Geofri's Devotion +Rotblood promise + snake pit + anomalous faster projectiles + Hydrosphere = Double Ele warding hit?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 12:03 AM PST

So been screwing around looking for interesting ways to use the new Maven uniques and this interaction came up as something particularly interesting.

https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Rotblood_Promise - solves the self cursing effect clause needed for Elemental warding along with making your big elemental warding hits scale a bit higher. Requires some reservation but makes it a quick 1 ring / 1 gem combo.

Anomalous Faster projectiles - 60% chance on ability to return on final hit.

https://poedb.tw/us/gem.php?n=Elemental+Warding from Geofri's devotion - SPELL that triggers on Melee hit. Of note it infinitely pierces by default.

By adding that all together with a way to stop the piercing. (snake pit in this case / alt qual chain support can also do it ) you can suddenly get the Ele Warding Projectile to Chain ( or fork for that matter)

Lastly! With the hydrosphere interaction that we've seen recently as a target for chain. You can combine that with the Faster projectile Support proc to potentially get a double hit with Ele Warding. Returning projectiles can strike the target on their return path to you so Hydrosphere behind a boss. Proc your Ele warding. It chains from boss to ball then returns. Annoyingly this only works with Chain + 1 of which only snake spit seems to be the way to trigger this. If we weren't using a Unique you could craft extra qual to socketed gems, but alas with a unique we're limited to maybe max 23%

In cute fashion you can also proc the cold / lightning proc on the hydrosphere this way. Am not sure if this at all makes a massive difference in the Elemental Warding Damage procs but of note with Rotblood promise you do free up the belt slot to put on CDR on it and boots to get the CDR down to .77secs.

not sure if there's something else here, but I think smarter brains than mine can do something with that info.

Quin69’s community accidentally made a huge build archive with complete PoBs

    Posted: 04 Feb 2021 06:43 PM PST

If you haven't been following, Quin let his viewers decide what build he will play. On his subreddit and discord people spent this week submitting builds. Meme builds, meta builds, unique builds, anything you can think of. Mods required the PoBs to have the notes expand on the build mechanics. There are dozens of different builds on his discord and a good summary of top builds on his Reddit quin69. I'll save the links for you to find in case it breaks some rules.

Raider Kinetic Blast / Power Siphon Wander (speed demon!) - Showcase/Guide

    Posted: 04 Feb 2021 04:32 PM PST

Hey guys, reaching that point where I'm nearly done with the league, so figured I'd showcase my character for anyone that might want to replicate it. It's a KB/PS raider wander as the title indicates, and I've had an absolute blast as it's a good mix of speed and clear that kills bosses with ease and flashes through maps.

    Here's the POB: https://pastebin.com/uQmxcEGS

Here's a written guide for more details: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3040753

Quick mapping showcase (minotaur map): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG9SwlS77uY

The build's survivability comes from 75% attack and spell dodge combined with blind + evasion, wind dancer, phys to fire damage taken from helm, a solid life pool of 5.2k, and very high mobility. We never get stuck anywhere thanks to permanent phasing from raider, and we are immune to all ailments from raider as well (another huge survivability boon).

Damage is mostly dependent on gear, and I won't sugarcoat it -- this is an expensive build. We can reach around 20mil bossing damage with flasks popped and sigil of power down, provided the gear investment is there.

I've played a lot of builds over the last 5 years, but this might be my most satisfying yet because of the speed + clear mix. I love going fast, and kinetic blast just annihilates entire screens and even beyond your current screen.

Anyhow, hope you enjoy my take on wanding as a Raider. Feel free to msg me ingame (IGN: chochangsonofskywalker) if you have any questions. Or just post here or in my POE forum thread.

Pious Path, EB+MoM, and Emperor's Vigilance

    Posted: 04 Feb 2021 11:46 PM PST

I'm currently running an SSF Inquisitor that uses Pious Path with EB + MoM to reserve all mana for Vitality, Herald of Ash and Spellslinger, and cast/take MoM damage out of ES, and just picked an Emperor's Vigilance out of a Ritual reward. Combined with my tree, that puts me at 64/74 block.

Based on Reddit comments on EV when it first came out, I'm not sure if it's a good thing for my build. On the one hand, Pious Path ensures there'll always be ES and hence block will always be up. On the other hand, being in the Templar start area, I already have relatively easy access to Glancing Blows. And other than the good ES and Life roll (which are not unique), it doesn't seem like EV will change anything about how I actually take and sustain damage. I already split my damage taken between life and ES thanks to EB, so EV doesn't help me do this unless I unspec EB and MOM, which is not an option as I've forgone mana regen in favour of ES regen via Pious Path to sustain Fanatic casts of my bossing spell.

