    Please make texture streaming optional. It was so much better before. Not to mention the fps issues and crashes it causes.

    I’ve always defended Chris’s version of trading but I think it’s time to seriously consider a commodities market as a compromise.

    Buying exalts, selling essences, these things don't require a trade website. There is no meaningful interaction going on here and having to alt tab and price check constantly for such items is only an annoyance that is putting undue stress on PoE's servers.

    I still want old fashioned trade for things like armour, jewels, even gems. But over half of my trade queries are for basic currencies and if GGG servers can't handle all this traffic, I see no reason for us all to be in this shitty position.

    3.13 is my favourite league ever and being unable to trade half the time has significantly reduced its enjoyment for me, I'm sure others feel the same.

    The new texture streaming is just awful, and coupled with making the Rogue Harbour a public area again, it makes me not even want to engage with Heist.

    Dealing with the crappy texture loading every single time I re-enter the Rogue Harbour makes Heist a jarring, miserable experience. When you throw in the fact that the Rogue Harbour is basically just an NPC are built on a billboard advertisement for MTX and my frame rate just gets crushed every single time I'm in the zone.

    Just make the harbour a private area again and revert this texture streaming garbage.

    January Windows 10 update kb4598242 is causing every PoE crash for me - how to fix it.

    Edit: I sat on this for a week without posting anything to see if a fix came. I've been manually uninstalling it for 7 days, and only crashing when it reinstalls. Today was the first time I disabled windows update, and at least on my system, having windows update disabled seems to cause the crash as well. I re-enabled windows update and it's running solid again. Manually uninstalling the update, *if* it fixes your issue, is probably the best solution.

    I'm sick to fucking death about this issue, and it's a microsoft one not GGG. I've fucked with a lot of settings, and this has been the only thing that works.

    kb4598242 was released earlier this month, and it was a doozy. For some people, it bricked their machines. For me, I discovered that it is causing all of my crashes, at least 1 per map. This could be causing your crash issues this league.

    Hit Windows key + R

    Type appwiz.cpl

    View installed updates

    Right click on kb4598242 and uninstall it

    Restart your system, play PoE, and see if you still crash.

    See, windows 10 will automatically reinstall the update every day or so. You'll discover this when you start crashing again. Right now, my computer is set to never sleep, and I haven't been restarting it, and it's still doing it.

    Yes, it is. Luckily, Microsoft released a program that allows you to disable specific windows updates.

    Exactly. So, we're boned unless the crash fixes GGG is pushing later this week fixes this specific problem. However, there is a nuclear option.

    No, disabling windows update entirely. This obviously leaves your system open to security vulnerabilities in the future, so hopefully this is a temporary issue.

    "Fire up the Run command ( Win + R ). Type in "services. msc" and hit Enter.

    Select the Windows Update service from the Services list.

    Click on the "General" tab and change the "Startup Type" to "Disabled".

    Restart your machine."

    ​

    This *should* prevent all automatic windows updates, preventing the reinstallation of the fucked update.

    We get it, the league/expansion was a success. We're all happy with the content. It's fun. But that fun is a bit muted when it comes attached to engaging features like extreme performance issues and/or trade site concerns.

    Considerable efforts need to be made in advanced of each and every league to ensure that this near 10-year-old meme of POE's "poor optimization this or server that" doesn't continue to grow and become increasingly more frustrating.

    Please stop the PR of "this was hugely successful and thats why x" (where x is some seriously distracting issue with either the game or the site). Just fix it. Proactively.

    Yeah, I realize it's easy to say, hard to do. But come on, its been years of this.

    Maven endlessly healing endgame bosses makes playing the game with non-meta DPS builds very unpleasant.

    Pretty much title. I've been having tons of fun with the new league and endgame, but from time to time my SSF non-meta build just hits a brick wall of endless healing.

    Is this intended or an accident? It feels really weird to have something overtuned like this.

    Edit: seems like this is being fixed, confirmed by GGG, woo-hoo!

    Also, glad to find out that I'm not the only one fighting immortal versions of Minotaur and cortex boss with infinite healing.

    Some other reddit folk revealed to me that I'm a bad player just gitgudlol and that explains a lot, never considered this possibility /s

    Friendly reminder that Spectral Shield Throw is completely reliant on Divide an Conquer. Please either incorporate its stats into the Gem, or at least add the Threshold Jewel to Lani's "Death to Puirty" reward pool.

    I love SST but I get frustrated every league about Divide an Conquer being absolutely mandatory for it to work. I play mostly SSF so I always have to rely on RNG to be able to play this skill. But besides my own limitations of playing SSF, I think its safe to say that SST is unplayable without the Threshold Jewel.

    Threshold Jewels should incentivize new playstyles for a certain Skill, not make it the basis of a Gem being playable.

    There are other offenders for this aswell. Please consider overhauling the Skills that completely rely on Threshold Jewels.

    If GGG wants to boost player retention, I don't think creating new content of the game is the smartest thing to prioritize. Every single league I quit, I quit due to these two factors making the game just too tedious to tolerate.

    I just thought most of you were overreacting a bit or had bad PCs, and I'm sorry for that, but once I got into red tier maps and started using scarabs (I'm slow, yes) it's become a fucking slideshow most of the time. And that's after I wait 5 seconds for maps to load in.

    Also why the fuck do I freeze for 2 seconds while clicking a harvest craft? There's like 30 monsters spawning. It happens almost every god damn time.
