    Bleed Build League Started??

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 07:57 PM PST

So like everyone else I am in neeeeeeed of the new POE League and something to do. Normally for league starts I would go cyclone , farm a bit then split off into whatever is the new OPOP build. But this league coming up I wanted to try something different.

I've been doing some research on Bleed Bow to start the league with but I'm not too sure which of the million variations and videos is the best bang for my buck so I wanted to come to you guys and see if anyone had any advice. I want something that I can just go ham with on opening weekend and farm to my hearts content.

My plan is to practice this weekend with a build and make small tweaks before releases based on my play style.

So I guess what I'm asking is which variant of bleed bow do you guys really enjoy and can recommend for a first time bleeder.

Posion Penenace Brand with Apep's Rage - Let's make a build

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 03:17 AM PST

    Hello fellow exiles!

I have a build in my mind but i need your input. Let me explain:

    1. I want to use Peneance Brand to posion the sh** out of my enemies > Can easily scale ailments and i dont need to cast it that often > a lot of cast speed needed but we will get 60% cast speed from our weapons alone + Swiftbrand Support
    2. To let it poision i need to use Vulkuurs's Guidance > obvious, since we will have a lot of lightning damage to start the posion with
    3. As a main weapon i want to (dual wield?) Apep's Rage > 60% Cast speed, and 40% faster poison ticks (HUGE!) and a lot of flat added chaos damage to spells (like two additional Added chaos dmg gems)

That is the main idea, but there are a lot of open endings here:

    1. Do we want to go Archmage for this? > MORE lightning damage but HUGE mana cost (Apep's Rage alone will cost additional flat 80 mana)
    2. Wich ascendency? Hiero > Good if we want to go the Archmage route (Hard to scale poison damage with) Trickster > Better posion scaling, and much better sustain (my fav) Assassin > best poison scaling and helps with cut in half posion duration from Vulkuur's

I would like to hear your oppinions on this build idea.

Your League starter build for next league??

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 12:57 PM PST

I'd like to know what are you going to try in the next league. Maybe it will also help someone else to find good build to start!

Personally, I will (most probably) start with one of these:

    • Cremation Necro
    • Hiero Ballista totems
    • Creeping frost trickster
    • BB/BF Assassin (love this because i'd like to switch to CoC later)
    • Block Gladiator simply because i rarely played it
    • Cyclone chieftain (later switch to mjolnir and WoC,PF and stuff)

    Templar League starter

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 08:43 PM PST

I haven't started a league in quite a while, and I'm looking for suggestions on a templar build. I'm finishing heist with a bladestorm/block Glad and found it reliable and fairly enjoyable, but want something different.

    Here's what I'm looking for:

    1. Tanky and not too complex to play

    2. Not a minion/totem build

    3. potentially ssf friendly

    4. Preferably elemental based(partial to frost, but open to suggestion)

    5. enjoyable and looks good(using a shiny new computer setup)

I'm not hardcore, so i am likely starting two characters fairly early in the new league. I'm going to try an earthshatter jug along with this templar, so i don't want the playstyle/gear to overlap much.

    Thoughts?

League Starting Fireball/Flamewall Trickster, converting into Righteous Fire Autobomber.

Does anyone have good tips or guides for either build? Since both builds are looking for similar items it seems like an easy transfer.

Best payload to boost Poison BV single target with Noxious Strike?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 09:09 PM PST

I'm looking for something to stack up as many poisons as possible for Noxious Strike Keep in mind that we're not limited to only phys/chaos spells since we can get global added phys/chaos damage to spells.

Some of the best candidates I see offhand for an Unleash or Arcanist Brand setup:

    • Bladefall + Cascade (with Blade Blast)
    • Firestorm + Cascade
    • Blazing Salvo + GMP
    • Ball Lightning + Slower Proj

    Golem stacking Elementalist

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 08:18 PM PST

    Salutations Exiles

As a brief introduction, I'm an absolute Elementalist Noob, I've only ever tried the Golementalist as a Minion build.

I've been looking into what I want to try for a dabble in 3.13 nerf dependant, and wondering if anyone can break down the Golem Stackers for me. So from my understanding, you take the Golem and Herald Ascendancy nodes for additional golems and buffs from golems, increasing your damage/regen/phys damage reduction and ailment immunity, attack/cast speed and accuracy, now from my understanding, all of these golems can also be effectively meat shields as they're not really assisting your damage, mainly just scaling your overall damage. This seems like a nice offensive and defensive setup, now the second half of it is the Herald side, so by taking Mastermind of Discord you get a lot of native Ele penetration aswell as Mana Reservation reduction. Would this then lean into the likes of tri Elemental Blade Vortex, using Phys to Lightning and Hrinsorrow/Hrimburn to increase the damage. Is the gist of this just using golems for survivability and damage inflation, while using the rest of the build for Damage? Scaling similarly to the old Tri herald Elementalist with Added x% of Physical damage as x mod? Or does this new form really attribute a lot of the damage from Spell Damage and Gem levels? -Is this a Blade Vortex or similar required build or is the spell used available to be swapped out for Alternatives? I assume this build likens the ability to shock, chilll/freeze while being immune to ailments itself to stay safe?

