Hydrosphere - BEST Spellslinger combos to date? Posted: 08 Jan 2021 02:16 AM PST I am not seeing much discussion around this new skill gem, but I think it will become one of the best gems to be put into a Spellslinger combo!!!! Hydrosphere / Freezing Pulse? Hydrosphere / Arc? With the elementalist rework, this can be getting real interesting.... [link] [comments]
Let's talk about new deadeye possibilities Posted: 08 Jan 2021 02:30 AM PST Obviously there are already some ideas about Toxic Rain with the new mirage archer node around. What is your take on the new deadeye besides of that? I am currently thinking about trying Self Cast Ice Spear as a league starter. I know that CoC would most likely end up with more damage but I am kinda confident I could make a better all around build with self cast. However, I am not sure whether the damage numbers would be big enough in the end. [link] [comments]
Blade Flurry is back on the menu? Posted: 07 Jan 2021 08:08 PM PST I was reminiscing to the days where blade flurry videos had comments like "NERF THIS" and stumbled across an insane (so far) build that utilizes it with General's Cry. I'm trying to determine if it would make a good league starter because for gear, all that's needed is as many links as you can get and as much warcry cooldown as you can get. Basically all you do is cyclone around with your warcry on left click (or not if you prefer). General's Cry spawns Mirage Warriors who will use your linked Blade Flurry and kill everything. I was surprised at how well it clears. This video is not mine and displays how good of a boss killer it will end up. The thing is, the gear is for his secondary skill cyclone, because he's got nothing else worth spending it on! The shield is the most important thing he's got. The rest of the Mirage warrior damage is on the tree and ascendancy. I think the reason BF does so much damage is the warriors attack once, but they get to the max channeling stages and then release. I'm leveling now and in act 9 and it's nuking everything. Blood Aqueducts is usually where I determine if a build is good or not, and it feels almost like Carrion Golems. The only issue I see coming is defense but we'll see. That said, I'm using Redblade Banner. POB from the video that I more or less followed. [link] [comments]

Looking for a nice boss killer starter Posted: 08 Jan 2021 03:38 AM PST Hey exiles, So after the twitch showcase of the new league and what's gonna happen in it, im kinda lost into what to start as a nice boss killer, as I know it's gonna be what is needed in the endgame. Thank you in advance exiles, and have a nice league !! [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jan 2021 01:04 AM PST theorycrafted a max block BV Scion, need some help with optimizing. Daressos Courage and Cowards Legacy for max block, the aura keystone for hatred damage scaling are the main ideas, aswell as some juicy crit. Would like to get more tanky and would like to know what would be the ideal items for the item slots i left out thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jan 2021 08:08 PM PST Occupying Force - Endless Munitions - Gathering Winds - Wind Ward Multiple mirage archers to lay down additional pods; extra pods from endless munitions - seems like that would be excellent coverage for one boss or getting damage in on several with the Maven arena. Gathering Winds, Wind Ward - along with Winddancer notable and going dodge/evasion - good chance of surviving that first hit and not being hit all that often. Too early to say without seeing changes to Pathfinder, Trickster but I wonder if Dead Eye would be a good option? [link] [comments]
Open Discussion - Tri-elemental Elementalist Posted: 07 Jan 2021 04:02 PM PST After reading the new patch notes I was intrigued by the trinity support. Without lvl20gem info it's hard to judge if it'll be a good or bad support. In any case I was wondering what would be the ideas to make a build that utilized three main spells, one of each element, rotating between them. Below my ideas so far : - Which 3 spells would make sense? I thought of firestorm, ball lightning (unless it is an "orb" type of spell) but I'm unsure what would be the ice one. I was thinking of frostbolt, being it then the main damage dealing spell on a 6link - Firestorm and Ball lightning I'd work to maximize duration and minimize need of casts. The idea is that actually they are charging the frostbolts - Use one of each golem (fire/light/ice) - Use corrosive elements cluster jewel to apply exposure - Use elemental equilibrium as the three damage types should be "pure" and repeating itself. What other ideas you see for this build? [link] [comments]
Battlemage Inquisitor concepts Posted: 07 Jan 2021 12:41 PM PST https://i.imgur.com/C12pyLG.png Righteous Providence, Instruments of Virtue and Instruments of Zeal sound really cool. What are your ideas for a battlemage? edit: So the most no-brainer is to use a movement skill as attack. But are there any other attacks that could be viable? What do you think about a weapon swap? Could it be worth the hussle? [link] [comments]
