Very tired of trying and finally asking for help Posted: 15 Jul 2020 08:28 PM PDT Hey guys, I've been playing PoE since back when Dominus was the last boss. I've always somewhat followed a guide here or there but I've started experimenting with my own builds around Incursion. I took a massive break after Legion and came back for Harvest and went for my standard CoC Ice nova guy, this time CI. While that was great and all, it gets old fast, my profile on PoE has like 7 assassins on standard. So.. I tried to go a different route and tried the VD necro everyone was going crazy about. Had some fun with it, absolutely hated bossing with it. Especially Sirius A8 (which has been there since Conqueror's but it's new for me). Now, I cooked up a Scion, which is what I'm currently playing and kinda having fun with it but REALLY struggling with A8 Sirius (bricked 4 times so far). The other conquerors are fine but Sirius has been screwing me over sideways horribly. This is my current PoB https://pastebin.com/MVFNyAur. It doesnt show the Glorious vanity but yeah, there's a divine flesh allocated there. And please ignore the amethyst ring, I'm still trying to fix that slot. I can't seem to scale the damage any higher, my budget got screwed horribly by that cloak of defiance (3800 fuses), I'm low on cash atm but if I have a direction, I can figure out what to improve and how. Any help is appreciated!!! Thank you!!! [link] [comments]
My first from scratch build, Ice Crash, max block Warcry Gladiator Posted: 16 Jul 2020 02:17 AM PDT I wanted to play around with Warcries and Ice Crash was just pretty, so I've been working on this build since league start. Nothing fancy yet as far as equipment goes, Ideally a + crit chest and a ring with frostbite on hit would be a better choice, but I've only put maybe 2-3 Ex worth of currency into this build. Handles T16 just fine, and while single target isn't great, with a little work this could get up to 1m Shaper DPS pretty easy, at least according to PoB. Let me know what you think, and any suggestions. [link] [comments]
Please help ne to fix this CoC Ice Nova Cyclone Assassin Posted: 16 Jul 2020 01:45 AM PDT Hi all, I have recently built this: I must admit that I had no experience with Cyclone, CoC, Ice Nova, Cospris before, and my idea was learning by doing. But somehow it doesnt work properly and I keep dying in T12-T13 alched, which should not happen according to what I was told. What I noticed is that I have no recovery mechanic for Life, I linked Life Leech in one of Cospris and then even tried using two in both of them, but in fight I never see Life going back up until I press a Life flask. Overall I feel I overestimated myself. I am not really able to get this build properly running without help from someone else. I could struggle and level up to 90 probably, but the deaths are so frustrating that it is no fun at all. Thanks in advance and stay safe. [link] [comments]
looking for a boss/single target bd with relatively cheap budget Posted: 16 Jul 2020 12:35 AM PDT My starter this league is a freezing pulse totem, has pretty map clearing can do T16 and all conquerors easily, but Sirius is a bit tough for me, I am looking for another bd that 1) have sufficient damage to take down Sirius in reasonable time 2) good survivability(8 out of 10 times I dies to the DIE beam) 3) relatively cheap gear-wise, I am looking for something roughly under 10ex budget. I am open to most suggestions except summoners bd, that is really not my thing. Thanks a lot! [link] [comments]
New casual player beginner build Posted: 15 Jul 2020 12:03 PM PDT Hello there, I tried poe some years ago but i never got really into it. now i think my body and mind are ready to start. As the title says i am a pretty casual gamer. i know that poe is all about builds and respeccing options are rare as far as i know. so i was wondering if there is a good beginners build that is fun to play, mostly self found and not too farm intesive. i dont care getting to the highets levels i just want to enjoy most of the content and get the most out of the game. i usually like summoner type / or caster builds if that helps. any advice for a new player is also appreciated (e.g. the best sources for great beginners guides) thanks in advance! p.s.: non native english speaker. Can someone explain to me why my charecter gets one shot to A5 Baran ? Posted: 15 Jul 2020 06:40 AM PDT 5.3k life, 7 endu charges, 10% phys to fire damage taken from the chieftain regen node, about 10% life regen and about 81% phys reduction. so why the hell do I still get 1 shot by Baran's basic ranged attack, the three bolts ? what am I doing wrong ? Low Life vs Non-LL VD Necro - Some questions before choosing Posted: 16 Jul 2020 12:19 AM PDT Hey guys, I'm leveling my Witch at the moment to become a VD spellslinger. I'm currently undecided as to if I should go LL/non-LL, with a budget of approxiamtely 30ex. I was leaning towards the LL version as I would expect its single target to be much better, but I had some concerns:

Any general tips for getting into making your own builds? Posted: 15 Jul 2020 03:03 PM PDT I've become very interested in making my own build for next league and I'm looking for some tips. I literally haven't decided anything about the build yet, but things like: How much life should the tree give for life based builds? What about for ES? Or if you go CI? How do I choose which character/ascendency to go? Are there any skills or build ideas that just aren't viable that I should avoid? Any and all help is appreciated. [link] [comments]

