    Reminder for GGG that better Uber Lab Trial progression isn't just "caving to SSF players". It's nearly universally wanted, and having multiple post about it hit the top of the subreddit and get ignored every league is very frustrating.

    What did you think about today's announcement livestream?

    I'm keen for feedback on how we presented the Echoes of the Atlas announcement stream that we did today. It was a massive amount of work for us to put together compared to the way we usually do announcements, but it appears to have gone really well. What did you think about how we presented it? What was good, what was bad? What should we do more of, or try to do differently? We're not so much looking for feedback on the actual expansion/content, but on the livestream itself.

    We have to decide whether to do similar livestreams for future announcements. We're worried that smaller releases that are just a challenge league (see Delirium for example) might look underwhelming in comparison and could be disappointing if people turned up expecting an amount of content equivalent to today's announcement. But if it's the right format for revealing information then we'll certainly consider whether the large amount of extra work is worth it.

    Thanks again for checking out the announcement and all your kind words. It's great to see how hyped people are.

    Ascendancy Trials Need To Spawn Based On Missing Trials - Sincerely SSF Players

    Dear GGG,

    Labyrinth has been out for almost 5 years now. It is one of the most fundamental power progressions a character can have. Currently in trade leagues, you have the ability to join channels like Global 820 to help each other find their trials. I think this is kind of an interesting communal activity to help each other achieve their ascensions.

    However, the experience in SSF is vastly different. I play primarily SSF, and I enjoy nearly all aspect of the experience, with the major exception of the dreaded RNG based ascendancy trials.

    For example, in my last league I was able to play Heist for about 2-3 weeks, played 6-8 hours a day mapping extensively. I actually stopped playing the Heist mechanic, early because I was unable to find my last ascendancy trial. I switched to only mapping for the last week that I played Heist in an attempt to see if I could get my final trial. 4 characters in and several of them level 90, after 3 weeks of playing I was unable to find my last trial. I decided to then take a break from the league. I have been slightly luckier in previous leagues in SSF finding them within the first week or two, but it seems unnecessary to have them spawn with a completely randomized spawn system. I lost count but I think at one point I had around 10 trials that were the exact same in a row, and not the one that I needed

    The new expansion and league looks absolutely amazing! It would mean the world to us SSF players (and perhaps players in general) if there could be 1 change to the current Ascendancy system that would make it so the game spawns the trials you are missing first until you get the 6 you need. After this it could go back to spawning randomly. I am not asking to change the spawn rate necessarily, just the aforementioned system.

    QOL: Please make selling a veiled item randomly progress one of its three crafting option

    This would be the biggest syndicate quality of life improvement for me. Most veiled items are only worth picking up to progress your crafting unlocks. This lets you progress at a slower pace than targeting a specific mod but saves you the time of having to go through the actual unveiling process.

    They halved the cosmetics in the 30 dollar packs.

    Until Heist, the $30 packs had points and TWO of (Back Attachment, Portal, Weapon Effect, Character Effect, Pet). And the $60 packs had an additional armour set and maybe a third thing from that list.

    The $60 Packs are fine, they look great and I didn't take a "third thing" for granted. I'm glad they brought back having two "things" in them.

    The $30 packs are not fine, not at all. Supporter Packs are supposed to have much better value than just buying 300 points for 30 dollars but this BARELY qualifies, you get ONE cosmetic for missing 5 dollars worth of points. I really hope we get two things again next league.

    Why I complain more the second time this happens than the first:

    With the character effects from the Heist Supporter Packs that evolve as you kill, I felt like maybe they overestimated the value of these and thought they can count as two. I said at the time that we'll have to see how that evolves (pun not intended). Well we saw it now.

    Edit: Since people in the comments act like I'm some kinda GGG hater calling for a boycot, here's proof that I spent way over 500 dollars on this game over many years including 60 dollars in the last 2 days: https://i.imgur.com/79PT9vm.jpg

    I dislike the thought of having LESS CHOICE OF THINGS TO BUY if they make half the options each league have really bad bang for the buck. As the 30 dollar packs are now, Buying them instead of a 60 dollar pack or a core supporter pack, would be weird. They are bad value when directly compared to other things we can buy from GGG at the same time! I'm not even calling GGG greedy or anything, I'm just questioning if it's a good idea to have some options in their store be such bad value.