I'll still be using EV for a while since it's a decent upgrade over my current gear (having dropped early enough), but am I right to say that I should still be looking for a well-rolled rare?

Raider Kinetic Blast. How it is compared to int stacking?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 03:39 AM PST

Looking for a decent alternative to int stacking wander because it's too expensive, i found this on poe forum: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3040753

At first look seems pretty decent and fairly "cheap" compared to int stacking builds. I want some other opinions before start investing in a new char so i ask you if it's worth it.

    Thanks!

I (noob) made a build for this league and was looking for suggestions on where to go from here

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 03:38 AM PST

    My build: https://pastebin.com/MwzcPVZ3

Its an avatar of fire bladeblast trickster! I just picked trickster because I have played with them in the past and am familiar with what kind of gear I need to take advantage of the ascendancies. Blade blast because all I have played in the past is ED/Cont. and I wanted to try something different and wanted to make something myself so this is what my smooth brain came up with.

I have killed Siruis awakener 4 so far thats it but It took me 3 spawn before I could kill him (also my first time fighting him this league) So anyways, was looking for input on how to get my defenses up better for some of the harder bosses in this game. Like Vaal Temple I have never been able to beat this map yet and have had trouble with a few other bosses as well, so mainly I guess looking for input on how to get better boss dps? The POB says my blaseblase has a potention DPS of 25million (if 50 blades hit target)but I do not feel like I am hitting with more than ~10 blades at a time so ~5mill DPS, which I was assuming would be more than enough for t16 stuff but even some of these bosses take a while to kill even with this DPS. I know I could throw in some wave of conviction or vaal righteous fire but I am not sure if I should drop any of my defenses as I kind of feel squish especially when encountering like t16 delirious maps with some mods on them.

So basically just looking for input if anybody has any it would help. Thanks!

Pretty much title, any spicy meme builds based on Heartbound Loop or a similar interaction where stuff triggers and autotargets everything? I saw a grand total of 3 characters on poe.ninja using Indigon and blade blast, any other builds like that around?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 03:27 AM PST

What build for mapping to 100 ?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2021 11:39 PM PST

I just like chill regular T14-T16 mapping, what build do you guys recommend for something thats a smooth mapper for T16. I don't juice them up too often, so doesnt need to be a mega op build, but something nice that i can do with 50-60 exalts that won't die too often. Had my eye on Cold BV PF but havent looked into it too much.

Looking for a Build to Comfortably clear all Content

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 03:15 AM PST

I currently have around 50ex (can farm more if needed) burning a hole into my pocket, i want to play a new character to do all content in the game, i hate dying and id like something very tanky and smooth for someone with not so much skill at dodging and the game

I looked at two Builds that caught my attention, but am open for other suggestions aswell (a build guide would be appreciated)

Righteous Fire something, probably JUGG for the thiccness or any other recommendations?

Gladiator Cyclone Maxblock either 1h/Shield or Unarmed/Shield

    Cheers for any suggestions

    Looking for T16 Burials farmer

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 03:09 AM PST

So far this league I've played:

    • CoC Scion.
    • BF/BB Chieftain.
    • TR Deadeye.
    • CA/TR Pathfinder.

Looking for something fresh. The chieftain can do the maps (sextants, chisels, rate, corrupted, 2 metamorphs) with explosion chest but it's not the fastest character imo. Want something able to do this specific thing quickly, no headhunter yet. Aiming to farm cards in burials to eventually afford it. Budget is probably 50 ex if I have to spend that much.

TL;DR: Faster character that BF/BB Chieftain for Burial farming.

    Tanky SSF build for witch

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 02:33 AM PST

hey guys. i'm shopping around for a reroll on one of my builds and cant' get exicted for anything. i am playing semi SSF (private league with 2 friends, thus i cant fully say what uniques i have access to, we share drops)

i'm interested in a tanky build (i am bad with mechanics i guess) that's doable with SSF. preferably with my witch, maybe even as elementalist as my PF miner (sabo) is doing okay (but sustain is not great without machina mitts) and i dont have the energy to go through acts and Labs again..

is there something that does not rely on primordial jewels and the golem amulet for elementalist?

some chase uniques or clusters are okay, maybe i have it (a shav's we got already) but i am having survival issues with both going into red maps. or maybe a good ssf base that i can push to be great with getting new gear.

    maybe something MoM?

How do you fix analysis paralysis in rerolling / build designing?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2021 02:41 PM PST

How do you fix analysis paralysis in rerolling / build designing? Since I'vegotten better and more knowledgeable in the game I realize that I have such ahuge knowledge gap, which is amplified in SSF. The biggest gap I have is how to reroll into a stronger build than your league starter, which is ...probably the most crucial part in SSF. In trade league you still need to know what build to reroll into, but you get that by spending 10ex, 25 ex, 100ex....