    Thanks in advance

HC Miner - League Starter Recommendations

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 07:09 PM PST

Just as title says; which Miner would you recommend for league starter?

    Glacial Cascade? Ball Lightning? PF?

Goals are just safely mapping red maps or at least T16 trash.
Can switch to CI if currency drops!

Help me with a league start melee build

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 05:40 PM PST

Back in Legion I followed Rake's guide for a Tectonic Slam Chieftain and absolutely loved it. It scaled from beginning to end game and I need something that is going to be comparable. Any thoughts on this?

Heres the guide I followed: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2503553

Any holy warrior, paladin style builds?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 08:09 AM PST

Just bought the divine benevolence supporter pack and was looking for skills that would work well with it. I'm looking at purifying flame right now, but looking for some other ideas that really give off a holy paladin type of vibe. Any help would be appreciated!

PS: I am fine spending MTX points, i have a few from the supporter pack anyways and its one of my guilty pleasures, so the skill itself doesnt have to look holy if the MTX does

Please review my first ever HCSSF build

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 06:02 AM PST

So after ~1.300h of playtime I decided to finally create my first build, a Heavy Strike Juggernaut designed for HCSSF: https://pastebin.com/UGTwRkek

The build looks fine on paper with ~6.3k Life and around 1.4M damage but I'm a little skeptical as there are currently only 7 people playing Heavy Strike in HCSSF and I don't know if I'm missing an obvious flaw in the skill.

I'm also quite unsure if Multistrike is the best sixth link for HS but I don't know what else to put in.

I'd appreciate if someone with a little more build creation experience could look over the build real quick and give me some pointers :)

    Thanks alot!

Edit: Items are placeholders for life and damage, resistances aren't taken into account yet.

Mind of the Council - what to do with it in 2021?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 12:47 PM PST

Mana stacking is very strong right now for a lot of reasons. Yet Mind of the Council sees very little use.

Have any of yall figured out a way to make use of it these days? It seems like there should be a way to leverage heirophant mana stacking, maybe even with ballista totems (that works, right)?

The item used to be mostly used just for the recovery with ball lightning or something, but the 6% of max mana added as base damage is as good as Archmage. Better, even, potentially, and it doesn't cost a support gem. It seems like it should be very good, especially with slams where you don't need to worry about sustain very much.

But absolutely nobody uses it. I'm tinkering around in pob, but have any of you had any ideas?

    CI Manastorm Bloodseeker claw build

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 10:03 AM PST

    https://poeplanner.com/b/Qy

Concept: Large added lightning damage to bloodseekers instant leech.

Immortal call to trigger Manastorm then get back 20% of Mana from Dynamo. Maybe mana leech/hit can cover the rest over 4 seconds.

Not sure if Harness the Void still double dips damage conversion.

Effigon hits can't be evaded with shaper global blind gloves

Not sure if healthy mind still double dips when crossing life nodes twice.

    Edit:

    Life version

    http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAYCAHflgpvkVa3xogDwHwSzGF3AZkVHMtGFMl7AiFqgQlNSmuBFnevuTRRBh7c-uJMc3I8aKPqCx2RyaVCycGKVKlM1kk3j8kX-Cv6POuGmV9i9-ei18m6q3uVWLRSpSsg_JypNo-9EilSCS1fxs8Djgwl9W3cHhxOcpCLiR-KkOaxHeaGLmblvUUzKSm-eiFuwC66LlPH4l1-wm7WExfv1tDjlGYw2YeJVSyaV5oHLvQ-rJIsWv8M6cFKJ07IZMgHPemHrelMi6jY9bWwbyM_d8YrAnKc0napirGyMtMWNgXgZwaAV_fLmPP5vVwkgWrnf8_mkcNRMg3SBiw4AAAAA

I tried it with a life version. It leches the Mana back in time for the next immortal call cast.

That was from on kill. Can't sustain Mana vs bosses.

Armour and Evasion Rating, general soft-caps?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2021 05:10 AM PST

Hi, I'm trying to establish an aproximate basic range of flat number to take as a standard when building characters relying on these defenses. Dodge is a different mechanic altogether and has no numeric rating so no reason to discuss it.

I've been playing more armour than evasion/dodge characters, and following the formula of "you need 10 times the armour rating of a hit to mitigate half its damage", plus the reworked molten shell giving you an idea of how strong you want the guard buff to be, I'm pretty happy with the numbers I reach. On these molten shell builds at around lv90 and counting flasks, iron reflexes and every buff, I end up with a minimum of 25K, usually get around 30K when I can, and with champion I can get 45-50K. Pretty good mitigation for the investment, I believe.

Now evasion rating is where I start to have doubts, because I don't usually play evasion centered ascendancies, and I can find no formula, no relation between the numbers and the chance to evade, so I basically get as much as I can, but I've no idea of the scaling. Also we have no guard skill based on evasion, and that's fine (even thematically it would be kind of wrong to have evasion give you a kind of shield, right?). I typically end up with 25-30K (on shadow characters so no raider/deadeye omega evasion nodes) with a jade flask, maybe a stibnite sometimes too, and that gets around 40-60% chance to evade? It's too variable and I'm lost here lol, send help.