Caustic Arrow vs ED Trickster for second season player? Posted: 15 Jul 2020 06:16 PM PDT TL;DR I'm going to follow this Caustic Arrow Ranger or this ED Trickster Context based on lurking and seeing generic "what build?" posts wanting more context. Here ya go: This is the first game I've played through "the content" more than once in many years...like Mario World on Wii. I'm R.O.B. old. This is my second season (season and a half may be better expression). After a few of character tries (a marauder, duelist, and a ranger) just to see if I liked the game, I (mostly) followed a guide for a minion necromancer from Furty. I made it to lvl 77 before Harvest started. Lots of minions and I was using VD on my minions' bounty. So far in Harvest: - Started with Ground Slam Slayer and finished initial content at lvl 66. I hit lots of plateaus along the way on this one. Not sure if I just don't have a good handle on positioning and attack mechanics for melee, but I just didn't enjoy it. - I have a VD Spellslinger leveling now (38 currently). I was doing similar with my first necro build - just lots more buttons. This current build makes me feel like I have a chance to get far enough into end game content without breaking the bank. I'm also the type of player that knows I'm not as quick as I was doing slaps only or proximity mines in the temple. I'm going to start a new character to play with a couple other more experienced players (I pitched that idea from a comment I found while lurking on here... kudos to u/ ihavenoideawho). It's the person that got me into it and his friend that got him into it, so I'm definitely benefiting from lots of experience. Best advice he gave me was play through and enjoy the game and the story. I did. I figured out by Act V, I could dig into this game. (I bought the blood pack last season to get premium stash tabs and will do another package to get some specialized stash tabs as a hat tip to the developers. Probably this weekend if stash tab sale happens.) I started with Caustic Arrow my very first run through as a ranger. I only made it to level 15ish before deciding I liked the game enough to put some effort/planning into it. That's when I leveled the necro. And by planning I mean follow someone who has put lots of time into a character and build guide. I really dig this community - even people battle hardened enough to be made about a dude's car. The Trickster is one I haven't tried that looks most appealing. I have looked at enough builds to know I'm not ready for an Ascendant. This post took much longer than expected, so I may not get to see all the comments before we start tonight. But these two characters are on my shortlist of characters to try, so I'll probably try both at some point. I'm going to follow this Caustic Arrow Ranger or this ED Trickster with them. I saw other characters I liked I wanted to try, but I narrowed it down to these two. Based of budget/beginner friendly and really easy to follow guides because the plan is to blast through the content, and I want to be able to keep moving without slowing them down. That's where I am at. What would you pick? If you made it this far and want to recommend another build to try next, the least I could do is check it out. [link] [comments]
A8 bosskiller in private league, any suggestions? pls help Posted: 15 Jul 2020 07:11 PM PDT the guild im in and i are playing "guild ssf", we're in a private league (SC) with all dmg mods, +2 proj and 40% inc monster life. i cant for the life of me figure out what bossing build would be he best for this so any suggestions would be welcome [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jul 2020 05:50 PM PDT I've finally got my health to a decent level (almost 5k) but now I'm just ZDPS... I use spectral shield throw with impale, with follow through + chain support to handle bosses... but I just don't do enough damage period. My defenses feel fine but killing red tier conquerors just takes forever which means I usually end up dying anyway. Mobs just take too long to kill on red tier maps in general... Anybody have any ideas? I really hope I don't have to start a new character because I just feel stuck at this point. [link] [comments]
Any viable mana stacking/archmage builds that still work? Posted: 15 Jul 2020 08:22 PM PDT Hey, after rerolling my builds countless of times this league its turn for me to get my hands on some archmage builds. Do u guys have any recommendation of a build that is good all-rounder in terms of clear, bossing and survability? I would also love to sustain permanent RF since its my fetish. I would also like to prioritize clear speed and quality of life over pianist playstyle. And if nothing is in good shape any agnostic build will do. [link] [comments]
Thoughts from people who’ve played around with 2H builds in 3.11 Posted: 15 Jul 2020 10:01 PM PDT Been playing a vortex/CS occ and it's treated me great. Does t16 no problem, conquerors easy, nice to drop a dot and be able to focus on just dodging as it ticks. However I really want to play around with a 2H slam/cry character to try out the changes next. I am extremely torn between which main skill to focus on, between sunder, EQ, GS, or the new earthshatter. I'm sure all of them could do red maps fine once geared but which would chunk down bosses the best? Likewise which ascendancies are optimal? I see plenty of berserkers for the Dps of course, but some chieftains too that use phys to fire damage, and of course juggs that just facetank. I've never dedicated myself to bringing a melee character far and would just like to hear what some of you who've rolled 2H this league have experienced so far, preferably from an endgame perspective (A8 Sirus, T16's, etc). Thanks in advance for any advice. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jul 2020 03:18 PM PDT Hey guys, im struggling to pick my next character. I wanna play iceshot badly but im feeling like as a bosser, it sucks to conquerors/sirus since u gotta stay stationary for barrage. And ofcourse u die to anything easily. On CoC ice nova im loving the clear speed, but something tells me they are poor bosses. Any suggestions on similar builds or thoughts on what I said to help steer my mind into the right build? Posted: 15 Jul 2020 04:02 PM PDT hey guys im looking for a build that can do 100% delirium maps, the fractured strat solo. got about 50-75 ex to spend. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jul 2020 12:26 AM PDT Im think of buying the jewel for divine flesh but im not really sure how big of and upgrade its is. Also thinking of buying a warlord's exalted orb for the helm and try to craft - fireres and again im not sure if it would be better to invest in something else. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jul 2020 11:22 PM PDT Anyone got a good CI Wander build? Currency doesnt matter since Im playing on standard. Thanks [link] [comments]
