EST (5 hours from the time of this post). Good luck everyone!

Finished my first 3D printed sculpt today!

I bought a 3D printer (Anycubic Photon S) a few months ago, and with the quarantine in place I have enough free time to play around with it. As a big fan of PoE I decided my first print would be a Chaos Orb as the forms are not all that complicated and would give me the opportunity to learn about setting up optimal supports, curing, weighting, and painting. I sculpted the model in Zbrush and setup the print file in Chitubox. After the print finished I filled it with lead and plaster to add weight so it feels quite substantial. Then I sanded and painted. Definitely learned a few things about printing and plan to print more for friends.

Ten Delirium Builds Reviewed - with Ratings

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 10:54 PM PDT

Due to quarantine and general restartitis, I played a lot more builds than usual this league. Some were better than others, I hope my experience can be useful - here's a quick rundown and review of all ten.

I played each up to at least the mid-80s, further into the early 90s if it was fun.

    Animate Weapon (Cold Conversion) Necromancer

Easy league starter and bossing character, with very high damage on little investment. Main downside is slightly clunky playstyle, and having to resummon minions on leaving a map to trade or go to new zone. I also played the physical/impale version of the build which is also good. Would play again.

    Triple Herald Blade Vortex Scion

    • Budget: Medium

    • Bossing: Low

    • Clear: High

    • Tanky?: Low

    • Gimmick: Trying to stack Endbringer cluster notables while running 3 heralds.

    • POB: https://pastebin.com/wJUUN8RJ

    • Rating: 3/10

I tried out this build before the real meta Purposeful Harbinger stacking build was widely publicized. A speedy glass cannon character that tries to chain Herald of Ice explosions for fast clearing, but tended to get popped and die easily. Best forgotten and never mentioned again.

    Non-Crit "Lucky" Arc Elementalist

    • Budget: Medium

    • Bossing: Medium-Low

    • Clear: Medium

    • Tanky?: Low

    • Gimmick: Using "Supercharge" notable with non-crit lightning spells to scale damage.

    • POB: https://pastebin.com/9vJnvf4N

    • Rating: 6/10

Having "lucky" damage on Arc is actually about a 25-30% "more" damage multiplier. I also attempted to scale effectiveness of the Wrath aura with Supreme Ego (Elegant Hubris-Chitus) to get the damage higher. This was only moderately successful. Arc is a great clear skill in its own right but this character felt weak against the tougher Delirium mobs.

    Glacial Cascade Totem Hierophant

This was an attempt to push the aura scaling with Supreme Ego (which is a 50% "more" multiplier on any other increased aura effect) with Hatred on Glacial Cascade totems - which double dip from both sides of the Hatred buff. The result was pretty excellent damage. Totems have some defensive edge but not quite enough to make up for the otherwise glass cannon nature of the build - but the idea has potential.

    Fire Trap Chieftain

    • Budget: Medium-Low

    • Bossing: Medium

    • Clear: Medium

    • Tanky?: Medium

    • Gimmick: Converting mana into armor with Power Of Purpose (Militant Faith-Avarius) and casting all spells with Blood Magic and Slavedriver's Hand unique gloves.

    • POB: https://pastebin.com/9rip1zPR and Video

    • Rating: 7/10

I like DOT builds and hadn't played a trapper in a long time. The burning DPS on this was solid but traps in general are clunky - the small delay between the throw and the damage feels like an eternity sometimes. This build stacks up a reasonable amount of armor but the awkwardness of traps cuts against its survivability. I had a good time playing it however.

    Bane/Soulrend Occultist

    • Budget: Medium-Low

    • Bossing: Low

    • Clear: High

    • Tanky: Medium

    • Gimmick: Maxing out Dodge chance on a caster, and Wind Dancer (Brutal Restraint-Deshret) to reduce one-shots.

    • POB: https://pastebin.com/2tSMSFks

    • Rating: 8/10

Just a super smooth playstyle, and another I'd be happy league-starting with. Soulrend feels great to clear with and then Bane for the big stuff. Some weakness in handling bosses. Acrobatics feels excellent on an Occultist but the character needs a higher HP pool still to avoid unlucky one-shots. Very fun to play.

    Divine Ire Ignite Trickster

    • Budget: Medium

    • Bossing: Weak

    • Clear: Very High

    • Tanky: Low

    • Gimmick: use Stormfire ring to allow lightning from Divine Ire to ignite mobs.

    • POB: https://pastebin.com/x3QwbTri

    • Rating: 5/10

This amplified both the strengths and weaknesses of Soulrend - Great build for delve and rapidly clearing maps, but even worse for bossing as standing still to channel up a big Divine Ire feels awful. I really want ignite to be good because it's one of my favorite mechanics, but even with pretty heavy investment I keep being frustrated by it.

    Facebreaker Cyclone Impale Champion

    • Budget: Variable?

    • Bossing: High

    • Clear: Low

    • Tanky?: High

    • POB: go to poe.ninja and search "Facebreaker".

    • Rating: 9/10 (on pure power level. For me, Fun was 4/10)

After several characters that fell flat against bosses, I wanted something I knew would be good. Facebreaker is a classic, and with Fortify-effect nodes and lots of Impale, it doesn't disappoint. Unfortunately I realized I just don't like Cyclone all that much, and quit playing this around the mid-80s, but it's a good build - just not for me.

    Poison Blade Vortex Pathfinder

Uses Divine Flesh (Glorious Vanity-Xibaqua), Golden Rule, and Apep's Supremacy for really excellent resistances. Felt very solid to play and didn't get killed a lot, relative to a pretty high clear speed. Loses slightly on rating because the gear felt so inflexible, I felt the power capped out pretty quickly - and Blade Vortex still doesn't feel great to me against bosses, as you just have to stand there until it dies. Golden Rule also leads to occasional awkwardness and random deaths before resistances are all the way up - But a good build.

    Holy Flame Totem Scion

    • Budget: High

    • Bossing: Medium-High

    • Clear: Medium

    • *Tanky: High

    • Gimmick: Scaling Herald of Ash effect, Glancing Blows (Lethal Pride-Kiloava) for max block, and Offering to the Serpent for constant leech off totems.

    • POB: https://pastebin.com/MFQspNkj

    • Rating: 9/10

Sick of getting killed by Delirium, went as far as I could on defenses. Scion gets the +1 totem from Hierophant and totem leech from Chieftain. I used jewels to get block chance, and Lone Messenger to scale Herald of Ash. I was proud of how this build turned out, with the one thing stopping it from reaching 10/10 being the extremely poor mana sustain - no choice but to use a flask.

Anyway, that is all. I'm pretty much done with the league now except for a Bleed Bow Gladiator I'm going to tinker with a bit here and there. Hope this was helpful, or at least entertaining for somebody!
