I feel like things are going downhill

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 08:29 AM PDT

After the release of this bugged mess of a league (which still isnt fixed by any means), the very poor supporter packs that came with it and the new copy paste one texture hideouts for 15$ i feel like we have reached an all time low. The quality of the provided content has gone downhill quite heavily. I love this game, but this development worries me alot. Is this as bad as it can be, or will things get even worse next league? I personally decided to not support this development anymore, therefore i will not be buying supporter packs/mtx anymore. Whats your opinion about the current situation?

    Never Stop Complaining

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 09:01 AM PDT

I've seen a lot of commentary centering around the community's reactions to everything PoE. A sizeable portion of that, at least from what I've seen, are people suggesting that all of the negativity is unneeded or unhelpful. While it is important to try and be constructive with one's feedback, just like publicity there is no such thing as bad feedback.

Even if a player can't articulate why they don't like something, sharing the fact that they do not is worthwhile. Really, it's invaluable. While this could be considered the lowest form of feedback, the community also consistently breaks every mechanic there is to break, posting in depth analysis and number crunching to back up its assertions. I don't want to understate how helpful that is. I feel pretty safe in speaking for myself and other amateur or hobbyist game designers that having the level of depth and breadth of criticism and critique that PoE gets would be a complete game changer.

I'm not going to tell you that GGG uses that information perfectly, or that they ignore it all, or something in between. I don't want to speculate on how they handle their business. Mark Rosewater, the head designer of Magic: The Gathering said something that stuck with me. Paraphrased: "Players are very good at identifying problems in your game, and very bad at fixing them." Even if every highly voted suggestion that appears on the front page isn't added to the game, or if the suggestions you do see seem terrible to you, I think its helpful to remember that the identification of issues and communicating about them is more than half the battle on our end.

I hope to continue to see a host of complaints, and that the people who post them (as long as they do so civilly) don't get discouraged. You are invaluable.

$14.50 for a single horribly repeating copy+paste ground texture... this is a new low

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 08:00 PM PDT

    What a scam

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 12:54 AM PDT

Just a gentle reminder to GGG that all of the league-based map drops still ignore awakening level or atlas completion status when dropping maps

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 06:23 AM PDT

These in particular: heist map stashes, delirium map reward, blight map stashes, betrayal encounter "drop a map" choice, incursion map room stashes, legion map stashes, delve city map stashes, organ map drops are still dropping white and yellow maps with 140+ atlas/bonus completion and awakening level 8 and it is quite disheartening. It would be so satisfying if this was corrected and all encounters/stashes would drop appropriate level of maps. This used to work properly and it really should again.

Your typical 'XXX mil shaper dps' build guide pob

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 09:28 AM PDT

1 month into the league and Heist is still buggy. Why release half made content. if anything you should release content complied with the QA team and then add more content in between league that are not a part of challenges but just something extra.

Minions AI broke in recent patch. for some players the drops seem to be affected as well. can some quality assurance be done before releasing new things? Just my honest suggestion. sorry if it sounded rude.

Anyone else experience stuttering or lag entering delirium?

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 06:11 AM PDT

My FPS and latency have been fine for the most part. Just when I enter the delirium on a map it starts to stutter and I get little spikes here and there. Not sure what's causing it. Wondering if someone has a fix for this or advice on how to make it stop?

    Love for POE and sadness

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 07:25 AM PDT

Been a supporter for ~4 years. I don't play as much as some people on this sub, not even close to most from the items and progression I see... I find myself living vicariously through alot of posts because of the content I don't achieve (love all of you here) and I love to support the game with a yearly 60$ purchase because it scratched my d2 itch and added a whole lot more for me.... But damn It feels like content is drifting from what it once was and it's painful to see a blizzard (Activision) like similarity here with the degradation of content and influx of mtx, Damn heist was invasive as all hell...

How does this move forward seemlessly that is less impactful for player base but continues what seems to be the mandatory growth that GGG is required to provide to owners... I mean we have a massive expansion en route but that doesn't change what needs to be quality beforehand.