Map clear comparison for mine builds Posted: 15 Jul 2020 11:42 AM PDT Hey guys, I haven't played a miner before and I'm interested in trying one out to up my boss killing game. However, I understand their clear/mapping is generally underwhelming. I was wondering what type of mines you guys find strikes the best balance for bossing and map clear? Or if someone can recommend a good mine build that has good clear (perhaps with a second 6L for clearing?) [link] [comments]
Is there a SSF for dummies guide? I'm ready for the challenge Posted: 15 Jul 2020 10:17 AM PDT I'm confident in my ability to get to A8 in trade league on any build non troll build. I am literally not confident in my ability to cap resistances in ssf by bench crafting haha. I am not confident in myself in SSF because I need to take advantage of EVERY game mechanic out there... So if there is a guide that will help me transition from trade to ssf I'd be extremely grateful if you can share it. Is there a guide I can use that will kinda point me how to progress without fixing every problem with currency? How to league start in an ssf sense and maybe try new wonky off meta builds like ele hit elementalist or ice crash jugg? How to craft actually modest items? Which bases are best for me due to affixes? And how to set a loot filter solely based off those affixes and currency? [link] [comments]

Build advice single target carry for group play Posted: 15 Jul 2020 11:37 AM PDT Hi, Me and two friends are looking to start a group, me bing the aoe carry, another friend the aura support, and one guy being the single target carry. We're having trouble finding a good build for single target carry, since snap OW doesn't specify a single target carry in his videos. Any recommendations? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Looking for a Rare Bow for Iceshot/Barrage Posted: 15 Jul 2020 04:12 PM PDT I'm curretly looking to up the damage of my Deadeye, it does well but I'm feeling that if I want to fight A8 Sirus and killing Delirium bosses I will struggle, so I think the easist way to do better is with a better bow. Currently I'm using a death opus, and I have look some builds on poe ninja to copy the bows but I don't know which one will be better suited for my build. My current POB is https://pastebin.com/azwB1A7V [link] [comments]
What is the lowest cost build to do end game bosses? Posted: 15 Jul 2020 01:08 PM PDT Had my first exalt of the league drop last night. Came from a Metamorph in Tane's Lab. I miss previous league mechanics .... but that's neither here nor there. My goal this league is to try to do all of the endgame bosses etc. I'm curious what people would say is the lowest cost build (ideally <1 exalt) that could be expected to complete end game content (through Sirus A8) without taking ages upon ages or dying very frequently. Include in this cost every gear item that couldn't be easily crafted with the bench or using T1 seeds. Extra points if the answer isn't zombie/skeleton/specter. [link] [comments]
Help finding a build I'll actually enjoy putting a lot of hours into. Posted: 15 Jul 2020 11:12 AM PDT So I'll start this by saying that Delirium was my first League. In that League is started as Frost Blades raider, rerolled into CoC CI Ice Nova, then had a Herald Stacker and then a self curse cyclone HH character. I have a lot of time on my hands and I'm willing to farm up and play any build. The goal is to spend a lot of time playing, go for the 40 challenges, and spend some fun time farming on my own or with my few friends who are still playing. I really enjoy playing a build that scales very well with investment. That being said, I don't like builds that feel awful with low investment. Obviously, there's nothing like the last two characters in this league. I didn't really enjoy Frost Blades because the evasion based build meant I just died randomly in the middle of otherwise easy going maps. The other 3 builds I all enjoyed greatly. This League I have rerolled so many times that my friends make jokes about how I am constantly levelling things. I have not really fully enjoyed any build yet and I'm hoping that by pieceing together the issues I've had with various builds that you guys might be able to suggest to me something that I can go the distance with and hit the 40/40 challenges. So far I have played each of these builds to somewhere between 20-40ex of investment.
2.5. WoC arcanist brand. Got nerfed just as I hit maps. RIP.
I would say I prefer to play builds with a little more visual flair to them. I'm probably going to get bored if what I'm playing as doesn't look fun or have some kind of interesting interaction going on that I can spend time trying to min max. This leaves me with the following at maps ready to go: Assassin, Trickster, Necro, Inquisitor, Sion. But I also have some Seven-League steps and I don't mind levelling things. Any suggestions you guys have are more than welcome and will most likely get tried. [link] [comments] |