Blackflame with hexblast ignite? Posted: 07 Jan 2021 09:38 PM PST League started Hexblast Ignite Trickster last league and absolutely loved it. Saw the new unique ring was wondering if it would work well with it. Anyone else trying to build around it too? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jan 2021 05:31 PM PST Hey guys, have around 40ex, 1000 chaos in standard. I need to finally kill UE. I can respec almost any character level 90+. What's a pretty forgiving build that can get me the kill? [link] [comments]
Whispering Ice build: Cold to Fire worth it? Posted: 08 Jan 2021 02:19 AM PST I am using Cyclone + CwC and then I have 2B 1G 1R sockets to buff WI. I picked Elemental Focus, Concentrated Effect, Hypothermia and Cold To Fire 20/20. The latter is an immense amount of damage but it does remove quite a bit of cold damage (10% inc cold damage, gain 30% of cold damage as extra fire, 10% increased fire, convert 50% cold to fire). I also have Vortex with Bonechill support, skitterbots and arctic armour. I am just unsure how much to trust PoB on this. But, if I do trust PoB then should I take Breath Of Flames? I have a Thread Of Hope in the right place so it's just one skill point. https://pastebin.com/wvvnxS06 My immediate plans is to take Mana and Mana regeneration and respec the nearby Energy shield small skill into Arcane Will for a nice bit of ES boost. My gift to this subreddit my bosskiller build that cant go wrong Posted: 08 Jan 2021 02:07 AM PST Hi everyone the last few League i am playing a build that got inspired from Balor Mage Guardian Dominating Blow build but only with a few improvements in terms of survivability in my opinion. For everyone looking for a boss killer build this one will not disappoint you so i am gonna share with you what's all this about. Here gonna explain the core mechanics that makes it awesome. Dont get intimidated by some expensive gems or items without going for the absolute endgame items the build works fine. The Character is a Templar Guardian. Main skill we use :Phantasmal Dominating Blow+Predator+Awakened Melee Splash+Divergent Fortify+Awakened Brutality+Awakened Multistrike and we alost use a 5L Herald of Purity on our Helm with Aspect of the Avian Weapon is "The Scourge" Unique weapon that drops from Shaper Boss Chimera and makes the inreased or reductions to Minions apply on you with increased value. For a chest we use Craiceann's Carapace for the Immune to Bleeding which is very important and also gives a lot of life and some resist Shield: We need Shaper shield with recover on % Life on Block and Life which is very easy to craft only with Pristine Fossils What makes this build so good and balanced is the Maximum Chaos resist we got with Glorious Vanity "Xibaqua Jewel" (Divine Flesh). Along with the Node and some small passive nodes we can get 82% chaos resist and the Divine Flesh gives us 50% of the Elemental Damage taken as Chaos Damage. Glancing Blows along with Deflection and the Ascendancy we can get easy Max Block Attack Damage and Max Block Projectile Damage. The only hard part scaling is Block Spell Damage . In my build i get it to 70 with Granite Flask (50 without) . Will not go on Cluster Jewels because they are the classic mainstream for Dominating Blow but if anyone is interested you can check my profile on PoB Community "quodlike" account name . I know this is not a real guide for new players so i suggst going to https://balormage.com/ site he does a wonderful job explaining the build which i also got inspired . This is just my variant. Feel free to ask anything . [link] [comments]
Golem damage removed from Elementalist Posted: 07 Jan 2021 12:20 PM PST "20% increased Golem Damage per Summoned Golem" line seems to be removed. With a build that can reach 9 golems, this means you lose 180% increased damage for your golems. Can it be a mistake like what they did with saboteur's blind iirc? Because it literally gives no advantage to your minions offensively anymore which is quite weird for the "golemancer" aspect of the class. [link] [comments]
vaal glacial hammer + chain from wall ! Posted: 08 Jan 2021 12:55 AM PST doesnt that sound fucking awesome ? ! !! imagine divergent freenzing pulse setup 4 additional proj (2*jewel) + 2 (deadeye) = 6 additionnal projectile 1 chain(acendancy) + 3 (awakaned chain) = 4 chain that a fucking lot of bounce to the same single target ! Deadeye changes to Rupture botched my starter plans; are there any alternate options? Posted: 07 Jan 2021 11:51 AM PST Got excited to league start, also doing SSF for first time ever, as Lancing Steel Deadeye with the lovely Rupture notable's +30 Life Gain on Hit, which will be removed from the Deadeye in 3.13 per the changes recently announced. Are there other, semi-easily obtainable, options for the Life Sustain that Deadeye will no longer have? I'm a fairly casual player and feel the following can automatically be ruled out (again, because SSF):
Others I've ruled out because they'd be incredibly sub-par or clunky:
Possible Options:
Thanks for any help. Slightly a /rant, I suppose. [link] [comments]