    Maven's Orb questions

    • How does the Maven's Orb interact with an Awakener's Orb when the Awakener Orb is used last? Can I prepare a Crusader chest with the Uber version of the explode mod, a Hunter chest with the Uber version of the +1 curse mod, then 'merge' them with an Awakener Orb to get both Uber mods deterministically?
    • On items with two influences, does the Maven's Orb choose two influence mods at random, remove both then add an Uber version of one of them? Or does it only work if the item has two influence mods of the same type? Example, if you have a Crusader/Shaper chest with exactly three influence mods - Crusader explodymod, Crusader 'phys to lightning' and Shaper '+1 to socketed active skill gems' - can the Maven's Orb affect the Shaper mod?
    • How does the Maven's Orb interact with "Prefixes cannot be changed" when applied to a Crusader chest with the explode mod as its only prefix, prefixes can't change and a different Crusader mod as its two suffixes?
    • Do you expect the 'best' Influence mods to have the 'best' Uber versions, or do you expect some seldom-used mods (such as the Shaper mod 'socketed gems are supported by item rarity') to have popular Uber versions too?

    Ritual questions

    • How will the barrier be enforced? A temporary wall, a stacking debuff like Delve darkness, a failure condition like Synthesis memory fragments, or something else?
    • How will the barrier interact with untargetted player teleports like Smoke Mine?
    • How will Rituals function in party play if some of the party are inside the arena and some outside?
    • What are the consequences for character death in a ritual encounter (softcore)? Can you 'recover' the ritual (like you can if slain fighting a Legion) or do you 'fail' it like you fail an incursion?

    Multiboss Arena Fight questions

    • Was this concept inspired by Metamorph in any way (or vice versa)?
    • How will 'break line of sight or die' mechanics like Rigwald's Wolf Barrage or Shock and Horror's lightning beam function in a sparse arena?
    • How will phased bosses such as Konley the Unrepentant function?
    • Can we stack multiple copies of the same boss in one arena?
    • How will multiboss fights such as the Vaal Temple map boss function?
    • How will the Maven interact with Twinned maps?
    • Upon defeating a boss that has a special unique drop table, such as K'aj A'alai who drops the Beauty Through Death divination card, will they drop loot from their normal table?
    • Can we instruct the Maven to witness boss fights on maps occupied by Elder Guardians
    • Can we instruct the Maven to witness fights against bosses that are not part of the Atlas, such as Pit of the Chimera?
    • Will the Toucan boss of the secret fishing map be able to be used in these encounters?
    • According to the livestream the ten boss arenas have map mods. Will these use the normal pool of map mods, the pool of Delve zone mods, or a new mod pool? Will we be able to craft them? Can we Vaal them into horrendous 8-mod monstrosities?
    • What are the consequences of failure on these fights (in softcore)? Will it be like an Incursion where one death is a complete failure of the instance, or like a Sirus fight where dying costs one portal but failing all portals is bad news?
    • Players are likely to favour locking in bosses with no powerful area control skills (more Bog bosses, less Crater/Reef bosses). Are you happy with this likely meta?
    • Will the bosses have any protection from oneshots like the Shaper's inital damage reduction?
    • Will effects like the unique wand Obliteration's chaos explosion have their full power in this arena?

    Maven Encounter questions

    • Once players 'figure out' all the mechanics, establish a map pool and learn to be efficient, how many maps roughly will it be from one Maven fight to the next?
    • On a scale where Eternal Lab is tier 1, Shaper is tier 2, Sirus AL 8 is tier 3 and Aul at depth 700 with no awful mods is tier 4, how difficult do you intend the Maven fight to be?
    • Past endgame bosses have had uber-uber rare items, such as the roughly two in a million chance for any given Watcher's Eye mod combination to drop from an Uber Elder kill, or the approx one in 200 chance to hit a specific Awakened Gem from Sirus. Will the Maven have any similar drops, or are you relying upon Maven Orb demand to keep the encounter relevant all league?

    Misc questions

    • One great thing in Heist was the occasional drops of 'already delirious' maps. Will we see this elsewhere in Ritual or Echoes content?
    • Ritual bases. Do these have the incredibly strong interaction with lucky Vaal Orbs that I think they do? (Remove one implicit at random, possibly the drawback implicit, replacing it with a Vaal implicit)
    • Will the same set of unique maps that has been present on the atlas since Delve remain there, or will there be rotation (e.g. Cortex, Beachhead and Twisted Distant Memory on, Hall of the Grandmasters, Mao Kun and Doryani's Machinarium off)
    • Will the new maps add 11 to the maximum Atlas bonus?
