Posted: 16 Dec 2020 10:29 PM PST Planning on going facebreaker cyclone gladiator for flaskback and noticed almost every build uses rigwalds curse for the amulet. However none of the trees grab claw nodes and only a few use claw bonuses on jewels. Is the amulet +7% base crit? or why is it so much better than a well crafted rare? sorry if stupid question [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 17 Dec 2020 01:15 AM PST Hej, I am combing back from a longer semi-hiatus and i would like to actively join SSF-flashback. I liked the safety of golem/minion builds and the SSF-friendly gear-insensitivity, but found the gameplay often very passive and unsatisfying. I tried to come up with an active minion build that has me doing significant damage as well, but i struggle to get above 500k combined shaper damage (minions+active skill), mostly because i am not very good at PoB, I think. My goal is to reach high reds and have fun along the way. But having a go at Sirus before he fades out would be nice, I have only seen him once. Here is the idea of the built: Golemancer herald of purity/ash Purifying flame as active skill, avatar of fire for full conversion reasoning: -purifying flame synergizes well with both buffs of avatar of purity/ash. - elementalist makes running buffed herald of purity cheap - full conversion to fire makes it possible to build around fire golems (which provide significant damage buffs through golemancer) - Consecrated ground helps minion survival and helps keeping elemental overload up Currently, my fire Golems hit like wet noodles on PoB and my strongest minions are the heralds of purity. This is bad because i find it difficult to make herald of purity synergize well with the buffs i have available. Suggestions for Flashback build Posted: 17 Dec 2020 04:23 AM PST So during the rest of heist, I ended up playing a really fast speed mapper flicker strike build. It zoomed, obtained a lot of currency and also died a lot. Now I wanna try making tankier builds since I'm kinda sick of dying. Never really interacted with heist, so with it probably disappearing from the game for awhile figure I'd make a build that's good for heisting during flashback to experience it. But I'm unsure what I want to play in particular. Something along these lines:
I was looking into replica alberons wander but wasn't sure if that would be tanky enough to do heists. Otherwise kinda seemed like max block cyclone glad would be my other obvious option. Haven't played an energy shield build before so that could be cool, but unsure if tanky enough to reliably do heists. Any suggestions for stuff that I'm not thinking of? [link] [comments] | ||
hey so i was planning to build a spark arcanist brand character and i have some questions Posted: 16 Dec 2020 10:36 PM PST So to my knowledge spark travels until either its hits are used up or its duration is used up, increases to duration increase how long each spark can last and hence travel, projectile speed increased how far each spark can travel before it expires if any of this is wrong please correct me also is there a limit to this like a set number of units thats a hard cap on how far it can travel? i saw somewhere 150 units but that could be old info when using arcanist brand there is a line that says "projectiles have a max travel distance, does anyone know the limited distance and also i assume this effects spark right? assuming arcanist brands cap does effect spark is there any possible way too increase this cap? also when using fork instead of pierce on spark to my knowledge each time a spark with an additional fork hits an enemy it dissapears and a new one is created right? so are these additional forks effected by the cap of the previous spark or do they have their own caps/set distance and i assume if they do this is based from where they are created and not where the arcanist brand is casting from? thanks in advanced :) [link] [comments] | ||
Augyre Build Theory Crafting Help Posted: 16 Dec 2020 06:15 AM PST I hate this unique, i am trying to make my own build around this item for a long time now like 1-2 months. I suck at it. My new perception/goal is: i should pick an ascendancy and a skill combination that would work so well if they were closer to the rt or/and(preferably both) eo. My skill is gonna be a %50 lightning conversion one. Want to shock the target in eo phase and deal big damage in rt phase, rinse repeat. For this i will need huge lightning damage, increased effect of shock/non-damaging elemental ailment, increased duration of shock/non-damaging elemental ailments(for shock to endure rt phase) i like the charged dash because it lets me use augyre and hand of wisdom and action claw which would give the build a lot of needed flat damage by int. stacking and a movement skill not prohibited by the weapon types. another idea is ailment stacking with unique items: frostbreath, algor mortis, yoke of suffering and stormfire ring with maybe elementalist ascendancy for the confluxes it gives. (chill and ignite resources: confluxes,arctic armour+prolif,maybe cwdt+coldsnap or beacon of madnees boots with confluxes) Well i am lost and overwhelmed at this point. Since you can get the challenges done during the flashback event, what build would you recommend doing to quickly get 36 challenges done? Bosses, deep delve, etc none of that matters. Posted: 16 Dec 2020 10:57 AM PST Sorry if it has been asked a lot. I have been trying to find very detailed, you know absolutely nothing, ELI5 beginner builds. There are so many that assume knowledge of the game or just focus on 'here's what you should be aiming for at end game'. But I kind of need my hand held a bit more. Like I was reading a guide that basically went like this:
Like, what other skill gems should I get? What support gems should I link? Also would appreciate any tips / guides on just understanding the currency system. It's very weird and I have no idea what I'm going to get from selling something. Should I be identifying blues / yellows and selling them? What sorts of orbs / scrolls should I be stockpiling, etc. Sorry if this sounds cranky. I am really interested in the game but it is a bit daunting for a newbie. [link] [comments] | ||

I'm into red maps now and getting killed when I get stuck on terrain or in higher HP mobs (like the rattle cage guys) because they don't pop right away. High phys one-hits and larger AOE spells also give me trouble now. Can anyone see any defensive layers that I can fit into the build fairly easily without sacrificing much? Ideally from the skill tree or flasks, as the gear should be magic to maximize Hidden Potentials global damage scaling (screen wide obliteration pops when offense is the best defense). any other optimizations?