So here's how I see PoE progression in SSF...

    1) Farm gear/currency on your "league starter"

    2) Identify a build that scales with currency / is meta for being a "league ender"

    3) Identify pieces of gear you need to craft, pieces you already have, and pieces you need to farm for / obtain.

    4) Execute the reroll

In my lack of PoE knowledge, I tend to skip straight from step 1 to 4, where I loosely get inspiration for a build based off what i see or what items drop, that may or may not even be good. For example if I dropped a Cospri's I'd go COC 100%. If I drop a +3 phys staff I'd do some conversion memes. I dropped a Mistwall day 2 or 3 in the league and I rerolled melee ele hit raider because raider was reworked and the PoB didnt look dogshit, just...not great. I try to becritical of myself and overly think things through so I have some insight as towhy I have this so-called analysis paralysis.

*Bleed block glad is so strong because all you need are levels (passive tree builds itself) and a shitty 250 p dps multimodded elder axe.

*SSF can influence you to think of builds that might be shitty. Pick up a bunch of primordial jewels? Bait yourself into playing an elementalist penance brand. Pickup a volconus? Maybe battlemage volconus BF/BB is a meme and not that strong.

*SSF end-endgame requires you to craft well. Every piece of gear needs a purpose. Bleed glads only really need 1 decent piece of gear...a decently rolled elder axe or bow.

*I am still new to the game...really been playing only for a year, and half of that has been in SSF.

*I don't know how to identify builds that scale well with gear (e.g. a league "ender"), scale well without gear (strong league starter) and....dont scale even with great gear (just a shit build)

*I see streamers who know how to play SSF, who know how to reroll into stronger builds, who know how to craft...etc....

*I make my own builds for the most part, sometimes taking inspiration from poe.ninja / other streamers

Is this where Irealize I am too inexperienced to make non-league starter builds work on SSF, and SSF isnt for me, and the only reason I've been enjoying SSF is because I can do a fuck ton of end game content with practically 1 mediocrely-rolled weapon? Is this where I realize I should go back to trade league and learn how to take a character that starts off weak and ends strong and see it through?

The only reason why I enjoy SSF is because I dont trade, and because I can do the content because certain really strong builds enable me. I get frustrated when I am too inexperienced to do Uber Elder / Uber Atziri / Maven. I get frustrated when I look at the 50th PoB I made and its another 500k dps build. I get a little frustrated when I see HCSSF streamers move on to their 2nd, 3rd build (not dying) and I am still 3 weeks in aimlessly wandering around on my glad.

Some of you might comment on "well does it matter, if youre having fun youre having fun" but I'm like Quin and I guess other streamers in that my happiness in the game is tied to how well my character is doing. If I feel stuck on a good character I dont want to play, where all my other characters are far weaker....it just feels like...I am in a prison I made haha.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this, if you've gotten this far. Really just trying to pick the brains of more experienced people. Maybe I transitioned to SSF too early. Maybe I am missing some vital piece of information on how to reroll and make SSF better. Don't get me wrong I love SSF, its just....I feel stuck on my league start wandering around aimlessly picking up gear without purpose.

    Templar shenanigans help

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 12:55 AM PST

Basically trying to theorycraft a templar CoC/CI build! I know pretty much every single CoC build runs assassin for obvious reasons, though I feel that some of the things inquisitor brings to the table at least merits some looking at....that and templar is just my favorite class out of the bunch. I'd like to at least try and make it work, though just having that sinking feeling this is doomed to fail (that and to be blunt, I've never tried a build like this before, so outside of CI and maybe zealot's oath to combo with the consecrated ground ascendancy passive, I'm a bit lost).

Any opinions/ideas or help would be much appreciated!

Why arc elementalists do not use inpulsa

    Posted: 04 Feb 2021 09:04 AM PST

I'd say, I am semi-new player. Thus I am sorry if you find my question dumb. It is my first serious league start. I was starting as chieftain and played fire baldevortex. Now I decided to make my old dream, arc witch with explosions. (After getting Assenath's explody gloves on bv, I can't play without big boooms) So, I opened poe ninja's build section and saw that top dps elementalists with arc, are no longer using Inpulsa. They've switched to staff+cloak of defiance. I understand that it adds some survivability, but what about screen-wide explosions? Could you maybe point me to the comparison or explanation for this? I was looking for one, but did not succeed. Thank you in advance! Have a lovely day.

Hey, Im a fairly new player currently playing a poison blade vortex build.

Im trying to do the maven's invitations to unlock the uncharted realms but I get oneshot in less than 2 seconds every time, is there something I can improve with about 3-4 ex or should I just reroll a safer boss killer?