Best passive regen/sustain methods for builds Posted: 07 Jan 2021 10:56 PM PST I am going over what I am looking for in my league start build for 3.13 now knowing we are going to be taking on 10 bosses at a time. I love fighting bosses in this game, but I'm not particularly good at it, so I need some method of passive regen and probably at least 7k ehp. I was thinking maybe SA pathfinder for the flask recovery and mobility/high evasion, but every build guide I'm seeing has fairly low health down towards 5k. Also considering archmage ball lightning scion for the same flask recovery and agnostic to recover health, but with only ~5k health even with MoM I imagine this will die pretty easily, but I haven't tried it to know myself. Are there any other methods of passive regen/sustain I'm missing that don't involve stacking golems and massive currency? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jan 2021 06:39 PM PST Now that the patch basics are out and what we are doing, what are you guys playing? I know the ascendancy rebalance may or may not be completely revealed and patch notes, but the basics are still there. Im either berkzerker earthshatter (if the new stuff is too rippy will go jug). Or cremation necro. Will also probaly change my mind 5 mins before league start. What you guys thinking? [link] [comments]

How are you guys thinking of using Trinity Support? Posted: 07 Jan 2021 05:14 PM PST So a few questions (1) Does this build fit Wild strike or Elemental hit better? Also, does wild strike have smart EE targetting (like Ele hit)? I've heard that it does, tho the skill gem does not mention it like it does for ele hit. (2) How would you build it to scale offenses? Defenses? Really thinking a high pdps weapon + wild strike gladiator could genuinely be a thing. Really want to get a tri-elemental build to genuinely work. Trinity seems like it is meant for me. I want a reason to go tri-elemental gladiator since how tanky glad is, but since it has minimal damage scaling it'd be rough.... [link] [comments]

(SSF) Ball Lightning Agnostic Archmage Hierophant - League Start, Final Build, Question Posted: 07 Jan 2021 05:42 AM PST Hello! I'm planning to go on a Ball Lightning journey in 3.13 (bar some serious patch notes happenings), but I've never played an Archmage or an Agnostic build for that matter. I'm not a beginner otherwise so I understand the build and the mechanics, but I'd love answers to a few specific questions (and just some tips in general i guess). I'm going to play SSF, and my general plan is just to rush Atlas and Watchstones, favourite the maps to farm Pledge of Hands, and then bonk everything in the endgame. Is the build strong enough without Pledge to take on early endgame, maybe a few Siruses? Also what should I use until Pledge? I heard good things about Amplification Rod (not that I'd necessarily find it), beyond that just a general good lightning damage wand+shield/staff? Can I start using Archmage as soon as I get it or I'd have mana problems? Same question with Agnostic, are there breakpoints/gear requirements for that? Flask choices also seem interesting, a few PoBs and guides just go with mana flasks, other use life flasks as well. And last but not least, skill trees? I checked out a few top ones on Ninja, and a few from guides/youtube, and the core is simple and similar across all of them, but there are definitely a few choices, like taking Glancing Blows or not, and investing a bit more into cast speed or life. So yeah, basically any input is appreciated if you played this build to success. Cheers! [link] [comments]
Ignite Oro's Sacrifice Flicker Elementalist Posted: 07 Jan 2021 01:39 PM PST Any thoughts? Would it be worth it giving it a try or is the new ignite node not necessary? Aegis node might be good investment defensively. The "Heart of Destruction" + EO + Golem nodes + "Shaper of Flames" looked like a good combo. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jan 2021 09:00 AM PST Hi, I was thinking about playing a phys wander in HC next league, using either Champion for the perma-fortify and impale bonus, or Gladiator for the bleedsplosions and block chance. I was wondering how easy or hard it is to find or craft a phys damage wand for such a build in these ascendancies. I was planning to use Kinetic Bolt/Blast as a clear skill. Secondly, I was wondering if this is overall a good or shitty idea to play phys wand, and furthermore with one of these ascendancies. I have played on and off for a long time, but have never played a wander, and the idea of a tanky ranged character wiggles my pickle. Thanks for your insight! [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jan 2021 03:55 AM PST I'm trying to craft an axe to test out a build and i came across a regal slam where It seemed like i got a decent axe to multi-mod on. After I've multi-moded it, PoB says that there is only a 6 dps decrease from the original 416 dps axe im trying to copy, but for some reason the tooltip says its around 500k less total bleed damage? Can somebody explain why that is? [link] [comments] |
