Looking for a new build in the new league.

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 11:33 PM PST

I always seem to fall into the same rut. Either cyclone or minions.

I really love to play high mobility builds that aren't squishy.

I'm looking for something that's reasonably zoom zoom but smooth.

    Any suggestions?

    TIA

Is my only option to yolo exalt? I got super lucky and annuled two stats I didnt want. Also why does it say "up to 3 crafted modifiers" but only lets me add 2?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 04:56 AM PST

Can someone please explain where I should put these 6 gems? 3 for each wand?

Most braindead leaguestart build for templar?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 02:53 AM PST

I am looking for some easygoing, reasonably strong and not squishy build with no currency and smooth leveling.

I played CA/TR pathfinder recently, but when I hit maps and went full TR i realized its clunky - you have to stand and shoot while you are squishy and getting hit. Something like this is an example of what I don't want. I also played ele hit balista which was fine but bosses were snoozefest. My plan for the league is to take strongest, fastest, cheapest leaguestart templar there is, grind until I get harold/aurastack stuff and respec to it.

From what I researched I love the look of Arc Totems - free to walk and dodge, while totems autotarget and clear fast. Its crit so it should scale for boss damage I believe. Would you suggest that? Or is it bad in current meta beyond feeling good as leaguestart?

    Bleed expert needed!

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 02:56 PM PST

So, how much damaging ailments deal damage faster gonna boost my dmg?
for example Circling oblivion gives me like 12kk more dmg on puncture with like 50% faster bleed from passive tree and items.
Wasting Affliction give me 3kk more dmg but i know this 10% deal damage faster is good but is it good enough?

    Ssf Ice crash lady

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 12:35 AM PST

    Hello there fellas,

I am coming to Flashback SSF in two days, and I would like to league start as a Ice crash ascendant or raider. Dunno which is easier, the Idea would be to transition to Hollow Palm when I'll find a One With Nothing.

What do you guys think ?

Is PoB calculating darkness enthroned effect correctly?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 08:11 PM PST

So while trying some aurabot stuff, i wanted to check out if the darkness enthroned increased effect of socketed jewels would increase the implicit corruption modifier of "1% reduced mana reserved"

two jewels at 1.75 effect (75% increased) should give 3.5% RMR - PoB shows no increase with the "75% increased effect [...]" line missing from the item

    i'd have imagined the following:

    2 x 1.75 = (floor) ⌊3.5⌋ = 3% RMR

But it appears to be acting the following:

    ⌊1 x 1.75⌋ + ⌊1 x 1.75⌋ = 2% RMR

Is this done the same way ingame? (Using the latter formula)

1 Billion DPS Specter Auramancer CI

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 09:27 AM PST

Anyone play a tectonic slam chieftain recently?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 10:01 PM PST

In theory, sounds like dps would be nutty and tankiness would be solid. Not sure how it stacks up with earthshatter or ground slam cousins though.

    Thoughts?

Pros and cons of using barrage vs cyclone for COC?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 01:49 PM PST

As the title says, what are the advantages and disadvantages of barrage? I couldn't find any charts displaying the required aps for barrage coc with up to 52% cdr, but I assume the aps required to maximize procs should be lower? Has anyone tested it?

    Thank you for any feedback!

    Penance vs. Storm brand assassin?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 03:06 PM PST

Want to reroll to assassin brand build rn. Which is best overall, and for which budget breakpoints? I think if I sell my gear right now in flashback, I'll have around 30-40ex ish.

    Bladefall+Blade Blast Cold Iron Point

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 02:05 PM PST

I currently play a Bladefall and Blade last Poison Assassin who uses Plague Bearer to clear maps fast. I just bought a Headhunter and really like the clear speed buffs. But the 2 Cold Iron Points really limit its dps potential (because no elemental damage). So I'm wondering if it's worth replacing them. Are there some rare mods or something that boost your dps good enough so that it's worth to replace the Cold Iron Points?

Hiero Ice Nova FB/ Ballista Dex stacker or ???

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 10:09 AM PST

    Salutations Exiles

Looking into my next build, either this or next league, I'm fairly decided on Hierophant, and wondering if from these two builds whether any major changes have occured to make them less reliable (understandably pre patch notes)

    Hierophant Ice Nova - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2557258/page/1

Essential gist of it, Pledge of Hands with bulk Mana, MoM, Agnostic etc, self casted frost bolts then ice Nova through them all Seems fairly reliable with 50% Life/Mana eHp, Defiance etc

    Ballista Totem - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2731974

Relying on stat stacking and Iron Commander, I would likely focus the Briskwrap version rather than Hyrris Ire Seems pretty decent, obviously going to suffer more OHKOs than your normal builds but will be an effective sweeper, albeit slower than your typical builds. Stat stacking isn't something that bothers Me, nor is totem gameplay, can definitely see it being rippy although access to upwards of 30k evasion is nice from the potential 2000 dext.

I've run similar, but not those builds before, so would love some feedback in anyone elses experience, understandably the Mechanics of the two builds vary significantly, however the likelihood would be that they're both built with MoM if I can. I enjoy the extra layer that it provides to survival.

Alternatively, Long Neck boys, what builds have you enjoyed of recent, what have you had success with, ideally something with a flat improvement curve rather than a Aura stacker 100ex buy in

Best of Luck Exiles Happy holidays

    cold snap + cold conduction

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 01:23 PM PST

Cold Snap + bonechill + hypothermia plus cold conduction cluster. Will this work? We need to hit target to shock it. From what I know Cold Snap and every cold DoT in this game first hit target (with 1 hit) before start its over time damage.

Archmage Arc - Spell Echo vs Unlesh?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 12:56 PM PST

I wanted to finally play an archmage build on the latter half of flashback, I really like how unleash feels and plays, but the vast majority of players im looking at on ninja seem to be going pledge of hands, with a small minority with amazing rares going wand+shield spell echo.

I think the obvious problem is unleash, even with a +1 helmet, and the unique gloves (build is already very unique heavy) is possibly(?) going to run into issues being able to clear something like a crazy beyond red map... just in terms of keeping up charges to kill things fast enough.

Has anyone played around with unleash on their archmage setup, how did you find it?

Looking for advice on improving my Chaos Slinger

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 12:31 PM PST

This is my partially home made chaos slinger that I made based on the heatmap on poe.ninja and some slight personal preferences. I'm looking to take it to the next level in terms of dps and was wondering what would be the best way to move forward from where I'm at. I was thinking of going low life possibly or ci but I'd like some advice from more experienced players. I'm in SC flashback if that matters.

Edit: I'd also like to add that switching to self cast is not an option. I really love the spell slinging playstyle.

Average build cost to kill A4 Sirus?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 12:08 PM PST

    Hey guys,

Working on a build guide currently and just looking for average amount invested to kill A4 Sirus?

I know this gives a wide range as necros & miners can probably do it on 50c and melee on much more but just looking for what seems a reasonable middle ground.

For any wondering, will be an explosive arrow totem build.

Hexblast Occultist... can it feel good?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 06:56 AM PST

I've been theory-crafting a [non-ignite] Hexblast Occultist build (https://pastebin.com/25Vsq3TW), and I think I might have a decent version. I'm looking for thoughts from people who've tried Hexblast as a main skill. What did you like or dislike about it?

The main challenge, at least as far as I can tell, is single-target DPS because the skill requires a waiting period for Doom accumulation. In order to deal with that, I've slotted Unleash as the 6th link, so that the first Hexblast will hit for ~5M damage (40 Doom), followed immediately by 3 hits for ~900k damage (0 Doom). With all of the "Doom gain rate" nodes on the tree, Doom builds from 0 to 40 in 1.6 seconds, which brings the average DPS to roughly 4.5M-4.8M. That seems good enough to me.

What do you think? Is there anything I've overlooked?

By the way, I'm NOT interested in an ignite version of the build, even though ignite seems like a natural fit. I wanted to see if Hexblast could work as a hit skill.
